    Came in for a late dinner and really enjoyed my experience. The vibes/ambience were great, big fan of the interior design! Food & drinks were pretty good, definitely more of a fan of this place for the ambience. Would definitely come back again- i really enjoyed the vibes.

    Been here twice and both times Ive been impressed by the food and ambiance! Such creative takes on Chinese cuisine with unique beverage names and street-food style appetizers. Its pretty easy to get seated without a reservation on weekdays, but since the space is small, I would recommend a reservation for bigger groups (3+). Service can be on and off from my experience, but the food and ambiance really make the place worth it! Great place for a date:)

    Early dinner on a saturday // perfect cocktails - seated immediately // standouts were the duck fried rice, scallion pancakes, green beans, and dessert sesame balls. the music was amazing, the service was 10/10, and the lighting and decor made it feel so cozy and special.

    The vibe and atmosphere here is on point. The interior design and setup are so beautiful and traditional its so stunning. Too bad its packed! Thank goodness we got a table without a crazy wait and we didnt get a reservation. For drinks, we got Monkey King, moon goddess, and the red sorghum. Though small these drinks were strong. For food, we ordered mala calamari, godmothers chicken wings, sweet and sour ribs, and crispy tofu. Everything was so delicious except for the crispy tofu. It was a sponge of mala which just numbed your tongue. Which was not enjoyable. The places were tapa style so it was very small. I love the aesthetic and charm of this place so much. Def coming back for drinks and small plates but will eat before coming here. The biggest downfall to this place is that its so packed we are so so so rushed to order and leave.

    Came here by a recommendation from a bartender from Swift-London.With my wife we had 4 different cocktails, and they were truly unique; the combination of flavors and the presentation was excellent, following a Chinese style of ingredients. Not something you will find on any place.Atmosphere was really cool as the decoration made you feel in Asia.Service was the only bad thing. Whilst the waiters are really attentive and friendly, the bartenders at the bar are extremely rude.Kitchen closed at 11pm but nobody cared to tell us.

    Place is pretty, food is great ( small and pricey tho ) , cocktail are a bit too sweet. ( great selection tho ) Service could be improved, 90 minutes is too short for a nice dinner with 2 rounds of drinks. There should be an extension if the expenditure of a table exceed certain amount.

    Delicious! We got the changsha spiced chicken, garlic green beans, scallion pancakes, crispy tofu and the golden corn. Each dish has such unique flavors, well definitely be back! For drinks, we got the hongkong milk punch, red sorghum and the nightingale.

    Yes Apothecary has been on my bucket list for months and finally we got a chance to give it a try with my foodie squad.Ye’s Apothecary is a perfect spot for drinking and there wasn’t various food options. However, the food was surprisingly decent and my personal favorite was the Crab Tofu. We also loved their Golden Corn which was appetizing and matched with alcohol.

    Gorgeous place and great service!!!. Food and drinks blend perfectly together. The drinks are unique compared to the places I went so I really enjoyed it. And the best apps were the pork potstickers and the mushroom salad. We sat at the bar and the bartender took really good care of us. Definitely get the Bird’s Nest drink, it’s strong and sweet which I loved. Or the Empress Wu, which was delightfully refreshing. I have no doubt that I will be coming back!

    We came here after putting our names down for Double Chicken Please, a cocktail bar around the corner from here and had estimated our wait time to be 90 minutes. We were lucky enough to snag seats at the bar, which normally can seat about 6 or so. Struck up a nice conversation with the bartender, Eric, who is also the bar manager. I got 2 fantastic drinks, both well made and well balanced. The bar in general wasnt too busy for a Sunday evening, with it being quiet enough to have a conversation, and the lighting being good enough to see across the space and take in the atmosphere. Eric overheard we were celebrating an anniversary, and even sent us on our way with a little sample of baiju, and recommendations for other bars. Would definitely come back.

    Good service, nice interior, dimly lit. It’s a good date spot. The drinks were really good - the HK Milk Punch and 2046 were tasty! The food was good but not great - we got the mango chicken, mushroom salad, and dan dan noodles, out of those the mango chicken was my favorite. They said we only had the table for 1.5 hour, but it seemed like the party after didn’t come so we stayed an extra 30 minutes.

    This is a pretty new subterranean speakeasy designed in grand old Hong Kong style, and is possibly the best expression of what a fancy, elevated Chinatown establishment can be!DrinksThey were out of the 2 whisky based cocktails we wanted to try, but the servers recommended perfect alternatives. The cocktails are SPECTACULAR, reasonably priced for the degree of craft involved, and incredibly interesting.We had a whisky drink with some kind of flavored ice cube, their version of a pisco sour, a sriracha and pineapple mezcal cocktail (somehow weirdly works), a gin drink with pear and ginger, and a specialty Gin and Tonic with oolong tea.FoodWe got the chicken wings and the Chonqing style flash fried chicken and chilis. Both plates were absolutely packed with flavor, and complemented the drinks perfectly.Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu.

I didn’t the food, but I heard good things and will definitely come back.The drinks were good, the waiters were super nice, and the ambience is great.Definitely recommended for a date (not first dates tho because the space is limited and you want to have your privacy), and if you’re in the mood for some spicy authentic Chinese cuisine!

    It’s rare for me to give all 5 starts to a joint, but Ye’s delivered, fully. Four of us savored provocative dishes such as the mushroom salad, soup laiden dumplings, yuzu shrimp and the signature , scintillating Shangha chicken amongst others. Paired with an assortment of exquisite cocktails, a lovely server the moody atmosphere , we leftYes with more of a memory than simply just a meal.

    Newish cocktail bar by the brains behind Blue Willow. Did not disappointOrdered the braised pork belly and Sichuan wontons. Both dishes were great! Note also that the dishes were smaller portions, more like tapas, so other patrons shouldnt go here thinking about dinner. For drinks, we ordered Afternoon Tea, Birds Nest, Nightingale, Evergreen, Old Chengdu, and Last Call. Expert craftsmanship with each cocktail. I was very impressed. Ambiance (very imtimate) was awesome and service was great too!Will definitely be back!

    Great vibe, great food, and good drinks… out of the 3 I ordered, I only liked the ‘Last Call’ which is their version of a pisco sour, it was very well done and balanced all the flavors of a great pisco sour. The ‘Spicy Paloma’ was salty and yucky. The ‘Afternoon Tea’ was very sweet, so it might be good for you if you enjoy sweet drinks.Food wise, everything we ordered was very tasty and good, a bit overpriced for the size of the dishes but you’re going to a hip place so you get hip prices.

    Lovely ambiance for a date night. The food is truly delicious, though you may leave a little hungry given the price point. Their drink menu is truly imaginative.     One of the best foods and drinks I’ve had in nyc. All the dishes we ordered were literally SO good, I don’t like tofu that much but their crispy tofu was my favorite dish! Everything was full with flavor. I would definitely go back again and try the other items on the menu, I don’t think there would be anything in the menu that I wouldn’t like. Also the server was extremely friendly and attentive. The ambience was great and the music choice was very nice too!I would 100% recommend this place to anyone!!I can’t wait to go back already.

    Perfect date spot. Came here with 4 girls. Every drink was impeccable. Allie and Shor set us up perfectly, they were so helpful with their amazing recs. I got the Nightingale and it came in the tallest glass I have ever seen which was almost as thrilling as the exquisite flavor profile.

    Food are spicy enough and drinks are delicate and cute. Nice ambience also.Note that there isnt a phone number yet so if you need to reach out to the bar, Instagram DM is a way.We arrived fairly early to the reservation time ( 30 min early) and stated that we have an additional guest joining us, the host seems upset about this but did arrange an additional seating for us. When I DMed the Instagram account, the person replying it said adding an additional person wont be a problem and the bar wasnt crowded that night. I only wish the host can handle the situation with more calm and patience instead of giving me an upset attitude ( or I just over interpreted)Server for the table is friendly and knowledgeable.

    The cutest speakeasy with Szechuan dishes and strong drinks! The Yuzu shrimp is a must appetizer! It’s crispy shrimp dipped in sweet & slightly spicy sauce. Sichuan wontons is a classic, light dish, the chili oil tasted, very authentic and the pork was flavorful and savory.

    Yes Apothecary is a speakeasy modeled after old Hong Kong-style cafes. It features cocktails inspired by Chinese medicinal heritage. I tried 3 of their cocktails and loved all of them. They also serve Sichuan food, which I read from reviews is incredibly spicy. I didnt get any food this time but will be back next time to see just how spicy it is!

    Ye’s Apothecary is a sichuan restaurant located conveniently on the Lowest East Side. It’s got the traditional with modern vibe integrated throughout the entire restaurant. The bar seemingly looks like an upscale contemporary Chinese medicine cabinet you usually see in a Chinese pharmacy. Their drinks are also Chinese medicinal heritage inspired. Their friendly, attentive, and professional staffs brought out drinks and food so quick we were super surprised.     Everything was great except one thing. I made a reservation on Monday for Friday night. When I show up they say “ we see you made a reservation but there is no table assigned for you”. Like come on, make it make sense. I appreciate that they found somewhere for me to sit but it was at the back of the restaurant along the wall on stools and it was tight space and a bit uncomfortable. They promised that once a table opened up they would move us but we saw two parties get seated and at the end of the night they said they would not be able to sit us at a table. Other than that the food was really good and the drinks were great. If there is a problem with the reservation software it should be addressed promptly.

    Went Sunday night and food, ambiance, and service were outstanding. We ordered across the menu, and the chicken and shrimp dishes were particularly memorable (the mango chicken and skewers were great, yuzu and garlic shrimp were incredible, but the wings were too oily). Drinks were solid as well, and the dessert was great. We were pretty famished so did not take any pictures sadly.

    The atmosphere fit the aesthetic of it being an old speakeasy yet with a modern twist.The food was delicious, definitely feeling like Chinese soul food if you like northern cuisine. Surprisingly my favorite dish of the night was the truffle mushroom salad and the Empress Wu drink was refreshing. The great thing about the drinks was you can tell they don’t skimp out on the alcohol.Overall a great place to grab I some food and go for drinks.

    I am only giving them 4 stars for inconsistency. This was easily one of my favorite restaurants but 2/6 times it was completely awful. Not sure if it’s the chef or what happened those times but it’s disappointing that it’s so inconsistent.Golden corn is the best when it’s a good day otherwise you’d just get kernels of dough. Same with Spiced chicken. Morning glory is the best dish! The beef skewers are actually so good.

    THE best date night spot! The interior is small and intimate so I recommend making a reservation. Everything is perfectly curated, from the design of the space to the wall lamps to the cocktail menu. The food is incredible and portions are pretty big for the price. And obviously, the cocktails are the highlight if you want to try something new and unique! We will absolutely be coming back.

    Brought our party of 8 here as an escape from the rain.. the vibe was so amazing that we decided to stay for drinks. The smell of the food was SO incredible that we asked to be put on the list for food. The staff was so incredibly gracious, and the floor Manager Erik was so friendly, kind and accommodating through our entire food that it added to an amazing evening. The food was out of this world, drinks were incredible and the only thing that could possibly top those was the fantastic service. We’ll be coming back again and again.

    Ye’s has a great selection of very unique cocktails, some of the most unique cocktails I’ve ever seen. The 2 I ordered were very delicious and well made with intention. The food also was quite delicious. In particular, the duck fried rice was a standout dish. The garlic green beans and the chicken were also great but the fried rice really was the star for me. Service could be better as one of the waitresses kept asking us multiple times if we were finished with a dish despite it being half full and then a quarter full. On top of that, she asked if she can bring us the check an hour into the meal even though we were not finished with the meal.

    Came here on a date last night. Food is excellent, server was extremely attentive without being overly pushy. Must try the spiced chicken and the cucumber salad. The dressing on it was so unique and flavorful. Food came out quick but we did not feel rushed to eat. The atmosphere is dark, sexy, and feels like you’re being transported to an underground speakeasy. The entrance is a little hidden but I love that vibe. Recommend for date or small group.

    Highly recommend this gem of a place! The dishes are delicious - some top contenders: Chairman’s Pork Belly, Sichuan Wontons (one of the best in NYC), lamb chops, lobster spring rolls, crispy tofu, amongst many other yummy dishes. Definitely try the drinks as well, very unique and tasty. Favorites are the Nightingale and Fallen Angel (pictured).

    We had a great time! The service was very nice and helpful, we didn’t feel rushed but we also didn’t intend to be there for more than 90 minutes. The food comes out VERY fast so it’s easy to show up and get started with your evening. If you’re looking for slow dining this isn’t the place. For two people, I suggest 3 dishes- we ordered four and it was just too much considering a lot of the food is fried. The drinks were amazing, food was delicious, definitely will be back!

    Dragons fly together…Not the first time here but service was immaculate, food was incredible (especially garlic prawns and salted egg corn), and the drinks were special.     A cocktail bar with numerous small asian drinking snack dishes to share. The small tables really isnt setup for medium groups, get ready to be cozy. Fried shrimp, corn, ribs were good.     Cool Chinese place with an ambiance. Great cocktails. I had the spicy fish, crispy tofu, and omg the corn was the best corn I had. I know who talks about the corn at a restaurant. Never had corn like that before. Somewhat sweet but crispy corn.

    Wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant, staff was friendly, quick, and attentive. The food was some of the best Sichuan cuisine Ive had in the city and I loved the cocktail I had with my meal. Will absolutely be making this a frequent downtown visit.

    Beautiful, cosy bar serving cocktails with a twist! Theres a great atmosphere at Yes with its dark, but rich décor. Its bigger than one would expect as theyre walking down the stairs, but reservations are still recommended - we arrived as it opened for our 17:00 reservation for 4, and the place soon filled up! We had some cocktails and a couple of bites - the Popstickers and Spicy Wantons were both delicious and moreish! The Lost Hours cocktail was a smokey, aromatic delight (a twist on a Manhattan), and the Birds Nest was a bit of fun, served with a Pear Lollipop. My only gripe are the prices - the cocktails are quite small for $18, and the small bites were $15 each. The servers were super friendly!

    The food was very delicious. Some of the cocktails could be hit or miss. We were reminded many, many times that the table was only for 90 minutes and it just felt very rushed. I think this is an average sit down time at most restaurants but the constant reminders of it when we were trying to celebrate a special night but a damper on it.

    If the restaurant owner is reading this, please fix this issue already. It seems like a consistent feedback here.The place had great atmosphere, food and drinks are great. Our waiter was also nice and definitely didn’t deserve this four star.Everything was great until the end of our dinner. We got rushed out by some other member even before our table’s 90 mins was up. People come to your spot for a good and relaxing time and it’s really unnecessary to aggressively push people out as soon as they’re done with the dishes.Customers are customers, not a timed ATM.Many restaurants are popular in the city but they know the value of respecting their customers. There are better ways to keep the turnover rate high and make sure people are gonna come back.
