Wow...blown away by the Filipino/Spanish fusion! A friend mentioned this spot to my husband and said we had to try it. While I love traditional Filipino food, its always awesome to see any kind of fusion. They have solid Happy Hour deals so we tried a few items from that menu as well as their regular one. They dont have a full liquor license yet but serve wine and cocktails with shochu or sake.Loved- Pork belly adobo ala plancha: Perfectly cooked with the right amount of flavor!- Oyster sisig: What a great twist on a classic dish! I typically dont eat sisig but I love oysters, so what a great combo for me to dive into sisig. Great portion size and crispiness.- Crab congee: I dont eat congee but I love crab! Im not obsessed with this dish and feels like what everyone should be eating on a cold day.- Spicy margaritaLiked- Boquerones: I love white anchovies and this was just OK for me. It wasnt bad but maybe I hyped it up too much in my head.- Pimientos de padron: I always order a shishito peppers dish and while good, it was as expected.- Chorizo shrimp al ajillo: The chorizo was too sweet for me and the garlic wasnt as strong as Id like for a shrimp al ajillo. Moreeee garlic please! The bread was also too hard - kind of like croutons.

We stumbled upon this tapas place and were glad we did! The food was phenomenal. Every single dish was delicious! The Pork belly skewers and mussels are a must! The coconut curry sauce that came with the mussels was so delicious I literally asked for a spoon to finish it. The servers were very friendly and attentive. I wish they had a dessert menu! Other than that it was a fantastic dinner.

I really want to try all their Tapas (appetizer) it was so yummy. My favorite was the oyster sisig, callos, and Lengua estofado. And the best dish for Entrada (Entrees) was Sizzling Crispy Pata. I highly recommend checking it out, the environment is very nice for having dinner with your friends or your loved ones. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Literally one of the best restaurants in town! The place is so amazing, and the food is just mind-blowing. As someone who craves Filipino food ALL THE TIME, this is the best one in the city! Drinks and food are top notch and everyone is sooo nice. AND THEY HAVE RED HORSE!!

A wonderful new Filipino Spanish tapas bar. The staff were very warm and hospitable and everything we tried was great. If I had to pick, my personal favorites were the bone marrow steak fried rice and the oyster sisig. Very nice espresso martini as well. I will definitely be back!

Some very enjoyable Filipino x Spanish dishes. I wish I had more pictures to share… presentation was nice, and flavors were very good. Our server was a pro, very friendly and welcoming, and the food and drink came out in a timely manner. This place has real promise if they can improve the inside atmosphere a tad, which is my only real critique. I found it cold and kind of austere due to the hard-surfaced seating, which was very cold to the touch. Even though the food and drink were lovely, I just couldn’t quite warm up inside. It would honestly deter me from another visit, so I really hope they make a change there, because everything else was quite enjoyable. Perhaps they can add some seat covers or cushions if they can’t afford new seats all together.Otherwise, I won’t probably go back until it is significantly warmer.

Celebrated my birthday at 87 Ludlow with my daughter and closest friends. We were greeted with warmth upon entrance. As soon as we got seated, our beverages and appetizers were served with the waiter’s genial smile. I lost count of how many dishes we ordered and how much food we actually consumed; one came after another and it honestly felt like we had a secret personal chef in the kitchen working to our utmost satisfaction! Seriously, we were spoiled. Thank you so much to Chef Aris and his beautiful wife, Amanda, Chef Pirpo, and the rest of the 87 Ludlow staff for taking such great care of us last night albeit being the loudest group in the restaurant. Glad we didn’t get kicked out. 😊😂❤️

Great space and awesome staff.Every dish was tasty, but the mussels were a standout. Get extra bread for the curry broth.

  • Review 11 (2024-10-27 - Rating: 4)

Very good Spanish-Filipino restaurant serving tasty tapas. Small space and can be very noisy. The staff is very friendly and the drinks are also very good

  • Review 12 (2024-08-04 - Rating: 4)

87 Ludlow is lovely Spanish Filipino restaurant. The service and atmosphere were great and the staff were very accommodating. The food overall was fantastic. The rice with blood marrow was delicious and by far the best dish. The only down side was it seemed fairly small. We also ordered the Paella Negra (Paella cooked with squid ink). It was also delicious but similar to the other dish a bit too small.

The Ludlow Team + Amanda were phenomenal and basically saved my wedding. They catered according to our budget, no negotiations and hidden fees, plus they listened to our request of serving Trinidadian food (my husband is Trini) alongside Filipino food. Our guests were RAVING about how delicious each dish was. My husband and I couldnt be happier. Thank you so so much chef and the team for making our special day absolutely jaw droppingly delicious!

  • Review 17 (2023-12-17 - Rating: 5)

I ate here last night with a group of friends to celebrate the holidays, and we had an amazing experience. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding….and we ordered nearly everything on the menu. The short rib and crispy pata were out of this world. We ordered double and ate every bite. Do not hesitate to eat here. You will love it and return many times. I plan on eating here the next chance I get. The atmosphere and service were also fantastic. This establishment deserves more than 5 stars.

  • Review 18 (2024-09-04 - Rating: 5)

Went here for a joint birthday dinner and was very impressed. I didn’t know much about this place, but was pleasantly surprised. We were able to get a private table for a large party, ~10+ people. The staff were super friendly, quick, and attentive. I don’t remember the names of the dishes, we shared everything family style - but everything came out fantastic. I know it’s a new business, and they are certainly coming out strong. I pass by Ludlow quite often in the city, would definitely come back again. I highly recommend this place.

  • Review 19 (2024-02-25 - Rating: 5)

This lovely cool new spot on the happening LES of New York boasts a great vibe, great food and wonderful service. We had the crab and salted egg tapas along with the shrimp and chorizo. For Entrada we had the short ribs and the chicken thighs. Besides being a great spot, the ambiance is warm and cozy and the music is great. A wonderful spot for lovely night out with friends. Thanks to chef Aris and his lovely partner Amanda for a memorable night. We will be back. 5 stars all the way around.

  • Review 20 (2024-02-20 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic Spanish/Filipino tapas experience! The variety of dishes was impressive, each bursting with rich flavor. From the classic pork sisig to unique seafood options, dishes that caught my attention was the Oyster Sisig, tender crispy pata, steak fried rice and the uni palabok, every bite was mouthwatering. Beside the delicious food, what truly made me go back here was the cozy ambiance and attentive service. As soon I stepped inside, i was greeted by warm lighting and a charming interior that made me feel relax and comfortable. The staff always took great care of us, thank you... From the diverse selection of flavorful tapas to the inviting atmosphere and great service, this place has it all. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

If you are lucky enough to get a reservation here, do it! First of all, the food is something you cannot get anywhere else. Delicious, great prices, and a unique fusion of Filipino and Spanish tapas that I didn’t even know I needed. The vibes are incredible, the staff is extremely friendly and love to take care of the guests above and beyond. Will be coming back to make this place a regular go-to (as long as I can get a reservation once everyone else catches on!)

  • Review 23 (2024-12-05 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 24 (2024-01-08 - Rating: 4)

Bone marrow with rice and steak was very tasty, Ill eat 3 servings in one sitting. Isaw was overcooked, crispy pata was nothing special and I couldnt taste the tamarind that was described in the menu.

  • Review 25 (2023-11-01 - Rating: 4)

A new tapas place. The food was good, and we are considering coming back to try other dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive.

  • Review 26 (2024-03-11 - Rating: 5)

Flavorful and satisfying! We started with the Callos, which combined a slightly sweet delectable sauce with astoundingly tender chopped tripe (I would liken it to a savory marshmallow, almost). The chorizo and garbanzo played their part serviceably. We followed it with the Uni Palabok. The uni and caviar were very tasty, and it was nice to try quality ingredients. However, the relative intensity of the sauce somewhat drowned out the more delicate flavors of the uni and caviar.(From my wife who grew up eating Palabok, it is *extremely* elevated)Our last entree was the Lengua de Champinon, and it was phenomenal! The tongue was expertly cooked and wonderfully tender, and the creamy mushroom sauce was a great pairing for it.For dessert, they dont have it listed on the menu yet, but they had some Tres Leches cake available. The cake was perfectly saturated with milk sauce while maintaining its form, and instead of the standard whipped cream, it had meringue on top which was quite interesting! It was a bit pricey, but the menu is online so thats no surprise.

  • Review 27 (2024-01-11 - Rating: 5)

What a find! We were so pleasantly surprised with this filipino-spanish fusion restaurant. Great cocktails—they’re new and still getting their liquor license so mostly sake & sochu options. I personally think the octopus, oyster sisig and chicken thigh are a must. Not kidding when I say all was delicious with great flavor. Want to come back for the curry mussels and they are hoping to add dessert soon!

  • Review 28 (2024-05-06 - Rating: 5)

I came here for the “Almusal Pop Up” and everything was wonderful - food, ambience, service. Staff was friendly and attentive. We got the bone marrow steak fried rice, oyster sisig, and uni palabok. I definitely want to come back and try more of their dishes!

  • Review 29 (2023-11-09 - Rating: 4)

Delicious. Would def recommend for casual but quiet and slightly elevated Filipino fusion food. Just opened end of Oct 2023. Theyre going to change their menu to have more variety of ingredients; the menu is not vegetarian-friendly. The pork mains were both delicious. Crispy pata and oyster sisig are top two I would recommend. The sinaglaw is like a branzino Filipino ceviche — my fave.
