Horn’s Hook Tavern is always a good spot to grab a few beers and/or some good food- literally everything on the menu is excellent and the staff are always friendly. Whether you’re in the mood for a solid burger or something off their weekly special menu, you will not be disappointed. The fries are excellent as a snack. They may be on the pricey side, but it’s a small price to pay for comfort and a good time. You will never be hungry after eating at Horn’s Hook Tavern.Usually live music on Friday nights and they play the sound for NY sports games or college games when people are in to watch.

Highly recommend their burgers. I got the Smoking Musket this time. The patty was very juicy. It goes very well with the texture of thick bacon. Love it! The pizza Margherita was also pretty good. I love the thin crust and the slightly sour tomato sauce.

We were in the area and stumbled upon this cool place. Revolutionary war themed but also a Texas Longhorn backer-bar. Ailey, the bartender, was super awesome and made the best espresso martinis! She had a full bar and her ability to be attentive to all of the patrons at the same time crank out some serious drinks was impressive! Cool vibe and laid back atmosphere with cool music.

Best bar food on the Upper East Side (and possibly ever). We started to go to this place due to the close proximity to our apartment and returned countless times, sometimes far out of our way, because the food is so good. This has a larger than normal menu for a bar, with daily specials and a good amount of healthy options. Everything we have tried has been delicious, and I have left here happier than I have from meals triple the price. The staff is also great

Tried this place out for the first time this week and it did not disappoint. I got the Soldier’s Sandwich which was a pulled pork sandwich with with cheese, coleslaw, pickles, and a large side of fries. My girlfriend got the Burr, a spicy chicken sandwich also with fries which she enjoyed. I also had their hard cider which was sweet and would definitely have again.

We stopped for an after-work beer,It is the first time we entered Horns Hook Tavern.We also ordered Burgers.We were pleasantly surprised, the Burgers were excellent, made exacty as we requested, the sauces and toppings did not spoil the enjoyment of the meat and the fries were oeefect. Great service,The place is definitely recommended.

Takes “bar food” to new heights. Good selection of beers. I tried one that was called maple something. I wasn’t expecting to like it but it had just a hint of maple and was quite delicious. I had a little roasted pumpkin filled with butternut squash risotto that was delicious and vegetarian.

Love this place! Popped in on a Friday night and again on Sunday afternoon. Nice surprise to see London Pride on tap. Ordered the wings which were a great recommendation by the staff working there. Great friendly service and atmosphere. Will be back for sure!

I love the welcoming atmosphere bar, spacious, clean and warm vibes here filled with relaxed, regular locals. Enough TVs for sports watchinf. There are rows of tables alongside and that can easily be pushed together to accommodate a larger group, which we did on a weekday night. And as the post work crowd rolled, it got busy quickly and I was surprised wseeing just one person taking orders for the entire place. We were patient and got what we needed. The menu has a ton on it, it was hard to choose! Our favorites, the perogies, pasta and pretzel (the pizza was thin crust and just ok). No HH specials and thats ok, you come here for the comfy atmosphere and the comfort food, well try the wings next time! Enjoy!

Excellent buffalo wings and I mean some of the best Ive ever had. Bone in and boneless (house made) recommended. The sauce was delicious with great buttermilk fried crisp. Slider sampler was also excellent although sliders are small. I had the Burr, the Hook style and the Hale. The bartender, Emma, was a professional. Also, they play the game sound rather than music which is awesome and appreciated!!

At the beginning of first arriving, the wait staff was not very pleasant, found out later that it was near the end of her shift. But the rest of the time, the wait staff was very good!The food was creative, liked the fish and chips alot!There were many dipping sauces in the sampler!All of the NY team games were televised. Very clean and overall a great time!We were there for the drinks, mainly, as we had our Cheers for Fall passport which allows us to enjoy a bar place that we wouldnt have thought to go to!

Thus was my local bar for over 2 years on the UES. The staff is so great and the food is absolutely delicious. It was also my local kitchen as there’s so many great options to keep me coming back and eating different things. Highly recommend and I stop by every time I’m back in NYC!

The best bar food in the UES. Hard to even call it bar food because of how great it is (and I’m a harsh critic). Also the best staff, who are extremely friendly and are a big reason why this is our favorite spot to come. Shout out to Conor! We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 9 years and will always recommend Horn’s Hook as our #1 spot ❤️

Food is fantastic--lots of different options, including vegan. vegetarian, pescatarian, and all taste great. (I personally am a pescatarian and its GREAT to have multiple options.) Many thoughtful choices on the menu--its still basically comfort food but not the usual nachos/mozzarella sticks/quesadillas pub lineup. So far Ive had the mini lobster roll (half the size and price of a full lobster roll, just as delicious) and the Abigail Adams veggie sliders with aioli (also delicious). Look forward to trying the Yankee Doodle macaroni dish next (this dish has multiple options). Wonderful, warm, *friendly* service. Cant wait til this place fully opens and I can try their brunch dishes. Interior is elegantly decked out with Revolutionary-era maps and paintings, and a nice big horseshoe-shaped bar just waiting for some Phase 4 crowds. Lots of TVs so looks to be a fun place to watch soccer, baseball or whatever floats your boat. Great addition to the neighborhood and its nice to have a bar with a theme that actually relates to the local history instead of another generic Irish bar.

As a consumate American (despite my surname ending in a z), Ive not yet felt more comfortable in any other pub in this neighborhood yet. Thanks!Also, after having taken a peep at the menu tonight (4/9/22), Im looking forward to enjoying what appears to be a really delicious and well-rounded offering of salads, sliders, tacos, muscles, burgers, and so on. Brunch items, it says on the menu, is served all day, every day, which, certainly, is a good thing when Spring weather (and Sundays with folk brave enough to leave their apartment and compiters) finally gets underway and in-swing, for real.Frankly, Ive not yet managed to pass through The Tavern before midnight in the half-dozen times Ive landed there, enjoying the vibe and the top-notch hospitality (and excelent conversation with other patrons).Certainly, should I make a friend or two in this neighborhood who solicits from me a suggestion for some place to rendezvous for good grub and good converstaion, Horns Hook will definitely be on the top of my list!

Outstanding food! The hanger steak sandwich was amazing, albeit a little small. The waitress recommended the wings twice and i could tell my cousin wasnt feeling em but they were fantastic. Honestly they were good enough i feel they should be on a “best of” UES list somewhere. The first cocktail was strong and then not as much later.Most importantly we went for the jets game on a thursday. They had amazon prime (not many bars in the area carry it) and they played the commentary in the bar. I loved that. Not some random loud music, but the actual game.I think this bar might have become my personal go-to for sports. Its lowkey. Kinda quiet. More of a restaurant than a bar but still a bar, if that makes sense.

Sorry, I walked past this place for too long. I finally stopped in twice recently, and was so pleasantly surprised. The food was good. The service was good. The owner was very sweet. I’m glad the neighborhood has this place. I just wish they’d put more fish on the menu (not fried, )as I should not have meat but I had their burger and a salad with it. It was excellent no fat, dripping out of it done perfectly and very tasty. The crowd is mixed. I’m older most people were younger, but there was an element of some older people there, too a nice group of people. It’s a must go to. So glad it’s in my neighborhood, and I finally woke up and walked in.all the food that came out of the kitchen that everybody was eating, looked good, and they all loved their meals!!see you soon!

Fantastic spot for a beer and really really friendly staff. I got The Hamilton, a beer battered chicken sandwich. To be honest, the sandwich was kind of underwhelming.That said, I fully plan on going back (maybe within the week)! The ambiance was just great and the friend pickles were tasty. So far, I had the General Pulaski’s kielbasa in puff pastry and Hamilton‘s sandwich and I plan on ordering them again! I loved this place! The atmosphere there is really warm. There is a wide choice of drinks and food, the playlist is incredible and you can even play darts. It’s really hassle-free and I had a great evening.
