If youre from the UK and you see the name Onieals, you expect the worst. But this is better than any Irish bar Ive been to. Decent cocktails, cute outdoor seating and a solid food menu. Pretty good for lunch or an afternoon snack.

After not enjoying anything we were having all weekend we decided to walk into onieal’s and genuinely had the best meal i’ve ever eaten in nyc! the french onion soup is a must and when I asked for the chicken on my pasta to be blackened I was expecting an up charge and there was no up charge and refill for soda were free! I will definitely be back anytime I am in the area!

Charming establishment in the Little Italy portion of downtown Manhattan. Low light and romantic air are set by dark walls and table lamps that welcome intimate conversation and togetherness. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a glass of wine while attending the San Genero feast and we were pleasantly surprised. Our little section near the bar area was comfortable and inviting.

Fantastic American fare restaurant in the Bowery where Little Italy meets Chinatown. Cozy and intimate inside with a small seating dining room and some less formal bar seating. Staff is informative, inquisitive, and knowledgeable. Would not suggest taking children. No accommodations available for them. This is a date night type restaurant. Even though the bill will run $35 - $50 per person for dinner and drinks the food is 5 star, the atmosphere excellent and cozy, and well worth the time spent to go.

Great food and welcoming staff. We came in on a Saturday night and got a table for two right away. I had Sea Bass and my wife had a Strawberry Salad. My fish was done perfectly and the entire dish presented nicely. My wifes also really enjoyed her salad. They have restrooms in the basement. The space is beautiful inside. They have a very nice bar and the ceiling is made of carved wood. You can just go here to the bar area for only drinks or you can get food too.

Onieals is a popular restaurant and bar at a quiet corner of a busy Grand street on the edge of SOHO and SOHO. It receives many tourists. Their staff are attentive and provide good services. They also have good food and drink menus.

10 years and this place is still a favorite of mine. Classy but not douchy, warm and cozy, good seating for groups and good food/drinks! I love their amazing wooden ceiling and atmosphere. Plus its got a little prohibition history with it. A mix of after work folks, and people i havent thought to categorize, its never obnoxious and most importantly its comfortable - I hate cramming into a drafty bar just because its trendy. Not Onieals, this place has it all.

Their new bar manager Charlie is such a great bartender and single handedly makes my experience every time I go there. He’s fun and funny and most importantly a great bartender. When I don’t know what to drink, he’ll help me think through what I want. He’s even gone as far as to make me a special cocktail. I’ll go back just for him.

Onieal’s is a Little Italy staple. The vibes are super cozy and old school. It’s a spacious bar offering seating for large parties. The food menu is mainly American serving a variety of burgers, salads, soups, fried foods, and drinks. The bartenders are really cute and outgoing. Always have a wonderful time here at any point in the day. Great place to watch sports too. I’d also suggest this as a date spot.

Love the locations right in little Italy and close to so many other fun things! Our server was SO sweet and super accommodating. I told her it was my fiancés birthday and she went above and beyond to help us celebrate. I wish I had gotten her name! Ambiance feels classy but super relaxed too. You could come here dressed to the nines or in jeans and a tee and fit right in either way. I wish we could have spent more time here but we will be back!

The first time I came here was with my fiance and friends for a few drinks, and I loved the ambiance so much that I brought my mother here the second time we came to NYC. Mum and I had the most amazing meals and cocktails. And our waitress was divine (Heres your cocktail, made with love). I love the wood panelling as well. I just love it all. Also, the fact that an episode of Sex and the City appealed to me on a more shallow level!

I love this place. Its one of the things I will most most as I will no longer be working in the area but this was a staple stop for me at lunch or for after work drinks. There were times when me and my coworkers would spend every day here. Drinks are a little pricey but the food is fairly priced and delicious. The burger, tater tots and fish tacos were my faves! I will definitely be going out of my way to visit.

Extremely surprised when we ordered and that the food tasted absolutely wonderful. I can not comment on the drinks because we were already buzzed and decided not to get wasted.

For a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in this neighborhood there are few better places. The building itself is beautiful inside with high ceilings and a long wood bar. The seating is open and spacious with one area designed more as a lounge and the other half for dining. Beers on tap were decent and the mixed drinks looked good too.

Thursday to Sunday are packed. If you like less people, go on the slower days. If you like the crowd, Thursday to Sunday is the move. Kitchen closes at 1am everyday and 12am on Sunday.

Server was way more interested in the big table with designer handbags, but whatever, he was still friendly. Drinks were good. I was confused on seeing a taco pizza on the menu, but we tried it anyway because we were hungry and it was actually good. So was the burger and spicy fries my friend had. We stopped in again the next day to sit for a hit and have a couple happy hour drinks. Bartender was friendly (Jonathon, I think).

Shane, the bartender played the role of DJ throughout the night, playing our favorite tunes while giving us tips on where to eat and drink during our stay in New York. What started out as a stop to quench my thirst for a Cosmo (while visiting Sex And The City filming locations), quickly became a dinner for my husband and I. We were not disappointed, the steak sandwiches are DELICIOUS and I now dream about them. The Cosmo was up to Carrie standards, and as per my husband, the beer list was good. We highly recommend Onieals to the passer-by or the SITC fan! Either way you will absolutely enjoy your time in the pleasant atmosphere!

My friend Jae Gottlieb( a rising star & live streamer on TikTok ) was dining with her brother Zack ( BibleGirl) and they had the best experience ever . Their server Paige was so sweet and she knew the entire menu inside and out! Franco came by several times. The drinks were delicious! Chris took care of everything! Literally! They were so impressed as were all of us watching! Way to train your staff so that people keep coming back !

We got lucky! We found Onieals through a Google search for American cuisine after the Chinese Lunar parade. This place was so much better than we expected. The interior is so nice and I love the bench seats. Our food and drink were delicious and the tator tots are a must try. The music was amazing 90s/2000s. The best part was the service. Our server made us feel like he was happy we were there, kid and all. And this seemed the place to be because it filled up fast with an impressive looking crowd. Ill definitely be back.
