    What an awesome concept. A coffee bar in the morning, then Da Capo converts to a cocktail lounge at night. I stopped by in the afternoon for a cappuccino, and both the service and coffee were outstanding. We will definitely have to return for lunch or a cocktail. The space is beautiful. It has a great high-end, downtown type feel to it. A very cool place to grab coffee.

    Oh my gosh this sandwich!!!! Not to mention the best ~and strongest~ cocktails we had all trip. Stopped for lunch, it wasn’t too busy and we didn’t expect to be blown away but we were wrong. Excellent!

    Really enjoyed a date night dinner here! The kale salad was a perfect appetizer. The salmon burger was absolutely delicious! The salmon and col slaw were perfectly done. Wedge fries were well seasoned! My husband enjoyed the burger! We had a slice of the grandma pie for desert which had a light lemon taste to it, a refreshing dessert. They are known for their cocktails so I tried a cucumber one that I really enjoyed!

    Da Capo is a staple neighborhood spot on the Upper West Side. The service is exceptional, with a staff that consistently exceeds expectations. The food is always delicious - my favorite is the salmon burger and the kale salad also the crab cakes are amazing! You can also order a pasta dish without breaking the bank…The cocktails are also so good and very creative, my favorite is the Big in Japan. Ive never had a disappointing meal or even experience there. I also appreciate that it transforms from a coffee shop during the day into a vibrant bar and restaurant in the evening. Lastly, it’s also a great way to meet people especially neighbors and I’ve made plenty of friends by going to da capo !

    My friend and I stopped in for a bite last night before a concert at the Beacon. As always, the food was delicious, service was impeccable, and ambience was perfect. Always a great experience at Da Capo. Never disappoints!

    I recently had my engagement party at Da Capo, and I can say with full confidence that I made an excellent choice. I booked two of the spaces they offered: the back room and the lounge, which comfortably fit a little over 40 people.The staff were gracious and accommodating. The food and beverages were delicious—I highly recommend the Arancini balls and their Big In Japan cocktail, both of which were hits at the party. What blew me away was their openness to explore gluten-free options, which was helpful since my family is allergic to gluten.All my guests loved and complimented the space, with some even stating that it was a hidden gem on the UWS. We found it easy to move around and mingle with other guests in a space that felt intimate but was large enough to avoid feeling cramped.I had a great time working with Craig to organize and collaborate on the event. He ensured that I had nothing else to worry about on the day of the engagement. Overall, I happily recommend this place for your strong consideration. My guests and I had a beautiful evening at Da Capo, and Im sure you would too!

    Great bar spot! The bartenders are always incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, offering suggestions for what to drink. There are food options, from share plates to full dinner. The food is alright, but I much prefer coming here just for a drink.

    I absolutely loved Da Capo. The ambiance was so cute, especially the room in the back. Its great for a date night or just to grab a drink with friends. I highly recommend the quattro formaggi flatbread pizza for anyone planning to check this spot out. All-time favorite dish!

    Great find! I wanted to stay in my neighborhood, rather than traipse all over the city for my birthday celebration this year. We had a small group of 9 people. We sat in a separate room in the back of the venue. It was really pretty, nice cool art on the walls, cozy, comfy with perfect lighting and music volume - ahhhhh. The owners just get it - in terms of making you feel like you’re in your own living room but with a real vibe. The menu worked with some great sharing plates, the drinks were very good and the service, patient and prompt. A winner for the neighborhood! Will be back and recommend it!

    My husband and I came here last night with friends and I have to say the atmosphere exceeded my expectations. The customer service was impeccable and the food matched we got salad and pizza, basic items on the menu but they were executed perfectly. I always feel you can truly judge a restaurant on the equality of the most simple menu items. We definitely be going back!

    Hosted a party here for ~20 in the middle room, and the staff were so completely accommodating—offering separate checks for everyone to allow for a more free flowing come and go vibe—without a minimum or rental fee (seemingly impossible to find elsewhere). Also, they allowed us to book the space day-of! The drinks, food, vibe and ambiance were perfect 🎉 highly recommend.

    I never write reviews, but I have to make an exception for Da Capo. Its that special. The coffee and pastries are amazing. (Seriously, Ive looked for a cornetto like this since I went to Italy fifteen years ago; and in fifteen years, Da Capo and Zibetto are the only two places Ive found that do them well--and who wants to go all the way to Midtown for Zibetto?) But the guy behind the bar is what sets this place apart. I dont have a huge budget for eating out, so when I do, its usually treating myself to a nice coffee. The barista is so welcoming and professional that I feel like Ive had a full-service dining experience, even without dropping $100.If youre looking for great coffee, great food, and great service, definitely go with Da Capo--you wont regret it.

    Great ambience for a date or friendly, intimate gathering. Wide range of uniquely named cocktails. Classy decor. Professional and friendly staff.Food was tasty but when paired with all the above it just makes even more of a favorable impression. The depth in terms of how far it goes back allows for a difference of seating but still feels at times as if you have the place all to yourself.Recommended with enthusiasm.

    I’m a bourbon craft cocktail connoisseur. My drink of choice has 3 ingredients, but difficult to get right. Stop by and ask Jay to make a Goldrush with High West Prairie. Not sure how he makes it perfectly blended every time,..obviously a gift.Please note it’s a refreshing bourbon cocktail…the opposite of an old fashion

    Understated café with excellent italian espresso, delightful cakes, a lovely local feeling. Discovered this on one of my walks in the upper west side a few years ago and have been a regular here ever since. I still remember the first time I came here, nestled at the bar to knit with lemon cake and a cortado, overhearing the conversation of a couple of seemingly-regulars chatting with each other and the bartender. The lemon tart is incredibly light and fluffy, not too sweet, unique and probably the best I’ve ever had. Some of my other favorites are the berry cake, cortado, iced mocha, and iced americano. The baristas are also really friendly, no matter how busy the café is. I’ve taken nearly a dozen friends to Da Capo (on separate instances, of course), and definitely want to come back sometime in the evening to try the espresso martini and other cocktails.

    Craig was absolutely fantastic in coordinating a private event. If you are looking for a space for anywhere from 10 to 45 people on the UWS you should absolutely reach out to Da Capo and work with Craig.

    I have never had coffee here, but have been here later at night when it becomes a bar. I ordered a few of their specialty cocktails like the Carribean Roast. It was a fantastic cocktail. There was so much flavor that I had to get a second, the Paper Plane. Its such an out-of-the-way bar that youd never realize, but its really that good.

    I arrived in the neighborhood and was really glad to find this cosy café with excellent coffee and italian pastries (try the torta della nonna!). I came once a week, then twice, now every other day!! One of the only proper cafés in the area (i.e. no take away atmosphere), with a small terrasse to look at the street life and let the time fly.

    This was my 2nd time here, and although the menu has changed in the meantime, the food is just as good as I remember.     Stumbled upon this place after day at Museum of Natural History. It’s great coffee/sandwich spot - desperately needed in the area. They also have cocktails with good whiskey brands as well as intriguing options. Definitely will make a return visit.

    It was heavenly! I had a prosciutto pizza for 20$ and although i think it was kinda small it was worth it because that was the best pizza i had in a long time!! We also had virgin mojitos for 8$ which were really good and amazing panna cotta. The waiters were very kind as well and the restaurant has a very comfortable and kinda cozy atmosphere. I loved it and will be back

    DaCapo is a great addition to the Upper Westside! I had my first matcha latte here , in the afternoon they had awesome paninis , and I tried their Gnocchi , and meatballs ! Such a unique place with a low key vibe.The Cocktails they make is a true art, and they have a full bar with an upscale selection of whiskeys, tequilas, etc. This is now my go to place welcome to the neighborhood DaCapo!

    My husband and I have been here a handful of times, and always had great experiences. Brunch food is delicious with a great selection of vegetarian options, and not overpriced. Staff are always attentive without being over-the-top, and they let us have our dog with us at the outdoor seating which he LOVED! Well definitely continue coming here for brunch, and will have to try other meals too!

    The most versatile, fantastic spot the neighborhood has to offer! Wonderful weekend morning coffee/brunch spot or fantastic for a speakeasy-style night out. Weve lived on the UWS for about 5 years and were over the moon when Da Capo joined the neighborhood. Its now our go-to spot for the most unique cocktails in NYC! The menu is perfectly curated with heart and style! Thanks to the fantastic owner, Craig, we also celebrated here post-engagement in what is now the beautiful Prima Lounge, a can-be private space (as we used it) with great art and even better vibes. Craig and the Da Capo team curated the night to make all of our closest family and friends feel welcome and as if they were celebrating us in a space as special to us as our home! Must haves (other than everything): You Didnt Say Goodbye and Big in Japan.

    I love, love, love LOVE THIS PLACE! Been there at least 5 times! My go to place for an amazing burger in NYC! Food is great, service exceptional! The Da Capo burger is amazing! Brunch is fantastic. I love the vibe, music. Closed on Monday. Will be there again soon. :)

    Came in Thursday night for the oyster special, very cute and perfect date ambience. The bar tender served specialty cocktails and made me a custom mock tail because I do not drink which I appreciated. Was so chill in the back of the bar that we stayed to order food. I was so surprised by the burger, meatballs, and kale salad, best food I had in a long time. Would definitely recommend. 5 out of 5 stars.

    One of the best bars on the UWS, with excellent drinks and servers that make you feel like you’ve been friends for years.The perfect evening: stop by on a Tuesday night for the live music, order the Hauntingly Beautiful cocktail, and snack on the Quattro Formaggi pizza.     One of the best almond milk lattes around. Agree with the other reviewers that espresso pull is on point. So smooth and perfect balance of acidity that sugar or sweetener is not necessary. Mostly a sit down space but worth the wait at the counter for a latte. Friendly staff with good vibes.

    Came at the end of coffee hour(4pm), and they still severed us. Very good coffee. Stayed for drinks while we let our kid nap on the couch. Had drinks and some apps, everything was great, and the place was extremely comfortable and warming. Wed definitely come back! Very friendly staff.

    Im a black coffee drinker, I respect the bean. Da Capo has some good beans and their expresso pulls are on point. Good americanos (a shot or double shot with hot water) which is my default garb-and-go.I dont drink so cant say much about the bar except that it looks rather comprehensive. Good atmosphere, must be a great place to get a drink.Owner Craig is a cool guy. Met him once at the shop and hes good people. I think he had a moped long before they were cool. Scooty.I recommend for the necessary coffee fix where you want something very good at a reasonable NYC price.

    Possibly my favorite spot in the city. Great cocktails, delicious food (love the chef personally), very kind and fun staff! I truly feel like at home and I appreciate places where the owners are around and are humble and gracious towards their clientele. I blindly recommend it for every night of the week. Oh and last but not least, this place has been a rock for me and has made me feel better through tough times that we’ve all had in this city. Love only :)

    Great welcoming, wide selection of Spirits including special Italian Amari and Vermouths. Excellent cocktails!!Great wine list.Great menu for dinner party, snacks or even private events. ( Small Medium or Large ) they have great back room.Very knowledgeable staff.Also, in the morning and early afternoon this great place is a coffeehouse, great cappuccino etc etc.Definitely a place to visit.Soon to come……..Happy Hour !!!!! almost forgot::::::: Very Honest PricesYou have to try it.

    This place is incredible. We came to get some food five minutes before they closed and every other place in the neighborhood closed. Brian let us in for his last Panini and cake. The food was exceptional. Brian was very nice and great to talk to. I am eternally grateful the allowed us to come in and eat. I would highly recommend this cafe.

    Came with friends last night and honestly had the best time. We were all kind of tired when we got there so we had the espresso self cocktail. It was soooooo good and we could not get enough!! Neo (not sure if I spelled his name right) was the bartender there and he was so nice and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves along with his colleague who was our server!     Starving on our way to the Natural Science Museum we stumbled upon this delightful little spot which was like an oasis amidst all the hotels. We had great coffee and proper Italian hot chocolate with Nutella croissants which gave us a very much needed taste of home.     Very nice and accommodating cafe. I will have to go in and try their pastries. However, their wifi signal is very weak.
