    Dear Irving is a 10/10!I came with my wife from Orlando on vacation and met a lovely couple at a pub, who by the way couldn’t stop raving about it. SURE you hear of great places to visit on your vacations from local residents, But THIS is an absolute hidden Gem. As we arrived, we were greeted and sat by Naomi in a beautiful table for 2. Normally I don’t remember names but for the level of service, I had no choice! Tia our server for the night, recommended cocktails which vast from Irish, Scottish, and Japanese. I was enthralled by the fact that not only was the staff so pleasant but I had such an array of options for drinks. Even the manager Chris made sure not only if our table was ok, but every table at the establishment as well. Perfect date spot. Whenever I’m in town Dear Irving will always be on the list of places to visit.

So def not very “instagrammable” spot if that’s what you look for. There is a cool extra room with a 1920’s theme in the backDrinks 7/10To my surprise, the drinks on the menu didn’t look appealing. No vodka based drinks. But you can order a custom drink by describing your preference. Our cocktails were great. However - I wouldn’t know how to recommend or reorderService 10/10I love the concept that there is a service button, which you push when you need help.     Cool setting and vibes and an extensive cocktail menu. I really loved the rum and papaya drink, was well balanced and was quite a big portion. Got in with 5 people with no wait at around 5:30on a Wednesday.

    Cozy bar with solid cocktails and good food. There are lots of tables for small groups that are intimate and cozy and then a decent size bar.Cocktails were great, the menu has a lot of interesting concoctions but they bartenders also served the classics. They also have a small food menu- the sliders hit the spot after an afternoon turned evening of lots of drinking!On a Friday night it appeared fairly easy to walk in with a small group, but if more than 2-3 it looked like you needed a reservation.

    Gorgeous space and friendly, professional staff. The host was perfect and our server was attentive and very accommodating! Didn’t manage to catch her name but one of her fav cocktails is the Whiskey Business (a must-try). Speakeasies rarely hit the mark on both ambiance and service but this one is 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you making our birthday evening so memorable!

    Great cocktails! Everything we tried on the menu was delicious, the drinks are a little pricey but it’s definitely worth checking out. They usually have a wait on peak nights so we went on a Wednesday afternoon and sat right away.

    Great bar. Had the opportunity to finally visit on Sunday when it wasn’t to busy. The drinks are great. The food menu looked decent as well. The only negative thing to say is the service was a little slow. The waiter did make great recommendations though.

    The bartenders are friendly, helpful and make amazing personalized drinks(if you ask nicely). Every time I come here I get treated with the upmost respect. I’ve come here on dates, I’ve brought friends here, I’ve even come alone. It’s a wonderful, sexy little bar. Highly recommend.

    Excellent, excellent experience, ambiance, and customer service! I took my girlfriend here with two other people for her birthday and had an incredible time. Not only did management accommodate our reservation, they also placed us in the back private room which is beautifully decorated and also provided us with complimentary birthday cocktails. If your looking for a new and fun experience you MUST go here. The cocktails are nothing short of works of art. I will definitely be coming back as well as tell family and friends to come here too! 10/10 Stars.

    Very chic place with a nice speak-easy atmosphere. If you are taking your lady out for cocktails, then this establishment will fit the bill. Purplish/pink backlit beads separate sections, convenient buzzers on the wall for service requests, and a tame aura overall.

    LOVE THIS SPOT! I hadn’t heard much about this place before going but I would definitely recommend checking it out. Tip: make a reservation ahead of time to get a great spot at a table. We sat at the bar and also enjoyed watching the bartenders craft the cocktails. Great array of spirits present on the cocktail list and bartenders do a great job of providing their own recommendations. Will definitely return!

    Silly/extravagant decor, but a really fun place to go with a date or friends. The drinks are good, the volume level is low enough that you can have conversations, but the atmosphere is lively enough that it doesnt feel dead. For me, its the perfect place to get one after drink cocktail with a friend/friends in a civilized environment.

    Creative cocktails and exotic liquor, at least exotic to a person that knows very little about liquor. The bartenders are very knowledgable about everything they serve and quite passionate. They take special request and concoct drinks on the spot. Always a great conversation happening anywhere you look. Music is okay, havent tried the food yet and the decor is very cute(kinda old time fancy). This bar is in walking distance to Union Square but still a bit hard to find at night which I like because its discreet and not in your face. I also saw that they do events for companies and the last one looked lit.

    I love the place. Cocktails are great. My favorite is the whiskey business. The small plates are very original and the lobster roll is to die for. And the cherry on the cake is the decor. The location was completely renovated before the place opened (it was an old Italian restaurant before) and each section of the speakeasy is decorated after a different era (60’s, 30’s, Victorian and French Renaissance). Gives you a feeling of travelling through time as you pass through the rooms. ;-)

    Really solid cocktails at a beautiful space with a time-travel theme. Each section looks great - especially the very back. The only problem here is its very difficult to get reservations, which you basically need if you want a table. Sometimes you can get seated at the bar without reservations, though.

The dimmed lighting creates a classy and dreamy atmosphere, reminiscent of the iconic scenes in Mad Men. Its an ideal spot for romantic date nights, as the absence of loud music allows for intimate conversations without the need to raise your voice. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and Im looking forward to visiting again in the future.

    My gf and I came here for the first time on a Saturday night. It was around 1am. Our uber dropped us off in front and we proceeded to go in. The host told us there would be a 20 min wait. We werent in a rush so we decided to put our names on the waiting list. As soon as we went back outside to wait, no more than 3 minutes, the host came out and told us they had a table ready for us. We sat down and were greeted by our server. We looked at the drink menu and got a couple of drinks. They were so damn good. I cant remember what we each drank but they were great. I loved the interior of the bar and the ambiance. Its a sexy place. I would recommend it to everyone looking for a chill, sexy, elegant, place to grab a drink.

    Great innovative cocktails in an interesting space. The bar is divided into different areas each with a different vibe. Service is called via a bell system. If you are interested in the craft go during off hours like Sunday evening and sit at the bar. If you are lucky they will be working on new recipes. They have always been open to discussing what they are excited about and working on at the moment.

    Loved it. We are a Hollywood Smile Photo Booth rentals and spent a beautiful evening at the wedding party last night at this place. Photo Booth was a fun addition to the party as it always is.

    Super chic and swanky! I felt soo sexy in like an old money kind of way haha! I love this place I didnt want to leave. The second I sat down with my date in a big comfy arm chair someone brought me over a glass of water. After pressing the cool button to have a waitress come over, I was still undecided about which drink I wanted but the waitress was soo knowledgeable about the intricacies of all of the drinks she helped me pick the perfect one! This place is great for dates very sexy and romantic. Highly recommended.

    Personal, and safe experience with knowledgeable staff. Went with the bartender recommendation and couldnt go wrong. Everyone is polite regardless of the pandemic. What else can you ask for. Will be back next week to experience more of what they can offer

    A favorite New York haunt: like Raines Law Room (created by the same team), Dear Irving is an elegant but unfussy guaranteed good-night-out. Its a great place to go with a friend or a group of friends, quiet enough to talk.     I walked by the place twice because I didnt pay attention to the address and thought it was the entrance into an apartment building. This was my first time here and I LOVED it.     Such a lovely experience!A classy and luxurious cocktail bar that hits all the right vibes. Think dimmed lighting, mod decor in the front and gets more victorian as you progress. Velvet upholstery, dark wooden floors, easy listening pop/smooth music, and overall fancy.I ordered the Marie Antoinette which was delicious, not too sweet, and a hint of cocoa which tones down the fruitiness.The second round I got the Coast Call which was also a tad sweeter and with more of a fruity taste to it.My friend liked her 1st round which is the white drink- it tasted like a fancy pina colada and her 2nd round she ordered the poppy collins I believe, but did not enjoy it as much as she said it was too strong.Overall amazing vibes, stellar service with buttons to call the waiters to your table (vintage!) and would definitely recommend for a date night.

    I know they’re trying to transport you to “another time,” but honestly, you get service by pressing a button—just like paging a nurse at a hospital.Now maybe I’m biased because I’ve been spending a LOT of time in hospitals lately, but I just could not get over the fact that every time we needed something, it felt like I was calling for a nurse. It really reminded me of illness and medicine and doctors and you know that hospital smell?I was worried that the menu would have jello or pudding or another hospital food, but thankfully it didn’t. The drinks are really good and the servers are nice and the atmosphere mostly feels different from a hospital, so 5 stars. But just know I’m thinking about hospitals all the time I’m there.

    What an amazing cocktail bar! We arrived sans reservations right when they opened, and they were able to accommodate us for two hours until the party who did make a reservation was to arrive. They were going to put us at a table, but we opted for bar where we had three drinks. The bartenders are incredibly nice, attentive, and have a deep understanding of the menu. It was really cool to watch them in action making the drinks. They have a small food menu, but we did not eat. What a delight. Definitely will be back.
