If you fancy tasting some experimental cocktails then this is the spot. Their food was also delicious. Try the shrimp and the mushroom on a skewer. Their smoky grilled olives were amazing. And cocktails, well, you won’t be disappointed. Do ask waiters - they know the menu and can recommend a perfect glass of fuse for you.

Came here for drinks to celebrate my 25th birthday and had an amazing experience! Atmosphere and decor is gorgeous. Staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Our server was great at describing the drinks and recommending which ones we would like. All drinks were fabulous, some of the best cocktails I have had in nyc lately. Would highly recommend!

The best cocktail bar! First off I love the Speak Easy vibes like you arrive to the location and your like “where is it!?” Because all you see is the Wine Bar ‘La Compagnie’ and then they escort you downstairs it’s like a whole different world like a portal. The staff are amazing! Love you all @Experimental see you soon!

I stopped by Experimental Cocktail Club on a Tuesday night at 8:45 for a date, and was blown away. First off, I had to make the reservation through Resy about five days in advance, and there was nothing in peak time (e.g., between 6-8 PM), so I had to go for the later time slot.It is through a non-descript door on 24th, and you descend a staircase to get into the bar. It was dimly lit, with a red velvet vibe which was super loungey and cool. I really liked the vibe of the place. All the tables were full, so it was buzzing, but it wasnt too loud, so it was easy to carry on a conversation. I think the ambiance was the best part of the place. The server was very friendly, explaining the menu and chatting with us about the place. The cocktail menu was okay, nothing too inspiring on there, and the one horchata tequila cocktail I had come to get had run out by the time I got there. I ended up getting my classic order - extra dirty gin martini with Hendricks, but it was not very well made. Only 2.5/5 stars since they used too much vermouth and not enough olive juice.I really liked ECC, and I would definitely go back. I think it would be fun to grab small plates and a few cocktails here. The vibe is incredible here.

Coolest new speakeasy style spot in Manahattan. Located under their wine bar, Compagnie, this spot is super chill with a horseshoe bar in the middle. Mirrored ceiling, carpets, cozy booths, low lights, piano with live music some nights and DJ on others.Great date spot or just a spot to chill.

Cool 70s French vibe. Food was incredible. Drinks were great, though a small menu. Bartender (Nathalie) were amazing to watch.

Incredible, classic bartender service in a great atmosphere and cool, hidden speakeasy in the Flatiron district. Highly recommend.

A new, hidden gem in Flatiron! This place has everything Im looking for in an NYC speakeasy style bar- great cocktails, friendly staff, and live music. They often host vinyl DJs, but I happen to be there on Wednesday night for an interactive live piano cabaret. Cant wait to go back!

My fiancé and I stumbled on this speakeasy last night. We initially got one seat at the bar and met with the bartender who made me the best drink I’ve ever had before called “Milk Money”. She was so sweet and kind. She made our drinks so delicious. Once a seating opened up, they made sure we got a spot. We had such a great night. The food was great and all of our drinks. My fiancé loved all of his drinks, but I cannot get over Milk Money. Thank you for the wonderful experience, service, vibe, and intimate setting. Would highly recommend this speakeasy!

We came on a Thursday night late in the evening. Fortunately, we had a reservation. When the entrance door was opened, the first question to the crowd of 10+ people waiting was Do you have a reservation? The 6 who did not, did not get in.Upon entering, we saw a beautifully decorated space. Seating was tight but that is to be expected almost everywhere in NYC. We were lucky to get a very romantic corner table. Loved it!We had some food which was delicious! The drinks were exceptional! Upon asking the server about gin selection for my martini, one of the bar tenders came over and had a 10 minute discussion on various choices. I learned more about gins that I was not aware of and you cannot get at many other places! It was great. When two bar seats opened, we were invited to sit at the bar to continue the conversation but we loved the cozy corner seats we had so we stayed.I text many people that night highly recommending this place but told them to have a reservation. This is clearly one of our favorite spots in NYC.

Such a cool spot! I was a bit nervous because you walk through the restaurant on the first floor and go downstairs into a basement, but it’s got such a speakeasy vibe down there. The drinks were so delicious as well as their small plates.I’ll definitely be coming back here with friends.

    Lovely atmosphere and drinks

  • Review 26 (2025-01-06 - Rating: 5)

We recently visited this cocktail bar and had a mixed experience. While the atmosphere and music didn’t quite meet our expectations—the music was too loud and the selection wasn’t the best—the cocktails definitely made up for it.We tried several cocktails, and the standout ones were the Croissant Champagne and Milk Money. Both were incredibly unique and absolutely delicious. The rest of the cocktails we sampled were also great, showcasing creativity and quality in every drink. The servers were okay, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of service. Despite the atmosphere not being ideal, we still highly recommend visiting for the cocktails alone—they’re truly worth it.Just a heads up, it’s best to make a reservation beforehand. If you can’t get a spot, the wine bar upstairs is a great alternative as it’s part of the same restaurant.

I went to this bar with my wife and we were welcomed into a cozy and very familiar atmosphere by very kind staff, we drank excellent cocktails, only having a little difficulty choosing because we didnt know the ingredients we read on the menu. Very positive experience.
