Fathers Study is, in my opinion, not getting the recognition that it deserves. If you need a place that delivers on drinks, vibe and price then this is IT.We came to & SON/ Fathers Study after my husband and I eloped to the clerks office. We wanted a place that felt sophisticated and chic where we can just have a good time.Once we got upstairs to the speakeasy it was just us and Ben the bartender. We went with our sibling (5 of us total) and we had a ball of a time up there. Ben had us smiling and laughing while whipping up some of the most amazing drinks. We thank the & Son/ Fathers Study family for playing such a huge part of our special day! It would not have been as magical and stress-free without them! We cant wait to come back! -

The atmosphere is so nice!! Feels like you’re in someone’s house. The drinks are also phenomenal. -

Maybe one of my favorite cocktail bars by aesthetic, Father’s Study is true to its name. We sat at a poker table in a room that felt like an old time movie, and for that reason alone, I will be coming back again and again. ALSO, all of their liquors are New York based, which I find appealing, especially considering how positively the staff talked about the distilleries and wineries that they sourced from. -

This is a cute little speakeasy on top of a restaurant. This place is right across 9th street path station and cocktails are really good. -

We had a wonderful time visiting a speakeasy recently. My review is only for the cocktail experience, as we went there after dinner. We made a reservation on Resy and were escorted by the host of the steakhouse to a table upstairs. The speakeasy concept was spot on, with a very cool menu. We chose to sit in the library section, next to the bar, for a more intimate experience. We arrived just before the service was winding down, but the bartender/server was very attentive. -

Super vibey spot with a delicious cold brew martini. Tiny little bar - definitely recommend making a reservation on a weekend. -

Very intimate small space, beautiful bar and decor. Nice drinks for a small group or a date pre dinner -

Atmosphere and service are top notch - beyond expectations. The food is ok. Steaks not optimal. Wine list is quite limited. I would be happy to consult to help you improve this because you have such a great space and staff already. It lacks that final touch of class that comes with excellent food and wine. If you change this, let me know, I would gladly host more events in your space! -

Good drinks, vibe, and decor. Not sure what’s up with the menu though. Most menu drinks are gin and whiskey and there’s one primary brand for each. Staff is really nice, drinks are very good. Just curious about the limited inventory for a cocktail bar. -

Didn’t know anything about this part of the space. Was asked if we would like to go upstairs to Fathers Study by our server after we finished our dinner and it is the coolest “speakeasy” bar I’ve been to! Service was great and cocktails rivals any of the “best cocktail bars in NYC”. Will be back often, even when not having dinner downstairs! -

Before heading of to listen to some jazz, we stopped here for a drink after having dinner at &Son. The drinks were fantastic and the hidden gem of a bar room was fantastic. -
