    This was the only open place!!! This area is a desert when the office crowd is gone, but we really wanted to stop somewhere on a chilly evening. Glad we saw it behind the scaffolding.Owner and his employee chatted with us, made us feel like friends. Best of luck. I really hope you do well. I highly recommend this place. Well be back.We didnt order food.

First time.Ordered: Flat White, French 75Payed: $24 + TipBartender/barista was relatively nice, drink and coffee were tasty and he followed my request that the flat white not be too hot very well. It was mostly empty at the time I went, but the place is nice looking. Small, though - looks more like a quick after-work place (for rich people) than a place to come hang out. They do serve food and pastries, but I didn’t try any. Would definitely return.

    This is a nice spot to grab a drink after work with a homey vibe. If you show up early, you can even start with a coffee or tea and then switch to their cocktails. I recommend showing up before 6 p.m. so you can take advantage of happy hour. The spot also has a good cocktail selection. I personally enjoyed the gin cocktails. They also have wifi and I noticed someone was working in the corner when I arrived.

    I have been coming to Five & Dime since they first opened. This is one of the best kept secrets downtown. They host live music and fun events, serve GREAT coffee, and have a bar of some of the best crafted cocktails around. The service is great and it is super convenient.

    We wanted to surprise our friend for her birthday here, and Jeff went over and beyond to help us make it happen. He reserved a table for us and checked in with us throughout the night. He even asked the opera singer to sing to our friend. The drinks were so delicious (and strong!) highly recommend this place. The interior gives a fabulous Art Deco feeling.

    Stop by Five & Dime for an afternoon tea/coffee and get your dose of zen in an urban oasis (Earl Grey tea is delicious). Or try one of their wonderful cocktails. Soft music, vaulted ceilings, iconic NYC decor, dimmed lights, and friendly stuff make it perfect for any social occasion or a work getaway spot. A rare find. Just lovely!

    Finally they are open on the weekends so I finally got to try this place thats been on my want to go list! Lovely cafe situation in the well known Woolworth building that had a classic old NYC vibe. The beanless (atomo) oat milk latte was amazing. Apparently they are one of the only three cafes in the East Coast that carries this cool super food/up- cycled coffee. The barista was friendly. Looking forward to coming back to try more items on the menu.

    Great cafe during the day and bar in the evening near City Hall and WTC/Freedom Tower. The space isnt huge but rarely feels crowded, and the staff is great and works fast. Highly recommend the happy hour Old Fashioned! Tip: happy hour runs all night on Thursdays.

    Never seen a place turn from a cocktail bar at night to a coffee shop during the day. Cool spot with some nice tea and coffee. The banana bread was dry but don’t think they make it there anyway. It is a cool shop and wasn’t too busy when we came. Will go back.

    Had an unexpectedly fun time here. Stopped in to meet friends for a cocktail/coffee after work because of its convenient location, stumbled upon live opera (!) and really lovely drinks. Staff was super welcoming and apologetic for the slow service (it was pretty packed when I was ordering drinks). Great addition to the neighborhood which tends to not have a lot of options and fantastic place if not everyone in your group wants something alcoholic. Definitely recommend.

Now the cultural and concert map of New York has been replenished with another modern and conceptually well-equipped venue. Five & Dime Coffee & Cocktails bar is located in one of the most historic places in New York, The Woolworth Tower. The COCKTAIL «DJ & DIVA» party that took place this Saturday was an unforgettable meeting. Eevahn & Ksenia took care of the exquisite author’s design of the decor elements of the bar. A separate compliment for the design of interior details and table lamps. For me, there was a feeling of the atmosphere of the salons of Paris and New York in the 1950s, the atmosphere was complemented by the background screening of the movie “Some Like It Hot”.It was truly a «great discovery»: in honor of the start of the parties in a new format, on the stage of Five & Dime performed for friends & family, it is DJ set and opera music into the oldest skyscraper in the world.Warm atmosphere and friendly relations between guests in the private atmosphere of the bar, and none of the guests were deprived of attention from the owners party Eevahn & Ksenia. The guests were also accompanied by a photo session from a professional photographer throughout the evening.The first highlight of the program was the opening music set from DJ Guevara. His magnificent musical gift immersed all the guests in the atmosphere of the celebrity party.However, the main attention of the audience was focused on the performance of Adriana, the owner of a unique voice opera singer, who performed in a duet with DJ Guevara for the first time. Most of the bloggers and secular critics of New York were among the guests of the evening.Judging by the openings bright, loud, and famous guests, COCKTAIL “DJ & DIVA” in Five & Dime Coffee & Cocktails, a wonderful and loud future awaits! And his guests — a lot of beautiful music and parties!

    Absolutely amazing space. It truly takes your breath away. You can tell the owner put their heart and soul into making this an awesome space. It feels cozy and huge at the same time. The 1920s feel made me feel classy, which was a nice treat. I have yet to try their coffee, but the cocktails are out of this world. Each bartender is knowledgeable and helpful. They also have this sense of being - like they are exactly where they want to be. I think that is a true rarity in NYC. I highly recommend the Lex in the City.

    Note: I’m reviewing Five & Dime as a cafe because I went there during the day.I wanted a nice neighborhood cafe with good coffee and Five & Dime delivered. Most guests sit around the bar and chat or read with an easy morning energy. There are also plenty of seats in the cafe itself. They have free WiFi, outlets, good coffee, and great pumpkin bread.Five & Dime’s traditional cafe feel truly I special (especially in this part of town). Enjoy the beauty of the place if you go.

    The best coffee cocktail lounge in town. Very friendly baristas/bartenders. Very chill atmosphere with a 1920s vibe. It may look a bit intimidating from the outside, but this place welcomes everyone including children. Cocktails, hot/iced coffee, apple cider, hot chocolate, you name it, they have it!

    This place is pretty unique as far as coffee shops go. The coffee is of course- amazing, but the atmosphere is what makes it special. It’s a classy 1920’s vibe with bright red coffee cups and shiny chrome and marble finishes. The bar is also pretty great, good selection of drinks. Fred makes the best latte I’ve ever had.Beware it’s card only. They won’t take cash.

    Super cute and cozy atmosphere, large vaulted arched cielings which give it a gorgeous feeling and view. Girls at the front were very nice, they are asking for vaccination proof for indoor coffee and pastry eating but are patient while you look up info/picture. Delicious pastry - everything croissant was amazing and everything Id ever wanted. Must try!

    Wonderful, classy - but not stuffy - afterwork venue to meet with one or two pals.The one drawback being a tendency to noisiness owing to marble surfaces. Excellent cocktails! Havent tried coffee or wine yet though.

    Went next door to pick up my order in Just Salad and noticed “Coffee & Cocktail” in the glass window and it’s right in the Woolworth Building. Sold. Felt like you went back in time and speakeasy feel, I ordered dirty chai right off my head for some reason, friendly barista and took my temperature after I said I wanted to sit down for a bit. It was such a nice coffee break, coming back here for many foreseeable days as long as it’s not closed.

    Love this place! Perfectly retro cocktails in an art deco atmosphere. The attention to detail that they took in restoring this Woolworth space is really impressive. Definitely check this place out -- come in the evening for the vintage vibe and well-crafted cocktails, and then come back the next morning for the perfect hangover coffee!

    Their Lavender Lemonade is amazing! I originally came in for an iced tea but the barista recommended it and now Im in love. The look of the place is very antique modern with gold trim and accents. Id say it would be a great place for a date or maybe to work on my laptop. It has a vibe that is very calming and the music was chill too, not traditional boring cafe music.

    I really love this place and its right off the park place subway stop. Its a great place to sit and have a coffee during the day and then eventually have drinks at night. They also have live music some nights so be sure you check their website. The staff here is really nice and friendly. Its definitely a breath of fresh air.     I walked out from my naturalization Path ceremony and marvelled at the impressive court buildings. Familiar with their facards from films and TV programs like Law and order .I stumbled on Five and Some coffee at the bottom of the famous Woolworth building. They had no kitchen onsite, they have a delivery relationship with a pizza place. Pizza, what could be more appropriate for my first meal as an American citizen?! I ordered Pizza, Bourbon and a ginger ale. I memorable, very happy moment.

    Love this place! Its like walking into a piece of history. Coffee is very good. Ive never had drinks there but when I walk by at happy hour it always seems to be full of young people having an excellent time. Whether youre a local in search of a coffee spot thats a little off the beaten path or a tourist in our neighborhood to see Ground Zero, City Hall, South Street Seaport, the Woolworth Building, etc. (btw this place is practically IN the Woolworth Building), I highly recommend Five & Dime.

    One of my favorite bars in the FiDi area. Has a very elegant feel to it with a cool 1920s feel, even if it is a little on the small side. Drink specials for happy hour are diverse and pretty top notch for a respectable price, especially considering its Manhattan. The bartender was great and very accommodating. I recommend their old fashion, not only is it delicious but happens to be a happy hour special on occasion.

    OMG! Come here on Wednesday nights!!! It was the most unique bar experience I have ever had. 3 amazing opera singers were serenading us with their voices. They are there Wednesday nights. Thank you so much. This was the highlight of my trip to NYC.

    Came in town from NC and found this spot on way to World Trade Memorial. Amazing ambiance, great service and morning cocktails were on point and fairly priced. As a tourist, we also enjoyed walking around the Woolworth Building and taking in the beauty of the artistry.

    Great as both a coffee shop and a cocktail bar. Outlets and fast WiFi. Really excellent coffee. Equally great craft cocktails. My only quibble is that they really switch over, and rather early, IMHO. The lights go super dim around 4, sometimes as early as 3. Not great for coffee & work later in the afternoon.

    Great coffee and incredible drink menu with an amazing happy hour (specifically the Prosecco). I was a frequent customer at Five & Dime prior to the pandemic, and am an even bigger fan now. They have a great set up outside the Woolworth building to social distance. They’ve always had an array of pastries and are now offering gourmet pizza and other appetizers (mozzarella sticks are delicious). The baristas and bartenders are also great people, super friendly and accommodating. If you live or work near World Trade or in Tribeca this is a go to spot.
