This is one of the best cocktail bars Ive been to anywhere (and Ive been to a lot, especially on the West Coast!). Great atmosphere. I got the Nighthawk - at first I was a bit skeptical of putting so many different spirits in one drink but it was fantastic, super smooth (definitely a good pick for bourbon lovers). The eggnog was also the best Ive probably ever tasted - smooth and delicious.

Hands down one of my favorite speakeasy’s. The vibes are immaculate, true speak easy decor and energy. When we went they have a live jazz band which was a great touch. The cocktails were very good and came out in cute aesthetics. We did try the meatballs which were not that good. Our server was super friendly and attentive but not over bearing. Really enjoyed the whole concept and atmosphere.

What a magical find hidden beneath the streets! If you want a fancy night out with tiny delicious bites and incredible cocktails in a fantastically unique atmosphere, this is your spot. Incredible speakeasy. The drinks were all unique, NY-themed, and delicious! There was a live jazz band and an amazing singer. The aesthetic is intimate and warm. All the decorations were on-point and cozy especially for the holidays coming up! Plenty of space and seating. Great date night or hangout spot!!

A wonderful hidden gem in midtown, a classic speakeasy with a decent cocktail list, 2 mountain options and also great apps. The grilled shrimps with Asian sauce were amazing. To Randy was my favorite cocktail, not very sweet and perfectly balanced with a nice twist. There is plenty of space at the bar and in the table seating area, decor is sultry and sexy and the crowd is casually cool. You better make a reservation and it is limited fo 90 min per table.

Madame George is a swanky cocktail bar with an amazing atmosphere. The cocktails are perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right. We had the Japanese cocktail and the As If, both of which were exceptional.For food, we tried the Mulberry Street Meatballs, Houston Street Pastrami, Mott Street Bang Bang Shrimp, and Union Square Market Crudité, and each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully elevated.The only downside was the dessert, which fell short compared to the rest of the meal, but hopefully, they’ll improve it in the future. The seating in cozy armchairs and the thoughtful decor made the whole experience even more enjoyable.Ill definitely come back.

First time coming and now it’s probably one of my top 3 bars in the city. It’s a speakeasy next door to Valerie. You got to go back outside to get in- the doors on the outside will be locked and the hostess has to open the door for you.Inside down the flight of stairs they have live jazz on sat night which was really nice. Came here with my friends and the drinks were well made and strong. Definitely would be very nice as a date spot as well. Beautiful interior and design- will be back!!

This may be one of my favorite speakeasys in the city. The seats are comfy and the vibe is moody and great for a date or catch up with friends. They do have live music (at least on the Friday we went) but even before the live music the playlist was good. The drinks are kind of pricey but on par for midtown. Their version of old fashioned was delicious but quite strong. Service was attentive and helpful - took the time to give us some recommendations for drink based on our preferences.

HUSH! This Midtown Speakeasy is SO good it almost makes you feel like it’s illegal. The mood is dark, candlelit, refined, upscale and sexy. The music and vibe…sultry. A great spot to impress a date, especially New Yorkers as the Cocktail menu nods respectfully to our beloved city. The cocktails are extremely well executed. Strength is perfect and does not overpower the ingredients. The Pickpocket, Penicillin, Saturday Night Fever and of course Manhattans were divine. The service was on point and even willing to go off menu and deliver a Barr Hill Bees Knees that was out of this world. The secret’s out….If you are looking to rendezvous then Madame George is your joint.

Had a citrusy cocktail from the Coney Island section of the menu. The bartender suggested it before I could even browse the menu and being from Coney Island, it was a no-brainer. It was no coincidence for my night to unexpectedly wrap up here with a drink from my side of town.

Each of us tried different cocktails, but the standout for me was the Umami Sour—it had an addictive flavor that left me wanting more. The warm, inviting atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy good food and even better company. If youre ever there, make sure to try the Umami Sour. I can’t wait to return!

LOVE Madame George. Such a hidden gem & a great cocktail bar in Midtown Manhattan. The interior is gorgeous & so comfortable. Hip hop music vibes with a New York City themed cocktail menu. Ashley was our server, she was so nice and helpful, walked us through the whole menu which was super helpful because they have so many cocktails to choose from. Our server also told us that they have live music on the weekends so we will definitely be back! Highly recommend for a special night out in New York!

Pictures dont do it justice. Lovely hidden gem, huge on the inside compared to most other spots in NYC. You get walked down into the basement and through a pair of doors that lead you to a beautiful velvet jazzy bar. I especially loved the scent they were diffusing. Wow. We just happened to randomly book a reservation at madam Georges and its quite surprising that this place isnt always filled to capacity. The ambiance is delightful, the beverages are exceptional, and the overall atmosphere exudes a distinct speakeasy charm. The dim, moody lighting adds to the allure, and the live music on Fridays and Saturdays elevates the experience even further. While the prices of the drinks may be considered high, the craftsmanship and taste justify the premium. The Manhattan Avenue, a unique twist on an espresso martini featuring bourbon, and the Penicillin were particularly noteworthy. If you seek a place to unwind, enjoy a date, or simply immerse yourself in the ambiance of great cocktails and music, this establishment is highly recommended. I have a feeling that it will soon gain widespread popularity, so take advantage of its current hidden gem status.

A wonderlust of an experience nestled in a Midtown location. Quiet, intimate, and dimly lit, but filled with so much energy. This place is sexy! Great for a girls night out or a date night to impress. Theres a small reception in the lobby that escorts you to a mysterious elevator that opens up to a wonderful surprise. Ample seating and quaint nooks. Theres a great size bar to the far right. The cocktail menus do wow you and suit the ambiance, high class and high quality. The live music is reminiscent of a time long ago as it takes you there along with the swanky decor. I had a cocktail served in a fine tea cup with fresh mint.

This was a last minute find, following a concert at Radio City. It was the perfect quiet spot to enjoy a date night with the wife. Reservations recommended but we walked in and managed to secure a table. The decor felt like a mix of old world meets Alice and the Wonderland (Tim B’s version). The food menu was small and blah, but expected. Cocktails were interestingly themed and delicious. Oh, almost forgot to mention the live Jazz. This gave it the extra star and well worth the visit.

Finn does it all with ease and has me writing notes. The food plates are also great and the atmosphere is amazing too! I’d give them six stars if I could. The drinks were both interesting and well executed, the space is gorgeous, and our bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Most places a drink in a teacup involving chartreuse and mint chocolate chip ice cream would be a stunt. At Madame George’s it was so good we wanted another one. Special shout out to Chris from Atlanta for being a bartender who clearly loves people and his craft! And the same metal band as my friend, which we were not expecting!

Wow. I’ve been to a lot of cocktail bars over a lot of years. This is legendary. Just amazing in selection, uniqueness, atmosphere. Just wow.

This might be my new favorite cocktail bar in the neighborhood. Everything is impeccable - from the cocktails, to the ambiance, to the food. This place does not miss. Its a really cozy & intimate spot - you should definitely try to get seated in the library area if you can - it gives Amserdam red light district vibesThe staff is all very helpful & knowledgeable. The drinks are ammmmazing - Im a fan of their cocktail punches served in antique tea cups as well as their Lookin at Luna Park which was described as a clarified Miami Vice. YUM. It definitely gets busy on the weekends, so be sure to make a rest

Cant say enough about Madame George. One of the best speakeasys near me! They absolutely nailed the cocktail list, expansive New York themed menu with great tapas. We were lucky enough to go on a night they had live music which was so cool. The staff was so knowledgeable and welcoming they helped me find the perfect drink. Décor was on point, felt like I was in a different era and all the themed rooms were so well done. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend!!!

How is this place not packed night after night? After a show, we tried to go to the bar upstairs and were ushered to Madame George instead. What they knocked out of the park is the ambience - it’s an entire subterranean floor wrapped in soft lighting, velvety corners and gorgeous design details like a library enclave you can dine in.The live jazz band was the cherry on top and service was impeccable. The drinks and food are solid but nothing to write home about. Portions are a bit small so don’t plan to have your full dinner here unless you plan to ball out. The cocktail menu is designed beautifully with nods to NYC’s history and they have a great Mocktail selection. This is truly the epitome of a hidden gem.

Great place to go for after dinner drinks. A reservation is recommended. We didnt have one and had to wait for about 20-30 minutes for a table. They did have a live band when we were there.

A hidden gem in the crazy city of NY. It is a large space with an intimate feel to it, perfect for a date night. The drinks were fun and unique and represented the city well. We sat at the bar and the bartender Chris made the experience 100x better! We cannot wait to go back!
