What a fortune I had. Just walking in the street, looking at my girlfriend and asking her to grab a drink in a nice bar, and realizing we were just in front of this place! We had 2 fantastic cocktails, (pineapple daiquiri, and pisco sour) we wanted to share also some food but we were already full for the night. We DEFINITELY will be back. But for you guys to enjoy!

I volunteered at the animal shelter directly across from South Soho Bar and never realized such a quaint cocktail bar was in my midst. The decor hearkens back to the glory days of 1920s speakeasies but with a more exotic flair, like maybe a speakeasy in Havana. It doesnt feel like theyre trying as hard for the vibes as other speakeasies.We got bespoke drinks, one with a tropical and fruity theme, and one with a spicy theme. Both drinks came out delicious and on-point. The Fries and Chicken Nuggets were also crisp and satisfying. All in all, a hidden gem in an otherwise dingy, forgettable part of NYC (except for that animal shelter!).

SoSo made the BEST martini in NYC... and I dont say that lightly! I had a classic dirty vodka martini and it was perfectly smooth. A friend of mine ordered an Elderflower martini and had the same praise! The space is intimate and colorful; and yes, the staff actually uses the ladder to grab liquor. This cocktail bar is a great addition to the area - perfect for a pre or post-dinner bev. I cant wait to return and try the food next!

Love this place. The drinks, the staff, the ambience, all on point. If you want the best Gibson in town, this is your spot! Or, if you want to explore classic cocktails, the bartenders are very knowledgeable and excited to guide you. Also, we had the oysters and steak, I could drink the steak sauce, all SO GOOD!

My girlfriend and I had some very good gin martinis prepared by the friendly and professional staff. The vibes were great and we loved the decor. However, the oysters come pre-dressed in a sweet and jammy mignonette and are somewhat outrageously expensive? In a departure with a few hundred years of the standard serving size, the oyster prices are misleadingly listed on the menu board by the half dozen rather than by the dozen, so we were a little surprised to pay $56 for a dozen when the check came. It felt a little like trickery, which needless to say, isn’t a great hospitality practice. Buyer beware, or even better, the owners should just change how they’re listed so customers know what they’re getting. It

We were staying nearby during our 8-day NYC trip and discovered South Soho Bar one evening. We loved the atmosphere, staff and cocktails. Hello cocktail perfection! Their menu is classic cocktials and boy do that nail them all. Best old fashioned I’ve ever had! I stopped ordering them bc so many places do the most or add too much simple syrup. This is a straight foreword perfect old fashioned! I sampled everyone else’s cocktials and was not disappointed in the least. If anything it just made me have FOMO. Fantastic liquor collection. GREAT BAR!! Drinks are great and the prices are decent! My friend I spent about $55 each on three shots and two cocktails, which honestly seems like a great deal especially for nyc! The bartenders were so friendly and the one who was serving my friend and I was so fun and great to be around! The ambiance is really chill so it’s a great place to enjoy time with friends without a crowd! Will definitely come back the next time I’m in NYC!

As a recovering New Yorker, I did my best to keep this place a secret. However, this hospitality group and their employees are too damn good at their job.Their cocktails are great while reasonably priced. The bar food is essential after savoring said cocktails and their service is impeccable, even at scale. Freddie and Hugo will always make you feel at home. If you ask them to make an M&M, they will likely drink one with you.But please, ignore my review. I want this bar all to myself :) .

I love this bar. Hugo, Laury, Britt - legit the best. One of the few sexy, elevated bars in NY, I stumble in and I know that all I need to say Im thirsty and hungry and they nod their head as if to say we got you and before you know it your making new besties and forgetting all your cares.
