    Views and ambience were great. lovely sunset views! can get super crowded outside though. their menu seems very limited and it was mediocre to say the least. we ordered truffle fries and steak. both were very average but we definitely just did come for the views and pictures so didn’t have high expectations. we also got one of their cocktails & champagne a staff recommended and it was not it. but overall, great views and staff!

    Incredible rooftop with no cover or dress code!✅ Multiple Seating Areas✅ Incredible 360 view✅ DancingVery loud dancey atmosphere on the upper level, but on the lower level rooftop theres plenty of places to relax and chat. Drinks are mediocre and at least $20 a pop, but hey, were all really here for the view.

    The first time i went to Westlight was back in December 2020. i wasnt satisfied with the service and atmosphere, which was completely understandable. Everybody was under a lot of stress. However, i went 3 years after Covid. i must say it was way better. Westlight has a spacious open balcony, offering breathtaking views of the New York City skyline. It was a little bit too loud, but i had a great time enjoying my 🍸. They had good music.We had:Crispy Herb Fries 10/10Tuna Tartar Puffs 10/10Dry Aged Beef Burger 10/10Grilled Salmon 6/10Tres Leches 3/10. It was dryyyyyy.Marigolds River 10/10.I am planning to go back in the afternoon so i can experience the beautiful sunset while sipping my cocktails😉.if you are looking for a place to enjoy a romantic dinner, celebrate with friends, or simply to take pictures and videos for the Gram, Westlight is the place to be.

    Unique experience!I had a date with my partner and it was incredible. Both for the food and the atmosphere. The service was very good thanks to Estephany who attended us that night, very friendly and courteous. Then we went up to the terrace and the view was incredible. 100% recommended this site

    What a great spot. If you looking for a great rooftop bar/restaurant with a view of the city, this is a good choice. It’s located on the top floor of a very nice looking hotel. The service is pretty quick and good. All the food that I had was great. Most notably the tempura fish buns. I can certainly recommend the place and plan to go back.

    Westlight never fails to disappoint. Again and again they level up their service and give you an experience that makes for the perfect Saturday. Thank you Micah for getting us seated, served, and a view.The fries & empanadas were delicious and not much to ask for besides more Mayo to dip my fries in.Will be back, whether for date night or just to take a business meeting. Whatever it is, the view and service will make it unforgettable.

    A huge thank you to the amazing team, and especially to bartender Charlie, for going above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable! Charlie was incredibly helpful and played a key role in securing us a table with a stunning view. Thanks to his efforts and the support of his Manager, our special birthday celebration turned out perfect, even though we couldnt make an online reservation days in advance. We took a chance, and the day couldn’t have ended any better!

    I visited this rooftop bar last week and had a fantastic experience. The view of Manhattan was absolutely stunning and really added to the ambiance of the bar. The cocktail choices were excellent and there was a great selection of drinks to choose from. The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable, and they made sure that our drinks were always topped up.Overall, I had a great time at this rooftop bar and would highly recommend it to others. The combination of the beautiful view, great cocktails, and friendly service made for a truly memorable experience.

    It’s a place with incredible energy, the drinks are perfectly crafted and delicious, and the 360-degree view is amazing. Located on a rooftop in Brooklyn, it’s definitely worth visiting.

    We got a chalet for our anniversary. We had a beautiful sunset. Food was delicious! I recommend the octopus, although it was 3 small pieces! The hamburger was very good and the ribs were so tender they melted in your mouth. Our waiter Tyler was great and checked on us often! I will definiately come back in the summer!

    This rooftop has one of the best views 🌅 and skyline Ive ever seen. That made my diner more enjoyable. All the menu is tapas and bites so get ready to try all the menu. The drinks were just amazing, quality besides the price. Its always busy, make sure you have a reservation and enjoy every minute because theyll ask you for the table after 90 minutes.

    Westlight was the beat bar I’ve been among bars in NY. Spacious area, open balcony, and live music bring you the great vibe. It is not too loud even compared to the number of people in the lounge. Food is okay, not great as fine dining so that the price not too bad either. Service depends on servers and days. They do not seem to hire enough servers given the flooding customers on the weekend nights. Still, view and vibes are great and highly recommend if you are looking for a special date nights or memorable nights with friends or family.

    Went to WL for a small dinner and drinks and boy did it not disappoint. We were promptly brought to our table and our order was taken swiftly. We order the burger and a couple small bites & they hit the spot, topped off with a couple drinks. The main attraction was the views and they were stunning, esp during sunset. Our sever Shaun/Shawn/Sean was amazing & was super attentive to our dining needs. Only let down was with it being so high up you do get strong winds, but wouldn’t let that stop you going!

    I only went by for a drink this time. The last time I visited the ice rink and enjoyed dinner in a cabin. This time around, I just needed a drink. It was perfect. I love the view. Great staff.

    Westlight is a great place for fun with friends, date night, or drinks with a view. I recommend coming during the sunset, as the view outside it beautiful, even in the rain. The dry aged beef burger ($22) was delicious, and so were the duck carnitas tacos (which were massive and filling, also $22). The food portions are large and filling. The atmosphere is loud inside. The cocktails tend to be on the sweeter side and quite strong (about $20 each. The Corpse reviver #2 was sweet. The southside cocktail was good and quite strong as well). Expensive, but youre paying for the view and good food.Its also a fun place to grab a drink in the evening and enjoy the Manhattan view, on a night out.

    My hubby surprised me with dinner and an amazing view for our 6th year anniversary. It was spectacular and we will definitely revisit. The staff was very pleasant and friendly and even wished us happy anniversary as we entered 😁

    Our host Roman and server Deena (or perhaps Dina) were incredible! A couple of the elevators were out and Roman was so helpful with guiding us and making the wait worth it. Our server was also so sweet and helpful. They gave us some complementary champagne when we got to our table and it was seriously such an intentional, sweet thought. Give Roman a promotion and raise!!!Beautiful views & delicious drinks, amazing service—couldn’t ask for more. :)

    NYC rooftop views - check! Breathtaking scenery at @westlightnyc with some new friends. Felt super blessed! My lavender cocktail was so good I was actually surprised because I don’t really like alcohol actually. The whole experience was really great and the waitress was very nice and patient with us. Had such a great time watching the sunset and enjoying the nighttime view of Manhattan after dark. Would totally come back and try some of their entrees as well! Definitely worth a visit!

    If youre in Brooklyn looking for a great cocktail and a beautiful sunset view of the city check out Westlight. We popped in with no reservations and grabbed a couple of cocktails at the bar. The bartenders were super helpful and friendly and the drinks were refreshing. I recommend going for sunset and enjoying the view.

    Drinks been insane. The quality of service and competence of staff has a high level. You as a customer feel really comfortable if you visit the place. Even for non alcoholic people they can mix if you as great drinks e.g. with cucumber. Try it out.

    First of all it is a rooftop and in my opinion one of the best! It has a killer view! You will be able to have almost 360 view on NYC and being in Brooklyn it will give you next to nothing view on Manhattans skyline. It is a awesome view despite time of the day. But its not only the view, the food is there also very good. Mostly it is a bite type of appetizers but they also have a full size dishes which are very good. They known for very good cheeseburger and I have tried their salmon and was really impressed. So you will have great food with a matching view. Reservations recommended otherwise you might end up in the pretty long waiting line.

    Beautiful location, great cocktails. Magical at night with the lights of the skyline! Visited two years after it opened, and it was verifiably charming to say the least. Servers were friendly but not overly interactive, allowing me uninterrupted time with my friend. Did not park onsite, used an uber to avoid the headache.

    The view: amazing, the food: delicious and the staff was great. We really enjoyed our time at the Westlight. Only thing to consider, make a reservation cause you only get 90 mins there. If youre a walk in you get an hour.

    The best part of this place is that it has an amazing view. I and my other friends came here just for the breathtaking views.We only had appetizers because they had limited options. Therefore, we ended up ordering only fries, calamari, chicken empanadas, and tacos. They were all great!I was impressed with their service. First, everything came up so quickly. Secondly, our waiter was super nice and helpful. We were happy with his service.Coming back for sure:)

    What started off as a 3 star experience ended with a 10 star experience in my book. First I will commend Diego for his professionalism and hospitality.3 star start: I made a reservation for two. The place was busy but not as crowded as it usually gets. My friend and I really went for drinks but also ordered some bites. Out of the two bites we ordered one came, which was the duck tacos. It was decent. We also ordered a shrimp platter. After about 35 minutes after first receiving the tacos, I asked the waitress what was going on. She said it was sent to another table by mistake and she put in the order again. I said okay, mistakes happen and it was forgivable. After another twenty minutes the platter came. I thought to myself this is acceptable if a ten year old made it. It was so poor tasting and disappointing. My friend went ahead and ordered another drink. Guess what, the busser places it on the wrong table. A table where guests just sat down and didn’t even order yet. Every drink we ordered came without straws and we had to ask for it. I was ready to go to another restaurant so we asked for the check. I told our waitress, not even thinking about getting it removed from the bill or anything about the shrimp platter. She grabbed it up, said okay and walked away, drenched in attitude before I was even done talking.I just shook my head.10 star rating: Let me start off by saying often times establishments pay attention to big spenders. The tables that are buying in the hundreds and thousands. My table was a table of two with just a few drinks purchased and bites.Diego came over to apologize and at the end of our conversation I felt like, as a customer, whether I spent $200 or $1,000, my business and me having a good dining experience mattered to him.This is the type of management you need. He absolutely took care of us until I started feeling so bad in the end for complaining. Unfortunately, the service was not so good in the beginning and I believe that he will take the necessary action to ensure future customers have a wonderful dining experience.I am so grateful for Diego changing the experience from a negative to positive one because Westlight was on my list of must go places while in NY. The view is absolutely amazing.The ribs are tender and delicious and the curry cashew is so good! You should definitely try it.Keep up the good work Diego! You’re appreciated.Great!

    Was a recommended spot from some of my friends when visiting Brooklyn. Came to the place after supper for drinks and was overall satisfied with my experience. The service was good and pricing a was a fair. Best part of the experience was the view though, would recommend bringing a coat if you plan on going at night, as it does get pretty windy up there. And also book ahead as they won’t let you go up unless you have a reservation.

    Such a great cocktail bar! Went here on a Saturday night with my girlfriends and we all absolutely loved our drinks.I got the MAGIC HOUR cocktail and it was AMAZING. If you like mezcal Negronis/old fashions, Id highly highly recommend.The MEZCAL JULEP was also very good: tequila based, refreshing and tasty.

    The ambience is great, but the service can be very slow especially with drinks. Drinks are very unique and delicious, but expect to pay a fortune for teeny tiny portions. My drink arrived literally half full in its glass, and I had to ask if that was normal because it appeared more likely that the drink may have spilled on its way over to the table, but I was told that it in fact normally looks like that. Food is on point, and portions are actually pretty decent, particularly on the bigger bites selections. I love the tapas style menu. We will definitely be back anytime were in the area!

    Heard a lot about this spot so I went to check it out last weekend. The view is amazing, the vibes were chill. We ordered cocktails and had some of their bar food which were okay.     Amazing views from here, it is what you are paying for. We went on a Tuesday and did not have to reserve a table or wait. Recommend not sitting too close to the band as it is very loud. Food was tasty but small for the price. Drinks were great.

    This place was the most recommended in each platform for a rooftop in Williamsburg and it totally deserves all the hype!They have a wide range of very interesting cocktails, everyone on the table loved what they tried.We shared some apps like the herbal and truffle fries, it was the most delicious fries I had maybe.The view is beautiful and especially if the sky is clear, this could be a perfect spot for sunset.Indoor area was a bit too noisy with people and the music, that might be the only downside.

    Not much to say that’s not already been said. This place has hands down the best views of Manhattan! We went on 9/11 and saw the tribute in light.The drinks here are also supposed to be good but my drink was a bit of a miss. The vibe also is amazing and so chill!     Located on the rooftop of the William Vale hotel in Williamsburg, Westlight has amazing views, delicious appetizers, cocktails & entrees. Whether you want a small bite & a wonderful cocktail or an intimate dinner with your significant other or friends, I would highly recommend. There also aren’t many rooftops in Brooklyn, so this is quickly being added to my list. My roommate & I enjoyed their signature cocktails & I ended with a lemon drop martini. We ordered the crispy herb fries, calamari, short ribs & salmon entrees. The views were incredible & food/drinks equally delicious. I will definitely be returning this summer!

    Unique and spectacular view of Manhattan and the river. The sunset should definitely be watched from here!Great cocktails too. Be sure to book a table outside to get the full experience. However if you end up inside you can bring your drink and walk outside for a stroll anyway.

If in Williamsburg, definitely get a reservation in advance for patio dining, and if you’re lucky weather-wise, enjoy a beautiful sunset to top off the night.Burger- 10/10. Everything you want in modern gourmet style: perfect grill (medium rare) and level of juiciness on a tasty bun, wonderfully balanced condiments that enhance while not stealing the show, ideal meat to bun ratio, and a fulfilling portion (not over or underwhelming).Return of the Mac- 10/10: for the Boulevardier and Old Fashioned aficionados, this on the sweeter side but with this serving size- I won’t complaint!

    You can’t be seeing the city from high up! This is absolutely a fantastic spot especially now during Covid because they have a very heated outdoor terrace! All the food was absolutely fantastic and every bite was well season, my only complaint would be I wish they had more options on the menu and my drink was a Paloma I thought it was on the water down side but besides that it was great!

    Fabulous though a little cramped. This terrace restaurant offers the most comprehensive view from Queens to south Manhattan along the East river.The restaurant offers super cocktails and eats. A must visit if you are in Brooklyn and especially in Williamsburg or Greenpoint. Its all laid out before you. Please reserve your table in advance. This is a hugely popular space even though it is expensive.We ordered burrata and the hummus dishes for eats and Brooklyn tuxedo, sherry flip (very good), toki-o-highball, plum perfect, golden twists for drinks. Do visit and enjoy!The menu keeps changing so enjoy what there is.......

    Very trendy rooftop bar/lounge but comfortable for anyone. Not boushey. The real attraction is the 360 view of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and maybe even Jersey. Definitely like to go when the weather is warm and the roof is open to sit and enjoy.

    We knew the panoramic views of Manhattan would be amazing (and they absolutely were!), but I was very impressed at how friendly the staff was, nice the interior of the bar was, and how delicious the drinks were. The High Altitude and the Tijuana Highball were both fantastic. And of course, worth restating how good the views are!

    Stunningly unique spot with amazing views of Manhattan. This is not a place for a quiet date night, the vibe is buzzing and there a real party feel in the evening. The rooftop terrace can be breezy but only added to the vibe for us (blankets are provided).     Watching the sunset over NYC was incredible. The view and ambiance were superb, though the food and cocktails were not particularly impressive. However, if you want to enjoy a beautiful sunset, have a great time with light snacks, and sip on wine or beer, its a fantastic restaurant. Regardless, I highly recommend visiting at least once.

    The obvious thing to say is that the views from up here are incredible. We asked for a Manhattan-facing view and the team did their best to accommodate, we ended up with an amazing corner table for the 6 of us. The cocktails here are delicious (I had a very tasty Manhattan) and theres a great choice of gin available, including some local Brooklyn offerings. The servers are super friendly and were very understanding when I asked if I could push back our reservation. Weve also eaten here before and the food was very good! Worth a trip on one of those special occasions like Valentines Day - there was a short intervals of Burlesque entertainment going on when we came last Valentines!

    If you are looking for a decent rooftop restaurant in Brooklyn, then I highly recommend Westlight. It is located on top of the William Vale hotel, and offers amazing views of the city. I liked the cozy atmosphere, especially when you go there at night. The service was good, but I was not overwhelmingly impress by the food (though it is decent). The Westlight burger was my favorite on their menu. I think it can be a great pick for a date night.

    I went there for a drink with my friend. I didn’t have any expectations and it was very lovely. I loved everything from the cute paintings of New York in their menu, to views, cocktails, service.Next time definitely I have to go there during the sunset! It has to be magical in this spot!

    Westlight is probably the best rooftop I have been to so far. It offers the most stunning views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines, has a clean and spacious rooftop, and offers a variety of cocktails and drinks at a reasonable price. You can make a reservation to dine or you can go up to the Turf club where there is open seating and one main bar to grab drinks. There is also a lot of standing room, so you can bring a big group and still wont feel crammed. The wait to get to the top was only about 10 minutes, but I suggest you come one a weeknight or early on a weekend so you dont get stuck in any long lines. Service was standard but I will definitely come to dine here and enjoy the rest of the evening on the top floor.Enough talking, the pictures speak volumes here.5/5 stars!

    Such a beautiful place and must visit whenever you’re in New York! It has a 360 view with so many incredible photo spots. The food is amazing you have to try the crispy rice spicy tuna, the fish bao buns and the fries are everything. They have great cocktails as well and the service is exceptional! We had Ryan as our waiter and I’m so happy we did because he really made the experience that much better. So friendly, kind and sweet, also gives the best recommendations based on what you’re feeling or like to eat :)!

    The roof view is probably the best in NYC. The service is often slow and the menu is a little bit pricey, but you are paying for the location. The finger food they have is very tasty as its the same chef for the Leuca restaurant downstairs. Line usually forms right at 4pm and is pretty consistent throughout the day.

    Westlight is the popular rooftop bar on the 22nd floor at the William Vale Hotel. We made lunch reservations on an extremely windy day, but fortunately, the side where we were seated was relatively shielded from the billowing winds. The wonderful hostess offered to seat us indoors if we were uncomfortable, but it ended up being fine.As you would expect, the unobstructed views of Manhattan were fantastic - you could see everything from the Brooklyn Bridge to Midtown. The clientele ranged from the young Brooklyn crowd to international tourists to random middle-aged people (us). The prices weren’t cheap, but much lower than I expected for the location. We ordered three glasses of wine, the charcuterie plate and a bowl of fries - it came out to about $100 before tax and tip. The wine list is relatively small, but good enough to keep you happy while you enjoy the view. Service was friendly and professional.The indoor space is modern with a mix of couch seating, table seating, and a few seats at the bar. If you want to enjoy the view, you really should sit on the terrace because even if you are sitting by the windows, your view will be obscured by the people sitting outside.If you want to book a terrace table during sunset hours on the weekend, you will have to do so pretty far in advance. But for the most part, you can secure tables pretty easily (especially mid-week). I think it’s a pretty great place to go on a date, but if you do choose to sit outside, make sure to check the weather and dress appropriately. Also, when you enter the William Vale, make sure to use the right bank of elevators that go to The Westlight. The elevators on the left are for hotel guests.

Got there at 4:45pm on a Friday without a reservation and was able to get one of the tables right up against the glass wall, just in time to catch sunset around 5:15pm. Spritz and empanadas (food is required because of COVID) was $40. Truly unforgettable views of Manhattan from this roof. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in Williamsburg.

    Amazing service and I accidentally made a reservation for a Sunday but the host was able to squeeze me in on a Saturday night (2/27); We got a table of 4 right by the window so the view was amazing.     We reserved a table for around sunset and were very fortunate to be given a window table.The views looking back to Manhattan were exceptional.The drinks menu is vast and not as expensive as some rooftop bars.You can get a good IPA for $8!The staff are friendly and attentive. We ended up staying for a few cocktails and saw how Manhattan changed as the sun set.It is quite busy as you have walk-ins for the bar but we enjoyed the atmosphere. You just have to be patient for your picture moment.

    Westlight is still my favorite rooftop in the city. It has an absolutely spectacular view, the staff are polite without the snobbery of other locations, and the inside ambiance is extremely sophisticated. One feels they are in a movie set for a stylish first date scene. The food itself is well executed but overpriced and small quantity but such is to be expected for rooftop food - you go for the view!The cocktail menu has been significantly reduced - but actually benefits from this. The old menu was bloated and some of the drinks were best described as “concepts”. They seem to have stripped it down to bestsellers that actually taste as good as they look.

    The big standout is the view you get. Gorgeous view of New York.The food was fine. My party all had 3 burgers and a coke. The burgers were pretty much what you expect a burger would taste like its fine little overpriced in my opinion.The Coke was good it was a bottled brand made with cane sugar.The service was friendly and accommodating. We came in without a reservation but they were able to fit us in. The only catch about that was we were only allowed an hour to eat. Which worked out for us. I do think we came at the right time around 4 to 5 pm because after our hour the server mentioned we could stay a little longer they havent asked for us to leave.Overall its a great spot for groups, a date, or for friends/family visiting out of state like me because that view was awesome, especially around sunset.Would recommend calling ahead for a reservation.
