My daughter, friend, and I were looking for a nice cafe to sit down in for a little respite after walking a lot. The two coffee drinks were quite good, although the counter service was somewhat unfriendly. It was a pleasant enough place to sit for a few minutes, although a little cramped. The most remarkable thing was the incredibly diminutive bathroom that reminded me of the Thompson/Houston Street apt my sister and her then husband lived in during the late 1970s. The bathroom there was so tiny, your knees hit the radiator and the shower was in the kitchen! But I digress... this is a pretty good cafe, but nothing to write home about.

Cozy little café; indoor and outdoor seating is great. I had a lemon-glazed pastry and a jam sandwich cookie with a café au lait. All of these were very good. Friendliness of the staff topped great service, so highly recommended. This is a very small café, yet great variety of pastries. The Supreme, a light, chocolatey dessert, almost like mousse was what I tried; it was topped with dark chocolate, nuts and powdered sugar. I shared it -- wont do that again! They also sell sandwiches to go. There were eight people in line in front of me and it took only 60 seconds to get my order. Food was great, left me speechless.

Best iced mocha in the city. Wished they opened at 8AM (vs 9AM)on Sundays. They also have small refreshing sandwiches that are quite good.

  • Review 4 (2024-10-03 - Rating: 4)

Just ordered a small biscuit from here and it was pretty good. Got in and out pretty quick.

  • Review 5 (2021-06-17 - Rating: 4)

Nice outdoor seating. They have variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries but a bit pricey.

  • Review 6 (2021-03-14 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 9 (2017-09-08 - Rating: 4)

Amazing food. Very very small tiny little standing room only bathroom made for a skinny person. Fresh espresso. Very wide variety of fresh sandwiches.

  • Review 10 (2024-09-03 - Rating: 5)

    Excellent cheesecake and fair prices!

  • Review 11 (2017-10-22 - Rating: 4)

Love the outdoor seating at this place. Pretty good coffee but I expected a better carrot cake... would definitely go again though!

  • Review 12 (2020-01-08 - Rating: 5)

I recently started to go here fairly often because I got a job nearby. The food is good and the prices aren’t bad. I usually get a couple mini sandwiches and a coffee. The coffee is also good here. It’s usually some women behind the counter and they are all very sweet! I’m not a big tuna salad fan but the tiny tuna on brioche is solid for a few bucks. I also like the Italian sandwiches on little baguettes and their spinach pastry thing, I forget the name. There’s maybe 5 tables inside with one side a bench and a seat for each on the other, as well as a small counter with stools. There are a couple outside seats too under an awning but it’s been too cold when I’m there lately. Overall, definitely a RELIABLE place and for me that is very important. Good food, good service, and reasonable prices, especially for the area. Will be back, again and again I’m sure:)

Just bought an iced coffee here & had a great experience ! the place has a warm vibe to it and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. i got my order in like 30 seconds and the cashier was so nice !! the coffee has that exact coffee taste to it, will definitely come back

  • Review 14 (2023-04-25 - Rating: 4)

Some of the baked goods do look dry and old (as some reviews had mentioned), but their coffee is legit, and their desserts are HUGE. My colleagues and people walked by me all “wow”ed at my Napoleon. lol. It’s only 2 street up from Hunter College, and as someone who worked in this neighborhood for more than 5 years, I say it is one of the best bakery nearby for lunch, coffee and snacks.

  • Review 15 (2022-04-17 - Rating: 4)

I appreciate that this place is convenient and quick, but every sandwich I’ve ever had here is so mediocre, it must be declared. Mediocre sandwiches! slightly more expensive than bodega sandwiches, and no wifi. Some charm, but not enough charm to warrant wifilessness… Im sure this place is some sort of reliable UES institution, I’m not from this neighborhood, i dont want to attack it, but it seems fair to let you know before you plan a lunch meeting here that the sandwiches can only be described as “meh” with a shrug. The coffee is good though! And the pastries are good, esp the tiny rugalah, and the layout is convenient and pleasant for eating alone or having a little meeting.TLDR: uninspired bad sandwiches & no wifi, good coffee and good pastries, pleasant casual vibe, nice old tile floors

  • Review 16 (2024-01-08 - Rating: 4)

Decent coffee, very small space unfortunately, would like to try some of the other food options, they have quite the selection!

  • Review 17 (2023-08-20 - Rating: 5)

Outstanding cheese, bacon, egg croissant. Not so good chocolate croissant - it’s more of a bread rather than a croissant. Coffee was good. Recommended.

  • Review 18 (2014-03-10 - Rating: 5)

Very nice place to get a coffee and pastry. They have little tables outside that are perfect when there is nice weather. Inside is extremely tiny, but the pastry is really good. Ive tried the fruit tart and the tiramisu and they were delicious!

  • Review 19 (2018-04-05 - Rating: 4)

This place is awesome for the variety of baked goods they offer. I wanted it all, but couldnt so I had to settle for just one. I got the tiramisu and it was great! I also had a turkey wrap which wasnt anything special. I will definitely be back again for some more pastries.

  • Review 20 (2024-02-24 - Rating: 5)

The best and freshest bagels Ive had thus far. DE-LICIOUS!

  • Review 21 (2017-05-14 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful selection of sandwiches and salads along with delicious desserts and snacks. Or grab a coffee or quick drink while on your way through NYC. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Pleasant staff at all times.

  • Review 22 (2022-08-12 - Rating: 5)

Just got coffee. Low key corner shop. Not amazing but perfectly fine. Small indoor tables. Outdoor tables too.

  • Review 23 (2019-06-13 - Rating: 5)

Small space with a lot of great pastry options. I tried the Supreme which was light and chocolatey :-) the dessert was light like a mousse with a nice coat of dark chocolate and nuts with a dusting of powdered sugar. I made the mistake of sharing... lesson learned. This place also has sandwiches if your on the go (or looking for something savory) which also looked like great options, I would come back again.

  • Review 24 (2020-02-05 - Rating: 5)

Pricey but maybe mixed fruit tarts are supposed to cost eight dollars. The space is super nice and comfy. Plus super clean bathrooms.

  • Review 25 (2020-09-18 - Rating: 4)

My cappuccino was good. Pastry was ok. Sandwich was disappointing, cold and prepackaged, for $10. I’d not return for anything except coffee, dependent on price.

Outdoor patio seating = quintessential upper east side people-watching experience. The outdoor area is heated, so its possible to sit outside during the winter.

  • Review 28 (2017-05-26 - Rating: 5)

Fresh pastries, great coffee and nice outdoor sitting area

  • Review 29 (2019-04-29 - Rating: 5)

With a line of 8 people, i still had food in hand after 60 seconds. And the food made me say damn out loud more than once. Have you had even a regular coffee cake this perfect let alone a muffin version? Do it.

  • Review 62 (2022-02-25 - Rating: 5)

Enoy delicious gourmet food at this little hidden gem of a cafe. One of the best spots to sit out side and people watch while enjoying drinks or a bite.

  • Review 63 (2015-11-14 - Rating: 4)

Yummy tasting pastries and sandwhiches. The food is reasonably priced and always tastes fresh. I appreciate the handful of gluten free options. Service has always been chaotic as staff rush to move the line. This location is small and regularly packed with many customers. There is not much room for movement as a line forms, which makes the space awkward.

Nice little cafe. We spent the night I. The city and were looking for a place to get breakfast. We skipped over many places based on the price and menu. Shen we got to Corrado and looked In the window, it looked very inviting. So we went in.They have a good assortment of pastries and coffees. I had a peach tart which was tasty and not overly sweet. I also had a cafe au lait which was served very hot and had a good rich flavor. Recommended for a quick bite or coffee.
