Irving Farm New York is a coffee shop that offers excellent lattes in a prime location, making it a convenient stop for commuters and tourists alike. The quality of the coffee is top-notch, with expertly crafted lattes that are sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates. However, one potential downside is the limited seating available, which can fill up quickly, especially during peak hours. Despite this, the cafes delicious lattes and friendly service make it a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts in the area.

  • Review 2 (2023-10-30 - Rating: 5)

Was amazing! The blond girl met all my expectations when it came to assisting me. Charismatic, and even a good salesperson. The barista made one of the best lattes I have ever tasted.

  • Review 3 (2024-06-26 - Rating: 5)

I had a fantastic experience at Irving Farm in New York! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing coffee break. Their cappuccino was superb, and the pastries were fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy a quality cup of coffee and a peaceful atmosphere!

  • Review 4 (2022-07-31 - Rating: 5)

A lot of reviews focus on the wifi thing, but the coffee is why we come and it’s great here! I’ll definitely return.

  • Review 5 (2021-08-14 - Rating: 5)

Excellent coffee and service. Village outpost just as good as the Millerton branch near their roastery.

  • Review 6 (2022-06-13 - Rating: 4)

Nice modern clean place. Latte not bitter but in paper cups. No menu alterations. If you want hot better ask for it. Would go back.

  • Review 7 (2023-11-02 - Rating: 5)

Cold brew was deliciously bitter without too much of an acidic taste. Overnight oats were perfectly sweet without being overbearing. Sunflower seeds were a nice touch. Overall a very cozy and nice place to get coffee and food.

  • Review 8 (2019-01-06 - Rating: 4)

Big coffee shop with plenty of seating and good variety of food offerings. But no WiFi...👎

  • Review 9 (2023-01-02 - Rating: 5)

Stopped by for some coffee and tea. It’s a good place to stop and regroup. They offer plenty of seating and there’s a bathroom available for customers. It’s also super close to NYU and not that far from soho. The shop is currently undergoing renovations so enter at Thompson street!

  • Review 10 (2019-08-16 - Rating: 4)

Great atmosphere and coffee but took one star because they don’t have WiFi.

  • Review 11 (2019-10-22 - Rating: 4)

Loved my coffee!! A chic coffee spot in West village at a short walk from Washington Square Park.I always like to ask about what they use for Mocha and this place uses a house made chocolate syrup - I was sold. I got an oat mocha and it met all expectations in terms of taste. Theres plenty of seating so you can always expect to find a table. They also offer food and some vegan options (overnight oats/avocado toast/harvest bowl). The buts: the size of their cup was a little small for the price they charge; this location is pretty pretty loud - So its not the best place to go relax and read a book; they do not have wifi.

  • Review 12 (2024-05-25 - Rating: 4)

Cutest little shop! the barista made a great Matcha. I popped in on my way home 🤓

  • Review 13 (2018-11-06 - Rating: 4)

This place is crowded with NYU students. There are other crowds as well. However the service was friendly and fast. Nice staff.

  • Review 14 (2017-11-21 - Rating: 4)

Very spacious new coffee shop. Lots of place to study. Opens later than some places nearby. I didn’t get their coffee but tried their “Shakshuka on a Roll” (who does that?). It was good but not in a memorable way. I might come again when other places are closed. Overall not bad!

  • Review 15 (2021-11-28 - Rating: 5)

Plenty of room for working and reading. Coffee is one of the best.

  • Review 16 (2022-07-02 - Rating: 4)

Good local coffee and iced ice.

  • Review 17 (2021-03-30 - Rating: 4)

Displays its long history in the photos posted on the walls. Has a following. Friendly waitresses chat with the regulars. Seems a little worn in decor. Breakfast waffle was good but had margarine to put on it instead of butter.

  • Review 18 (2021-11-16 - Rating: 5)

Good coffee, friendly service, quick turnaround.

  • Review 19 (2023-10-03 - Rating: 4)

Honestly good coffee, but if you buy in store the cashiers WILL tip themselves. So before you sign make sure you check.

  • Review 20 (2021-11-12 - Rating: 5)

Great spot next to NYU great coffee and croissant chocolate

  • Review 21 (2024-08-23 - Rating: 5)

Chill spot to have your breakfast. Clean, organized, polite people, and quality products.

  • Review 22 (2022-08-13 - Rating: 5)

Their coffee is really good! This is also a great place to study and get some reading done. I love the fact that there are so many plants dispersed throughout the cafe. Its a very chill environment if you just want some alone time.

  • Review 23 (2021-10-15 - Rating: 5)

Great staff, great atmosphere, great food. Nice space to work during the day.

  • Review 24 (2019-12-27 - Rating: 5)

Great place with a good coffee and tasty bakery.

  • Review 25 (2019-05-14 - Rating: 5)

Really cute coffee shop! And I just love that they have kombucha on tap! Its minimalistic vibes make you feel cool.

  • Review 26 (2022-10-22 - Rating: 5)

Good vibe, good coffee and spacious

  • Review 27 (2022-10-05 - Rating: 5)

Great coffee and study environment!! sandwiches are ok but kind of expensive

  • Review 28 (2019-03-16 - Rating: 4)

Loved my latte with oat milk! Spacious but no wifi was disappointing. The seating around tables could be more comfortable as the stools were a little high for the table.

  • Review 29 (2020-11-08 - Rating: 5)

Matcha latte and store decoration are good.

  • Review 30 (2017-12-20 - Rating: 5)

A little overpriced, but very nice place

  • Review 31 (2019-09-14 - Rating: 4)

Good coffee, a bit too acidic for my taste. Lovely setting.

  • Review 32 (2019-02-16 - Rating: 4)

Great spot for a nice drink, or something light to eat; food is seemingly fresh. Fairly busy at all times, reasonably priced.

  • Review 33 (2017-12-30 - Rating: 5)

This cafe is a good spot For small bites and coffee.

  • Review 34 (2024-05-16 - Rating: 5)

Strong service, strong coffee. What else could you ask for in your neighborhood coffee spot?Baristas Tristan and katlyn (sp?) are wonderful!

  • Review 35 (2023-05-13 - Rating: 5)

    Great coffee and fast service

  • Review 36 (2017-10-19 - Rating: 4)

Great espresso (I had a cappuccino with oat milk), good atmosphere, and friendly staff. Typical overpriced caffeine & baked goods though... Looks like a great study area for the NYU crowd.

  • Review 37 (2019-09-04 - Rating: 5)

The black iced tea is really good! A nice place to chat, work, eat, and get your caffeine fixxxxxx

  • Review 38 (2017-10-27 - Rating: 5)

Great vibe and perfect if you are in the area and need to get a bit of work done. Unlike many cafes we found in NYC, this place has a tonne of space, clean toilets and lots of great / cheap coffee options.

  • Review 39 (2017-09-07 - Rating: 4)

Atmosphere, service, and food were so nice, but there was not wifi:(Ordered pouched egg with avocado, and it was a little bit small..

  • Review 40 (2017-10-19 - Rating: 4)

Some of the best cold brew I’ve had and also excellent breads and pastries.

  • Review 41 (2021-09-16 - Rating: 5)

    Yum!

  • Review 42 (2023-11-05 - Rating: 5)

Quaint, warm typical Greenwich village cafe giving a very hipster vibe with its long cafeteria style shared tables and stools - I enjoyed it. Had a cappuccino with coconut milk (good) and avocado toast with egg (average). Service time was standard

  • Review 43 (2018-11-30 - Rating: 4)

Good service. Lots of tables and space, but its needed - when NYU is in session, this place gets packed!

  • Review 44 (2019-05-27 - Rating: 4)

Nice coffee store close to Washington Park Square. Comfortable and warm.

  • Review 45 (2023-10-08 - Rating: 5)

Lets start with the good stuff – their coffee is decent, and the staff is genuinely friendly. A warm welcome and a cup of joe, what more can you ask for? However, there are a couple of hiccups that stand out. First, the pricing. I get it; its New York, but $7 for a large iced latte feels like a steep mountain to climb. Its like taking a mini-vacation for your wallet. The second issue hits closer to home – those flimsy hot coffee lids. I cant count how many times Ive unintentionally worn my coffee because these lids seem to have a secret vendetta against sealing well. Its become quite the unintentional fashion statement. While Ive been here a few times due to proximity, its time to spread my coffee wings elsewhere. Ill miss the friendly faces, but my wallet and wardrobe will thank me.

  • Review 46 (2020-01-19 - Rating: 4)

Good coffee and good cake. Service was ok. Clean toilets.

  • Review 47 (2017-09-18 - Rating: 5)

Just got a coffee from here - it was good! And the staff was very friendly.

  • Review 48 (2022-09-12 - Rating: 5)

Amazing coffee, the lines are usually large but the service is quiet fast. This I would say is the best coffee in the area that I have found so far. It’s kind of expensive tho but a couple bucks less expensive than blue bottle for instance. One thing to note is the banana bread is awesome. Other pasties are good too but this is my personal favorite so far. This place doesn’t have wifi so it’s not a good option to work but has good seating if you plan to meet someone around.

  • Review 49 (2019-07-02 - Rating: 5)

Beautiful modern space and delicious oat milk matcha latte!

  • Review 50 (2022-09-10 - Rating: 4)

Had a couple of iced espressos in and some overnight oats.Great coffee (La Marzocco) and enough sitting space to stick around. My big complaint is the amount of disposable single-use plastic in the place (spoons, cups, etc.). Whereas this seems to be the norm in NYC I must still call them out on their sustainability shortfalls.

  • Review 51 (2022-08-31 - Rating: 5)

This is a very good coffee shop. It has lots of room to sit and talk or work. It does offer some food items, not a lot but very good items.

  • Review 52 (2019-11-04 - Rating: 5)

Good coffee, great staff and decent bagels

  • Review 53 (2021-11-07 - Rating: 5)

Im not exaggerating when I say the latte I grabbed on my way out of the city today was one of the best Ive ever had. Im an ex-barista. Who grew up in Seattle. I usually do soy, but I tried oat milk with a splash of vanilla. So perfect, I nearly cried. The espresso had such a rich flavor, I wish I had grabbed some whole beans while I was there.

  • Review 54 (2022-08-01 - Rating: 5)

A great place to do focused work (since they don’t have Wi-Fi). They have really good snack and lunch foods. My favorites are the overnight oats and vegan breakfast burritos.Haven’t tried any of their drinks, but their croissants are good!

  • Review 55 (2018-10-20 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 57 (2022-08-22 - Rating: 4)

Cool place but unfortunately even for eat/drink in everything is served in single use plastic. Sandwich size was too small for the price.

  • Review 58 (2020-10-16 - Rating: 4)

Nice Greenwich village coffee spot. Often with some sandwiches. Also good pastries. Very careful with covid precautions in place. A little pricey but worth it.

  • Review 59 (2021-07-09 - Rating: 4)

Good coffee place. Not the best, but tasty, and seems to be a good place to work.

  • Review 60 (2018-09-26 - Rating: 5)

Irving farm has great coffee and a great staff. As a regular, I know I can always count on them for quality and consistency. Im a big fan of their cold brew.

  • Review 61 (2017-12-12 - Rating: 5)

Great place to hang out, have some quick good food and coffee. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

  • Review 62 (2021-07-30 - Rating: 4)

Irving farm coffee roasters is a cafe near washington square park with a small work area, around 4 tables. plenty of pastries and their chai latte very rich and sweet, just what i needed on this hot day. they have a bathroom, although no wifi.

  • Review 63 (2017-11-14 - Rating: 4)

Good service, food seems slightly overpriced for such small proportions

  • Review 64 (2020-07-25 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 65 (2018-11-06 - Rating: 4)

Large coffee shop set up like a cafeteria. Very loud due to alot of people talking loudly. Not for studying unless you have earplugs. Fine for a quick stop for coffee or meeting up with people

Great coffee shop but theres no wifi!

  • Review 76 (2022-05-14 - Rating: 5)

Excellent coffee shop in new york

  • Review 77 (2018-05-29 - Rating: 5)

I usually get iced coffee, which very bitter and strong here so you have to like that to enjoy it. Otherwise everything else on the menu is spectacular and fresh. Great coffee shop and amazing servers. And to the other reviews here, seriously go to dunkin donuts if you cant take the attitudes of the baristas. I seriously doubt you are from new york if you need to come to Irving Farm for free wifi. Guess what, your not paying for wifi, you are paying for quality coffee and espresso beans and baristas properly trained and experienced to survive a business with the probable outstanding rent that they are on the hook for. Upgrade to unlimited data or buzz off to starbucks.
