Great space, great coffee and staff and service is amazing. Yes it can get really busy and not find anywhere to sit but be patient. I saw lot of tables turning over often. Had the matcha latte and turmeric latte with oat milk. -

Stopped in a few weeks ago to grab some coffee. winter day chills require coffee. Irving Farm has that typical NYC coffee shop interior as it is a coffee shop (ha). clean and organized. fairly big yet somewhat cozy with seating squeezed in everywhere. laptop heads and iPadders congregate here to create the almost inaudible tapping on screens and soft keyboards as they enjoy coffee and a variety of savory and sweet eats. ordered a Large Americano to go…the coffee was smooth with a nice caffeine kick. served very hot. service is a bit curt but efficient but i chalk that up to it being busy most days. definitely a place you can catch up with a fellow caffeine addict if you can grab a seat. -

The chai latte is amazing! The coffee is extremely amazing! 10/10 recommend so friendly and fast service 👏 -
Review 5 (2022-06-08 - Rating: 4)
Multiple seats inside and some little tables outside. People working with their laptops, reading, chatting, enjoying sunshine or just grab coffee to-go. We seat in and order one cold brew small and one batch brew medium. Taste good and fresh! No bitterness. Smooth and bright. Also came here for their coffee beans, multiple choices from light roast, medium to dark roast, blend or single. happily brought two bags home and got one loyalty card. Very likely to come back when being nearby the area. -
Review 6 (2018-01-22 - Rating: 5)
One of my absolute favorites in my neighborhood. The best coffee one could find and AMAZING food. I would recommend the Green Eggs and Jamon and a cappuccino. Their pour overs are awesome as well but single origin espresso is so worth the extra money. -
Review 7 (2023-02-25 - Rating: 5)
Very cute neighbor coffee shop. I feel very homie and love being there on my weekend morning. I like to have my coffee and a piece of something and watch new and old faces coming in and out. Very chill and relaxed but sometimes it got very crowded. Id definitely recommend giving it a try and let me know if you like it or have other options! 😘😊 -
Review 8 (2022-01-14 - Rating: 5)
Coffee tastes good, strong traditional roast with low bitterness. The inside/outside atmosphere is awesome. Its at an okay price point considering they actually offer large size which a lot of coffee shops dont. I like the food menu options too, ill probably try some next time im in the area. 👍 -
Review 9 (2022-12-24 - Rating: 5)
A super nice coffee shop in the very exclusive neighborhood of New York. The prices are quite decent though. They have lots of seating places at the tables, a couple of cushy sofas and a counter. The fireplace and a large mirror abive add a nice touch to the ambiance. My matcha was OK but I enjoyed to hang out in the place during the rain. -
Review 10 (2023-12-14 - Rating: 4)
Irving Farm has a few locations around New York but this is the one I went to so going to review this spot. Overall, this seemed like a decent neighborhood coffee shop for locals grabbing cups to go.The cafe is located on the bottom floor of the building so you take a few steps down and then head to the back to order. Coffee wise, I got a drip and it wasn’t bad. Very mellow and smooth taste with a medium amount of caffeine from what I could tell.Unfortunately this location is pretty hectic and was busy when I came so lots of people were moving around and the staff all seemed a little distanced / rushed getting orders out. -
Review 11 (2020-10-07 - Rating: 5)
One of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops in NYC!This outpost of Irving Farm is down the block from Gramercy Park and boasts a lovely selection of pastries and a few heartier meals as well. The espresso is made perfectly, my go to is a cappuccino, and their cold brew on tap is great too.Pre-COVID this was a great spot to bring a book and settle into a chair indoors. During COVID, you can still grab a little table outside. If you want to keep it movin’ grab your drink of choice and head a couple blocks north for a walk around Gramercy Park - literally around it (vs. inside) since it’s one of New York’s only private parks and requires a key to get in. Still with the walk though to peek in and get a glimpse of the Calder sculpture on the Park’s east side! -

Black tea mixer is amazing! -
Review 13 (2018-11-29 - Rating: 5)
Some of the best coffee in NYC. The baristas know what they are doing and treat their drinks with respect. The place is always full but it never feels crowded. -

Review 15 (2021-11-04 - Rating: 5)
Great spot to have a morning coffee.Irving is a beautiful street and this is a nice, relaxing spot to enjoy your morning brew. Pastries arent amazing, but I go here for the ambiance and coffee. Would definitely recommend. -
Review 16 (2018-12-01 - Rating: 4)
It is STUPID expensive, but the coffee is pretty damn good. The service is always very good, they have a generally playful attitude and very courteous.Their food options are not quite as impressive. The seasonal burrito was very disappointing, and the BEC was incredibly small (albeit tasty). -
Review 17 (2019-06-07 - Rating: 5)
Great, simple and tasty.Prices are ok..Service is quick..Good vibes and music. -
Review 18 (2016-04-10 - Rating: 5)
This is a great little cafe and lunch/brunch/whenever place in a coffee wasteland. I work near union square and regularly go in here for a great, precisely pulled espresso or other coffee. The baristas actually care about your coffee and unlike a lot of other premium bean places, there is little to no attitude. The line can be long but its worth the wait. Ive only heard great things about he pastry and viennoiserie selection. -
Review 19 (2019-08-14 - Rating: 5)
This coffee spot is an absolute Gem. Rustic industrial feel, that just churns out great products. Every drink and pastry I have had from them, is fantastic.Really love the coffee here and the staff as well. -
Review 20 (2022-05-31 - Rating: 4)
Went for iced coffee. Had iced coffee. Enjoyed iced coffee. Very quaint neighborhood feel. If you do on a sunny day youll love the outdoor atmosphere and experience. Really a very lovely place. -
Review 21 (2017-07-24 - Rating: 5)
The raspberry banana loaf if savory with just a hint of sweetness, drawing to memory summer gardens with its fragrance. The baristas are friendly and accommodating. The space to linger has a rustic and warm feeling, complete with unused fireplace. Overall, a nice café, though a bit pricey. -
Review 22 (2012-05-15 - Rating: 4)
The coffee is just really good. i dont order anything but black coffee, so i can tell when coffee is lackluster. the coffee comes very hot, it has complexity, you can taste that yummy good coffee strength and you get the texture of it as well. i half expect to see the coffee grit at the bottom of my cup when im done. -
Review 23 (2016-03-08 - Rating: 5)
My favorite coffee shop in the area. Their pressed croissant sandwiches were my go-to on Friday mornings when the team had gone out the night before. Its a quintessential coffee shop, with lots of tables to sit at. -
Review 24 (2024-05-24 - Rating: 5)
Matcha latte was perfect and the chocolate chip cookie was really good. -
Review 25 (2011-08-04 - Rating: 5)
This is my favorite iced coffee in the city. Get the sinful delight. Slightly chocolatey. Love it (even the warm version when its winter). They also carry Balthazar pastries in the mornings as well as donuts from Pies n Thights on Fridays and weekends. Along with their frequent purchase card, whats there not to love? -
Review 26 (2017-01-28 - Rating: 4)
Order a Turkey Panino (roasted turkey, mozzarella, roasted red peppers and balsamic). The ingredients were fresh and there was a good crunch to the panini. Had a Red eye coffee to drink which was delicious. It was expensive for a coffee place, but the relaxing environment made up for it. The ambiance makes it feel like you are in an older house. -
Review 27 (2011-12-24 - Rating: 4)
The baristas are some of the friendliest around, and more than once Ive had my drink comped after waiting a while. Food is standard cafe fare with a homespun flair. Bonus: You can get beer and wine here too. -
Review 28 (2017-09-12 - Rating: 4)
Great place to for a coffee, but also great paninis and a couple beers on tap. Many tables, but many people come here to talk and hang out, so if youre looking to study, bring headphones. -
Review 29 (2018-04-05 - Rating: 5)
I’m a journalist and I conducted an interview here. It wasn’t too loud and it felt very homey and friendly. The coffee was excellent. I even picked up a mug to take back home with me to Houston. -

Wasn’t super busy but had enough foot traffic for a good atmosphere. i started off w beats headphones on but took em off cuz the music they had playing was tasteful r&b. one of the best lattes i’ve had in a while, breakfast burrito was much smaller than expected but delicious regardless. def recommended. great place to study or grab a quick bite -
Review 49 (2017-03-05 - Rating: 4)
A buzzing coffee shop with delicious brunch bites and desserts.Pros: Food is stand-out, coffee is great, its cozy and very popular. If you come here in the afternoon, its not uncommon for a line to be out of the door.Cons: No WiFi, no cold brew, dim lighting on one side of the building (non window side). Its a definite slam dunk for early brunch with friends (say before 10AM / crowds). You may want to reconsider if you plan on using the Internet. For me, if any of the cons were fixed, its a no brainier this is a 5 star. That being said, theres already plenty of great reasons to come here! -
Review 50 (2013-06-16 - Rating: 4)

Decent coffee and a reasonable Manhattan price. Only con is that it’s always super busy which makes it rather noisy and crowded (it’s a small space) which means it’s a good stop in for a walk but not a great place to sit down and chat/work. -

The vegetable burrito was okay, not great (they finished it up in a panini press). Coffee was solid. Didnt love that they didnt have wifi and just a few outlets, so not as work friendly as other places (maybe its intentional and thats their choice). -

What a cute place with super nice people. Have only had coffee there, I really like it but giving it a 4-star because my wife is not a fan, it is too strong & bitter for her taste. But if you are into the strong stuff you will love it...and the food looks good too. -

Everyone is selling coffee in New York, but to be honest theres a lot of bad coffee out there. Instead you should head over to this locally founded and run coffee hangout which has great beans and laid-back atmosphere. Food is simple and could easily be more well executed, but its the coffee you go there for -
Review 107 (2021-07-07 - Rating: 4)

Review 114 (2019-11-26 - Rating: 4)
This is the original Irving Farm coffee shop. The coffee and food are good. Do not come here if you are trying to do work on your computer b/c they dont have wifi. The morning and lunchtime are very busy times. If you go by 8am you should be able to get a table and have a nice quiet breakfast without a stream of people waiting in line throughout the small space. Otherwise, if you live or work nearby, an afternoon coffee will be a better chance of a seat. -

Really nice little place in Irving place. Had the hibiscus tea and a almond croissant and absolutely loved it. Will definitely come again. -

Yum. Great place, great vibe, great coffee. Staff is nice and they keep a nice turnover of tables. Havent been past 12:00 but would expect the same. Their quiche is pretty good too. -

Great coffee, pastries, and sandwiches... But be prepared to wait. The line is always long and moves incredibly slow... But worth it if you have patience and time -

A neat treat, being there makes you feel like a local. My personal favorite is the Chai. Its the perfect amount of spicy zing. While youre there, grab a scone. -

I went here after the refurbishments. I dont know how it was before, but the space is stylish and understated. Its in a half-basement, but it doesnt feel that way - theres still plenty of light and air. There is a lot of seating available and the coffee is tasty, especially the Americano. I havent sampled much of the food, but I had a zucchini flax muffin, which was nicely done. Great place to sit for a while. -

This is my favorite coffee place within easy walking distance of Union Square (and my office). It can be super crowded sometimes so I wouldnt come here with a group, and getting a table can be a gamble. But the lattes are top notch, and the baked goods are pretty great too. I had a molasses ginger cookie that was so soft and chewy it may have ruined other cookies for me. I havent tried much of the savory food except the quiche, which was fine but not amazing. I really just go here to take a break with a really solid cup of coffee. -

Good coffee and a fun place to hang pre-Covid and all, but especially want to give a shout out to Stan who was working behind the counter today. There were tons of customers and he was working all alone. Nevertheless, he gave his all and was as friendly as can be the entire time. Kudos to him, and for Irving Farm for hiring a great one. (Also, this is the og Irving Farm. It doesn’t get better than this one!) -

Best tasting coffee, its my favorite coffee shop at the moment. I even buy the bagged coffee to take home and I love that they grind the beans for you.
