    Elena is the best! I called her to ask what the best pasta would be for the sauce I was making that day. She not only suggested some slight revisions to my sauce, but gave me the best service when I arrived to select the pasta. She is always ready to suggest the best pairing: pasta and sauce, or fresh baked pastry and coffee!Elena conducts her business with a smile and makes you feel like you are the only customer in the world. It’s like having a little slice of Italy right in Harlem!I love the atmosphere here; the food is incredible, and the cherry on top: unparalleled customer service! A truly local experience and one to treasure!

    We tried two dishes at this place, and the portions did not disappoint. The tomato and shrimp, along with the mussels, stood out for their delightful flavors. They have a self-serving water station. The cake and latte added a sweet note to our experience. Staff were nice and the store was clean. Will come back to try other dishes.

    Such a hidden gem!!! Just moved into this neighborhood, and when I went in here hearing the customers speaking Italian to the cashier I knew it was authentic.Claudia the waitress is really nice and welcoming, the owners are amazing, not to mention about the PASTA & pastries! Best I’ve ever had in NYC, MUST TRY! This is my go to place now :)

    At certain times a day you can watch the pasta being made - and early in the day, fresh pastries are coming out of the oven. Now, they have a backyard garden dining area open! and better yet, they deliver.My favorite ~ Fusilli Bolognese but love trying the daily specials & never disappointed.

    Cutest little authentic Italian spot. Authentic, not Americanized in one bit. Service was great as well because I couldn’t decide what to get from menu and the lady at the front whom I believe might’ve been the owner, really helped me pick something so yummy! Really good tiramisu as well. The only problem that I had was that I wanted more! Haha

    I LOVE this place. The pastries are incredible. The fresh pasta is AMAZING! The staff is friendly and warm and the ambience is cozy and charming. My only sadness is that they run out of pastries sometimes, but that just means if you want it-- you better get there.

    What an amazing gem in Harlem. I loved the pasta and service we got. They do a wonderful happy hour on wine and spritz drinks. I have dined in and gotten pasta to go and it has never disappointed. My only complaint is I wish they stayed open later so I could enjoy more pasta!

    Hidden downstairs of a very busy street is an Italian gem. Coffee shop charm amongst a neighborhood with limited breakfast options. How refreshing it was to experience solid service with a smile, candid recommendations, and a sensational cuisine. Received one of the best lasagnas, where even the smell of preparing the meal is enough to take you on an adventure. Enjoyed this meal in their backyard patio. Cups of water served inside and outside to quench your thirst.

    Fabulous little cafe and pasta place. The coffee drinks are excellent, right up there with 9 Tails on 125th and better than Lenox Roasters. Italian pastries are delicious. The fresh made pastas and sauces are amazing and great to take home for restaurant quality meals at your kitchen table.

    This small cafe offers a lot... Freshly made pasta to cook at home, amazing brioche and pastry, panini, and coffee. Highly recommend both for picking up groceries for a meal, and as I cute place to grab breakfast and lunch.

    The place is charming. I felt like I had traveled to Italy. The owners are attentive to details and quality. When you can see people working in the kitchen through the glass , you know standards are high. They have great coffee, pastries. I will be back to check the pastas soon! A great addition to the neighborhood after the already famous sottocasa.

    Little gem hidden at the Harlem. We went for breakfast on a Sunday. Not too busy and ready for clients. Everyone was nice. All pastry and sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The place is not huge, ans its italian setting makes it a welcoming and warm coffee shop. Prices are cool too!

    Impeccable pasta made by actual Italians. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. If you’re willing to schlep up to Harlem, you’ll be treated to perfectly prepared pasta, in all sorts of interesting shapes made especially for the dish, served in a homey space by a friendly team.

    Top quality Italian breakfast! Croissants, bomboloni, cookies, cakes homemade ... made us feeling home ... and for a moment we felt as we were having breakfast in a cafe in Milan! The food was excellent, the pastries were so delicious and the service was extraordinary: catering on time, everything prepared with an elegant presentation, each item with its tag and ingredients. You cannot miss a coffee and croissant at PastaItalia!

    A truly authentic and intimate Italian locale in the neighborhood. Great homemade pastas, tasty focaccia with salad (in my opinion it’s their best kept secret), coffee and pastries. The owners are friendly and welcoming. We sometimes also buy the ready made pasta salsa (Ragu) to prepare at home. So convenient.

    Amazing, delicious, cozy Italian fresh pasta shop and coffeeshop in the heart of Harlem.Serving espresso, home made torte, hand made pasta and much more. Everything we tried was very good and i will definitely go back. The place is also very clean. I loved “la vita è bella” sign!!!

    Im always on the west side of Lenox and rarely go for food before 7 (they close at 6:30), but today, I have learned a lesson.A really unassuming space from outside - i thought it was another coffee joint until I saw freshly made pasta on the sandwich board - but the menu is full of fresh pasta and desserts and some nice Italian snacks - and its excellent and well-priced.The folks that run the place/cook there are also beyond friendly and happy to help with recommendations. Really great experience, and will be one of my new go-tos for early dinners/lunch or grabbing something for later (they sell the pasta and sauce uncooked to go too!). A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

    I lived in Italy for a year and this is probably the most authentic Italian food and experience I’ve had outside of Italy. We had three different pastas plus desert and coffee and it was quick, delicious and inexpensive (relative to New York standards). Can’t believe I’ve lived here for years and never been. It’s about to be my go to spot for casual dinning food.

    I LOVE this place! It’s like going to Italy for some coffee. Make sure you try the cookies. The owners are warm and inviting. I make it my business to visit several times a week. The cappuccinos are oh so good! The bacidadama cookies are HEAVEN SENT. Get there early, bc they will run out of the good stuff! Ohhh and they sell freshly made pasta that you can bring home and boil for 3 mins! $8 for a POUND OF PASTA!

Eating in the quiet little back yard relive the flavors and emotions of Sunday lunch at my grandmothers.I recently purchased on their website (pick up) some fresh Creste di Gallo pasta to cook at home with artichoke sauce for my guests.The dinner was an incredible success and my friends also madly loved the slices of home made cakes that I had added to my order at the last minute because they were too beautiful and tempting.Absolutely a highly recommended restaurant, where everything on the menu is worth trying!!!

    I recently visited this cafe and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish.     I come here all the time and it is amazing! Ive had everything from the freshly made pastas to the take-home sauces to the baked goods, and would recommend trying it all. The service is great as well, they are always very friendly and speedy. I havent dined-in before, but the dining areas are very well decorated and the ambiance is fantastic.

    We used Elenas catering for a small party we had at home and it was absolutely fabulous!Very easy to communicate with, very professional and efficient, the menu she proposed was well-balanced and well-thought to please all the guests. We are Italian and we tend to be picky about food... but she delivered exactly what we wished and everybody loved it, especially the vegetarian lasagne -that were so flavorful and delicious- and the mini-focaccia squares with pistacchio, mortadella and provolone. The desserts were also unbelievable.Highly recommended!

    I keep forgetting to take photos whenever I go, but we go to Pastitalia frequently, whether for a cappuccino and pastry or for their happy hour and pasta.The back patio space is really perfect for spending time with friends, and their interior space is adorable.Their Aperol spritz is very refreshing, their eggplant pesto bucatini is ridiculously delicious, and their staff is so nice and absolutely hilarious. Please visit them - highly recommend!

    This is a great, little cafe on Lenox / Malcolm X Ave. in Harlem. They do an excellent espresso and capuccino to go with an italian sweet to start the day. Pastitalia also serves pasta and sandwiches to go or to enjoy on their back patio or sidwalk tables. Service is excellent and friendly. It is a great place to stop by and enjoy a little bit of la dolce vita.

    Authentic is the word and a true Italian treat in the neighborhood. I love love this place. They serve delicious home made pastas - all made in-house by hand. Happy that you can either have your meal prepared at the restaurant or you can order the pasta and sugo to finish and cook at home as a meal. The actual space is also beautifully put together.

    Whoah. Pastitalia is amazing. We had the fresh tagliatelle tonight and it was sublime. Made a simple pomodoro, which was nice, but the pasta itself stood out as amazing. Its amazing how much better high quality pasta is, and Pastitalia delivers. Im so glad they are in the neighborhood. It was also nice to get such a warm welcome from the owner. Really, this place is legit. Yummm.
