I love this restaurant; the vibe is super intimate. On Mondays and Sundays, there’s live music of very good taste. The food and wines are great (I love Bufalina - schiacciate). Love this place! My friend took me out here for lunch for my birthday and we’ve been back ever since! The servers are extremely nice, and very accommodating! Last night, Audrey was very sweet and gave us great recommendations. Everyone is very easy to talk to. If you want to come here and grab dessert, pastries, or a quick bite I definitely recommend! There’s a variety of drinks; I generally grab a cappuccino or the shakerato and it never disappoints!

From the wide variety of genuine ingredients you can buy to the great food/drinks they serve and everything in-between.The coffee had a nice earthy and nutty taste and the sandwich had phenomenal bread and cheese. The crust had a great crunch while at the same time having a good chew too it as well. The cheese was a creamy feta that matched well with the natural bitterness of the artichoke. We chose the apricot jam scone and it had (almost too much) of a wonderful jam inside with a great flaky bread outside.The location is also pretty spot on being in the heart of it all and pretty close to some subways. The only thing to note was the space in the restaurant which was a bit cramped.Overall I would definitely recommend them and if we were here longer it may have been our go to spot.

Having a small cafe where I can have breakfast and have a casual conversation with someone before heading to work has always been my dream. And Sogno Toscano is simply ideal. I feel like I am in Italy because everyone is so amiable and kind. The cuisine is incredible, the coffee tastes better than that of Napoli, and the croissants are incredibly tasty. She brings such joy to all the customers with a smile and contagious laugh. She gave me her undivided attention and exhibited the west village community culture flawlessly. She also handled multiple plates and glasses with such grace. Talk about an elegant server in a stunning place. Brooke was knowledgeable in all her wine and food recommendations. The name of this place means Tuscan Dream and after one bite of a sandwich here, I knew it would be one that haunted my dreams. The crisp airy bread, the quality of ingredients, the combination of flavors all combined to make this one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Stepping into this place is like visiting Tuscany without the need to get on a plane. I’d give it six stars if I could. I’ll definitely be back!

Stopped here for a glass of wine after visiting the SATC apartment. I thought the wine was expensive (which I suppose is expected), but it was very good. We had the Barolo, which was lovely. Really great spot to sit and watch the world go by. Gutted we didn’t try the food as we’d eaten in Little Italy but from what I saw on other tables it looked really fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend a visit.

One of my favorite lunch/sandwich shops in NYC. Their sandwich menu is extremely high quality and covers the gamut, from aged prosciutto and black truffle (aka deliziosa as shown in photo) to roasted pepper and grilled eggplants (peperina) not shown but one of my faves. Theyre big sandwiches, so pair it with a seasonal salad, youll have more than enough food for two. If you come during lunch hour, you might face a small wait to get a table or a slightly longer wait in getting food to your table, but its worth it.Another thing I liked is the very comfy and laid- back atmosphere, which is really nice for a late morning espresso on the weekend. Dont miss this place if youre visiting or in the neighborhood.

Taylor Swift spotted here! Lovely, cozy casual snack and a drink spot in the West Village. PERFECT place for a bottle of wine and cheeseboard! Yellowfin tuna sandwich was delicious but the bread broke under the weight of the fish so don’t order it on a date. Like any cozy West Village spot, request a table away from the door during winter. Despite all of the pasta for sale on the walls, this is not a full kitchen and they do NOT have pasta on the menu.

Diego was wonderful and we had the best aperitivo at Sogno Toscano. On Monday and Tuesday they have 50% off of all bottles of wine, and you can really feel like you are in Italy. It’s our favorite spot in the city and it is a true gem!

Finally a food and (soon-to-be) wine bar worthy of the inviting, rustic, homey space at the intersection of Perry/Waverly/Seventh Ave South. Come for the expertly prepared Italian sandwiches on a light, flavorful focaccia but leave with bags of dry pastas from Italy and imported jarred sauces picked off their stocked shelves and Italian deli counter. The liquor license hasnt kicked in yet but theyve got it and the unique wine list will include a range of Chianti, Chianti Classico, Bolgheri blends, Negroamaro rosato, and a special IGT Vermentino. Expert espresso drinks. Great staff. Theres a lot to love here. BYOB while you can but everything is priced to make for repeated return visits. I hope you enjoy this place as much as @ms._melissa_bellini and I did.

So, we live only two blocks away . . . and what a terrific addition to the neighborhood! Beautiful place with seminal 12 foot corner windows (amazing light is a given). Everyone in here is Italian, like REAL Italian -- so if you want to practice, or just try out a few words, vieni qui (come here!).But the issue is the café. LOVE! Awesome cappuccino, just like youre in Rome. We shared a burrata/prosciutto salad and bomboloni (donuts with filling) for the kids. The familia was more than happy. Its nice to see this corner resurrect after the pandemic, and to do so with genuine (and Tuscan) quality.Oh, and my girls couldnt get enough of the Vespa (they had just seen LUCA!) See photo.Sogno Toscano has become my go-to in the mornings (sorry, Sant Ambroeus, Partners, and The Elk). West village is lucky to have such a special place like Sogno Toscano. Its quality food and wine, its cozy atmosphere, and its weekly events such as wine tastings and paint & sips make it a destination for a memorable and unique experience. It’s as close to an authentic Italian cafe experience as you’re going to get in NYC. What makes it even better is that you can buy the actual products! Their olive oil is the best olive oil I’ve ever tasted, and I regularly go back for more. But most of all, the owner is the kindest and most genuine man. You’ll want to support this gem of a place for that reason alone.

One of my favorite spots in the West Village. It feels like you took a step into Italy when you walk in here. This place is a market, a cafe, a coffee shop, and a wine bar. They have incredible coffee and the food looks amazing. The staff is incredible and thoughtful. I walked in with my dog on a hot summer day and they offered her water and even brought out a bowl. I love the vibes and decor inside and will definitely be back to try the food and maybe a glass of wine.

I only waited about 5-10 minutes after getting sandwich to eating but the Mediterranea was soggy and totally fell apart. I saw on other reviews here that sandwiches come with a side salad or olives? But those didnt come in to go order. Between just that sandwich and an iced tea I spent $36 (I did leave 20%tip included in that price), which seems like way too much - especially after quality of sandwich. But cute environment and friendly staff. Would come back for a glass of wine, but probably not for food.

We were on our way to Jersey City and stopped by on a weekday at noon.The decor is humble and narrow-spaced with limited seating. Its pretty popular in the neighborhood but the wait for a table wasnt too bad. However, the time we arrived was a little bit late so the options werent various and we got a Pistachio Croissant and Egg & Cheese Flatbread.Both of our orders were decent and we preferred the croissant which the filling was delicate, rich & like a cream puff. The flatbread didn’t meet our expectations since the texture was chewy but we love softer version.
