I was a little disappointed with Starbucks in recent history. It had been my office and hangout location for many years. I was a official gold card member. This location has renewed my appreciation for the brand. A barista named Carl does a coffee tasting event every Tuesday at noon and Andrew another employee/barista participates and engages customers. Awesome stuff. Another young lady who’s a barista named Shaniya spoke about her life growing up around coffee, and how she was always fascinated by it, so much so that she sought out a job with Starbucks. This is the greatest Starbucks ever.

Clean walking in, quick at making coffee. The reason I give it 4 stars is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Maybe they should have someone specifically work on that since it’s in the city and coffee drinkers tend to use the bathroom quite frequently. Just an idea. Great customer service though and great coffee.

The friendliest staff of any Starbucks in NYC. Im usually here in the early afternoon, every weekday. The line is long, but it flies, so dont be discouraged if you walk in and see a long line. Youll have your order in no time! Clean bathroom, despite an onslaught of homeless people it seems. I respect how kind the Starbucks employees are to the homeless people. They dont let them stay, but theyre definitely not rude to them. That is certainly commendable. Whomever manages this Starbucks is doing an excellent job. Its my #1 favorite Starbucks in NYC, mainly due to their efficiency, cleanliness and very friendly staff.

I was wondering around central park as any good tourist does, when my legs got tired and my shoulders grew weary, and I just wanted a reliably large cup of coffee with free wifi and a place to sit down, so I travelled even further to this very starbucks. It was not a let down. I got exactly what I expected. The baristas were friendly, and working fast. I ordered my regular grande soy latte and it tasted good and sweet. I sat down at a large community table and worked on submitting querry letters to agents. At one point the rest of my table was surrounded by a group of older people who were also touring new york, I could tell because one wanted to go see the statue of liberty, and the other wanted to push it off until tomorrow. I enjoyed their company, it made me feel less alone in this giant city of people I do not know.

The barista kind of messed up my drink and hastily (tried) to make it what I ordered. I ordered a grande pink drink and they made an acai refresher and just kind of dumped milk in it. Normally, if a barista at starbucks makes a mistake, they redo it but I guess she didnt know what the recipe for a pink drink exactly was. Im just happy that theres a bathroom in this starbucks - there are so many starbucks in new york city that dont have bathrooms for some odd reason. The bathrooms were clean unlike most of the reviews and it was a very quiet, clean, and comforting atmosphere to study and work on a project in. The lighting was nice and it is near the subways.

Solid Starbucks coffee. Kudos to staff as when someone gave away one of their coffee to a person looking for compassion, staff immediately offered to replace their drink. (Absolutely understand that as a business, they can not and should not simply hand out free drink without management approval, but an offer to replace customers drink onsuch instance shows their heart for the communitys needy!)

I live near this place and go there often, and I just have never had a bad experience. I have seen it be obscenely busy with schoolkids and tourists and whatnot, but even then, the drinks always come out quickly and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. This location is on 86st and Columbus Ave. The first thing that got my attention was the young lady that took my order. She was exceptionally friendly and very informative. Sorry that I didnt get her name, however she was on duty at 7:20... on Sunday February 23 -2020. -Real nice Girl.This Starbucks sits on the corner of both streets, so you have a pretty good view of the busy streets right outside this rather friendly location. Stop by and have a nice refreshing drink and little something to munch on.
