Its always an interesting exercise to rate a Starbucks. In this case, Im ignoring any gentrification comments about the EV and really thinking about a few things:1. The spot: Big windows, great views, and great people watching make this a nice place to pop into in the morning and get some work or reading done2. The staff: Most of my Starbucks staff experience has been positive in a way that is rarely reflected in general sentiment about the brand, but these guys are especially warm to customers and every morning are offering some free sample or another. Whatever your opinion on those, its real work to arrange and I appreciate the commitment3. Speediness: Drinks almost always come out fast, even when there is a steady stream of customers coming and going. Compared to some other spots, thats no easy feat!This is slowly becoming my go-to Starbucks (still love the staff and setup on 17th and 1st, but too many vagrants for me these days) and I think you should give it a try too.

There was a rude and very loud staff, the music was loud also. But the cafe was nice and clean, and service was good too. And it is thanksgiving, so 4 points it is!

Coming here is always a great vibe ! There very fast with orders this place is always clean. It’s always warm and cool here never any issues ! Just wanted to write a review to shout out Esther on register & another girl name savanah I believe she has box braids her hair was in a bun and she was working the morning shift I didn’t get a clear read on her name tag but they both double checked my order and were just amazing ! So shout outs to this Starbucks !

Starbucks never disappoints! The coffee is always fresh and expertly brewed, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, making each visit a pleasure. Love their seasonal drinks too! Highly recommend!

I had the most lovely of experiences. Five stars. I ordered a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. The staff was very kind and the drink was very tasty. It has a bit of a caffeine kick to it. That with the sugar was a nice little boost for the rest of my day. Will be coming back.

The service was great today. I was advised on what drink to have due to coffee strengths etc. The service was quick and I was happy with my drink. Would definetly be back here when back in the area for a White Iced Mocha Grande.

Pretty standard Starbucks, could have more comfy chairs than those metal stools, nice setup though overall. I know people complain about Starbucks coming to that street, but honestly for at least a year and a half that space was empty and what is a busy corner was all ugly and boarded up, so Id complain to the landlord for not lowering the rent so an independent business could afford to be there. I was happy to see the space finally getting filled so it could bring something more lively and useful to that corner than boarded up windows which is just an eye sore

Nice Starbucks! Very spacious and clean. Amazing layout. Great baristas! Quick. Correct orders. Good vibes all around. And most importantly, AC for the summer. I’d say the nicest Starbucks in the area.

This Starbucks on Tompkins Square is one of my favorite in NYC. The music isnt to loud, staff is friendly and efficient and there is lots of seating available. Love the spacious layout of the store, not sure if they have a restroom though....
