Beautiful atmosphere with indoor and outdoor service and delicious food! The pasta was unreal and everything tasted so authentic! The service was excellent! I highly recommend Via Quadronno! Can’t wait to go back already!!

Like stepping into the best European restaurant, just a short walk from Central Park. We were sat quickly downstairs in a cozy dining room. It was raining and we had no reservation. I was delighted by our find. Then we had to wait for service, and wait. Our server was clearly preoccupied by something on his phone. During a lunch rush, probably not the best tactic. Other wait staff however pitched in and helped to move things along. The food saved the day.The salad was simple but perfect. My wife got wine. I got a beer. The kid got ice cream. Our mood brightened even as the rain fell harder outside. I left a lower tip than usual, less than 10 percent, because the wait times service was really noticeable. But made sure to thank the cooks and hostess on the way out for making it all worth it.

Everything was delicious—I’ll definitely be coming back. The coffee was just perfect. Thank you for the service!

  • Review 4 (2023-09-07 - Rating: 4)

This is one of those very quaint, old restaurants in the the Upper East side of NYC.We ate prosciutto on toasted baguette, had a shot of Espresso, and an apricot cookie. The service was friendly. The sandwiches came out fast and were delicious.

  • Review 5 (2023-06-03 - Rating: 4)

Called for a reservation for 7:45PM and arrived 20 minutes early with no issue! They let us sit wherever we wanted and were attentive as soon as we sat.The food was good, nothing crazy. Big portions and not too greasy. The seasoning itself was different than most Italian restaurants, it tasted like their version of Italian food. The tap water they give tastes awful, I overheard another person complain about their water tasting weird! The gelato and the pecan tart for dessert were delicious, a nice topper for a big pasta meal.Overall cant complain about my experience, atmosphere outside was calm and warm for a Sunday night in the city. Although, it was kinda pricy $$$ considering it wasnt authentic Italian tasting in my opinion, but again, it was still delicious.

An interesting Italian option in the UES, where you can enjoy a tasty Vitel Tone, a fresh Burratta Caprese Salad and a wonderful Chicken Milanese alla Romana. For dessert, the classic Tiramisu. Service aims to please in a warm ambiance.

  • Review 7 (2023-04-23 - Rating: 5)

We’ve had the best experience ever. Best place on earth. The food was amazing and the drinks are really delicious! The owner is so amazing and sweet, was very gentle and patient and kind! The waiters are great and very very nice and polite! The music and the vibe is so amazing! Thanks for the great brunch ever!!!

  • Review 8 (2024-08-27 - Rating: 5)

I came here with family and my niece loved the Spaghetti Bolognese so much. My coffee was pretty good and the service and ambiance was very nice here. All the other food looked nice that family members ordered.

  • Review 9 (2023-06-20 - Rating: 5)

The food was amazing and the atmosphere and service were top notch! We weren’t able to sit inside without waiting a while so we ended up sitting in their outdoor area. I had worried it would effect our service, but it didn’t at all. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in New York!

  • Review 10 (2022-08-23 - Rating: 5)

Really cute, rustic corner cafe styled restaurant with a great menu. Went with their mixed vegetables soup, Cervino sandwich and a delicious cappuccino. I would love to return for some lasagna and tiramisu!

  • Review 11 (2024-09-22 - Rating: 5)

Amazing sandwich shop on the upper easy side. perfect for a mid day treat or afternoon coffee. the vegetable soup is absolutely delicious.

  • Review 12 (2023-05-20 - Rating: 4)

Great salad and mains, and the tiramisu was perfect. But the best part was the wannabe actress arguing with a very patient friend about a bad script. Thank you for the drama, Anna!

  • Review 13 (2018-08-28 - Rating: 4)

I have been here twice now with a group of friends. I think it’s a very welcoming place and the front set up is intriguing and makes you want to go in. It has a very cultured feel where you just want to look around see all of the detail hey put into the atmosphere. You have to get the paninis here. That’s their best food. You won’t leave here stuffed as the panini is more about the taste, texture, and presentation rather than tons of food. They have great expressos as wellThe Gelatos and cookies are pretty good here too!I judge restaurants a lot by their bathrooms and this one is probably one of the cleanest and homey!

  • Review 14 (2024-01-04 - Rating: 5)

Delicious food, with a comfortable Italian atmosphere. The lasagna was very good, and the affogato was delicious and large enough for sharing.

  • Review 15 (2020-12-06 - Rating: 4)

Very good food in a European atmosphere. However, it’s a bit overpriced for what it’s worth. Bruschetta and arugula salad were done right but the rigatoni was a bit underwhelming. Also, the “specials” aren’t really special - just ordinary pasta dishes. Wouldn’t come here out of your way but decent spot if you’re in the neighborhood.

  • Review 16 (2024-11-02 - Rating: 5)

Always welcoming. Delish food at reasonable prices for the neighborhood. Never left this place without a smile on ones face!!

  • Review 17 (2023-10-21 - Rating: 5)

Love this place, passing many others right after The met. Reasonable price, pleasant hosts.

  • Review 18 (2023-03-07 - Rating: 5)

Wow— they make a proper latte! I’m impressed! I needed place to enjoy a coffee break between appointments and they were kind enough to seat me (despite a busy dinner crowd). Thoroughly enjoyed and will plan to come back for a proper dinner or lunch.

  • Review 19 (2024-12-26 - Rating: 5)

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years. Great food and always pleasant service!

  • Review 20 (2024-05-12 - Rating: 5)

I had the baked eggs (for those who are unsure, this is basically an omelette in a dish!) Very tasty, good sized portion, I couldn’t finish it. Our order was misunderstood because we had order two of the same so they thought we were sharing so mine came out after my husband had finished eating his.Well located, not far from Central ParkFriendly environment with nice staff.Wonky table.Clean and tidy.Best hot chocolate so far I’ve had in New York!

  • Review 21 (2024-04-13 - Rating: 5)

Via Quadronno, a one of a kind restaurant located on a street in the heart of manhattan. The atmosphere combined with the food this place has to offer makes it a wonderful experience. The service here is great and they are always very kinda and hard working people. Though the food may be a bit pricey for some ,but I personally would say it was worth every penny. I may be a bit bias due to my love of Italian food; but this restaurant is worth a try if your looking for a taste of new york.

  • Review 22 (2024-05-18 - Rating: 4)

Great location, fast service but the salad quality was only okay. For 20+ you can expect more than 4 slices of tomato and a low quality olive oil. Wine by the glass seems expensive but it’s filled to the brim!

  • Review 23 (2023-10-21 - Rating: 5)

Delightful spot that sat a hungry young couple on a random fall weekend afternoon. Lunch was great and at a good price.

  • Review 24 (2022-05-06 - Rating: 5)

The best Cappuccino and Tiramisu I’ve had in my entire life—no exaggeration. A little on the pricier side but we’ll worth it. Definitely coming back here again!

  • Review 25 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 5)

Been coming to this place for several years now every time I visit NY, so of course I recommend visiting

  • Review 26 (2024-09-15 - Rating: 5)

Nice place the best carbonara in the area.. 👍👍

  • Review 27 (2021-05-08 - Rating: 5)

Delicious, renowned paninis! You can more than likely expect a winding line, but, if you go on a rainy day or on a weekday you can get seated quickly! Try the prosciutto mozzarella tomato and olive paste panino!

  • Review 28 (2024-03-13 - Rating: 5)

Charming old time cafe with a neighborhood feel. Staff and patrons clearly knew each other for a long time. Good coffee and homemade soup. Accommodating with dietary restrictions and has vegetarian options.

  • Review 29 (2018-07-01 - Rating: 4)

We shared a mortadella sandwich for a light lunch at this cozy cafe. Staff was very friendly and professional. A welcome and unstuffy retreat on the UES.

  • Review 30 (2022-04-14 - Rating: 4)

Im not from NY. Im visiting from California... This small eatery is really cute ... nice cashier and owner lady. Got chocolate ice cream on a sugar cone and a chocolate croissant. Very tasty. Went back in and got several cookies for 75 cents each.Good stuff.

  • Review 31 (2022-03-02 - Rating: 5)

A little taste of Europe at this cozy upper East side destination. Gorgeous coffees, delicious tiramisu, and satisfying sandwiches.

  • Review 32 (2018-02-28 - Rating: 5)

An amazing Italian spot in the heart of New York. Great service, amazing location, great paninis. The quantity of the wine at glass was super, the espresso as it should be: the real thing not like the funky 3rd wave cafe where it’s disgusting! I love this place

  • Review 33 (2024-12-28 - Rating: 5)

Great place to have great and also vegetarian food !

  • Review 34 (2024-03-09 - Rating: 5)

Great food and service. Amazing panini selection and the best tiramisu in Manhattan!

  • Review 35 (2022-05-23 - Rating: 5)

Really delicious food ! The spinach lasagna was the best.

  • Review 36 (2017-03-08 - Rating: 4)

Great spot for a lunch stop. Their food seems to be spot on. Service is great. I would give them a 4.5 if I could.

  • Review 37 (2024-10-07 - Rating: 5)

Love this place. The food, service, the gelato! In one Word, A Gem.

  • Review 38 (2024-09-12 - Rating: 5)

I just got my cappuccino. I watch the people in upper Eastside. It’s very good time for me but at the same time it’s pricy when you consider with other places.

  • Review 39 (2022-12-13 - Rating: 5)

Small, cozy space with delicious food. The paninis looked amazing but I just had the vegetable puree soup which was so delicious and filling. It came with garlic bread crusts which I thought was really great - they practically melted into the soup. No reservations so show up early; they were absolutely packed for lunch on a Saturday, but they were able to accommodate our party of six within 15 minutes.

  • Review 40 (2023-09-05 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful employees, amazing food. Staff was knowledgeable, personal, and a pleasure to be around. Dinner was delicious and so were the desserts. The manager on duty even brought us some cookies before we left! Highly recommended

  • Review 41 (2018-11-08 - Rating: 5)

Delicious Italian sandwiches with fresh ingredients are served here; this was expected as in all Italian bistros. However, the signature dessert makes the difference. Tiramisu di San Donna is to die for!

  • Review 42 (2024-12-20 - Rating: 5)

Excellent coffee and pastry great Xmas vibes!!

  • Review 43 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 5)

This is my absolute go to spot when I’m having a day at Central Park or in Upper East Side. The owners are the absolute best with their warm hospitality with attention to detail, service, and incredibly accommodating . The rustic Italian food is delicious - the truffle tartine is my go-to and I love the spaghetti carbonara. The tiramisu is hands-down, the best I’ve had in the city. Please just don’t tell my Nonna!

  • Review 44 (2024-12-17 - Rating: 5)

Been here twice and both times the food and service were top notch. I especially enjoyed the black truffle bread, tomato burrata, spinach lasagna, and best off all, the tiramisu. The vibe is perfect for any sorts of celebration. This place definitely reminds me of my trip to Italy, it’s autentico! All of their ingredients are imported from Italy. Highly recommended!

A pandemic after-work meal. Delicious Italian food, eaten in an outdoor hut. Very good service, too. I’ll be back.

  • Review 48 (2024-12-17 - Rating: 5)

The most welcoming place on this side of Manhattan. Give a try to spinach lasagne and deconstructed tiramisu!

Amazing food, atmosphere and services! Will definitely come visit again!

  • Review 50 (2022-08-16 - Rating: 4)

A convenient and lovely spot just steps from the park! You can get a scoop of ice cream, pastry or coffee to-go or if there is room, enjoy seating and the atmosphere inside or outside. I cannot speak for the paninis or food. Service is attentive and friendly, enjoy!

  • Review 51 (2024-12-16 - Rating: 5)

Great food, friendly staff, and a local favorite! Highly recommend!

  • Review 52 (2023-07-28 - Rating: 4)

  • Review 53 (2023-02-20 - Rating: 5)

Both the waitstaff and the food are amazing! Very fast service and Natalie was so sweet and helpful. And their tiramisu is the BEST I’ve ever had

  • Review 54 (2016-07-18 - Rating: 4)

I dont know much about meat shops but I sure know great service, and the service here was impeccable.Frank was so sweet, attentive, and great with suggestions. He even gave us samples to try. Everything that we ordered was simply amazing and made our picnic even more successful.Their sausages, burgers, mozzarella, meatballs, etc. are made in house and everything looked so fresh.Ask for a sample of hot sopressata if you ever get a chance to visit, you wont regret it.

  • Review 55 (2022-11-08 - Rating: 5)

Oh my, was this place an amazing treat. I’d had Via Quadronno saved on my Google maps since I moved uptown a year ago — hadn’t had the chance to try it yet until today when I was walking home from the Met. Such a great sidewalk atmosphere and a truly DELICIOUS panini. Loved it!

  • Review 56 (2024-02-02 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful service. Incredibly hospitable hostess. Great food, great. Experience. Highly recommend for lunch in the area, especially for workers.

Such a nice experience! I certainly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere made me felt like when I visited Italy. It’s very cozy and delicious. The menu also is very good with many options of Italian food!

  • Review 60 (2023-12-08 - Rating: 5)

Amazing hidden gem lunch spot. If you are walking Central Park definitely come here in the afternoon for lunch. Service was great and the Carbonara and baked lasagna were wonderful.

  • Review 61 (2017-01-16 - Rating: 4)

Had a lovely lunch here with some girlfriend before trying on wedding dresses in the area. Lots of menu options, great espresso (and a skilled cappuccino artist!), and attentive service. Its a tiny place, and certainly filled up in the time we were there. Would return if I was a local!

  • Review 62 (2024-05-30 - Rating: 4)

Food was decent but we were forgotten about by our server and struggled to get their attention to get water.

  • Review 63 (2024-08-19 - Rating: 5)

Amazing food and drink at any time of the day!

  • Review 64 (2021-06-27 - Rating: 5)

The three of us had a perfect afternoon chat over iced coffees and gelato. Waitstaff was friendly and left us alone to enjoy the company. My iced latte and arranciata were both perfect treats on a hot summer day and they came back to refill our waters multiple times. A new favorite spot!

  • Review 65 (2023-01-01 - Rating: 4)

Service was kind of slow. The sub was okay. The Panna cotta was on point.

  • Review 66 (2021-12-30 - Rating: 5)

We happened to find this place while wondering around for a chill place to sit and have food. The outside seating was super cozy with the provided heaters. Our waiter was also super nice and responsive and the service was fairly quick!Get the paninis when you come here! I got the Il Tiroler panini and my aunt got the La Madunina. The Il Tiroler was very refreshing with the goat cheese and vegetables alongside the savory speck, would recommend! I also got the Caffè, with with they bring you some foamed milk so you can add your desired amount. The tiramisu really deserves all the praise, the creme was light and foamy and not too sweet. It doesnt have a lot if coffee flavor to it though. We also got a pecan tarte and vanilla ice cream - the tarte was warm and buttery and went great with the cold and fresh ice cream!

  • Review 67 (2024-12-13 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 68 (2024-12-07 - Rating: 5)

    Best food in my. Ever

  • Review 69 (2018-04-10 - Rating: 5)

Our family stopped in for dinner on a Friday night while visiting the city from Seattle. Service was lovely and the food was very tasty. But the best part was yet to come... The following morning, we realized we had left behind a shopping bag with items we had purchased from our visit - but, sadly, we were already on a plane back to Seattle. :-( I phoned the next morning, and the nicest woman offered to walk our package back to the store where we had purchased the items, so that they could ship us our stuff!! And now our stuff is on the way. I only wish I had caught her name, so I could send a thank you card. Via Quadronno is lucky to have such lovely staff!

  • Review 70 (2023-08-10 - Rating: 5)

Very good food and the gelato was amazing! Coming back here soon!

  • Review 71 (2015-05-06 - Rating: 4)

If youre going to the Met to get cultured for the day, stop here for lunch. Its a cute Italian cafe thats only a few blocks away. I like the paninis and the coffee here. Its all very fresh and service is always great here. Its a nice break after walking around the museum all day.

  • Review 72 (2018-04-02 - Rating: 4)

Pretty nice restaurant. I would like to try pasta next time. The portion is small to compared to other restaurants but it’s good enough for small bites.Tiny restaurant so you might have to wait but it moves quickly. They have variety of gelato and desserts.Staff are nice and friendly.

  • Review 79 (2022-03-20 - Rating: 4)

Food is good, prices are in line for Manhattan. I got the veal chop. Tender but not the best cut. I would definitely go back but I would stick with the pastas.

  • Review 80 (2019-12-28 - Rating: 5)

Delicious! Convenient to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (within walking distance) and the lux shops of Madison Avenue. Excellent Italian food. Had the best meat ravioli. Yum!

  • Review 81 (2015-08-20 - Rating: 4)

The food is incredible. We went for dinner, had clam pasta and gnocchi and risotto, finished up with gelato. Only problem was the prices did NOT match what I found on the Web - average dinner is $25-30, not $20.

One of my most favorite restaurants in NYC

  • Review 86 (2014-10-31 - Rating: 4)

How have I lived here for so long and am only just finding out about this fantastic hole in the wall?! I stumbled in on MLK day to warm up, have a bite and read a little. I found a little table in the cute back room (there are flying pigs on the wall!!) and quickly realized that every other patron was from somewhere in Europe. There was one table from Spain and other from France I believe. The waiters spoke Italian to each other, and I was totally content to just soak it all in. After all, it was the cheapest way to take a trip to Europe I could think of! It was still breakfast time so I ordered the vegetable fritatta panini and enjoyed every bite. It was basically a little omelet on a grilled brioche, but it was served with a fresh slice of tomato and I was under the impression that the ingredients were hand picked from the farm that morning (unlikely, but a girl can imagine!). The cappuccino was easily one of the best Ive ever had. Frothy and creamy deliciousness! I would highly recommend as a lunch spot during a day of museum hopping or just a quaint little place to go read a book. Their gelato menu looked pretty legit as well.

  • Review 87 (2022-12-23 - Rating: 5)

Very nice sandwich restaurant. Paninis did not disappoint. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a ton of space, but that adds to the quaint atmosphere.

  • Review 88 (2023-07-09 - Rating: 4)

Decent coffee with food prices that make you realize you are in Manhattan! Small sandwich can set you back $16.

  • Review 89 (2018-11-23 - Rating: 4)

Pros: Excellent soup (~$14), good sandwiches ($13-15), good coffee (~$6). Cant speak to the pasta dishes ($23-26)Cons: Small venue, would not be very accessible to the mobility impaired.

Found!Where to go on the Upper East Side for some quick serve, but excellent Italian food??? Via Quadronno of course! Come for the coffee stay for the food. Panini and pastas are great! This location has been a staple since it opened and will continue to be a refuge from Madison Avenue shopping.Make sure you are in The Loupe on all that is new and authentic!

  • Review 101 (2019-01-20 - Rating: 5)

Stopped by for lunch smallish tables. Yummy soup and fresh panini and pastas. Beer and wine available. A bit expensive. Very local crowd.

  • Review 102 (2019-11-05 - Rating: 4)

Cozy local coffee shop/light food/restaurant. Tiny, and expensive ($6 for a small latte!), but cute for a lunch and to sneak out of the cold on a fall or winter day. Seats on the front glassed area are nice for people watching. Seats in the wider back section are warmer and quieter.

Went for dinner, and the pasta was OK. The shrimp and Pasta with cream sauce was on the bland side. . But, the pastries smelled amazing, and it seems to be an amazing lunch place, albeit wicked expensive for spaghetti and marinara sauce (not really kid friendly but hey, live and learn right?) Its also just off central park so Im sure they gotta pay rent. It wasnt bad, just expected better for $150+ for a family of four.

Treated us special on a day we were celebrating. The lattes are high quality. Service was a little lacking because they were busy but thats expected. Spinach lasagna Im still dreaming about back at home 200 miles away.

We had been to this place on 6th May 23. Its a vibrant place. The lady owner/manager has amazing skills of interacting with people and with her ever smiling face is seen interacting with every client ! Amazing PR skills. Most of the clients appear to be regular ones. Food delivery was prompt , staff very energetic and the food was delicious. Worth the money. Must visit place in NY trip.
