Mexicue offers a vibrant dining experience with amazing and flavorful food. The dishes are truly delicious and well-prepared. However, the atmosphere can be quite noisy due to the loud music, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, the service was a bit slow, which was a minor downside. On a positive note, their cocktails are worth trying and complement the meal well.

  • Review 2 (2024-11-30 - Rating: 5)

It was my first time to eat at Mexicue and it didnt disappoint! We ordered chips and guac and elotes for apps and it was good. For entree we did shrimp taco, pork birria taco, fish taco and everything was amazingly good.I would definately come back to try more.

The idea of Mexican food and BBQ caught our eye. We made a reservation which was good since the restaurant is small. We were seated quickly and the one waiter sat us and provided menus. It was awhile before he was back to take our drink order. Decided to order an appetizer when we placed our drink order and went with the nachos. Nachos arrived but no drinks. Started eating the nachos since they were hot and still no drinks. With a good dent in the nachos the cocktails arrived. They were good but the timing was all off. The nachos were also good. We could have just had those for dinner (shared between 2 of us) had we realized how big a portion we’d get. I ordered a smoky chicken taco which was also good. It didn’t have that fake smoke taste thankfully and was moist and large as well.

  • Review 4 (2023-12-20 - Rating: 4)

Really great food! The shrimp taco and chicken taco were amazing, avocado taco was also good. Everything was SPICY, including nachos!Nice quick service and lovely atmosphere. But the staff turned off the music right at 9PM and they visibly wanted everyone to leave quickly.

  • Review 5 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 5)

Shrimp taco is to die for !! Try it asap ! This is my second time. I’ve tried brisket taco, chicken taco, schrimp taco and corn. Corn is amazing ! 10/10

  • Review 6 (2023-07-17 - Rating: 5)

I would recommend making a reservation, they were pretty busy and we had to sit near the doors which isn’t a big issue. The place was assume! Our server was helpful with recommendations and the service was fast and quality. The food and drinks had all the flavor you’d hope for. I’d definitely recommend and return again. Thanks for a great experience!

  • Review 7 (2024-12-19 - Rating: 5)

Wow, just wow—this place is a taco lover’s dream! We did the all-you-can-eat tacos, and they were massive and absolutely delicious. The staff? Total legends—so friendly and on top of everything. The whole vibe was amazing, and the food was ridiculously good. If you love tacos (and let’s be real, who doesn’t?), you need to check this place out!

  • Review 8 (2024-12-01 - Rating: 5)

We stopped by here when my mom and I were in the city and wow, what a delicious meal! The nachos were INSANE, maybe the best nachos I’ve ever had? And the stacked enchiladas were delicious too! We will definitely be back!

  • Review 9 (2022-03-24 - Rating: 4)

Great food, but not entirely worth the price & wait. We didn’t have reservations and that was a mistake for a Friday night dinner. Wait time was over an hour, but staff was understanding, checked in on us, and immediately had our table ready after. Unlimited chips were excellent with the different dips. Tacos were superb, as was the pitcher - get it with the chili & salt rim! Staff was great. Outdoor seating available.

  • Review 10 (2024-12-14 - Rating: 5)

These were one of thebest tacos I have ever had in my life! I ordered the Smoky Chicken and Nashville Hot Chicken tacos and the wait for them was so worth it. The Smoky Chicken taco especially blew me away–the chicken was so incredibly tender and paired wonderfully with the vegetables and tortilla wrap, the sauce sealing it altogether. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy due to the decorations and it didn’t feel as small as it looked, I was quite comfortable at the bar. I’d have to come back soon to try their other dishes and drinks, since they have an extensive menu.

  • Review 11 (2023-12-06 - Rating: 4)

Very cute interiors, nice food. Portions were a bit uneven: huge nachos and small tacos (only one per portion). Overall tasty and good atmosphere.

  • Review 12 (2023-09-03 - Rating: 4)

Starters and drinks were great! The fire roasted creamy corn dip was a hit. There were some really good vegetarian options. Some of our entrees were ok...The place had a good vibe!

  • Review 13 (2023-07-19 - Rating: 5)

First time here and had a great experience. You can mix your tacos. I ordered the shrimp and pork and both were delicious. The nachos was an generous sharing size and so delicious!

  • Review 14 (2024-11-01 - Rating: 4)

  • Review 15 (2023-07-19 - Rating: 4)

Our bartender was friendly and attentive. Drinks and tacos were tasty. The restaurant is small so its not easy getting a seat even on the weekends. The C rating was a bit concerning but I will give it another shot.

  • Review 16 (2023-11-11 - Rating: 5)

We came here randomly while in NYC. We arrived around 5:00pm and didn’t have a reservation but we’re able to be seated at either the window bar table or a high top. We chose the high top table. If you choose this option just note the tables are super small, the chairs have no back support and there are no hooks to hang purses or coats. This was the main reason I gave the “atmosphere” 4 stars. I had to eat with my purse on my shoulder and hat and coat in my lap.It was still happy hour and we were super happy to see that the house margarita (pictured) was discounted. It was a very well balanced margarita. Not too sweet or sour.I ordered the wild mushroom quesadilla and lorrrrrd have mercy they were delightful!! It was hands down THE BEST vegetarian dish I’ve ever had. We will deff be back next time we are in the city and craving a wonderful margarita and Mexican food.

  • Review 17 (2021-05-04 - Rating: 5)

The food is soooo amazing like really really good. Shrimp, bbq brisket, cod fish and lobster yes you heard me right lobster tacos are worth the trip to mexicue. I ordered the chicken quesadilla to top things off. Chris was so amazing and super chill. I dined outside the weather was wonderful. I will be making a trip back for more. I am gonna try the entire menu.

  • Review 18 (2024-08-06 - Rating: 4)

Serve excellent margaritas and good food- in good positions 😃👍

  • Review 19 (2023-04-16 - Rating: 4)

The food is SO GOOD!! All of the ingredients were fresh and perfectly put together. We got a pitcher of margaritas and the Cheese-Burgitas. 100% recommend going here!! Buttt the service sucks so if you don’t like being in awkward situations where you have to ask the waitress to wait on you, maybe get takeout.

  • Review 20 (2023-05-12 - Rating: 4)

Delicious meal and quaint atmosphere. Every component of our plates was flavorful and worked together. Highly recommend the stacked enchiladas. Good and friendly service overall, but I think the servers are stretched a little thin.

  • Review 21 (2022-04-02 - Rating: 5)

One of the best foods we have had here in NY on the Time Square area...!!!!! 🌮😋Food is so flavorful, we ordered BBQ burrito, and BBQ taco, Chicken taco and lobster taco 👌The house margarita 🍹 is great, but is missing something, could be better, as good as the food..But definitely you should try this place⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Review 22 (2024-08-14 - Rating: 5)

I’ve eaten here three nights in a row! It right across from my hotel. The food and service are AMAZING! So good! As a diabetic, I can get a skinny margarita and tacos in a lettuce boat! Love this place!P.S. Angelica is an amazing bartender and please tell her Hi! 💗

  • Review 23 (2023-08-04 - Rating: 5)

The food was delicious, highly recommend!!! We got the elote style corn, veggie guacamole and some tocos to share & everyone enjoyed 😋The service was also great 👍

  • Review 24 (2024-07-21 - Rating: 5)

Stopped by for happy hour which lasted until 6. Accommodating service where we had someone else join us and they were able to move us to a bigger table. Nachos was a good bang for your buck during HH.

  • Review 25 (2022-05-28 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 26 (2024-09-26 - Rating: 5)

If you’re craving good Mexican food, this place should be your destination. We ordered the chips and salsa, a bowl of rice with chicken, and the brisket tacos. Everything was absolutely delicious. The flavour were amazing , and each dish was perfectly seasoned. The spicy margarita was outstanding, packed with just the right amount of heat. The staff was incredibly attentive, making the experience even better. I definitely recommend this spot for a fantastic meal and great service

  • Review 27 (2023-08-19 - Rating: 5)

The food was brilliant especially the Brisket! Sebastian was very nice and a perfect waiter.Next time we will come back - for sure.Price (30 USD per person for a lot of food and a drink) is okay for this great food.

  • Review 28 (2024-06-01 - Rating: 5)

We were a bit doubtful as its a chain but we were delightfully surprised. Refreshing flavors, good choices on the menu and service was excellent. My wife and I went for a late lunch, shared an appetizer and a drink and both of us ordered tacos individually.. $60 for two incl tipIm vegetarian and the Avocado taco is very tasty

  • Review 29 (2023-06-29 - Rating: 4)

Crispy fish taco and smoky chicken taco, and the poblano queso were all very good. I was surprised at how filling the tacos were and I liked how you can mix and match the tacos,

  • Review 30 (2024-08-24 - Rating: 5)

Had tacos and burritos in this amazing restaurant near Bryant Park. The food was great and the service quick and nice. Loved the Cajun shrimp tacos !The restaurant can be a bit noisy when it is fully occupied but this is manhattan 😁

  • Review 31 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 5)

It was my second time there and I absolutely loved the food and ambience. Service was exceptional. One of my go to places for Mexican in the city.

  • Review 32 (2024-08-29 - Rating: 5)

Great food, fantastic service but a little crowded. I guess it’s normal for NYC. Below is a picture of “Barbecue beef rice bowl”and “cajun shrimp”.

  • Review 33 (2024-12-01 - Rating: 4)

Tasty food! I had reservations for 5 but didn’t get seated until 15 minutes later. Very cramped interior. I got the mexican street corn, nashville fried tacos, smoky chicken tacos, and chips with poblano queso. All great + highly reccomend the smoky chicken tacos!

  • Review 34 (2022-07-01 - Rating: 5)

Great Mexican food! I am from the Southwest and know good Mexican food. This place was a great fusion of flavors on typical Mexican dishes. I will come back the next time I am in NYC!

  • Review 35 (2018-11-24 - Rating: 5)

Everything was delicious. My waiter was great, very attentive. I ordered the lobster and shrimp tacos, DELICIOUS! Of course the drinks were good.. I had 4! The atmosphere is nice as well, great for date nights, with friends or time alone.

  • Review 36 (2017-10-25 - Rating: 5)

The other comments interest me. The servings are as expected for the equivalent of street tacos (it’s a corn tortilla filled with delicious happiness). The unique cocktails were awesome (I had the Mexican Mule, Bootleg, and House Margarita). I’m from San Antonio, TX and love Mexican food, barbecue, and good bourbon. This place hit the mark in my opinion. Well worth it!!

  • Review 37 (2023-04-21 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 38 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 40 (2021-08-09 - Rating: 4)

This place is a hidden gem 👌🏻 The waitress is really helpful and friendly, great service! The food was really tasty, best tacos I’ve ever tasted and their Spicy Margarita is absolutely a winner!!

  • Review 41 (2022-04-11 - Rating: 4)

The Broadway location was a little small and the table was tight but the jamburrito was amazing. The four dips as an appetizer were also absolutely delicious. We got the cheese, bean dip, guac, and salsa verde and all four were perfect. The waiter was very kind but slow towards the end when we wanted a second beverage. Overall would go back because of the great fresh and quality food! The drinks were strong and tasty and they have so many vegan options for those you would want it!

  • Review 42 (2018-06-11 - Rating: 5)

Mexicue has really good Mexican food. Their service is quick and very friendly. They do get a bit busy around lunch and after work hours but the food is well worth the wait. They usually have happy hours specials on drinks (servers are usually pretty upfront about the special today). Id highly recommend their tacos.

  • Review 43 (2022-07-09 - Rating: 5)

A great find in the middle of the city. Awesome fusion tacos and margaritas. Great space and staff. Sure its pricey, but hey its Manhattan. 🤷

Great food, lovely drunks and you have to try the corn ribs. Lots of good options for tacos.

  • Review 51 (2019-11-07 - Rating: 5)

Loved it! Fabulous combination of flavors. Mildly spicy for this non-spice lover, but very much worth it. Best cornbread I’ve ever had; sweet and delicious.

  • Review 52 (2024-03-27 - Rating: 4)

Came here randomly for happy hour. They didn’t have a big happy hour menu. An item wasn’t available and they only had corn tortillas (which I like). Ordered brisket and chicken nachos 10/10. Drinks ok. Got a Casamigos shot which was $17 :O. Tacos were okay.

  • Review 53 (2023-02-25 - Rating: 5)

Im not sure it was only that day when I visited, but the kitchen ventilation seemed not working properly. It is a open kitchen but smoke was full in dining area.Food was tasty and portion was perfect sbut cocktail wasnt impressive.Server was very nice and helpful.

  • Review 55 (2022-11-20 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 56 (2017-12-12 - Rating: 5)

Small but well organized modern tex-mex style Bar and Restaurant. Beautiful wood and partially open kitchen compliment the bar with respectable selection and custom designed, seasonal drinks. Works for a work meeting as well as a casual date or evening activity.

  • Review 60 (2024-05-26 - Rating: 5)

Luscious, met in your mouth hearty tacos, especially for the pulled pork carnitas, and beef brisket tacos. While seemingly pricey, the quality and flavor is superb. Highly recommend and will return, still tasting and dreaming about these tacos. Convenient to Bryant Park and subways.

  • Review 61 (2021-11-05 - Rating: 4)

The food here was fantastic! We got the appetizer of chips with four dips: queso, salsa, bean dip, and guacamole. My husband suspected the queso was actually cashew queso and didnt like it, but I loved it. We also got the burnt ends brisket bowl, which was delicious. My only complaint is there are no drinks offered besides alcoholic drinks. I really wanted an iced tea or an agua fresca or Mexico Coke.

  • Review 62 (2024-07-06 - Rating: 5)

Tacos were good. Great location but small space. Service was good as well. However, the guacamole and tortilla chip was a bit disappointing.

  • Review 66 (2018-08-20 - Rating: 5)

They were very accomdoating for our group of 11. We called in advance. Its very small inside, but cozy. The place smelled delicious and food was just as good. Tbe nachos with guacamole is a must along with the queso. The portions are perfect, just like tapas. The sangria is strong, perfect and delicious! Great time, will definitely go back

Fantastic restaurant! We were a party of 3, two adults and a 5 year old. Luckily we got a walk-in, but it was busy, so Id recommend making a reservation if you know when you want to eat here. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos.Oh and the cocktails are amazing too! Cider bourbon spritz 😍Please share your queso recipe with restaurants in the UK 🇬🇧 no one makes it like you!!!

Went here with my coworker yesterday. We really enjoyed the food. We had the avocado tacos and Mexican street corn. The drinks were good too. We had the Montauk margarita. The waiter was friendly but a bit slow. The space is very small and not easy to walk around with all the tables practically on top of each other. Anyway, we still enjoyed ourselves.

I loved the food and atmosphere. Margaritas are lovely from here and they have a pitcher option. Great for family style meals with friends or business meetings. They made splitting the check super easy which was super nice. Definitely worth the money and time ❤️

  • Review 98 (2021-11-08 - Rating: 5)

A very pleasent surprise. Group of 7 and all were pleased with their order. The smoky margarita was excellent. Not a huge space, outside seating available - at least on a cool November evening. A little loud, in a fun way. Our waitress was great and all staff seemed nice. If you are comfortable with the prices, recommended!

  • Review 99 (2022-04-10 - Rating: 4)

Excellent Jalapeño margaritas and welcoming staff. We hoped for cheese enchiladas, which we couldn’t find in walking distance of Time Square.

  • Review 100 (2022-11-13 - Rating: 4)

We are from out of town and this was near our hotel in Times Square. Absolutely the best restaurant we had during our weekend stay in NYC. Food was great! And the bartender Dominique (I hope I am getting his name right) was one of the more personable and better bartenders I’ve ever dealt with. Definitely recommend this place

Really good! Probably one of the best meals I had during my visit to NYC. Portions were ample, seasoning on point, and flavors were amazing. Service was pretty good, but I got the feeling theyre understaffed coming out of the pandemic. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Times Square area looking for a tasty, affordable meal.

Enjoyed a group dinner this weekend and we had a great time. Space was a little tight but the atmosphere was nice and the staff was kind. The food was delicious and there is a lot of variety of different food allergies and preferences.

The tacos are so good! We were 8 people and a toddler, we had a great time. Well come back for sure

  • Review 107 (2022-11-15 - Rating: 4)

Place is awesome! Nice atmosphere, polite stuff. Good food. First our taco was delicious, second one was good but not good as first one. If menu will be with pictures it will be easier to choose)

Excellent!!! Was looking for some good Mexican tacos while in NYC and found this place right off Times Square off 40th and Broadway. Small but nice layout. The nachos were INCREDIBLE!! I also had Cod, Smoky Chicken and Tuna tacos along with grilled corn. All we really tasty and delicious!!! Highly recommendPlease like if this post review was helpful. Enjoy!!

Really loved this place. Excellent tacos and rice bowls. I was there with the kids so I didnt sample any of the cocktails although they looked very good. The pulled pork rice bowl was especially good. The staff were helpful when it came to choosing milder ootions for the kids. I am definitely planning on going back without the little ones.

I recommend booking a timed reservation online before showing up at any Mexicue locations, its super easy and that way youre not left waiting. I find any restaurant in NYC to be super busy, but also going in off times helps. We got here around 1pm for our reservation, and sat down immediately outside. It really wasnt busy at all, even though we were there on a Saturday. The outdoor seating needs to be adjusted, we were whacked by the plastic liners the entire time we were out there, each time cars passed they blew around and even knocked over my water bottle. I understand the need for the liners, but they absolutely need to be secured to protect customers. Otherwise, we had a great experience and loved everything we had. The verde salsa was one of the best verdes Ive ever had, the mac and cheese was great, cornbread superb, and they do a good job on their bowls. Also, the drinks were perfect and had plenty of alcohol. Our waiter and waitress were super nice as well. Just hope to see them get the plastic liners fixed!

Tried many of the tacos and they were all delicious! Staff is super nice.

  • Review 114 (2018-04-07 - Rating: 4)

We got a table immediately and the service was fast, and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that our waiter did not clarify to us when happy hour had ended - he simply asked if we wanted another margarita, and then charged us full price (over twice as much) for the second round. Given that we didnt even have a happy hour menu at our table clarifying prices or hours, I found that disingenuous.

  • Review 115 (2024-06-09 - Rating: 5)

Found on our second day in NY, absolutely brilliant restaurant, staff really friendly, food fabulous.

  • Review 116 (2018-11-12 - Rating: 4)

Food was delicious. Had the guacamole and chips, pulled pork rice bowl, lobster tacos and avocado and chicken slider - all dishes were fresh and tasty - left the place really satisfied.Only downside was that the place was understaffed for a Saturday night. Waitresses were trying their best to attend but service was a bit slow.

    DELICIOUS AND AFFORDABLE!!

  • Review 118 (2021-07-02 - Rating: 5)

AMAZING! Different and amazing! Definitely recommend! I will be back too!

  • Review 119 (2018-05-02 - Rating: 4)

Service was very good! Drinks and food are good but not exceptional! Ive tried a bunch of different tacos and cocktails over few visits. Nothing to complain about, but also, nothing to particularly rave about. The specific location has too much of a coffee shop vibe.

  • Review 120 (2024-02-08 - Rating: 4)

Nice place to eat, European customers take note! Payment is not always possible, so make sure you have cash.

  • Review 121 (2018-11-25 - Rating: 4)

One of the better Mexican places to go to in NYC. For the price and the food, I thought it was fair. The drinks were $10-$11. The burrito was good. They were pretty generous with the chips and salsa. It’s a casual spot for decent food in a really touristy area. I’m glad we walked in and gave this place a try.

  • Review 122 (2019-01-23 - Rating: 5)

Really loved this location and their offerings! Came here with my cousin after work and was seated beside the window, adjacent to one-another. The food options are mixed, with a good selection to choose from. We ordered appetizers, the nachos, which were topped with black beans and queso. For the entree, I got a burrito-bullet, but opted for the larger size which was more filling.Definitely a great restaurant with competitive prices for New York.

  • Review 123 (2018-06-16 - Rating: 4)

Went there for lunch on a Saturday. Semi busy, service a little slow but food was good. Only problem the hot sause, which was NOT hot at all sadly.

  • Review 124 (2021-09-06 - Rating: 4)

It was my first time at Mexicue. But we decided to go there because my wife used to work near by and she would go there very often. We sat outside since the weather was nice. We ordered two drinks first. My wifes margarita was really good but.my mojito didnt have any alcohol at all so I asked the waiter to add some more tequila. She did not do it right away but after the second time I approached her she finally did. The food was fresh and delicious. If you need some extra sauce you got to ask the waiter. There was none on our table.

Good food, tasty drinks, and friendly service. The poblano queso and brisket enchiladas were delicious and generous portions. The space is WAY too packed. It was hard to get out and navigate through the tables.

  • Review 126 (2023-12-31 - Rating: 5)

Really tasty Mexican food. The restaurant has a nice big open space that makes the meal an enjoyable casual experience.Particularly recommend the taco salad with grilled chicken. Service was quick.

We are on vacation from Orlando, FL & are staying across the street. Your food was delicious, especially the nachos! Loved them so much...ordered a 2nd round! The restaurant is so quaint & has some really great vibes. Only downside was that we didn’t try it soon enough!

  • Review 128 (2021-05-13 - Rating: 4)

I visited Mexicue on 5 de mayo the wait was about 45 min to an hour. I went to Times Square and got back in time to be seated. The food was absolutely delicious i had a margarita with pineapple in it. I dont really like Margaritas but it had pineapple in it and it was tasty. The hostess was also very sweet on this hectic day she complimented my plaid pants. I will be returning. It gets 4 stars because of the wait.

  • Review 129 (2017-12-05 - Rating: 5)

Fun atmosphere and great food. Our server was awesome and made our table of visitors feel welcome and comfortable. We all had the daily drink special, several of them- it was also good. The only negative about the place is that the Google Maps directions were just awful! But its totally worth wandering around looking like a tourist to find it.

  • Review 130 (2020-02-19 - Rating: 4)

The food is amazing, esp the picadillo tacos. The place is always packed so plan to wait for a seat (its worth waiting, though, and you usually dont wait too long). Double check your bill though- they like to charge for 2 tacos instead of the plate. Its only a dollar difference, but its annoying. I still go, though. Theyre darn good tacos.

  • Review 131 (2019-05-03 - Rating: 4)

Food was delicious and filling. Paid $40 (tip included) for a nacho plate, bullet burrito, and jambalaya. Service was pleasant and helpful, but somewhat slow. To be fair, we were here on a packed Thursday night. There was also loud music playing. That and the crowd were enough to induce a mild headache. You may want to reconsider if youre looking for a quiet and intimate dining experience.

  • Review 132 (2021-06-28 - Rating: 4)

Visiting from Houston, Texas, my expectations were not high as Mexican food in NYC is usually bad compared to what Im used to, but this place was a nice surprise. I was in the mood for vegetarian tacos, and I ordered the avocado taco and the charred broccoli. We also ordered some chips and black bean dip. They were actually really good. Only took off one star cause service wasnt the best, but not bad enough to not return. I recommend trying if you are a vegetarian!

  • Review 133 (2019-12-20 - Rating: 5)

Gluten-free designations on the menu. I had delicious chicken tacos. They were a little small but fairly inexpensive. I had a very good mezcal based mixed drink (actually I had two.) It was mid week in December when I went for dinner and it was wicked crowed. I was able to find a spot in the window, but the groups of 3+ were in for a long wait. I would definitely go back.

  • Review 134 (2018-11-06 - Rating: 5)

Nice cozy place. Delicious tacos and good variety of options. Since they have small tacos, it’s easy to try different ones. We tried blackberry and house margaritas and both were very good.Very close to Bryant Park.

  • Review 135 (2019-12-29 - Rating: 4)

Small place but clean and made up for it with their awesome food. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartender was quick to start us with drinks but was pretty slow on followup drinks and clearing our empty plates. This was mainly due to him being the only bartender and making all of the drinks for everyone during happy hour. We had the grilled street corn, nachos w/ Mexicue chili, and the fancy radish chips with guacamole. All was delicious and had a wonderful taste. We had ordered the guacamole with jalapenos, however they either gave us regular guacamole or didnt put enough jalapenos in it to even get a hint of heat. Portion sizes were good too, not too big and felt adequately priced for happy hour.

  • Review 136 (2017-12-02 - Rating: 5)

Amazing experience, from the hostess to the waiter, who gave great recommendations and were very friendly.Great drinks (customisable if desired) and superb food! Definitely need to come and try them out while in New York city!!

  • Review 137 (2022-06-07 - Rating: 5)

We got lucky to get seated without a wait! Ordered some cocktails & tacos and all were delicious! The location we went to had great decor and ambience as well as friendly service. They make a great margarita! The menu is inclusive too, we were able to find good vegetarian + dairy free options and certain items were open to modifications.

  • Review 138 (2017-06-10 - Rating: 4)

The food is pretty excellent, especially the brisket anything with additional spicy BBQ sauce. The place is pretty cool too with a solid tequila selection. 1 star docked for not adequate setup for lunch hour rush.

Bar is happening. Great food. Happy, quick setting. Fashion district...where one often needs a quick martini or marg. Easy and happy.

  • Review 140 (2022-05-21 - Rating: 4)

Food was good. I got 3 different kinds of tacos. Brisket ones were the best in my opinion. Can be a little pricey but I think its worth it.

  • Review 141 (2023-03-29 - Rating: 5)

Delightful green and wood interior. Hibiscus passionfruit drink very well balanced - perfect spice to sweet, unlike every other drink that has pineapple in it, youre not hit over the head with pineapple. Garden guac was delicious and how wonderful to find fresh veggies! Servers were friendly and helpful. My only possible complaint could be that it was just so loud but what could I expect of a smallish full restaurant. The bar is 6 seat but they also have a 4 seat window bar.

If you happen to be stuck near Times Square and its past 9 p.m. this place is a good option. Prices are reasonable and the menu is varied. Tacos werent the usual boring fare but interesting and good. The drink menu has lots of tequila options.

This is a very nice Restaurant and bar. I was here for New Years Eve and had an wonderful time. There was Cuban band live music of very good quality, notably the singer/pianist. We were greated at the entrance by a very cheerful and nice doorman who helped us make our way in the crowd and even helped us order from the barman. I was a huge fan of the cocktails, very surprising and original. I never drank some like them. They had a lot of different spices in them. Very happy about my New Years Eve!

I almost never leave reviews ...even when an establishment deserves a 0 star. However, Mexicue earned my 5-star review! The wait staff was incredible and the food amazing! Thank you Mexicue for celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary with us. Could not have picked a better place to enjoy dinner with my wife and 3 kids! (Visiting from Michigan)

  • Review 154 (2018-08-31 - Rating: 5)

Ive been by this place before and didnt stop because the main board has only alcohol posted. This time they had a menu outside and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the pseudo tapas style approach to Mexican food. You could get a taco, burrito and slider sized perfectly for one person. Normally you order one or the other but not all three. They have some entree options as well. Burnt end chili nachos were a hit for my husband. My margarita was uniquely good. I really liked my jamburrito (hope I got that right). Ill be back in my next visit to NY!
