This place is a great bar. Its got a pretty good beer selection and wings and fries are some of the best in the whole city. The servers and bartenders are always nice, and theres always a good crowd. Its usually not too crowded though, just the right amount to where you feel normal. They have pretty decent specials, and the decor isnt anything to write home about but at least its comfortable and even has outdoors seating. Its a great neighborhood bar to hang out and have a few beers and wings.

This is the go-to sports bar for me and my friends since none of us can be bothered to pay for cable. The food here is casual but great quality. We love the buffalo wings, sweet potato fries, french onion soup, and chicken parm hero. Looking forward to coming back once we can dine inside among crowds again.

Solid bar with many TVs. Only been here late nights, but looks like a good place to watch football on Sundays. Bartenders offer good service. Decent selection of taps. Sidewalk tables if its nice out with TVs in the window as a nice touch. Right on second avenue.

Love this place, go early because tables fill up fast. Great food, excellent beer. Chris gave us free birthday shots! We are locals and go maybe once a week! I take all my friends visiting from out of town there. Try the ribs, wings, and Mac n cheese. All good dishes. The waitresses are nice and are all fantastic at their jobs

Great neighborhood sports bar with awesome wings (always crispy and well sauced), food, and beer. Wednesday wing night is the best. The place always has a good vibe and games are always on. Staff is great. This bar was homebase for me and my roommates when we lived in the city and we still go back whenever we can. Try the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich, burger, or blackened chicken if you want to get something besides the wings. Shout out to Chris (owner) and Orrie (server) for always doing a great job.

Really enjoyed the food, the portions, and the value at this place.Lots of TVs as well if youre looking to watch a game and they are on top of changing the channels too which is nice. Some places will leave a postgame show on for an hour before realizing a game is over. But this place was on top of when games ended and other games were starting.Service was fine. It seemed as though this place has a lot of regular customers as the servers seemed to fraternize with some customers they knew. And thats a good thing. I dont mind a server schmoozing with frequent customers and making them feel welcome. They just need to be cognizant of the non regular customers as well and be sure to make sure the other customers have everything they need before spending too much time at other tables.But overall, I had a good experience here and intend to return.

Great standard american sports bar. The food is fairly standard, but the atmosphere and staff and fantastic. The weekend bartender Big Mike does everything he can to curate a fun time for all. He rocks great tunes and will introduce you to all the characters of the neighborhood.

Come for the beers and stay for the wings! Best by far; order a plate of 16 cause 8 aint enough!! Definitely a jockular crowd the later it gets; but nightly weekday specials make it worth it to deal with occasional shot-swilling-bark-like-dogs sports fans. Best bar on the UES and doesnt make you feel like youre trapped with a bunch of dbags. Great music, always has the game on!

A very clean sleazy bar on 2nd Avenue. Has been there for decades. From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., all Mondays and Fridays. All well drinks are $5! Charlie is the nicest bartender on the upper East Side.

Great vibe, service, and selection.The French Onion soup was tasty. The burger was large and came with fries, however the meat itself felt standard and not exciting. For $11.95 it’s a good deal but I’d rather pay a little more and get a better blend of meat. Overall it’s not a bad dish but would likely not order it again.Will be back next time I’m around. Overall good place.

I’m not sure it’s utterly fair to say something about this place based on my Saturday evening visit, but the service was slow—if not unbearable, and their famous wings tasted somewhere between okay and disappointing. It was still a enjoyable experience thanks to the superb quality beer and the amiable servers who try hard to run the tables sane.

I haven’t been to Rathbones in quite a while and remembered their delicious hamburgers. We went last night and the hamburgers are still delicious plus I was thrilled with the amount of french fries on our plates! The Halloween decor is terrific as well as the waitress service. I’d give it five stars but the noise level got incredibly loud.We returned to eat our still delicious hamburgers at 4 pm yesterday and the restaurant was not noisy at all. We had great waitress service and now I would give 5 stars!

Wednesday wing night gets crowded though, go early if you dont want to wait. the BEST part about it is that you can choose buffalo, bbq or MIXED sauce (the best option in my opinion). ALSO, if you prefer one wing type over the other, they will accommodate - unheard of. its the details that make all the difference :-)

I like this bar in the UES for its casual crowd and the cheap drinks. The bouncer seems to always be nice and the patrons kind of do their own thing. They play a mix of 90s, 80s, and whatever is on the playlist. Its not a bad place to start off the night. $7 for cranberry vodka and $10 shots why not. I never knew there were so many bars in the UES. My impression changed since exploring the neighborhood. Its easy to frequent here because of their cheap drinks and laid back crowd. Be sure to check them out during the day, they have the front patio available for some day drinking.

Youve gotta come for Wings Wednesday! Its like a sea of wangs! Table after table with mounded platters of wings. Its a sight to see!We got two platters of extra crispy, medium heat wings. Thought the sauce singed my nose hairs at first, it wasnt too hot for my tastebuds. They really hit the spot.I dont know how I finished the burger. They come with perfect thin, crispy fries. Their burgers are served on a soft English muffin if thats your thing. Its mine.The brunch menu is up till 5pm. Primo.Theres outdoor seating with its own TV. Pretty sweet in the lovely weather we had that day. Stop looking at the cute football players, Stacey!Its great neighborhood spot that I wish I had on the UWS.... I know, Im always complaining about that. Well, its not fair! Every neighborhood needs a Rathbones!
