The food was absolutely delicious. The service was a 10/10. We even arrived a bit early for our reservation and expected to wait, but the host sat us immediately. They were very kind and hospitable! The atmosphere is very elegant and clean. My ONLY drawback for the entire visit is that the tables are pretty much on top of one another. It feels like you are dining with the people next to you, not super great. Otherwise, the ambiance was great! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious night out in the city. -

Top notch across the board. The service staff from the waiters, to bus boys and gals were detailed and attentive (the maitre d was stuffy and dismissive, the New York attitude, but that was the only issue. He is lucky to have a job frankly). The food was spot on to the strip steak and crispy tasty fries, for he Pork chop with Pineapple reduction, the lemon chicken was perfectly cooked and tasty as was the gnocchi. Mushroom side was delicious, as was the giant asparagus onion soup and escargots and when two of my escargots shells were empty, they immediately brought a new one. Top marks for that. Wine server was also top shelf as was the prosecco. Then the perfect and most delicious creme brulee and the extraordinary Opera cake. Top marks again. When asked about but allergies they knew exactly what to look for as well as finding green tea when one was not in the menu. It is such a pleasure to enjoy the atmosphere of the Plant Room and cheekiness of the French play on words being from Montreal and being bilingual, but the bird paintings wrapped it all up. Go. Enjoy. Yes it is pricey, but for so many restaurants in Manhattan that are pricey and dont deliver in food / service / or venue, when one does, enjoy it! -

Quality Bistro is by far the gem in the Quality series of restaurants (Quality Italian & Quality Meats). While the French influence is clear across the menu, Quality Bistro remains approachable for diners of all preferences. The dining room is spacious without losing its intimate appeal and is ideal for anything from a corporate meeting to a special occasion. While I have been several times and thoroughly enjoyed dishes such as the lamb chops, roasted chicken, and Salmon, the butter service was a one of a kind experience. Accompanied by an assortment of fresh sourdough bread, meats and vegetables, a mound of butter is seasoned tableside before being presented to patrons. While certainly not something that the cardiologist would recommend, it is a unique offering that is a must try.If you are in midtown and looking for a great meal, quality Bistro lives up to its name. -

We chose Quality Bistro to celebrate my Moms birthday and it was PERFECT. I noted on the reservation about the birthday and they wrote my Mother a personalized card and it was on the table when we arrived. The sommelier recommended an incredible bottle of red that paired perfectly with what we ordered and our server Karla was a 10/10. She was attentive, genuine, friendly, and gave great recommendations for apps and mains. The whole staff was wonderful. The vibes were fun. The food was SPECTACULAR. -

The staff and the food were off the charts. My wifes birthday dinner and they were over the top. Menu is outstanding - I wish I could have tried. All of the dishes. Amazing. Thank you for creating such a special evening for us. -

I came here for brunch on Easter Sunday. We walked in and were able to grab a couple seats at the bar. The interior of this place is such a vibe! Very beautiful, buzzy without being scene-y and so bright and airy. I ordered the Bistro Spritz, which was very bright and refreshing. For my meal, I ordered the French Onion Burger which was good. My only complaint is that it was a little dry; I had to add mustard to it. Our bartender was very nice and the service was great.Even though I didn’t order it this time around, if you’re thinking of doing the Butter Service, just do it! It’s so good. But be warned that it’s a lot of food, so don’t order it unless you’re super hungry (or with a large group). Can’t wait to visit here again. -

We stopped in for a quick meal last weekend. The decor was breathtaking, the service was amazing, and the food was tasty! The restaurant was very clean, and the food was well plated! Definitely a must-visit! -

Guys i LOVE THIS PLACE. look at my cleaned plate that should tell u everything you need to know. i got the branzino this time and it was PHENOMENAL. flavor 10/10, it was buttery soft and warm. just incredible. we always get the butter service and that is also amazing. the ONLY qualm i have is that the bathroom is down stairs and it’s a hike but it’s okay, you can burn off all of the food you eat.other recommendations are: crab cake, salmon, filet, many other things that i can’t remember -

We came back a second time while in NYC. Amazing atmosphere, great place to stop at before a play in the theater district. Ask for Milton as a waiter - such over-the-top service and our expectations were high. We will definitely be back! -
Review 10 (2024-04-05 - Rating: 5)
All I had here was raspberry sorbet at 11 in the morning as I had breakfast but others in our party didnt have breakfast and wanted an early lunch. The sorbet was good with real mashed in raspberries. But it had an odd pistachio sauce on top that didnt taste like much of anything. My friend also had some kind of apple crisp dessert with vanilla ice cream and lime gelato. He thought it was very good but it was quite large. Everyone else had French onion soup and a burger with fries. They all were happy. The service was fine but a little slow. That said, its got a beautiful atmosphere. Id definitely give this place a try. -
Review 11 (2024-10-21 - Rating: 5)
We stopped in tonight to try their French onion soup. We heard it was the best in NYC. It was definitely one of the best I’ve had. I would go back again even if it was just for the French onion soup. -
Review 12 (2024-04-26 - Rating: 5)
Have you ever had a dish that makes you rethink its ingredients, matched with service that made you question why you don’t go somewhere more often? The experience we received at Quality Bistro last night outshined every other experience we’ve had there before and put up a hard argument for best service we’ve received as well. From Sarah at the door to our server Nelson, to the manager Ed and guest relations Jamie, everyone was kind and generous with their time, and extremely high level in their positions. We started by noting how BEAUTIFUL the venue is - our 5pm dining was accented by green indoors and out, and as the evening progressed and the sun went down, the lightning and energy of the room began to drip with colorful, vibrant tones. We started with two vesper martinis, then moved into white wine glasses and finished with a bottle of red burgundy. All delicious. As for our meal, we knew we’d be over-ordering and the staff let us know to take it slow but we were too excited! Great hospitality once again. This is a saga of a meal. For appetizers, we ordered two caviar sliders, the yellowtail hamachi, and the spicy caesar salad (one of our all-time favorites). The sliders were buttery, as was the bread it came on, and the caviar itself was creamy and briny - perfect. For the yellowtail, Nelson rightly told us to get every flavor on the plate into each bite: raspberry sauce, olive oil, and almond slices gave perfect balance to the fatty tuna and created the perfect bite. The spicy caesar was delicious as always - sumac and lemon garnish are essential to mix into the dish. For entrees, we got the cacio e pepe to share, I took the filet surf and turf (rare temp), and my partner got the daily special of black truffle lobster toast. We also got the sunchoke pave, the brussel sprouts, and the corn brûlée sides, all of which we’ve loved before. My filet was cooked perfectly rare, and when I tell you that the lobster croissant changed me as a person I mean it wholeheartedly. A buttery croissant stuffed with beautifully cooked lobster, and enough buttery flavor to work with both and connect the flavors in a natural way. My partner thought the lobster toast was lovely as well, perfectly cooked but it may have needed more sauce and was a tad difficult to eat. Flavor-wise, it was wonderful. For dessert, once again way too much but that’s what boxes are for! We got the salted caramel gateau, the espresso creme brûlée, and the mousse au chocolat. The brûlée and the mousse were great, but the caramel gateau was other-worldly. Rich, creamy, salty, and super addictive. I wish I’d had more room to eat it all. As we finished the evening, we both agreed that this was the best experience we’d had at QB, and we already had incredible experiences in the past. We can’t wait to come back and see the restaurant continue to succeed in everything we’ve known them to succeed at before, while improving and expanding on their classics and introducing new ideas as well. Thank you Ed, Jamie, Nelson, and Sarah for the incredible night! -

Has to be one of my favorite places to eat in NYC. Had some great servers and great food. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating letting us and our other family friends next to our table hang out. Huge shout out for the diver scallops and the corn creme brulee is just awesome -
Review 14 (2024-04-07 - Rating: 5)
I recently enjoyed a delightful late dinner at a French restaurant. Seated at the bar, the attentive bartender recommended a delicious wine to pair with our selection of escargot, carpaccio, and burger. The combination of flavors was exquisite, and we had an absolute blast savoring the exceptional cuisine in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. A memorable dining experience that I highly recommend! -

The food and atmosphere are amazing!!! The service is amazing. Jamie the manager is the best. The best hospitality, the best vibes, the best service. The place to come to celebrate your birthday. Next time you are in NYC make the res, you won’t regret it. -

We ordered probably half the menu and every single dish was stellar. Fantastic meal from beginning to end. From the moment we walked through the door the hospitality and service was top tier. Will absolutely be returning. Thanks for a great meal. -

Review 18 (2024-03-15 - Rating: 5)
One of the absolute best restaurants in the city. The chicken is among the best and the whiskey a la orange is an incomparable cocktail. Can’t find it anywhere else- can’t remake it.Ambience is absolutely exceptional and almost all items are at least good (Dover sole) to very good (most of the apps) to excellent (French onion soup and chicken). For the best chain in the city- go to Quality- it’s aptly named. -
Review 19 (2024-04-08 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely delicious food - will have to come back to try the butter service but was so impressed with everything we ate. Started with the crab cake and avocado-Bibb salad.Had the salmon and branzino as our entrees, with the mushrooms on the side. The salmon skin was so crispy and I’m still thinking about the branzino’s flavor 5 days later. -

Came to quality bistro and had the ABSOLUTE BEST service ever. Adrien and his staff treated me and my girls with such care and we had the best time! The food was FABULOUS! Drinks were also great and we would recommend to any of our friends! Coming from out of town we didn’t know what to expect, but we were blown away. 10/10 will be coming back again!! -

Brunch was great. I look forward to experiencing dinner very soon. One thing, though, is that the reception should be a little more welcoming. Thankfully, the waitstaff is awesome! -
Review 22 (2022-04-17 - Rating: 4)
Update: we recently returned for martinis, oysters and butter service in the bar and the experience was fantastic; deserving of five ⭐️.Previously (3 ⭐️): We’ve heard such wonderful things about the Butter Service and couldn’t wait to try. The buildout is lovely - a refined French setting with all the standard menu items. Unfortunately, the service was more like what you’d expect at a diner. The Butter Service is done table side and the spread is beautiful. When taking photos and video of the presentation, our server was so awkward and concerned about her face being in the photos, that she stopped and dodged making the whole experience awkward (when she should have understood that it wasn’t about her at all). As a consequence, she was unfriendly and aloof towards us for most of the evening. The spread covered the entire 2-top, so we asked that she hold off on the other appetizers, and this may have been the reason that the escargot was only warm when it was delivered. On the bright-side, the Spicy Caesar was very good. The steak frites were over-cooked, so we sent it back and asked for it to be sliced before it was delivered. It was not, so we had to ask again. When finally received it (the way it was ordered), it was actually very good. During all those commotion, the server finally warmed up and offered us complimentary wine for our wait, which we thought was a nice touch. So, in the end, the experience was somewhat redeemed, but very disappointing as we had high expectations. -
Review 23 (2024-09-22 - Rating: 5)
The wait staff and managers are very attentive to their guess. The food was divine and full of flavor. My 11-year-old son had a great time , and I feel its more if an adult place to eat, but they made him feel super special. Great place and great job. Will return. -
Review 24 (2024-11-21 - Rating: 5)
The menu shines with dishes like the tender and flavorful steak frites and the decadent lobster pasta. Every bite reflects quality and attention to detail. Desserts like the chocolate soufflé are a perfect way to end the meal. Our server, Romano, was exceptional. Attentive, knowledgeable, and warm, he ensured that every detail of our dining experience was flawless. From thoughtful menu recommendations to perfectly timed service, Romano elevated the evening and left a lasting impression.Quality Bistro is a must-visit, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Romano as your server! -
Review 25 (2021-07-04 - Rating: 5)
My boyfriend and I went last night to celebrate our anniversary. We were beyond impressed with impeccable service as well as the incredible food. Our server went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing and enjoyable time. Besides replacing my broken glass, he also brought complimentary dessert and champagne which was over the top and immensely appreciated. Definitely worth a visit. -
Review 26 (2024-08-08 - Rating: 5)
Managed to get a table here and the service was fantastic. Our server was super friendly and our food was excellent. Dover sole, strip steak frites, chocolate mousse were all perfect. We didn’t do the table side butter service but saw it ordered by everyone around us and it looked absolutely stunning. Definitely a must try if you’re in midtown. -
Review 27 (2023-06-26 - Rating: 5)
10/10 highly recommend dining at Quality Bistro. The food was incredible, the staff was attentive and ambiance is amazing! Truly a dining experience like no other and great place to celebrate a special occasion. Definitely try the French onion soup, Bibb lettuce avocado salad and get the butter service!! -

One of the BEST meals and dining experiences I have had in a very long time. From the butter service which dear lord was amazing, to the array of decadent dessert everything was well prepared and tasted divine. Our server was knowledgeable, outgoing and attentive. The meal was paced perfectly. Thank you Luis R. For an amazing meal with my family. -
Review 31 (2021-05-31 - Rating: 5)
I had walked past this restaurant and it looked so beautiful that I decided to make reservations without looking at the menu. When I was finally seated and saw the menu, I figured this was overly expensive, fancy, tiny portioned food but our waiter Edmar was amazing!!! He went over the menu in detail, had great recommendations and was incredibly charismatic. Every single dish that came out was phenomenal!! Rich flavors, beautiful presentation and filling portions. I can’t wait to go back!!! It’s definitely on the pricey side but sooooo worth every single penny! Also we were told there’s a special 3-course meal special worth checking out after 8:30pm. Highly highly recommend. -
Review 32 (2024-12-02 - Rating: 5)
Never know what you’re going to get in New York, but this is worth every penny. It was spectacular from beginning to end the food the service the staff, the location I can’t recommend it any higher. -
Review 33 (2021-10-16 - Rating: 4)
Such a beautiful restaurant (love all the plants and big tree). For starters - We ordered the oysters (east coast) that tasted fresh and the cabbage and blue cheese salad with pecans which was fantastic. For main I got the salmon which was good but overpriced to what you actually get and my friends had the Sirloin steak and loved it. We also got fries . Service was extremely slow and we’ve waited for the food for a long time. The waiter notice that and offered us the dessert for free, which was nice of him. -
Review 34 (2023-09-25 - Rating: 5)
Really enjoyed this place, from the decor and design. Each area really encapsulates a high end bistro from the south of France. The food was great quality but the service is something else! -
Review 35 (2023-06-20 - Rating: 5)
Without a doubt, sit in the bar with the arched mirror and start with the el diablo cocktail. At our table we ordered the butter service, which was decadent. The tuna tartar starter is delicious. You cant go wrong with the Chateaubriand flambee. If youre looking for a side dish and dessert in one, definitely get the corn creme brulee. The service was excellent. I cant wait to go back.________________🌏Weight Loss Motivation Blogger.🔥Impressive Weight Loss. Brilliant service. Excellent food. The butter service is quite a treat and such a generous portion. -
Review 39 (2024-11-15 - Rating: 5)
Big, bustling and loud restaurant - I had to shout all night to converse. But the food was excellent at, for New York, reasonable prices. Although I am still not sure about the $38 “butter service”.Our chateaubriand was percent cooked, and the surf and turf was interesting in that the “surf” was served in a pretzel croissant! The green beans were nice and the fries tasty but I found their “crème brûlée corn” pricy at $18.I will say I found the hostesses a bit brusque but the servers were super nice. -

Impeccably decorated restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. Everything we ordered was fantastic. The escargot was exceptional as were the lamb chops and scallops. -

An absolute asset to Quality Bistro.Highly Recommend the Following:- Spicy Caesar - Deliciously Different & not comparable to any other Caesar.- French Onion Soup - Nothing Compares to the Flavor & Texture.- Lemon Roasted Chicken - Superbly Cooked with Awesome Flavors.- Corn Crème Brûlée - Incredibly different * Must Have with Lemon Roasted Chicken.- Mousse Au Chocolate - Rich Texture and Flavor Stunning.- Raspberry Sorbet - Such a Clean Flavor.** Try Mousse Au Chocolate and Raspberry Sorbet together ** -

Nice fine dining. I ordered the Filet Mignon China which comes with very interesting mini croissants filled with blue cheese. I didn’t die for the sprouts as they were a little burned to my taste. Fantastic service, the server was always checking us in. The ambiance is elegant but casual at the same time.Pistacho Creme Brûlée is such a creative a delicious dessert. -

Went for a birthday dinner and was not disappointed! The birthday dessert they serve (which I didnt know before ordering another dessert) was super fun and absolutely delicious. As for the other dessert, I 100% recommend getting Ice Cream Cake Au Citron! It was one of the best cakes Ive ever had. -
Review 44 (2024-03-11 - Rating: 5)
Highlight of our trip to NYC! Me and my best friend went in on Saturday evening, and then dined again the night after on Sunday. The restaurant’s vibes were amazing! The staff members were great to us. Really felt like a family. Everything about the food was amazing, well priced too. Unfortunately there was “the incident” that happened the second night we were to there. One of the employees (management) forced us out of the bar area (as we were learning about Claire & her voyage to Montreal recently) and directed us to our table, and later told us that “people need to feel safe here” and quickly left our table without giving us a chance to dicuss this accusation. The said person never came to our table after that to explain their statement. Not only my friend is a transit officer, but I work for a software company that literally keeps New York City safe. I found their accusation to be unjustified and I would love to have a conversation with that person next time I am in town (because I will definitely head back there.) I rated 5/5 regardless of “the incident” because of folks like Danie, Claire, Sarah (with an “h”), Jade, and others. They were all amazing and lovely folks. I learned so much about them and their passions. Danie taught me how a New Yorker would pronounce words like “coffee” or “caught.” She works hard and I am glad we shared great stories with her. God bless Danie’s family (+ French dog), looking forward to talk further with Claire next time about her voyage to Montreal, and I do hope Sarah gets to the opportunity to explore her passion furthermore. As I said, we will return next time we are in town. Take care and enjoy x.🫶💛 -

Went there to grab lunch before seeing a show at the New York City Center. Overall it was an incredible experience. The staff was courteous and attentive, even while hosting a bridal/wedding party at a nearby table. The cocktails were nicely balanced, and the Moroccan fried chicken for two was amazing. Delicious flavors with a nice variety of dippings. Would definitely go back! -

Espresso Crème brûlée is absolutely incredible. One of the best I’ve ever had. The butter service is also a staple of theirs that I highly recommend, butter is extremely creamy and delicious, comes with delightful sides, like marinated leeks with Dijon on top which are very good. Macaroni and cheese is another specialty, it has a unique taste, perfectly creamy and cheesy. The lemon roasted chicken is another dish we tried and loved! The meat is tender and perfectly cooked, the rosemary and lemon combination makes it perfect! Another important aspect is how excellent the service is! Waiters are the friendliest I’ve seen in the city (if you know you know) absolutely loved the person that took care of us, food also came relatively quickly, but also wasn’t rushed to finish appetizers or anything. The interior design of the space is also absolutely perfect, the layout, the materials, the colors, the atmosphere! Overall highly highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area! Loved this place we will definitely be back!! -

My husband booked this as a surprise for my daughter and I while visiting NYC. OH MY GOD! You must try the French onion soup and the butter service is a must but make sure you come hungry! We shared the chateaubriand and the corn crème brûlée and it was the best I have ever had. The Nutella opera cake was so moist but HUGE! -

First and foremost Id like to thank our hostess Jamie for the warm welcome! She was kind, soft spoken, and greeted us as if we were family. What a start to a long and necessary date night for the wife and I!We asked our waiter Yuri for his recommendations and he was spot on! We had the lobster truffle toast and crab cakes to start and wow... our taste buds had a party of their own! Absolutely delicious! We then had the rib-eye for two (but its big enough for 4!) with mushrooms, corn crème brûlée, and mash potato. Cooked to perfection! My tiny wife was excited to have it the next day knowing we werent eating half of it lol. For dessert we had the pistachio crème brûlée! Please get all of the above! Everything we had was 11 out of 10 here!Saving the best for last. Please see to it that youre served by Yuri! He was attentive to all our needs, his recommendations were on point, overall incredible service and I cant imagine our night ending on such a high note without him! From Shanta and I, thank you Jamie, Yuri, and Quality Bistro for a night to remember. We cant wait to come back! -

I wanted to go to this restaurant for a while after reading about their butter service and seeing the lovely pictures. Decided to go for my birthday and it was perfect. The food, service, and the outdoor seating (quite private). There was a little hiccup – a couple of the meals were extremely spicy and one of us was unable to eat it. The scallops were so spicy and nowhere in the menu it mentions that it is spicy. We spoke with our server (Connor, he was amazing) and he was very helpful and replaced with another main entrée that was perfect. They also gave me a complimentary sundae for my birthday – thank you. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back. -

One of the most beautiful restaurants to have lunch at in NYC. And, the food effortlessly matched the environment. We had escargot (the best escargot we’ve ever had! Although a little tricky handle 😆) Absolutely have to mention the french fries, they were top notch. Lastly, we had the hamburger and I hate to sound like a broken record, but was probably the best we’ve ever had as well! Quality Bistro is a quick walk to Central Park; highly recommend before (or after). Can’t wait to return! -

I had the pleasure of visiting Quality Bistro post-Covid shortly after the city reopened. I brought my closest friend to New York for her birthday and, after extensive consultation with the concierge, we decided to give QB a try. That particular visit left a lasting impression on me, serving as a motivating factor to ensure I returned when the opportunity presented itself. It was a delightful experience last Friday evening to share the same outing with my husband, and this time they exceeded all expectations! Every aspect of our visit was flawless! We started at the bar where Kiwan prepared the best Last Word cocktail Ive had in a long time. He was engaging and quickly picked up on my southern accent, leading to a seamless conversation. He is truly exceptional and he set the perfect tone for the evening. Transitioning to our table, Kaz, Saul, and Alexandra attended to our every need, leaving us wanting not.If there is one thing you must do during your visit to QB, it is to order the Butter Service. I assure you, you will not be disappointed. For our main course, my husband opted for the scallops, while I enjoyed the table-side fillet au poivre and as I recall, we were served a corn Creme Brulé that was divine! The entire vibe with the lighting, decor, and overall ambiance is just spot on! -

4.4 stars, rounded down to 4. Walk in Sunday night -no wait. Got lucky cause after us, there was a short wait for tables. Lovely decor. Lounge-y music. Definitely more of a trendy IG type place than a neighborhood French bistro. Had the Spicy Bird drink in the iconic bird glass. Playful way to start a meal. It had some zip. Not bad at all. I’m an experienced drinker but this drink got me feeling a tad happy. Stronger than I anticipated. Dining partner got the Spritz despite the cold weather to cleanse their mouth of the buildup of a day’s worth of coffee and snacking. Butter service was nice bit of restaurant theatrics. But they should mix the butter after they add the shallots, salt and spices cause when we took from the top of the butter, we got all the salt and the second serving got no salt. He accompanying ham was lovely. It was quite filling and we did not finish that lovely, rich butter -I wish we could have taken that home in a doggie bag. We got the cacio e pepe pasta either truffles, steak frites and scallops. Scallops with fresh peas was marvelous. Steak was tad chewy and the fries were cooked to well done. It was crisp but slightly overcooked for my preference. I shouldn’t have gotten a pasta dish at a French bistro. It was fine but a restaurant of this calibre and price point, it should be great and it wasn’t. Truffles had little flavor. It added almost no umami to the dish. All in all, an enjoyable meal, friendly service and a nice night out -but not quite spectacular so no 5 stars. -

Quality Bistro is an incredible French restaurant with wonderfully delicious dinner options. Highlights include the must-try butter service, black truffle cacio e pepe, and filet mignon. The staff is exceptionally friendly, making for a delightful dining experience!I also arrived without a reservation, but the lady at the front desk around 5:30 PM on November 6th went above and beyond to accommodate us. She was not only kind but also very professional. I completely forgot her name, but she was tall and blonde. Thank you so much to her for making our visit special! -

Great restaurant with potential to be absolutely amazing.Pros:-Ambiance is beautiful-Delicious escargot, mac and cheese, and mushrooms-Good tuna tartare (simple, smaller but tasty)-Pretty large portion sizes overall-Strong cocktails-Nice serverCons:-Butter board is pretty for posting but could be so much better, the sides it comes with are underwhelming and random.-Filet mignon carpaccio was not good, it was tough to even cut through-No one refilled our water during the meal unless we asked-Nutella dessert was a great size for sharing, but I found it insanely sweet and it did not taste like Nutella. -

We couldn’t be happier w our experience here. It’s expensive but they totally came through on our late dinner. We almost bailed when they told us the kitchen “hard closes” at ten for our 930 reservation but they stayed open for us! Our final food order went in at 10:28 and my steak anyway was perfection. Thank you to our server the manager and the kitchen folks for making our special night perfect. I will be back and I will be singing their praises for some time. Get the street cabin! -

Strip steak frites - Nice charring on the steak, good crust on the edges and good texture overall. High quality steak. Very well seasoned. Fries are very good as well, crisp on the edges, a bit of chew and just the right level of greaseTruffle lobster toast - creamy, cheesy, good garlic butter sauce. Everything worked really well -

Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The food was amazing, and the French menu had a nice variety of options. The steak was a bit chewy, but the rest of the food was great. The service was fast, but not necessarily the friendliest. Quality Bistro is definitely not the cheapest place, but the quality of the food and atmosphere is certainly there. -

We came here on a weekday for lunch without a booking and were seated right away. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. I’ve heard so much about the French onion soup and the corn creme brûlée that we just had to make a special trip to come here - we were definitely not disappointed! For starters, we got the French onion soup and the crab cake. My husband loved the crab cake but I thought it was okay for the price it was. However, the French onion soup blew my mind. It’s the best one I’ve had yet and I’ve had many! It’s loaded with tons of cheese and the soup is luxurious. I’d come back just for the soup. For the mains, my husband got the French onion burger which was pretty big and was really well made. He loved it. I tried to be a bit healthy and got the grilled branzino that the waiter recommended. Sadly we found the branzino quite underwhelming (esp for $48) and ended up bringing it home for dinner because I hate wasting food. 😕 The upside was that I got the corn creme brûlée as a side to my main and THAT was soooo good. I’d never had a corn creme brûlée before and now I can’t stop thinking about it!Finally, for dessert, my husband can never turn down a chocolate mousse. I’m not a huge fan of chocolate mousse in general, but holy moly this was the best one I’ve ever had, and my husband agrees! The chocolate is so rich and dense that I can’t help wanting more. The presentation is a big ugly, scooped and plopped onto a dish, but who cares when it tastes this bloody good!Overall, we highly recommend coming here, with our favourites being the French onion soup, the corn creme brûlée and the chocolate mousse - just skip the branzino. -

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience at Quality Bistro! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere radiated warmth and elegance. We were immediately welcomed by our hostess, Jess, who made us feel incredibly welcomed and cared for. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the food they serve. Each staff member we interacted with were wonderful, but I really have to sing Jess praises. She checked in with our table often to make sure we were doing well.Lets talk about the food—every dish was a masterpiece. I cannot recommend the corn crème brûlée enough! Its SO good. The Cacio e Pepe was fantastic and the butter service is a necessity. Seriously, every time I come here I have to get the butter service for our table. Its delicious! The wine selection is extensive and thoughtfully curated; the cocktails are fun and exquisite, and the overall vibe is phenomenal.Quality Bistro truly lives up to its name, delivering an exceptional dining experience that combines exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and a charming ambiance. We left with our hearts and stomachs full, already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 -

A fantastic experience here at QB. We came in around 615ish without a reservation looking for a bite to eat. They were busy but the hostess said we can seat you if you can be out by 730. We said well take it.By the time our server greeted us she knew the time crunch and promised she would serve us quick enough to get us out but not feel rushed and that is exactly what she did. Service was excellent. Food was even better. Had the yellowtail crudo and escargot to start with a wedge salad and pork porterhouse. Everything cooked to perfection. Wrapped it up with some chocolate mousse and raspberry sorbet. Our server suggested we try them together and now I can never eat one without the otherAll in all a great dinner night. Go with confidence -

Extraordinary service and delicious food, beautiful setting and decor. Came here with a friend for her birthday dinner, received star treatment from the moment we entered, including a birthday card and champagne to start the evening, and the most attentive and warm hospitality that one could expect (and actually, even more than expected). Jamie greeted us at the door, and checked on us a few times, then made sure that we were enjoying ourselves (she is delightful!) Hector was our server and he was also friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the escargots, pork porterhouse and salmon, all very well cooked and seasoned. To finish, we were surprised with a nice little scoop of birthday-candle decorated ice cream and even the birthday song, to accompany our shared opera cake which was so, so good. The space is airy, tables are nicely spaced and decor is a little eclectic and funkier than one might expect in this neighborhood. This is not a budget pick, but my good lord, is it worth it! Still savoring the memory a few weeks later. :) -

The butter service lived up to its Instagram expectation - be prepared to put butter on everything!Their French classics like the onion soup, steak frites, and escargot were great. We also got the branzino and scallops - can’t go wrong with any of the food! And the spicy Caesar salad was exceptionally delicious -

A Mostly Delightful Evening at Quality Bistro Thanksgiving evening.I recently visited Quality Bistro in New York City and had a largely positive experience. The restaurant impressed us with its exceptional food and perfect atmosphere, suitable for both a special occasion and a casual outing. They were very accommodating to our large party, which added to the comfort and enjoyment of our evening. Our main waiter, Luis, was a standout. He was attentive, engaging, and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we had a great dining experience. His service was a highlight of the evening, and his attentiveness to our needs made us feel valued and well cared for. However, our experience was not entirely flawless. We had college-aged children and younger ones in our group, who were attended to by a separate waiter. Unfortunately, this part of our group did not receive the same level of service. The waiter assigned to them seemed disinterested and did not check on them as frequently as needed. This lack of attention made their dining experience less enjoyable, which was a noticeable contrast to the excellent service the rest of our group received.Despite this inconsistency in service, the overall experience at Quality Bistro was great. The food was truly remarkable, and the ambiance of the place added to the charm of our evening. I would recommend Quality Bistro for its culinary delights and fantastic atmosphere, with the hope that the service is uniformly excellent for all patrons in the future. -

Solid French bistro in a beautiful room. The Quality group of restaurants are consistently excellent and their produce is always great. Their food presentation is over the top and insta worthy. Waiters are all solid and the front staff are professional but a little cold. They would benefit from having a warm manager on location. -

We were celebrating a special birthday for my aunt and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. The hostess and waitstaff greeted her with a “happy birthday” and the manager presented a handwritten birthday card. The meal was amazing from classic dishes like escargot and pasta bourguignon to a perfectly moist and toasty crab cake with a side of asparagus in a delicious lemon sauce. Don’t miss their signature “butter service”…it’s a meal unto itself (the marinated leeks accoutrement could be a stand-alone appetizer)! We ended with an espresso crème brûlée and a beautiful birthday dessert presentation of cookies and “buttercream” service! Looking forward to our next visit to explore more classic and creative French inspired cuisine! -

Me, my Fiancé, and one of her good friends went to Quality Bistro right before going to a Broadway show a couple blocks away. We have heard a lot about the restaurant and made a reservation well in advance. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Very decorative and regal. Our server was good but had a lot of other tables to tend to. We try a bunch of their menu options and shared everything. The hardest thing to share was French Onion Soup. On top of the images below, we also tried Filet Mignon which was great. For the quality of food we received I believe the overall total bill can only partially be justified. It was a wonderful experience but the food did not stand out to me. The ambiance and the feel of the restaurant did. -

This is one of 3 restaurants owned by the same owner (Quality Meats and Quality Italian), and as in the other two, the distinctive characteristics are classy setting and very good food. In case of this place- the French food. As we stopped by in the middle of the day for a quick bite, I didnt have a chance to dine there. We simply had our food at the bar area. But I really like it and definitely will be back for the full experience. -

To be honest, after 1 hour waiting for our table despite making a reservation, and with the host/coat person acting annoyed at me leaving a small carry on in the coat room; I was planning on making a poor review. But this quickly turned around when someone on the floor (manager) brought over complementary butter services and ham for our parties due to the wait. The service was great with a very attentive and amiable waiter (wish I caught his name!) , and incredibly excellent food. We really appreciated the help with wine pairings as well! Wonderful and special experience. -

I was invited for dinner by one of my sons. Everything was like expected starting with the meat which was perfect. You boast being a French restaurant but there I have my doubts. Youre playing around with French words but it isnt reflected in some of your dishes. Your selection of sauces is rather limited (your peppercorn sauce has nothing to do with a sauce au poivreand was very disappointing and I wish I hadnt ordered it.) I would have expected a roquefort sauce with my meat but there wasnt any. And the side of watercress could have been improved with some vinaigrette). Now the deserts, one of my sons ordered a chocolate mousse (the French mousse means foam , but what he got looked like concrete and belonged to the building industry not a restaurant like yours). As to my desert, the floating island was delicious but not a floating island the French way. I dont know what the island was made of but it was not meringue. This being said, overall the five of us enjoyed our meals, but please, be honest and dont call your restaurant French and stop playing around with French words that dont make any sense and border ridicule -
Review 97 (2024-02-16 - Rating: 4)
The bread and butter experience was delicious but waaaay too much butter for two people. Maybe if there were four of us it would be an appropriately sized portion. The caviar slider was ok, I would prefer a finer caviar and no champagne instead. French onion soup was cheesy and the broth was delicious. Overall the food was very decadent, the price was a bit too high, the experience was fit for a special occasion but dinner lacked a cohesive feel. Perhaps it was because the food didnt come out in courses and was a bit too TikTok forward for my taste. Overall, very nice though. -

This well-known French food restaurant in New York offers a brilliant gastronomic experience, with a classic atmosphere without forgetting the chaoticity of this city. Distributed in small half-light rooms, it also has terraces. It is very crowded, although we were lucky enough to be able to eat without having a prior reservation. The impressive cocktail bar as well as each of the dishes we had the opportunity to try, with impeccable presentations. The service was a little slow but it was worth the wait. An option in New York if you are looking to enjoy high French food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -

This a New York City resident writing this not some out of town tourist, that knows nothing. We have an abundance of great restaurants in NYC. We NEED to put QB in that category. Holy FK, what a delicious meal! One thing I didn’t like was our drink at the bar. It was too sweet - The Diablo. No good. However, the food. It was two of us and we shared everything. Ceasar salad, crab cake, truffle pasta steak frites (NY Strip) side if the most delicious thing I’ve ever taste in my life the the crembule corn. The place is sexy. Our sommelier was on point with wine. Great bottle of Rhône. Our waitress was great (I think Carla) sweet personality and knowledgeable. Look overall I LOVED the place. I rolled over in the morning looked at my wife and said the dinner was fkin bomb. -

We came to Quality Bistro for our anniversary dinner prior to a show at Broadway Theater. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic. He answered all of our questions, had great recommendations and even brought us a free appetizer (they offered us free champagne to celebrate our anniversary, but we declined). My husband ordered a pasta dish that I tasted and it was fantastic. I should’ve ordered it. I ordered tuna crudo (our appetizer was yellowtail crudo and if you’re interested in crudo I’d recommend the yellowtail). I‘ve had tuna crudo come as an entire entree with sides and whatnot—it’s a favorite of mine. However this is definitely an appetizer. So my meal wasn’t great—but that was entirely because I ordered incorrectly and is not a reflection on the quality of their food.We got two desserts (well actually three since they brought one for our anniversary). The desserts were delicious—but big! We couldn’t finish them all! But they boxed them up for us.The atmosphere is beautiful. All in all—I’d definitely recommend Quality Bistro! Especially if you have a show after because it was in close walking distance to our theater. -

I went to Quality Bistro for the first time last week and will absolutely be coming back soon! The ambiance, service, and food was all top notch.Starting from the beginning, I was so thankful that they allowed me to sit down at our table and have a glass of water before my friend came to join. So many restaurants now won’t let you sit until the full party is there, so I really appreciated that! Our waitress was so friendly, had the menu fairly memorized, and came with recommendations in each section of the menu. We started with the butter service which is realistically the reason why we chose to eat there. Freshly churned butter, delicious accompaniment’s of ham, marinated leeks, sweet chorizo, pickles, radish, and crispy yet fluffy bread! I had the French onion soup which was a literal cauldron and I will be thinking about it until the next time I’m able to go. It had such a great depth of flavor and sooooo much cheese! Next we ordered the squash gnocchi which my friend really enjoyed. We ended the evening with the raspberry sorbet which was on a bed of mashed raspberries and topped with a pistachio shell and seemingly freeze dried raspberries! -

Came for an 11am brunch on a Saturday. Got the Beef Carpaccio, Strawberry Brioche French Toast, Parisian Ham & Egg (or something like that), creamed corn brulee, and the espresso creme brulee. Absolutely fantastic experience. Our waitress was Danielle who was lovely, and her trainee assisted. The creamed corn brulee is a must have. Absolutely delicious. The French toast was to die for and the espresso creme brulee was sooo good, and I do not like coffee. But I loved this. The bloody Mary and the Carpaccio were just okay. Weve had better. Next time wed love to try the Butter Service which looked amazing when the table next to us ordered it! -

Three of us had a delightful meal here. Beautiful and delicious cocktails. A thoughtful wine list. A variety of classic and seasonal menu items. Fresh, seasonal vegetables. Specialty side dishes that were superb. But save room for dessert -the floating island and the opera cake were extraordinarily wonderful with a spectacular presentation. Service was impeccable and friendly. Thank you to the entire staff and the chefs for creating this lovely dining experience. -

This is a lovely restaurant. Highly recommend the butter service. In fact, I would go back simply for that and a glass of wine. We had great cocktails. Crab cake was delicious. My son had a filet mignon with truffle butter that he very much enjoyed. My daughter had the strip steak frites which was the only disappointment. The steak was a bit tough. I enjoyed the spicy Caesar with the crab cake. My husband enjoyed the salmon. Overall, a great quality restaurant. -

Quality Bistro is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. The design and quality of the interior as well as the compliments of the outside seating does this restaurant justice. Very beautiful! However I had the scallops and shared one of their house salads and wasn’t to impressed especially for the price of the food. Great drinks, and amazing side order of the “corn brûlée” but overall the pricing is typical NYC and food was above average.I would still recommend visiting, but remember you will be paying for the area your in. Overall great atmosphere and good restaurant. -

Can sometimes be hard to find a good spot in midtown for a weeknight dinner and this place is a good option. Met up here for a nice dinner with some old college friends I hadn’t seen in a while. Good spot for us to catch up. Beet salad is delicious (and big)! When it’s busy it definitely feels busy but service was still very good and overall good vibes and tasty food. -

Amazing spot to host an event. Had 30 people seated along a long table and a prix fie menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. Quality ingredients and impeccable technique, hard to find flaws with anything. Interior decoration is also super pretty and transports you to France in the late 1900s. -

The food here is so good. Branzino melt in your mouth, the potato puree was soo smooth. Quality ingredients and presentation. The desert not photographed was the salted caramel gateau not only good but a pretty decent portion. My one note is the lack of unique non alcoholic beverages, they only had about 3 and they were similar price range to alcohlic beverages. I would expect more from higher end, the options do exist so not sure why they dont have them. -

The service and atmosphere here are amazing. Many of the food items are really delicious too, like the Tarte flambe, the butter service, and the truffle lobster toast. However the steak I got with the steak frites was just not amazing. For the price I would expect better. -

Wow, Quality Bistro really outdid our expectations. The butter service (who thought of that?) had the most delicious butter you could imagine with plenty of appetizer extras to go with it on very crunchy bread. We split the Chateaubriand for two and it was absolutely amazing - beef was perfectly cooked and super tender, the mushrooms were amazing, and the sauce they had on it was just right. Finishing with the chocolate mousse was over the top, but exactly what a dark chocolate lover needs to make a great capstone to the meal. Be warned: it is expensive, particularly if you want alcohol with your meal, but definitely worth it. It helps that the atmosphere (we sat inside) and service were also top notch. -

The design and ambiance inside are amazing. It’s a great spot for a celebratory dinner experience. The outdoor cabins were warm enough unless you sit next to the curtains; the cold temps will get ya! The wooden benches aren’t too comfortable, but it’s a great & spacious alternative to indoor dining. The food is good, but not worth the price tag in my opinion. Service is on point! -

I had a very wonderful time at Quality Bistro. The food was amazing and the staff was absolutely accommodating. I would like to shout out Natalia for being an awesome host to me and my partner and Karla for being a very nice waitress to us at our first time at Quality Bistro. The crab cake was our favorite! Will be back soon ✨ -

Absolutely amazing food and service!! The food was delicious and fresh (I got the chicken, my family got the salads, as well as the corn creme brulee side). Our server was incredibly kind and attentive as well. On top of that, the restaurant itself was beautiful and so well designed. The outdoor private cabin was the best outdoor dining experience in the city, and the inside of the restaurant was even more beautiful. Would love to come back when Im back in the city! -

Attended a brunch here, beautifully laid out, many choices. I didnt enjoy their bloody Mary though... peppery, not flavorful. Their interior is quite pretty, much day light, plants as accents, inviting. -

Je regret rein about this experience !! Keep up the great work !! -

Great new French ‘bistro’ from the Quality brand of restaurants. Menu is very upscale and pricey - so not really a bistro. But great ambiance and delicious food. All the portion sizes are very generous. The ‘Butter service’ is a meal in and of itself. Don’t order unless you have a group of 4 or more.Had the dry-aged sirloin - easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Amazing char sear, cooked perfectly, and literally almost melted in my mouth. Not a trace of unwanted fat to be found. Great flavor and the Dijon mustard based house steak sauce pairs with it beautifully. The duck fat fries with it were perfectly done. -

Super beautiful restaurant! Had a truly lovely meal. Unlimited wine dinner is definitely a steal, would recommend for everyone. Restaurant was very busy for Valentine’s Day weekend. Service was good but, not great. Servers been slightly more attentive but, it was a busy night. Was seated late (8:30 for an 8:15 reservation) which was not ideal. Only poor comment was I felt the chocolate mousse dessert was a little watery. It could have set longer and been less on the alcohol or sweeter - wasn’t really my thing. The apple dessert is divine tho! Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. -

Went for dinner on a busy Sunday night. The food was amazing and the ambience wonderful. The opera cake for dessert is a must if you’re a chocolate lover! I highly recommend sitting inside if you can, but their outdoor seating looks very nice. My only complaint is our table was close to the door, so as servers were tending to outdoor tables often we would get a wind of cold air. But this was minor and didn’t take away from the experience. -

Awesome service from Karla and the team! The food was really good! The onion soup was superb, the steak frites and branzino were cooked perfectly and were terrific entrees. And the Opera cake for dessert was amazing and large enough for 5-6 people. We will definitely return for another NYC dinner during our next trip to the City. -

I love a place that deals in extremes to make a statement - this is one of those places! After seeing it on Instagram I knew I had to go! It did not disappoint. I went for Sunday brunch (definitely make a reservation) and obviously got the viral butter board. It was fun to see what other people around us ordered, which sparked nice convo with the neighboring tables. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be dining here and the staff seemed happy to be here, as well, which definitely makes the dining experience more enjoyable. Overall, 10/10. Loved everything about it! -

Quality Bistro exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect place to celebrate our great nieces birthday. The staff paid attention to the reservation note that said we were celebrating a birthday and not only lit a candle on top of delicious vanilla ice cream, but also wrote a birthday card. The server, Nelson, was a fantastic waiter who never rushed us and was so polite. All the staff was very friendly and considerate. The steak frites and pineapple pork chop were tasty. I especially enjoyed the crisp on the steak and the sweet pineapple. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crisp, but very spicy. We loved the sweeter rose. The stars were definitely the desserts. Order the opera cake, which can feed four and the raspberry beret. I want to go back just for the raspberry beret and opera cake. If you like desserts that arent too sweet or heavy, order the raspberry beret, which has a tartness from the freeze dried raapberries, and the opera cake, which has the loveliest mocha undertone. The servers carried our food with glass covers to prevent the rain from ruining it. Thank you, Nelson (our main server), the guy who asked if I wanted to film the cake, and Quality Bistro, for making our night dining in your lovely outdoor area magical. -

Delicious but be warned, IT IS WAY FANCIER THAN THE REVIEWS MAKE IT SEEM! We saw the great reviews, and thought why not when we were looking for a place to eat around 9:30 pm.... yikes, we were clearly underdressed. That being said, service was phenomenal and food was delicious. The vibe was awesome, highly recommend for a date night or a fancy night out. For price point, two glasses of wine, an app and two meals brought our total to $180, so not to bad! -

Our waitress was very considerate - she asked us early on if we had a show we were trying to catch so she could help ensure we left in time to make the show. My partner had the lamb chops and I loved my steak frites. The Bristro Spritz cocktail was refreshing and light. -

I had dinner here for the second time yesterday and I was not disappointed! Our server, Jasmine, started us off with some Bistro Spritz and Le Spicy, both of which were delicious and perfectly tailored to the flavors we told her we liked for our drinks. We ordered practically all the appetizers, but our favorites were definitely the flambé, the escargot, and their oysters (the garlic sauce and their passion fruit habanero were delicious). We sat outside under the tents and although it was very busy, we had several people come and clear our tables and fill up our waters to make sure we were catered to. Before we ordered any entrees, Jasmine gave us another tour of their menu and made some solid suggestions based on the wine that we picked out earlier. We ordered a variety of things and all came out very quickly and tasted amazing. I don’t think there was one dish that fell short yesterday night, so I was very satisfied with the food overall. For dessert, we had the pistachio & corn creme brûlées and the chocolate mousse cake, all of which were offered to us with tea. I had an amazing experience and definitely recommend QB for a first date or a special family event because the service is great and very friendly + the food is A1. Thank you! -

Great service, but not worth the ridiculous prices. I mean it is Las Vegas prices without any of the wow factor. The place is beautiful, and classy. However, the food is just okay. The Lobster appetizer was overcooked, the scallops come sliced on top which makes them chewy, and detract from the butterness expected from scallops. The sirloin steak at 65 dollars is about 12-14 ounces. And is served with a bland small salad. Yes, I know that this is NYC, and that the decor is beautiful and the price of service now days....big However, the food should be better, it should leave you craving more, and it should leave you thinking wow that was worth it. Unfortunately, it does not cut it. -
