Came here for lunch on Sunday and I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. Super chill and comfy. Food was delicious, especially the Hummus! Our waitress was also very friendly and kind. Really good place to try Lebanese food.

If you are looking for a good crowd and a good hookah place around Astoria then I would definitely suggest you this place.It’s a quite chilled place with some good choice of music. They have a wide variety of hookah that you can choose from.Also their food menu is quite enriched. Ordered half fried chicken and fried calamari for food. I really loved their fried chicken. The seasoning was perfect and tasted super amazing. But compared to the serving quantity the price seemed a little high. Also I don’t know about their recipe but I felt the food and fried were missing a little touch of salt.Their fried calamari was average and also missing the touch of salt.Except for that, their tea platter seemed to be popular. And loved the hookah. They change the coal in every 30mins. So you can just take your group here and chill for hours.Also I didn’t take cash so had to pay them by Venmo/Cashapp since they don’t accept cards. I’m glad that they had this option, otherwise I would just had to go out and cash out from Atm.They add 18% service charge on the bill, which seemed a little off for me.

Attention to service is not a thing here. You better get your orders in one go or you would have to hunt down your waiter. We didn’t see the waiter until we were leaving after our order.This is very chill place. We spent a good hour just smoking and chatting with a pot of tea. Love the tea set and almost want to buy a set if they sell them. After we got out hookah, we got a coal refill once after 20 mins or so and then that’s all you got. He went on to watch someone else playing game a few tables away.We have to wave down a guy name Sinbab who convinced us to come to their shop initially to get our bill. They take Venmo, cash or Zelle. Good bye to your credit card point. Also it’s weird to add a 18% tip to the bill for a table of 3. I didn’t complain as it’s pretty late but I bet someone did.

Im in NYC every week for business and have been wanting to try this place ... Well we stopped in yesterday for lunch and a hookah...they just started opening at 2:00pm a few days earlier.We were starving and couldnt wait to get something to eat...so we started with several appetizers...I can recommend everything I ate...all delicious.We started with: Fried Kibbeh fried cracked wheat stuffed with ground meat & onions - it was served with a Ranch like sauce - very tastyFalafel vegetable patties deep fried - delicious - Stuffed Grape Leaves, stuffed with rice, tomatoes, parsley, mint & olive oil, they were served warm and tasted magnificent. And Naturally we had hummus - there was warmed Pita for us to enjoy with the hummus - I really enjoyed all these appetizers. My friend and I shared a Lunch Entree - a Shish Kebab platter, tender lamb grilled with onions, and peppers grilled in flatbread....served with fries DELICIOUS. Both my friend and I enjoy Hookah - so we had a Lemon Mint shisha and later enjoy another round of Blue Mist - GREAT HOOKAHS, the bowls are packed well and they continually replenish your coals as needed. I recommend this place - a very friendly staff and just a cool place to hang out - I cant wait to go back

Layali Beirut has the best lebanese food in New York. 100% halal, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, they treat you as though you are family. Its always my go to when I am on steinway. I was iffy at first coming here. But I gave it a shot anyway. The hookahs were good and the guy who made and served the hookahs was very nice. The hookahs were tasteful and greatly priced. Took us a little while to order because they only had 1 waitress. And the poor lady was on break so we didn’t want to interrupt. After ordering it took us a good 45 minutes to receive the entrees. Which wasn’t all that. I had the falafel sandwich with fries (dry). And my guests had the combo plate with meats and rice. Lamb chops were super small and was mostly fat on there. Bill was kind of high considering the size of the entrees. It is wheel chair accessible and kid friendly for the most part. The environment inside was clean & middle eastern themed which was pretty cool. Different than the rest of spots on the block.

Great place to enjoy with friends and groups, had a nice time. Food is great and hospitality is good as well. However it was a bit expensive, but tasty Lebanese food. The waiters are very nice. Our waiter named Maria was phenomenal. She was constantly there if we needed anything and helped us without any hesitation. At the end she wrote us a note which was very special. It made us feel welcome and thankful. It was a pleasure to eat at Layali Beirut. Loved it!!!

We love Mediterranean cuisine and tried Layali while we were passing through Astoria on Steinway St. We had the pita and hummus and falafel as apps. Our main dish was a plate with various delicious meats over a bed of rice. Everything was good. Will go back again for sure.

Whenever i’m in Astoria, this is my go to hookah lounge! The atmosphere is relaxing, Ilham is a great waitress. They have a guy that keep the coals fresh on your hookah. Such a great spot. Oh! and the food is good too! I will ALWAYS recommend this spot if anyone wants to do hookah!!

I think this restaurant is a really good place to have Libanese food in a great atmosphere with comfortable chairs, good and traditional music, nice decoration, good attention, and overall great food. The dishes are very typically and very well done. We ordered an appetizer with a creamy hummus and eggplant and salads. The hot plates were really flavorfull, especially the lamb stew which I highly recommend. Portions are very big so can share and take home. Maybe to improve I would say they are quite slow at serving the food.

This is my spot on Steinway. Layali Beirut is a little quieter than the nearby ruckus, so its a great place to relax over a meal and hookah with close friends. The decor is warm and inviting, and the menu offers excellent traditional and Western-friendly fare. Polite, obliging staff and great hookah top it off for a well-deserved five stars! The owner, if you are fortunate enough to meet him, is a true gem of humanity. Visit and discover for yourself....

Few of my friends went to this place on a tuesday night. Their mixed grill was not a lot comparing to the price but it was delicious. We ordered pina colada Sheesha on a pineapple. I have been regularly and continuously going to Leyali Beirut for the past 2 years almost and I have brought my friends, relatives, stars and even my own family to visit this great place.To start things off the scenery is very relaxing and homey. The minute you walk in and take a look at the comfortable furniture, decorations, lights, music and ambience you feel as if youre actually visiting someones house in the heart of Beirut.While most places in Steinway typically either have a nightclub setting or a very cheap recreation room sort of asthetic, you automatically feel at home with the way one feels welcome when one walks in. You can sit down - watch TV, gather and just relax listening to either classic Arabic tunes or whats going on in the media.In regards to the staff - the owner Nabeel is one the most kindest and welcoming individuals anyone can ever meet upon entering his resteraunt, he runs the resteraunt as if hes running his own house and makes sure you feel welcome. In addition, he was many staff workers who are very kind and committed and also make sure to take care of whatever food you need - so you wont feel awkward or pressured by asking anything.When it comes to the food - I truly ask you to take my word on this and say that whatever people have said in the past is something I personally havent experianced.The food is fresh and right off the fire and grill, the ingrediants are top quality and the drinks/deserts are often made locally as soon as you order. Take it from me - even something as simple as the Lentil soup will definently make you hungry for more and the Lamb chops, kebabs and various entrees are not to be underestimate - the best advice I usually give to newcomers is to order a mixed grill as you get a huge plate you can share with 2-3 people with a wide mix of grilled meat that comes with your choice of salad or fries - adding a side of hummus also doesnt hurt at all.The hookah is also something to be greatly desired after. As of now, they have recruited this really brilliant young Algerian guy with a little top knot who makes the hookah fresh and its very much worth it. The hookah can last you for a long while, the quality is great and the price is half of what you pay at all these nightclub type of spots coming around. I personally love the Lemon or Lemont Mint Hookah but you have many different options and heads to choose from.To sum it all up - if youre looking for a great spot to hang out with friends, have a date, family get together or even come down to a nice place where you can get your work done in a café environment - I truly would and have reccomended this place in the time Ive come here.Coming from someone who has tries hookah spots from Jamaica to New Jersey, Leyali Beirut is the spot - it may be a little pricy but you get your complete moneys worth and time and always want to come back for more.If you have any doubts or questions about this review, please feel free to comment or reach out to me as this is completely my honest opinion.

Came here with my dude. Was wanting someplace to have some snacks and a hookah. Very extensive menu. Many options. The hookah was solid and lasted forever. The tea was really good also. The only thing negative I can say is that the service is very Lebanese.... You have to tell them you want something because they wont come and check on you. This is to be expected. As far as the food, the things that were good were really good and the things that were not so good were really really bad. The hummus and falafel were very much not good. Everything else we ordered was solid. The fattoush was amazing and was maybe the third Best I ever had. I was very surprised by how good it was.

This is one of the best middle eastern restaurants in Queens.The food is simply delicious and its such a chill spot to smoke hookah as well. Very warm and welcoming staff: the owner is very personable and treated us like family. Truly a special experience. Comfortable, romantic, and relaxed atmosphere; with excellent ventilation! Dont come here with an agenda; just sit back and relax! Hookah and food were both very tasty; it was a perfect night.

Excellent food and gorgeous decor! Visit Lebanon without boarding a plane. We ordered a variety of delicious appetizers including lamb liver, hummus and kibble. For desert we ordered konafe and a triple mouse chocolate cake, with Turkish coffee. Everything was delicious

Favorite hookah lounge in Astoria!Consistent. Timely coal changes. Great Moroccan Mint tea - and decent outdoor setup. The price is very reasonable too.The only ding is for being cash only. They also allow payments via venmo so thats my go to option. Food is pretty decent although Ive not extensively checked it out - the menu is massive and includes all the main items.They do occasionally have fresh hot Kunefe - ask for it!

For starters we got the lentil soup , and the fatoush salad .I ordered the shish taouk (chicken kabab), Try it with the garlic sauce. My friend ordered the mixed grill which included the kofta kabab , lamb chops , shish taouk, shish kabab. The hookah was on point!! Loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Will definitely add this to my restaurant rotation.

Great Lebanese food! Order the hummus, labne, tabbouleh, ask for spicy soujouk with tomato sauce. Great ambience! And great hookah! Do the grape on a grapefruit. Make sure you go with a disposable hose. (This is a fact at any hookah lounge, if you want an optimal experience you need a disposable hose to not have any “ghosting” issues.)

Amazing night! Great food. Great ambiance. Came in with friends from work from different backgrounds. The owner and his table made an effort to switch the usual arab ambience to ozuna and memphis bleek. Love this place. Great job to the owner and his team.
