I’m shopping in the Soho district ventured over to Gelso and Grand. This is our second trip but my first review. Because we didn’t have reservations and got there shortly after opening at noon, we had a choice to sit at the windows or the bar. We of course chose the bar so we can enjoy speaking with the bartenders. The Drinks, pizza, spaghetti, and meatballs, and sides were delicious. -

Nice place, but like most in the area, oriented toward the tourists, so if you are up to authentic Italian food- go to another neighborhood.Service is incredibly welcoming and fast. Food is tasty and sitting is all together sooo cozy.I really like the tiramisu. Not sweet and got notes of espresso and cacao. -

Gelso & Grand: Good Food, Cozy Atmosphere, but Lacking in ServiceI recently visited Gelso & Grand with my lady, and overall, it was a decent experience. I ordered the Affogato, which was fairly good, and she had a cappuccino that she really enjoyed. The flavors were nice, but the portions felt small for the price. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a nice vibe that made the place feel warm and relaxed. However, the staff left a lot to be desired. Everyone seemed more interested in lounging around than actually attending to guests. We were seated by a window where a cold draft was coming through. When we mentioned it to the hostess, she didn’t even offer to move us, despite the restaurant being nearly empty with plenty of open seats.Overall, Gelso & Grand is a nice spot with good food and a pleasant ambiance, but the lackluster service takes away from the experience. With better attention to customer comfort, this place could be a lot more enjoyable. -

Beautiful day to walk Little Italy/NYC. We sat outside for lunch at GELSO & GRAND RESTAURANT on the corner of Mulberry and Grand Streets. First of all, a welcoming, warm spirited, gracious wait staff. We started with a Mixed Green Salad with Goat Cheese, Fennel, Cubed Butternut Squash, Candied Pecans and Raisins. With a delicious simple dressing with Orange and Lemon juices. Main Courses – Crispy Calamari with Fried Calamari and Fried Artichoke pieces. Pasta Selection was hearty and remarkably delicious: Braised Lamb Campanelle ( cone shaped pasta with a ruffled edge ) with Hazelnuts, Ricotta, and Shave Piave Cheese. We will return. -

First time in New York city and having dinner at Little Italy Gelso & Grand. The pizza here is all great. We end up ordering pepperoni pizza and calamari. The pizza thing crust was crispy and the cheese was fantastic. The calamari was also very tasty with fried artichoke and greenbean. The service from the hostes to the waiter was great. The food came out pretty fast. The atmosphere was great. We are not drinker but the bar was full of customers. We enjoy the dinner here. Definitely, if you are in China Town NY, you can walk here. Here are some pictures I have captured -

The service wasnt the best, I didnt see the host, I asked one of the stuff where to sit and he said anywhere, and after I sat down the host came to ask me if I was alone, I said yes, she wanted to change the table but I refused, but the stuff was friendly, the pasta was very good and delicious but the calamari wasnt the best and there was a lot of oil in it, to some extent the restaurant is worth trying again,Thank you -

First time we come here , Gio Recived us and he’s a really nice guy , who even tried and talked with us in Spanish! Then our waitress was Leslie who was nice and gave us good vibes. It is a place where’s a good atmosphere, chill place to hang out or eat, completely recommended , we will definitely come back. The food was fast , we asked and it came like in less than 15min .It is a very beautiful place , it reminded me to Napoli in some sense 🇮🇹.Thank you for this experience and Buona notte. -

We stopped in here for drinks after walking around Chinatown and Little Italy in NYC. We sat at the bar and watched the bartenders work their magic. Amazing. The dining area was packed with patrons ordering great looking dishes and wood fired brick oven pizzas. The setting is upscale casual with high ceilings and exposed brick and large windows. We were treated well and felt relaxed and welcomed. Their set list was great! The restrooms are clean and there is a photo both downstairs that is working. -

Tastefully decorated Italian restaurant in the heart of Little Italy. The food was superb and the service was even better! Chef’s kiss! Would absolutely recommend this restaurant! -

Review 13 (2024-01-07 - Rating: 4)
NOT the typical Little Italy tourist trap This is a really good restaurant. We stopped for a soup, salad and coffee. The soup was spectacular. The salad was a GRILLED wedge with just the right amount of blue cheese and bacon. The coffee was also a wonderful surprise, it came with a nice foam on the top. The food being served around us looked special and great. We cant wait to go back for dinner! Only small complaint, the seating is uncomfortable but looks cute. Tables for two are old pedal sewing machines. We couldnt put our legs under the table. -

I recently visited Gelso & Grand in Little Italy, New York, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The place is beautifully designed, with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The food was simply incredible – delicious, high-quality, and clearly made with great care. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly, attentive, and ensured everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for exceptional Italian cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience. I will definitely be back! -

Me & my friends came here for the first time and had an AMAZING time, Natalia was very attentive, sweet, and recommended a lot of WONDERFUL drinks. The food, service, and ambience was NEXT LEVEL, Whatever her salary is, please multiply by 5. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A+++ -
Review 17 (2024-05-24 - Rating: 5)
A really nice causal spot. Its side outdoor seating is on a traffic blocked street so no cars. I’ve been here a few times and the service is always very attentive and speedy. The Brussels sprouts are especially good. I also enough most of their pastas. Ive had the tiramisu and it’s ok. Overall it’s a really solid chill spot. Would definitely recommend especially for warmer days. -
Review 18 (2024-12-31 - Rating: 5)
I had the best time at Gelso and Grand. I hosted my 30th party here and used a 3rd party site to help with communication and organizing. I worked with Chris and he was great about answering my one million questions and all of the last minute changes I made. With my party size I was able to book a private room with a prefixe menu and an open bar. Everything was great, the waiters assigned to our room were on top of bringing out the food and refilling our drinks. I also brought my own cake with candles and decorations. They added the decorations for me and had one of my friends bring it in. The whole group really made the experience a great one and I am so grateful. Additionally, the food and drinks were delicious, exactly as I hoped! -

Very good Italian place with amazing atmosphere and delicious food and drinks. I honestly don’t understand how people can give this beautiful restaurant 1 star because this Italian restaurant deserves all 100 stars. -

We had dinner at Gelso and Grand last night, and I couldn’t recommend this place more! It has such a chill, relaxing vibe, and the food was great. Even if it’s out of your way, it’s worth the trip—highly recommend! -

Pasta was pretty good but service was whatever. They forgot our potatoes and didn’t bother to check on us throughout the whole time. -
Review 22 (2023-08-23 - Rating: 5)
After walking along past many restaurants we found ourselves here. We sat inside because the street was busy which was definitely a good choice. I had a vegetarian spaghetti dish which was delicious and my husband had the shrimp pizza. He was surprised to find green olives on it and said they tasted really good. We ate everything and left feeling full and happy. Prices were good and the staff were great. All in all, a successful night out. One more thing we liked was we weren’t pestered by pushy staff trying to get us into their restaurant. -
Review 23 (2023-10-17 - Rating: 5)
I really appreciated actually finding a pasta/pizza restaurant that met my expectations. Unfortunately, many places I’ve visited in Manhattan will have high reviews but the food is subpar. This place was different. The pizza was really delicious and if it had been served hotter, it may have been some of the best I’ve had in NYC, but it wasn’t that hot..The Cacio E Pepe pasta was also appetizing. It was cheesy and included pretty tasty flavors. The cocktail was a 9/10. I ordered the sweet & spicy cocktail and it hit the spot. I would also like to mention that for a Monday during lunch time it was not busy at all. We had a party of two and were seated immediately. Food came out very quick and service was quick/attentive. -
Review 24 (2024-03-09 - Rating: 5)
Loved this place! Perfect spot for Italian in Little Italy. I saw the pistachio pesto pasta on the menu online and knew I had to have it—and it was amazing! The server was super nice as well, along with the server who was super quick to refill our water whenever we were getting low. I was really impressed with the service, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, and the delicious food. We will definitely be back. -
Review 25 (2024-04-10 - Rating: 4)
This is one of the few restaurants opens late and took our order 15 mins before the kitchen close. The servicers are friendly and welcoming. Ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and Crispy Octopus. This pizza is the thinner style, the crust is slightly crispy but soft mochi-like inside. It is pretty light and not greasy; it’s stated as spicy on the menu but is not.The crispy octopus is alright, the octopus is on the tough side, so not everyone would like that. However, the vegetable combination and sauce surprised me. The celery and herb are tossed in a light refreshing sauce, with the spiciness and tanginess from pepper dew and crispy potato, overall, a complex flavor profile yet refreshing and savory appetizer. -
Review 26 (2024-08-07 - Rating: 5)
We love Gelso! The food is superb and customer service is top notch. They are especially accommodating for large groups, as we love to bring our family when they visit from out of town. The outside seating is nice and comfortable, and makes for good people watching. The only time we sit inside is if the weather doesn’t cooperate and it looks like it’s going to rain, obviously. Reservations recommended during the busy hours, this place is great so they tend to be packed! -
Review 27 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 5)
Stumbled across this gem while looking for some Italian place with the hubby. The food was top notch, cute decor and was busy enough but not crowded. A perfect way to stop for a drink and some food while in SoHo. We had the calamari, aka vodka and the truffle pacchieri. Goes nice with a Prosecco and a glass of Italian beer. -
Review 28 (2024-11-08 - Rating: 5)
Great and fast service prices are great for New York. After paying $35 dollars on a mediocre sandwich for lunch I was not expecting this. Great surprise to end this first day 💕 -
Review 29 (2024-12-01 - Rating: 5)
The flavor combinations of every dish are out of this world!!! Pasta was perfectly al denté and the brick oven pizza flavors were unexpected (banana peppers on truffle pizza) but delicious. The service was also FAST like entire dinner was put in 10-15 minutes, some of the fastest service I’ve ever received. The only con was that there was a private party downstairs that was LOUD -
Review 30 (2024-10-24 - Rating: 4)
Great food and service. The smoked mozzarella on our pizza was THE BEST EVER! HOW DID YA DO IT?! Pesto Pasta is must. Our server was great... the young lady seating people when you arrive... not so great. -
Review 31 (2023-08-17 - Rating: 5)
Pasta is freshly made and creamy. Love it. Fried calamari will be better with longer preparation time. Bone mallow spread with toast is really good. Brussels sprouts is also a plus. Dessert is a little bit disappointed. -
Review 32 (2024-11-22 - Rating: 5)
I like their burrata romesco and different pastas, all flavorful and delicious. The service we got was also very attentive and responsive, as we had our dirty tablewares replaced frequently without asking. The atmosphere was also great, very roomy and not very noisy, which is ideal for chatting (however, we got there very early around 5:30 through 7, so Im not sure if the quality would be the same during the really busy time).Id like to try it more in the future when visiting NYC. -
Review 33 (2023-06-13 - Rating: 4)
We didn’t have a reservation but got a table after a 15 minute wait, which is a plus. The staff could be a bit more attentive though. We had to wait for quite a while until someone bothered to take our order. The pizza was very good and the restaurant’s atmosphere is lovely. -
Review 34 (2024-11-05 - Rating: 4)
Love this place. Its high ceiling and open dinning room is comfortable and relaxing.Typically, a tourist spot but we enjoy the food. -
Review 35 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 5)
This is a way overdue review from the time I lived in NYC (I left in 2020). During that time, I had the opportunity to visit that restaurant probably a dozen times. I always enjoyed the atmosphere, the food (whether pizza or pasta) and the service, all in a great setting and a great neighborhood. But what made me remember to write this review 4 years later is this: I once placed an order through a delivery service (I believe it was Caviar). The delivery person basically lied and ate the food, and never delivered. I called the restaurant to let them know that this was happening - really for their information, so they would know - and the manager (or owner, or employee, I dont know) basically said: you paid to have a pizza from us, youre going to have a pizza from us and he sent me one (I actually believe that he brought it himself, but its been a few years, I cant be 100% sure anymore). That kind of service is unmatched, and makes me remember it many years later...Next time in NYC, I WILL eat there again. -
Review 36 (2024-08-27 - Rating: 5)
Very accommodating to vegan dietary requirements. The mushroom pizza and tomato based pasta were amazing. We ordered 2 of the pastas and one of them had a much smaller serving which was the only downside. Service was great. -
Review 37 (2024-10-20 - Rating: 4)
Despite the cool atmosphere, good vibe, and enjoyable drinks, our experience was hindered by inattentive service. We waited at the bar for quite some time, trying to catch the eye of two different waitresses, but were largely ignored. It was disappointing, especially given the relatively small size of the bar. -
Review 38 (2024-03-03 - Rating: 5)
It may not be authentic Italian food but it’s good enough & the drinks are awesome. They have outdoor space and good prices. You should try this place asap -

Review 40 (2024-12-14 - Rating: 5)
Just incredible service and food. Truffle Pacchieri and both Arancinis were terrific, favorite items we tried. Didn’t go crazy on drinks but Juniper Apricot was light but refreshing.Service was the real highlight, Danny (on the ticket) was prompt and didn’t miss a beat, always perfectly on time with a professional and knowledgeable demeanor. Along with her, support staff did a terrific job, we were prebussed the second we set dishes down and left no room for improvement. Major kuddos to all staff (came in at 9 on 12/13). -

Walking around Mulberry Street and wanted to have a drink and snack. Plenty of outdoor seating for people watching. Tried the Rose Sangria and a Peroni with an order of the truffled honey bruschetta. Perfect afternoon snack. Plenty of choices on the menu. Great spot on Mulberry Street. Busy afternoon crowd. Will definitely come back. -

Gelso and Grand in Little Italy, NYC, is a delightful dining experience. My wife ordered the pistachio pesto, which was rich and flavorful. I opted for the braised lamb Campanella, and it did not disappoint. The tender lamb paired perfectly with the pasta. Additionally, the Brussel sprouts we shared offered a unique and delicious flavor profile. Overall, the ambiance and service at Gelso and Grand were exceptional. It’s not a traditional romantic spot but more of a see and been seen restaurant. -
Review 44 (2024-12-01 - Rating: 5)
I had a large party of coworkers and a decision to make on where to treat everyone for dinner. Little Italy can be a big hit or a miss. This establishment is certainly a hit. The staff were attentive, food was delicious and the atmosphere charming and cozy. -

Great experience! We wanted to have dinner in Little Italy but didn’t want a faux Italian experience with mediocre food. This is a modern, high quality restaurant in a great location. Food was really good and cocktails were excellent! -

We stopped by Gelso & Grand during the San Gennaro Feast, and was pleasantly surprised by their reasonable price for a whole pizza ($15), and how good it was for being prepared so quickly.Definitely am curious to come back when the yearly feast isn’t going on, and eating in the actual restaurant. -
Review 48 (2024-09-16 - Rating: 4)
We went during San Genaro so I get it was busy. The hostess was great and squeezed us in. Appetizers were good. My daughter took 2 bites of her chicken parm. It was beyond bland and dry. And no pasta. We are in little italy ?!?! My potatoes and carrots were better than my steak. Maybe just an off night 🫤 -

Review 53 (2024-07-10 - Rating: 5)
If you like Italian with a modern twist, this is hands down the best place to go in Little Italy! Everything G&G offers is delicious. Their pizzas are to die for and their pastas are perfectly al dente and seasoned to perfection. There are a great variety of vegetarian options, and lots of exciting ingredients to zest up traditional dishes, like pistachio in pesto, peppercinis and truffles on mushroom pizza, two types of Arancini balls—nothing is bland or dull. Also love their drinks, which are great for summer, their atmosphere has a rustic wooden setting with gorgeously decorated high ceilings. Highly recommend coming with a group and ordering a bunch of items to try! -
Review 54 (2024-07-22 - Rating: 5)
We live in the upper east side and wanted to try something new. Wow. Just… wow. What a beautiful place! So much thought went into the decor. The dining room has high ceilings with lots of thoughtful artifacts hanging on the walls. And we loved the exposed brick wall, it adds character to the place. In fact they have brick walls all around the exterior as well. Design 10/10To start we had the Truffled Honey Bruschetta and the Braised Beef Arancini. We almost ordered the same things again! We had to restrain ourselves because we really wanted to try the entrees. It took us a while to order because we were admiring the decor and talking about the appetizers we’d just had. We weren’t rushed at all. Our server kept checking in on us and she was always smiling. Appetizers 10/10. Service 10/10.Even though it took us a while to get back to the menu and even look at the entrees it took us one minute to decide. Two dishes on the menu just popped out at us; the Truffle Paccheri with sausage, burrata, truffle cream and Parmigiana and the Campanelle Alla Vodka with basil, chili flakes and Parmigiana. The food came out quick, everything tasted amazing and we couldn’t stop talking about it. Entrees 10/10. Authenticity 10/10We didn’t have any room for dessert but we would like to try their Date banana budino and their Espresso Tiramisu next time. Our server was amazing and the manager Rosie is outstanding. We’ll definitely be back! -

Went here to celebrate a family members birthday. We all had the best time! The atmosphere is top-notch! The service was amazing. Whenever our glass of water was below half full, someone would come over to top everyones glasses off. The table was kept immaculate in between each cousre. They even went as far as wiping off the crumbs. Now, for the food and drinks, I highly recommend the Peach Frose to drink. The table shared the Charcuterie Board with cheese, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the ingredients. I had the Charred Wedge Salad and Shared the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Pizza, and both were fantastic! The strawberry sorbet was the icing on the cake. So fresh!! If you are in Little Italy, you should make a point of stopping here! If you arent staying in Little Italy, it is just a short Metro ride from Times Square. -

Made reservations here, as a suggestion from a friend. Loved the atmosphere. Much more quaint than the typical restaurant along Mulberry. They have a great wine selection, with authentic Tuscan wines. For a family of five children, prices were very reasonable. Excellent pizza choices. Would request some pizzas with more meat options. However, what we got was excellent! The pasta was savory and rich. We got three of the pastas, and the vodka sauce was our favorite. We also got the chicken Parmesan, which was excellent. Also, suggest the bone marrow bruschetta! Nothing disappointed. For our five nights in New York, this was our family’s favorite! -

Great restaurant in Little Italy that is more refined than many other nearby spots. The restaurant itself is beautiful, providing a nice rustic atmosphere. Review 71 (2024-12-24 - Rating: 5)
Food, cocktails and service were very good. I wouldve definitely go back there again however the only drawback was this artificial doorman that we encountered on the way in. He would let other people walk in and when he asked if we first had a reservation he would ask us if we were there for dinner or karaoke. He would then proceed to ask us if we paid cash and wanted to check out dollar bills to see if they were counterfeit or not. Super scketchy so we notified the hostess as well as our server so that future customers do not get fooled but hopefully management will be more careful in watching our cause elderly customers may get their money stolen as we did not see this gentleman in the way out. Food was excellent -

We came here on a Sunday for lunch and happily it wasn’t crowded. We are native New Yorkers and are aware that sometimes food in Little Italy is pricey and not always good but we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and well made the food was. Definitely one of the better restaurants in little Italy. Nice ambience and cute server! We had the Eggplant Caponata Bruschetta which was really nice and also the Pasta alls Vodka. Tasted like house made fresh pasta. De lish!Update: Came here Saturday during the San Gennaro Feast. Had the Pasta Pomodoro and sister had Grulled Chicken Piccata. Both were amazing! Then for dessert I thought I’d try the Banana bread pudding with dates and vanilla gelato. Drizzle of balsamic. The plate was sprinkled with hazelnut pralines. Absolutely yummmmm! Thank you Chef! -

Came in one night with no reservations and although they were fully booked and not taking walk ins they did have seating at the bar and high tops. We ended up sitting at a high top and had an amazing time! Such a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. I highly recommend! -

The food was fantastic and the service brilliant, but the music was incredibly loud and it was really hard to understand each other. -
Review 79 (2024-07-14 - Rating: 4)
The cacio e pepe has the perfect amount of fresh cracked pepper. However, there is a theme that there needs to be more sauce. Both on the pasta and the chicken piccata. The chicken itself was a bit dry. The octopus texturally was not the best but had a great Kalamata olive sauce. Don’t miss the photo booth downstairs! Also, our waiter could’ve loved us more. -

🌟 Love this place! The service quality is excellent, the vibes are comfy, and the food is truly amazing. I’m making sure to record these outstanding cuisines so that I can re-experience them all on my next visit.🍽️ Crispy Calamari: Not your ordinary dish! It’s perfectly fried, devoid of any oily feeling. Plus, they’ve added some artichoke & haricot vert to create a harmonious balance. (Make a wish here - throw in more vegies, they match so well!)🍕 Prosciutto Pizza & Pistachio Pesto Pasta: Both were good choices. Their pizzas and pastas are consistently great.🍝 Truffle Pacchieri: Prepare to be wowed! The truffle flavor is incredibly rich—I could practically smell it wafting from the kitchen. Also it is so dense and creamy - youll love its texture.🥂 Speakeasy-Like Bar Area: Hidden in the basement, it’s a gem waiting to be explored. Perfect for chilling with friends. My mouth waters just reminiscing about it! 🤤 -

Tasty lunch in a beautiful space. It was peaceful and quiet here on a weekday at midday, though I imagine brunch gets busy! Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal, and service was prompt and professional. The space is large and airy and has a lot of very pleasant outdoor options along Mulberry Street. -

One of my favorite little Italy spots. A warm, comfortable atmosphere that isn’t filled with touristy vibes or ridiculous menu items like many other local options. This was my second time here, and both times the Pizzas were great. This time I had the truffle and mushroom pizza, last time I had the traditional pizza. Crust was perfectly crispy, sauce was light but fresh. Service was great too. My cocktail was not to my own taste (not their fault) and overall I’d come back again. Recommended! -

I discovered this place about 6 years ago while on a directionless quest for food with an ex from our hotel. We took a chance and wow. Ever since, I’ve spent several anniversaries and birthdays at this place from out of state. Each time, we share the occasion and how special this place is with the waitstaff and they always spoil us and make it extra special. I have even turned many New Yorker friends on to G&G who now get to dine there regularly (jealous) and claim it as a new favorite. I could literally never recommend this place enough and will never stop telling everyone I meet to stop by. Thank you, G&G for being one of my all time favorites. Hoping for many more anniversaries and birthdays spent with you! -

A must-visit for Italian food lovers. The room is large, warm, spacious and I could actually hear my partner speaking. All of the food was delivered quickly. Not a pizza place or spot for a quick meal. -
Review 90 (2024-10-25 - Rating: 5)
The food was really fantastic and flavorful! They were happy to accommodate my request for a pizza with half cheese and half without. Usually, that can result in a dry or burnt pizza, but it was truly delicious! The calamari was also outstanding; however, some bread or chips would have complemented it nicely. It was a bit noisy inside, so we opted to sit outside instead. -

This was the nicest restaurant I encountered in New York. It is a beautiful space with a beautiful patio. The food was delicious and you MUST try the Tiramisu that is homemade. Staff are all very friendly and happy to serve you, customer service here is top notch. Prices are definitely reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting this area. I know this neighborhood is full of Italian places, but this one should be #1 on your list. The pizza is also tasty, you can tell they put love & effort into their dishes. -

What a lovely eatery in Little Italy. My only complaint would be that the outdoor seating is very uncomfortable. Food was excellent, service was phenomenal. It’s a lovely vantage point to sit and enjoy a meal while people watching. -

Review 96 (2023-08-08 - Rating: 4)
Good pizza, excellent supertuscan red wine. Quick and efficient service. Cosy and warm atmosphere. It is if course OK but it does not justify in full the high rating this place gets… Nothing against this place of course but a 5 ⭐️ rating for food requires a distinguishing feature that I have personally not detected 🥹 -

We visit NYC four or more times a year and Gelso & Grand has become one of those spots we always look forward to! Visiting in warmer weather is our favorite as it offers open-air dining on a beautiful corner in Little Italy. The food is outstanding! The drinks are always on point! The bar staff is always friendly and accommodating! We visited most recently throughout our attendance to the Feast of San Gennaro. Although very busy, they still never missed a beat!! -

Good quality Italian food. I enjoyed the margarita pizza! My friend got the Quattro Formaggi Pizza was good too. My friend loved it, but I thought it was okay. We also got the Pistachio Pesto Pasta which was well done. I enjoyed it but probably wouldn’t get it again, the pistachio flavor is good and strong, it was tasty but not something I’d crave if that makes sense. Overall positive experience. -

We highly enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambiance here! Smaller menu but everything on it was full of flavor. We had a pasta special with sausage and a white cream sauce, pasta bolognese and a capizza and regular pizza. I first got the inferno pizza but it was too hot so they kindly replaced it for free with a standard pepperoni. The vibe is AWESOME. See the photos! -

First time here last night and it was wonderful! Whenever I make reservations at a place, I usually stare at their menu and read reviews to daydream about what I want to order. Normal? I dont care lol. I had seen a few reviews about them charging for water and making people feel rushed. Our waitress specifically said that tap water was complimentary. Transparency! And while servers were regularly checking on us and clearing our plates and used silverware, I did not at all feel like we were being rushed. To me it just seemed like they were paying attention and making sure our table had room for other plates. Super attentive to how much water we had at the table and in our glasses. Super friendly and nice. We sat a while and had dessert tea after dinner and left when we were ready. The food was super delicious too! We both got our own pizzas. Next time I might split a pizza and a salad because we were stuffed! No crust left behind. :) Also one entire star is for their clean bathroom. Next time were in Little Italy well be back! -

We had to wait for a table for 45 minutes but it was worth it. Everything on the menu is delicious and comforting. The waiters and hostess were very nice. The waiters walk around often and they are attentive to anything you may need. They have a downstairs area for private parties and I have to say it was fun to watch from the staircase. The bathrooms are also located downstairs and are very clean. Definitely want to plan a birthday party here. The DJ sounded so fun!We ordered more food than we could actually eat. We definitely took the left overs to go but by the time we got home we finished our leftovers. -

Great service and delicious food 🥰 we came here Sunday for lunch. They have nice outdoor seating since the road is close so I don’t have to worry about the dust from the cars passing by. They also have indoor dining with nice interior design. The food has a good portion specially the fried calamari that can be shared for 3 people. The peach frośe is really good I nightly recommend that and also the Crispy pepperoni pizza. -

4.5 STARS. Wonderful atmosphere. Great food. Decent service. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer, which were good, but not my favorite. The fettuccini bolognese and Cacio e Pepe we’re very good. The Truffle Paccheiri was excellent. I also highly recommend the Date Banana Budino for dessert. I ordered this for myself but my wife & daughter couldn’t resist. Needless to say, it was devoured in less than 2 minutes. The hot spiced cider was also perfect on a cold winter night. -

Truly a hidden gem, was just looking for somewhere to duck into for a glass of wine. this place is masssssive for nyc and so cozy with an open kitchen and exposed brick. Also amazing pizza chewy crust with plenty of toppings and my fave part nice big pours of wine! We couldn’t believe how affordable it was when the check came. immediately added it to my “favorites” on google maps so I can come back. Only downside would be it seems to get a little crowded and service is a little slow but not too bad -

Nice place to people watch and catch up on a Sunday, we went for brunch as Saturday dinner was booked days in advance - nice loud chatty New York ambiance, low-mid volume background music, balanced bloody Mary’s, delicious pasta - I had the carbonara (see photo) from the brunch specials and the goats cheese w honey & walnuts bruschetta. The kale salad was also delicious. Tables were a little tightly packed buuuut we’re in NYC - definitely not the most packed but if they removed a table or two would just be more comfortable. Overall the food is just so good, I’d go back again and again. -

Great. We got the crispy calamari and margherita pizza plus mushrooms. The calarami batter was sturdy, light, and crispy, and the fish actually tasted really fresh. The portion was huge too, you get what you pay for. The pizza was pretty good, they gave a lot of mushrooms. We sat outside on a nice sunny day, the view was nice. The service was professional and efficient. I would come here again in a heartbeat. -

Had the most wonderful time here. The food and service was incredible. Really enjoyed the banana toffee dessert. Enjoying a delicious Super Tuscan whilst looking out at the spectacle and show of Little Italy was certainly a highlight. GIO was a standout made us feel welcome and was the most personable and permeating host - told us history of the area, knowledgable about the bar restaurant and the best things to order and made the night so much more of a standout had we not met him. -

The staff was very kind, when they did not have a table accustomed for 5, the lady at the entrance offered us to sit in the bar area where she told us that it was the same and we would get faster service. The waiter also was kind enough to answer all our questions and offer a different way of serving the margherita pizza as it was our first time there. If great Italian food was something you are looking for, I would go here. Very family friendly and a great place to hang out with friends. -

I stumbled upon this place after finding a 1.5 hour wait at a nearby restaurant that didnt take reservations. What an amazing bit of luck I had! The food is incredible here. The octopus appetizer had just the right amount of sear and it was over a deftly prepared bed of faro. The arancini were piping hot with a crunchy exterior and a deliciously cheesy interior. The porterhouse pork chop was expertly cooked and served with beautifully seasoned veggies. I cant wait to come back and have another meal served by their friendly and prompt staff! -

It was a great Saturday lunch with my wife and my parents. Tables were spaced so that the backs of our chairs were 6 feet away from the back of the chair of the next table, plus the street was closed off to vehicle traffic, and not many people walking by on either side. Plus the food and service were fantastic. It was a very enjoyable experience! -

Overall: this is one of the best Italian places I have ever been in NYC. They deliver on flavor and presentation. What we ordered:1) Meatballs ($13) - the meatballs with tomato sauce. I don’t really care for meatballs but these ones were amazing! I’d definitely order again (probably as a meal with noodles). 5/52) Truffle Arancini ($12) - six mini arancini per serving. It was really good. 4/53) Fettuccine Bolognese ($24) - I personally think it needed a little more salt for the flavors to come together but it was amazing. The pasta was so good! 4/54) Pistachio Pesto ($22) - my friend ordered the pistachio pesto and it was so good. There is a kick (spicy) at the end and it was so good. Very flavorful.5) GIANT STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE CANNOLI ($20) - expansive but worth every cent. SO GOOD!The only two disappointments: the drinks and the service. First, they do not offer free refills with the soda. I didn’t know it was not free, so my refills cost me an additional $4dollars. What is frustrating is that they have a fountain soda so it doesn’t make sense for the price they charged. The alcoholic drinks were also a disappointment. Overpriced and it tasted awful. Plus, the server brought us warm water and no ice. Second, the service… the server (who was a guy and whose name I believe is not Rosibel regardless of what the receipt says) was not attentive nor seemed to care. The people bringing the food and picking up the plates were very nice. The server though, 1/5 stars. -

This Italian food is definitely authentic and so delicious! Super accessible in Little Italy and great decor and vibe. I feel this is a fair price (20-30 per person) for the area/food quality. Frustratingly, it is very very loud in there though. Very quick service from the staff and everyone was kind. In Little Italy there are many tourist trap restaurants- this definitely NOT ONE! If youre looking for a flavorful dish with a kick, I would definitely recommend the pasta with Vodka sauce- absolutely delicious! -

The absolute best place to eat in Manhattan! OMG the food and drinks were so good, the atmosphere was great, and the music was awesome. Every time I come back to NYC Ill be coming here. We had the crispy calamari, meatballs, fried potatoes, and mojitos! -

NYC, so many different sections and neighborhoods..today was a visit to Little Italy for lunch.....good call. Many, many perfect choices, Gelso & Grand stood out for wonderful outdoor seating, most excellent service and a delicious meal. Pasta, of course, though other menu choices. Just a delicious, fresh meal at a fair price. Enjoy, we did!! -

Booked a party for my wifes birthday. They were very accommodating throughout the planning process and the day of the event everything was great. We were seated on time, the food was great, the service was excellent and they had good drinks. I was very happy with my experience there. -

Great outdoors setup with overhead heaters and fire burners too. Get the Italian Margarita and the Calamari. Pasta was good too. Tasty pesto .Was here on New Years Eve and was pretty cool setup. Not too touristy. -

The lamb with pasta was great. The pasta was Al dente, the marinara sauce had very good flavor and the lamb was pretty good not over powering. I’m glad I ordered it. -

Excellent service, very friendly staff. Wine is about $12 and the atmosphere is rustic Italian. Bar area is well designed and open, so you wont feel smothered when ordering a drink. Great lighting with many windows, perfect spot for people watching in Nolita. -

I still have dreams about their truffled honey and goat cheese bruschetta! If you go here you absolutely have to get that. We also got the crispy calamari and the Margherita pizza both delicious. This place also offered a great vibe definitely a cute date spot.
