Great wine bar in the area ! They have an outdoor garden where you have a quieter ambiance. Great selection of wine.

  • Review 2 (2024-10-23 - Rating: 5)

Truly some of the best small plates in NYC. Fantastic wine selection and incredible guidance from the staff regarding pairings. Definitely try the ricotta and figs, and their prosciutto is sliced fresh in front of you and is worth every penny. Great date spot, or place to share a bunch of tasty dishes with a group of friends.

  • Review 3 (2023-04-03 - Rating: 4)

Delicious Italian small plates in a cozy West Village spot. We came in on a Sunday night for dinner and got a table for 3 people without any problem. We tried 2 crostinis, the white fish and the brussel sprouts salad. We particularly enjoyed the crostinis. The staff was so friendly. Looking forward to coming back and sitting in the garden!

Stopped in on a Monday evening for just a glass of wine, of which the selection was lovely for a by-the-glass.Wasn’t able to taste any food but the music and environment was so lovely. Perhaps it’s not always as thinly populated but I certainly appreciated it.Staff was very friendly and kind.

One of my favorite wine bars in NYC, so much so I’m hesitant to give this review because I don’t want a ton of people finding out about it, but they deserve. Always got a great playlist on, good selection of wines, friendly service and yummy small bites.

  • Review 21 (2018-08-03 - Rating: 5)

Hidden gem in the West village, this cute little bar is never too crowded. They have a cute backyard thats open in the summer. The wine is better than the food, though.

  • Review 22 (2023-06-03 - Rating: 5)

Have been trying to find an authentic Italian wine bar after coming back from Italy & this one is perfect. Cutest backyard with very chill vibe. Great wines on the menu as well as apperetivo. Lasagna was awesome & so was the prosciutto crepe. Judy was very knowledgeable about the wine menu, can’t wait to come back!!

  • Review 24 (2017-07-30 - Rating: 5)

One of my favourite places in the area. Italian small plates. Theres a garden that you should sit in if you can. The winners here are the ricotta & fig toast and the anchovy and butter toast. The latter in particular is incredible if you like fish!

It left a mark on us. We want to go back bc the atmosphere is just laid back and chill. The bartenders and staff are just a breath of fresh air. We didnt know they served small dishes, but we enjoyed the wine! Its a small quaint space.

The Arugula Pesto with aged Balsamic was absolutely incredible and so much better than most of the things that I ate in NY, all of which were MUCH more expensive. There just isnt a better place for a quiet evening in the area.

  • Review 52 (2019-03-22 - Rating: 5)

Wine and food were really great. The walnut pesto is unstoppable.

  • Review 58 (2023-09-16 - Rating: 5)

It’s mid-September and it’s the perfect weather in NYC…not too hot, not too cold..cool. Out for a walk I stumbled across Gottino. Feeling peckish I stopped in and grabbed a table for one in their garden. It was “brunch” time so the menu reflected the time I stopped in but there was enough to pick from that wasn’t all carbs and sweet. Started with picking the libation… perused the wine list and ordered a Nebbiolo. For my entree ordered the asparagus and goat cheese fittata. Everything was great. Quickly seated (they let me pick where) and there wasn’t an ungodly long time between ordering and actually eating. The frittata was just how I liked it. Crispy edges but a firm pillowy center. Perfectly sized and just delicious. I definitely will be back.

  • Review 59 (2023-08-05 - Rating: 4)

Delicious small plates and cocktails. Very chill atmosphere with plenty of seating at the bar and in the outdoor patio.

  • Review 60 (2023-03-26 - Rating: 5)

Adorable wine bar with great bites and staff. Stopped in for a late afternoon wine and snack to read a book, and the vibe was perfect and the wine delightful. Can’t wait to stop by again

  • Review 61 (2022-11-20 - Rating: 5)

Refreshingly unfussy, charmingly eccentric, with shockingly good food (especially the pesto crostini, dear god!) and other nibbles, reasonably priced wines and great service. How have I never been here before?

  • Review 62 (2022-10-10 - Rating: 5)

Enjoyed Delicious small bites in this Italian wine bar. Shared a nice Super Tuscan in a half carafe. Friendly service. I’ll come back

  • Review 63 (2022-02-15 - Rating: 4)

Very cute wine bar! Sat here with my boyfriend and got some wine and Italian food. Don’t expect anything fancy food wise, but it was still very delicious. Would def recommend if you’re looking for a cozy wine bar experience

  • Review 64 (2022-03-01 - Rating: 4)

A pretty nice spot. Beer selection is limited but extremely solid. Gottino only serves quality craft beers; they are mainly a wine-serving establishment. There is typically a Sixpoint beer on tap. I’ve also had a Smuttynose Baltic Porter. Value is decent - about $7 for a glass (can’t recall if it was a full pint). The food is delicious and not outrageously expensive. As a plus, Gottino is open until 2am so it is a fantastic spot for a late-night - but delicious and well-made - snack. Ambiance is exceptional. The long, marble bar serves as the the main focal point, with much of the food prepared right behind the bar for all to see. There is also an outdoor seating area, which is quite pleasant. Not a fantastic beer destination, but a fantastic location at which you can get a great beer.

  • Review 65 (2021-11-08 - Rating: 5)

Such a nice experience! Bartender (and presumed owner) was well versed in wine. Selection of food small but hearty. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!!

  • Review 68 (2020-12-22 - Rating: 5)

We got married during pandemic. In the back patio Super safe. Michael the owner went out of his way to make sure all safety measures applied and we would still enjoy a romantic experience. Food beyond good. Red wine sooooo good. Sergio our waiter did a stellar job super nice and very professional. Everyone should come here everyday

  • Review 77 (2017-07-04 - Rating: 4)

One of the most dependable bars in the area. Great selection of accessible wines and beers served alongside a small selection of well-executed tapas. The ambience can go from intimate and quiet to loud and happy, and back to quiet within the span of two hours. Always a great space to visit.

  • Review 78 (2022-06-24 - Rating: 5)

Great spot for small bites and a drink

  • Review 79 (2013-05-27 - Rating: 4)

The place is really cute but cramped. I loved the ambiance and the coffee looked great. The menu is kind of faded so its hard to read. Eggs are steamed so get crepes if you dont like that. The service & staff were really gracious. I would come here again. Its a nice date spot.

Probably my favorite wine bar in NYC

  • Review 85 (2018-10-19 - Rating: 4)

A nice setting for both dining and gatherings for smaller friend groups, though very dimly lit even by New York standards. (wish it was as bright as the photos)The menu is good and fresh, and the preparation of rabbit pot pie was perfect: tender and delicious while other restaurants Ive tried it have left the meat tough and chewy.

Just had a lovely lunch here with a friend. He had baked crepes with robiola cheese & prosciutto, I had a delicious crostini with artichokes. Then we spilt a plate of three cheeses. I had an excellent Barbera from their wide selection of wines by the glass. They also have really tasty panini and salads and cold cuts. There is a nice little backyard where you can dine and drink when the weather is nice. This is my go to for brunch and drinks with friends.
