The atmosphere is fantastic, whether dining indoors or outdoors—both options are equally enjoyable. While the food was fresh, I found the flavors a bit subdued for my taste and felt that some dishes could benefit from a bit more seasoning. We started with the snow pea salad, which was wonderfully crisp and refreshing. For a hearty main course, the Chicken Milanese is a solid choice, though I’d prefer it pounded thinner. It’s quite meaty, so if thats your style, you’ll enjoy it. My son’s buttered pasta was a standout for me—perfectly cooked Spaghettoni, simple yet delicious. The meatballs were impressively light, and the sugo had great flavor, though both could’ve used a touch more salt to really bring out the best in the ingredients. The mushroom bruschetta, while pleasant, also lacked a bit of depth in flavor. That said, I’d definitely return. The experience was still enjoyable, and next time, I’ll just be sure to have a little salt handy to enhance the dishes to my liking.

Every dish came quickly and nicely plated. The staff worked well together as a team and the food was delicious. I tried three of the Four entrée at my table and had three appetizers. The Brussels Sprouts Gratin were my favorite with the Arancini Al Limone (fried cheese rice balls) being a close runner-up. Im not a big mushroom lover which is why I didnt say the Bruschetta Funghi as a favorite, but the bread itself was delicious. For my entrée I ate the Gnocchi Al Porcini

We did not have a reservation and were seated immediately. The server was friendly, but it took a while to get our check. We got the burrata and seafood salad, both were excellent, the seafood salad had a nice dressing and was very fresh. The mains, the veal and the seafood pasta salad special were good, very filling.

Having just moved from Italy, it was great to find authentic and tasty food here. The owners and staff were warm and welcoming, and the location is charming in a lovely neighborhood. Highly recommend! Loved the crab pasta, the pesto and shrimp pasta, the cacio e pepe and the fried fish!

I live in the neighborhood and was craving some pasta. We found this place just by walking around the food and drinks are amazing. Honestly did my expectations.We had the carpaccio of thinly sliced filet mignon to start. For entrées so we had crab meat pasta, and Reina. We also had some Tuscany wine delicious cocktail with gin and Prosecco.For dessert, we ordered Panna cotta, which is exactly what I wanted. They even put a candle on it and saying happy birthday to my husband.Price is very reasonable. Dinner was satisfying recommend 10 out of 10.

An excellent spot in downtown Manhattan in an area that sorely lacks reasonably priced chill spots where you can meet with family and enjoy a selection comprising both interesting and safe options. Good service with minimal waiting and an attentive waiter that doesnt go overboard. The quality of the food and wine were on point and I wouldnt hesitate to come here again if I find myself nearby.

Loved this authentic Italian restaurant near South Street Seaport: great food, wine and ambiance! It’s a nice area to walk around and the weather was mild enough to sit outside. It was perfect for people watching while we sipped on a glass of wine.Service was excellent and we were seated promptly as we had made reservations ahead of time. I had the Cacio E Pepe served in a crispy cheese bowl and roasted brussel sprouts which were both delicious. My daughter had a lobster pasta, not on the menu, but a recent special that they accommodated and she loved. We capped the dinner with a light and beautifully presented Italian dessert.All in all, we enjoyed our time at Osteria Del Porto and would visit again. It was a great find in the Financial District!

Johnny was our server and he gave top notch service. Made the entire experience 5star. The food alone was beyond our expectations and was excellent (lacking better words). Divine! Stopped by here for a spontaneous summer dinner while walking my dog. We were sat outside by the lamp post. They immediately gave my dog some water. The lamb ragu pasta was delicious but not overwhelmingly rich. But it was the tiramisu that took it home for me. Wine was also good. Good value for money. Staff was really nice, attentive, and competent.

We stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely this restaurant was.Food was tasty, and serving size was perfect for us. We were both full without feeling uncomfortable. I had the Gnocchi which was one of my favorite; so soft like eating a tasty marshmallow cloud that was covered in sauce. My husband also loved his main as well.We saw families with kids eating outside, I didnt see a kids menu, but saw that they were served pasta with some cheese to add on. I assume the restaurant was also dog friendly because there was a beautiful hound... or maybe beagle sitting beside us.Overall we would return to eat again with our toddler and dog in toll.

Very decent food at this Italian joint and cozy atmosphere.We had a nice dinner on a girls night out, our server was terrific and the food was delicious.On appetizers, we tried Octopus Carpaccio, Burrata, and the tasty Brussel Sprouts Gratin. For main course we ordered Boneless Free Range Half Chicken, juicy tendered meat. Spaghettoni pesto e gamberi Pasta was pretty good and the special of the day (veal) was delicious.

Visiting from Ormond Beach, FL and found this gem of a place. Greeted very friendly and the server was always to ensure that we were enjoying the drinks and apps. We had a couple apps and a few drinks (Wine). The wine list was very nice and very complimentary to the foods. Really enjoyed ourselves and it was also nice to relax. Reminisce to days in Italy. The only reason its not 5 star across the board is because Im a redneck whos happy at Shake Shack or Waffle House.Its a bit fancy for me, but if you want a nice place to take a date and impress with good food and atmosphere, then this is a great place.

My daughter and I happened upon this gem during our walk around Seaport. Everything about our lunch was great- the ambiance, the service, the drinks, and of course the delicious food. We chose the Mushroom Appetizer, Cacio e Pepe, and Linguini and Clams. Our server Leo was attentive and charming and made the experience even better. If you are in that area, you will not be disappointed!

Orlando is an amazing bartender. We sit and eat at the bar at least twice a month just for him. The owners are lovely and you can find them at the restaurant often. They are attentive and learn all the locals. Excellent spot in the seaport.

Secret, hidden gem, BEST authentic Italian in Financial District! I have been to Italy several times and this place comes close to authentic food and wine in Italy. Lots of Italian customers, servers spoke in Italian (I know a couple of languages). Owner always around (captain of the ship as he said to his staff in Italian), staff attentive, music in italian gets the mood right. I highly recommend going to this place from a worldly traveller who’s been there, done that…makes you dream back of returning to Italy!

Stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a bite to eat after a nearby happy hour.Im not sure there was anything memorable about our experience here, but Ive paid more for worse. The portions were generous and the quality was solid.The Baby Kale Salad came with ample veggies and not too much dressing. The Paccheri All Agnello was flavorful and al dente, while the Linguine Alle Vongole E Bottarga was generously full of clams.Throw in the dark, candlelit ambience, and youve got the ideal, affordable date spot by the sea.

The ambiance is a quaint elegant Italian cafe with an intimate bar and larger second floor space. The food is upscale Italian with larger entrees and smaller apps and side dishes we like to order like tapas. And the bartender is one of my most favorite people in the world!

So good, 4.5 Stars! The decor inside is shabby chic, which fits perfectly with the historic building, the service is attentive and the food delicious.Bread was fresh and airy. The cod with lemon risotto was super flavorful with purple rice that was well seasoned, perfectly al dente and had the most amazing lemon flavor without any bitterness. The pistachio crust on the cod was delicious; the only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the fish had a chewy texture like overcooked octopus. Beet salad with asparagus was great, nice balance of sweet, savory and fresh. Tortellini were yummy, good for kids. Overall an enjoyable experience!

Love this little Italian place, food is excellent, wine selection is vast, and the bartenders are very good with any cocktail you can imagine. Great date spot especially during the weekdays, it’s darker and a bit more romantic the most other restaurants in the area. Grab a glass of wine if you just want to sit and people watch too!

Was actually looking for a different restaurant when we stumbled into this little cozy place. Our host Leo was very polite and courteous and explained the menu to us. We ended up ordering the fried calamari,grilled octopus and soup of the day which happens to be beet as appetizers. As for entree we had the seafood risotto,branzino and clam pasta with white wine sauce. The meal was excellent. The atmosphere was very comfortable and easy. Will definitely return again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The staff is always very friendly, including the owners. They make us feel like at home. The restaurant is located in the historic Seaport, which is a gorgeous neighborhood. The food is very yummy, they have a great selection of wine, and the prices are set fairly. In the summer they have tables outside, so you can enjoy the nice weather and the pretty streets around it. Service is great and very efficient. I have never had any issues in my many visits. Its a little piece of Italy in NYC. I will be coming for as long and they are open. I always get the octupus, cacio & pepe or paccheri, and the chianti classico.

I have come to this restaurant a handful of times and has truly become a favorite of mine. The food is consistently good, the people are amazing and the ambience is just what you need after a long day in the city. I recommend this place to all of my friends and is a regular date night spot for my boyfriend and I. If you’re looking for a good meal, this is your place. You won’t be disappointed.!!

The food was great! Delicious pappardelle and chicken milanese. Their wine selection is so good and so is their hospitality! My husband and I had a great time and will be going back often. Perfect date night spot but also family friendly. The outdoor patio looks so nice - cant wait to sit out there when the temperature cools down

This place is excellent. Portions are nice and the food is superb. I’ll tell you, we went to go eat at the Tin building and the waits were too long and the service was not great. We decided to leave and went to this place and it was everything the Tin Building thinks it is, but better. The lamb shank was outstanding. We live in the neighborhood and will be back!!!

So happy I popped into this treasure in the South Street Seaport neighborhood. Its delightful, good ambiance, DELICIOUS FOOD! Ill be back!I got the gnocchi tartufo and its DIVINE! Started with a kale, fennel mixed green salad. Venetian Spritz is damned fine! Its next to perfect! And i just returned from Italy. .. so this was a great surprise!

Cozy, just romantic enough and casual. Excellent food. Old fashioned wasn’t the best, and the 2-person tables are pretty small, even by NYC standards! But it’s overall a lovely place to get dinner. Chocolate mousse and coffee were delicious. Lovely staff. Will definitely go again.

Osteria del Porto sits on a corner cobbled street block in the heart of seaport. On a weekend evening, its a flurry of activity indoors and outdoors - a great date night spot with plenty of tables for two.Cacio e Pepe is tasty (served in a cheese basket) although could have a little more pepe! Tiramisu was delicious!Weve also visited for drinks and they have a great cocktail and drinks menu.
