I threw a private event here for my girlfriends birthday, and I have to say it was the most seamless, stress free experience I’ve ever had.I worked with Ryan on planning the dates, times, and number of guests. The open bar price per person was so good, and it was 3 hours of open bar which is by far better than other bars in the city.They even started the karaoke a little earlier for us which was extremely nice. The staff was attentive, and super helpful during the party.They even have a local partnership with a pizza place which came at the exact time we asked, and they were only $15 a pie (can’t get better than that!)All in all, the experience of planning, allowing us to decorate earlier, and bring cakes before hand made the planning for my event so straight forward.I’ll definitely be coming back for football games during the season! Thank you all so much!!!

TONS OF FUN ! We were here 3 years ago and had a lot of fun. WERE BACK ! After dinner Downtown my wife and I jumped on a bus that took us close to Iggys. We walked in around 8pm and the joint was packed. All the guys behind the bar were great...Daniel got me a Bronx Brewery Hazy IPA and my wife a water. KARAOKE ! Lovely Wisdom was running the karaoke and kicked things off with a great song at 9pm. I was first cab off the rank with an old AC/DC classic. NOT BAD ! I got a good cheer from the gang. We had a nice chat with all the guys behind the bar...Mike, Gabriel, Daniel and sweet Miriam. THERES MORE ! Its $3 to get up and sing a song...pretty cheap I think and Wisdom was doing a great job. I hit the stage one more time with an old fav...an Elton John classic. The bar crowd joined in which made it more fun. WE LOVED IT !

Perfect spot for a night out or an event with a large party. Hosted a work event and the owner was a dream to work with - extremely forthcoming, responsive, and reliable. Hosted upwards of 60 people without an issue and was extremely flexible. Will look forward to future events at Iggys and more nights out!

I had a joint birthday with my friend at Iggys and we both had an amazing time. The process was super smooth. We were able to decorate and bring cupcakes. The deal was great and the bartenders were awesome. Everyone at the birthday gave great reviews and we all had a fun night! This place is a lot of fun. Nice rowdy karaoke in a very open room. Seating is a bit of a pain and the ventalation lends to it getting very warm from all of the bodies on the karaoke floor.Aside from that, they have good beer and you cant beat the entertainment.I am unsure about all days but on Friday night, karaoke is $2.00 a song. Bring some cash.

Wonderful dive for karaoke. Sing unabashedly to this mixed group of supportive patrons. We went to cap off the night for a bachelorette party and she kept wanting to go back. Tip extra to get your song pushed to the top of the line!Also, whoever runs their IG page was very responsive and helpful in setting aside space for us.

Myself and a couple of co-workers and family members went out for my birthday celebration for drinks and at the same time we watched the Knicks game in the playoffs against Indiana. As far as the ratings for Iggys I will start with the food.. I really couldnt rate the food on taste because I didnt eat any food. I asked one of the bartenders if they serve appetizers, and I was told that they only had frozen pizza.🤨. Secondly I will rate the service. The service was spot on! The Bartender served magnificent drinks, and the fact that he allowed us to go across the street to the pizza shop and get fresh pizza and sit at the bar and eat it while we watch the game I thought that was great. And thirdly I will rate the atmosphere the atmosphere was very hyped up because of the playoff game which is understandable but at the same time and had a calm welcoming flow. Meanwhile they had karaoke for all to participate for a fee of $3. So guys thats my rating and I would recommend this place to anyone who just want to go out on the night and have some drinks and do a karaoke or watch some sports or just Mingle. I will revisit Iggys in the future

Celebrated my birthday here with around 25-30 people and it was such a blast!! I’ve been a fan of the place since I moved to the neighborhood around 2 years ago but it was perfect for my party, they let us decorate and we dressed a theme of rock and roll, the MC/DJ was good at calling out the birthday and making it a fun time (also shout out he did a song and was an incredible singer, put us all to shame) we had a large section of tables reserved and the service was quick at the bar no long wait times, the karaoke line does pick up as the night goes on when it gets busier, but our party got quite a few songs in and everyone had a great time, recommend starting a party around 7 so everyone gets some drinks in and mingles before the karaoke starts at 8 and then you get some of your song requests in right away before it gets too busy, 10/10 recommend

We went on a Wednesday and the karaoke didn’t start until 9pm - which was fine by me since I just wanted to hang with my friends. The path to get to the big room in the back is a long narrow walk past the bar and patrons, which feels like a real bar experience.The ONLY food they had was a personal pizza that is frozen and heated up on the spot - I was just grateful to be able to get any food at all. It’s $9 for the pizza, which is decently enough sized that I was able to share a couple slices with my friends.Also, there are two bathrooms but the door to the one I used didn’t lock. I thought I locked it, but someone was still able to push it open.I had to wave my arm at 3 bartenders chatting with each other for a good 30 seconds before I could get their attention for my friend, who had been waiting much longer to order a drink.

Iggys is the best, especially for private events featuring karaoke!We hosted a friends birthday here, but it would also be perfect for a work party, a sports watch party, or any other event really.We worked with Ryan who is the manager. He does a great job organizing everything and is great at maintaining communication throughout the process. He also told me the bar hosts dance classes, bingo nights, a run club, game watches, comedy night, and much more. Ryan seems to be the guy that makes it all happen.The staff is incredible! Especially Kristy!Basically, everyone here knows how to have a good time, and you will too.

This place is a blast. Been going here off and one since 2003. If you are lonely, you wont be for long if you go to Iggys. Lots of friendly people wanting to mingle. Hold onto your hats!! If youre coming to Iggys, especially late night on Fridays and Saturdays, its a wild ride. On NYCs Upper East Side, it is surrounded by posh Irish pubs and upscale dining. But enter Iggys and youre not in Kansas anymore. Its rowdy and its crowded and Upper East Siders love it for exact!y that reason! The bartenders are doing the best they can under the crush, and they are some of the best most dedicated bartenders Ive ever seen. But if you get rude, demanding or impatient, you may not get that warm smile you were hoping for. Its a true taste of New York City! Soak it in and think about all the stories youll have to tell your friends afterwards...If you want to sing karaoke, then that will be its own adventure! Look around you. Literally EVERYBODY has put in a song. So you WILL have to wait! Heres my insiders tip: Decide your song immediately. Dont thumb through the Song Book looking for ideas, just go for it. The Karaoke Company here has hundreds of thousands of songs in the computer and they keep it constantly updated. Rush right to the front, put your song in. Basic price: $2. But what did I tell you? Its New York. We tip people here!! DJs are no different than bartenders, this is their grocery money. Follow that practice, and even a token gesture will get you appreciated. After you submit your slip, ask how long the wait is. They will give you the straight answer, no b.s. Appreciate that!It can be hard to find a seat. But be patient, order a couple rounds, and enjoy all the New York nut jobs, business men, musical theater students, medical professionals, Broadway talent and Real House Wives of Manhattan interacting, giving you a slice of the City you cant get anywhere else.

This place is by far my favorite karaoke spot in the city! with a great bartending staff and amazing dj (jason) you can’t go wrong here. i’ve made it a weekly thing to head over on tuesdays after work and it’s the highlight of my week. i definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun night with friends (:ps- they also have an adorable photo booth in the back!

This karaoke bar on the upper east side has the longest bar in the city. There you can enjoy a cocktail or beer while listening to drunk people try to sing their hearts out. Its fun, relaxing a place where you can let your freak flag fly.

If you love karaoke, you will love this place. There is a great vibe here. The staff is friendly and efficient behind the bar. The other customers are into the performances onstage and active participants. Dont expect elegance, dont expect glamour, dont expect pristine bathrooms. Keep a close eye on your coat, as I have had issues twice with someone walking out with mine. Other than that, I promise, you will have fun.

While performing in a play at Theater for the New City, I was scoping out pizzerias between the theater and the subway. There are three 99 cent pizza joints in close proximity. One is fair, one is really good, the other is Papa Johns. I had been to East Village Pizza and Kebabs and, Im sorry, but those two words just dont belong together. Then, just past Schnitz, I saw Iggys. I looked inside and really liked the atmosphere, so I went in.The little Spanish guy (is anyone Italian anymore?) took my order with a minimum of customer service, and I had to wait for the house pie to finish. Two minutes was really eight, but damn it if it wasnt worth the wait! Easily the best city slices Ive ever had!The crust was thin and doughy at the same time. Crispy and hot, The cheese was flawless, from tip to crust. The sauce melded completely. Nothing beats a fresh house pie and Iggys became my regular stop. I even got cast members of the play to go in and suddenly they had a new favorite place as well.Solid. The play ended and I miss Iggys.

Great place for karaoke and a beer. Seems to be a Hunter College hangout. Now I wouldnt call this place your typical Irish pub with large beer selection. Rather, its Irish pub meets karaoke bar meets a touch of sports pub. A narrow corridor/bar leads to a dance area in the back.

THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER ! My wife and I were totally enjoying our recent 8 day vacation in Manhattan, New York. On Wednesday, Sept 29th we started our day at 7.30am with a fabulous Aussie style brekkie (breakfast ) at the Bluestone Lane Cafe around the corner from the Hotel Beacon on Broadway ( where we were staying ). And then we worked our way through a bunch of really cool stuff on our long bucket list....The High Line, Little Island, Chelsea Market, Electric Lady Studios ( Jimi Hendrix ), lovely lunch at Bluestone Lane Collective Cafe in Greenwich Village, looking through a few record stores, amazing dinner at Eataly NYC Flatiron, seeing David Byrnes ( sensational ) American Utopia at St. James Theatre on Broadway. And we werent done yet..at 10pm we took a Lyft to Iggys on 2nd Ave. We had looked this place up and it didnt look or sound too divey. We walked in about 10.30pm and just as the description said there was a 100ft long bar ( in the long narrow space ) which we had to walk past to get to the karaoke stage at the rear. The bar was pretty packed and virtually no one was wresting a facial mask. We were wearing ours ! A sign at the DJs booth said $2 a song so I paid up front. At this time of the night...early for a karaoke bar ( Iggys shuts at 4am ) almost everyone was more interested in drinking than singing so I was next up to sing straight off the bat. Having just left David Byrnes American Utopia on Broadway after singing along loudly ( with my mask on same as everyone else ) to the encore number Burning Down The House....I was a bit hoarse in the throat. I asked the DJ to let another dude go ahead of me. They had a good sound system with a small elevated stage. THEN IT WAS MY TURN ! And I chose to sing Hang on Sloopy which I thought I performed ok ( surprisingly I was totally sober ). I got a big cheer from the lads up front and a couple of them asked me to do duets with them. But given the hour and the fact that no one was wearing a facial mask in a pretty packed bar...we hit the road. BUT IT WAS FUN !
