    Ive been to many karaoke bars, but Karaoke Shout is a standout. Sometimes I dont feel like heading into the city, so I end up here, and its always a good time. The bartenders are super down-to-earth and chill. The crowd is always in a great mood, and you get to meet people from all walks of life, bonding over a shared love of singing. The atmosphere is filled with good vibes and, of course, plenty of vodka—sing well, and theyll make your drinks extra strong!The prices are excellent, especially the room rates, which are much cheaper than in the city. For the best experience, book Room 11 for a big party or Room 10 for a smaller group.No food but great empanadas across the street to satisfy your cravings. And a decent deli next door. They let you bring it in!If you become a regular, make sure to go on Tuesdays—thats when the coolest crowd hangs out. It’s the perfect amount of people too you will definitely get a song in and meet fun locals who are very engaged with the Astoria community.5 and a half stars. If you vote 1 star then you are probably the jealous competition—but there is NO competition!

    An awesome place right on Steinway. They have a common area or you can rent a room. Each room comes with an iPad controller or you can download the app to your phone and work it that way. Great selection of beers. Rooms come in different sizes. They need to be cleaned up better in between use, though. The floor was wet and sticky with drinks. Other than that, we had a great time would come back.

    The Ultimate Karaoke Experience for My 30th Birthday!I celebrated my 30th birthday at this karaoke spot, and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the energy was perfect, and the staff made sure everything went smoothly. The song selection was huge, with all my favorites (and some hidden gems) ready to belt out! The private room was perfect for our group, and the sound system was top-notch. Whether you’re a pro singer or just there to have fun, this place has it all. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to ring in a new decade – great vibes, great friends, and unforgettable memories. There was also Highly recommend for anyone looking to celebrate in style!

    I LOVE me some karaoke and when I found out Astoria had some karaoke vibes going on, I couldnt help but check it out! I had seen this place directly by the R train one day and I told myself I would! Today was finally that day.It was an overall chill vibe and the people who worked there for that aesthetic. You have the option of singing out loud to a crowd of people OR you can rent a private room. Now heres what to KOTE about the private room--the karaoke rooms themselves are not very insulated to block out the sound from outside so you will have the music from outside bleed through a little. However, that in no way stops the fun!What I loved about this karaoke set up was the fact that they had their own karaoke, but you could also YouTube your own karaoke songs from YouTube! Legit, the world was your oyster in there and if a karaoke exists out there for it you can sing it.Ultimately, it was a cool spot and Id come back again. Its fun to have a karaoke spot right in Astoria!When I get back I have to take pictures (it was 2am and quite dark when I got there).

    My friends and I love this spot. We recently celebrated my friends birthday. We rented a room and we decorated the room and brought in a cake. We got drinks at the bar. This is not the 1st time we have attended. The staff is always friendly and nice. I would recommend it to anyone. If you just want to hang in the main room thats fun too!

    They dont serve food, however you can bring your own and Sébastien was absolutely amazing. Great customer service, and very reasonable. I have been to quite a few karaoke rooms and this by far is the best. Rooms were really pretty and people were very friendly. Lastly the place was immaculate, including the restrooms.

    I went almost two weeks ago and the experience was great. Even if you are waiting for a room there is a public karaoke bar you can enjoy. They have a huge selection of music. We were looking for a Spanish music night and this spot delivered. Loved it!

    Love going to Shout, always have a great time. The drink prices are okay, not the cheapest but reasonable for the area. Love the private karaoke rooms, great for going with a couple of friends. The control the tablets give is great, and being able to YouTube search songs they dont have is awesome. Sometimes if you end up in a room too close to the front, the loudness of the karaoke from the main front room can bleed in which is annoying, but if you get a room further towards the back youll have a great time.

    Very good selection of songs and quite a few private rooms. Cost is $6 ($8 with included gratuity) per hour before 8 (maybe weekdays?) and $10/$12 after 8. Their large frozen margarita is pretty large.The room weve been in twice has been a little over air-conditioned, so maybe bring some layers in case youre in the same one.

    I went to this place with my friends on 1/5/2023 to start the New Year off right. We had a great time in one of the private rooms! We had an extra friend stop by our room for about half an hour, but Shout didnt charge extra for that (someone else came late and left early, so it evens out anyway). They definitely priced it reasonably. On our way out it wasnt busy, and the staff let me sing a song at the bar and were inviting us to come back again.

    The song system is awesome and very easy to use. You can search by song name or artist name. No time wasted on trying to queue up the next song. Everything is sanitized before they give it to you. Microphones have covers. You’re allowed to bring food inside! They don’t interrupt your time by knocking on the door 20 times like some other places I’ve tried… They charge down to the half hour which is nice because some places make you pay for the full hour even if you only go 30 minutes over. The general atmosphere is comfortable and good vibes. Only $5 per person per hour! I will definitely go again. They could use some more staff though, the gentleman working there looked a little overwhelmed. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    The food was absolutely delicious. To start I had the esquites and the tlayuda. The fish tacos with the chipotle mayo had great taste. The chicken enchiladas were so fresh and tasty. The drinks were on point and the DJ had a great mix of music playing. Great place to start the night.

    Came here for my birthday after dinner nearby and honestly had a amazing time. The room for us 10 was spacious and we werent on top of each other. I haven’t had the food here yet but based on the reviews & pictures ,I need to check it out! I really enjoyed how fast the service was considering it was 10 of us ordering cocktails and beer buckets and think the service button inside the room is very helpful. Will def be back!

    Had 2 experiences here. The first time we booked a room and some people left early. The front was very rude about this when I told them. There was also a lot of other charges. The second time I did open mic w a friend it was alot better. The workers were nicer and attentive. I would definitely say stay for an open mic I wouldnt really go back there for a room. I honestly wouldve given this place like 1 or 2 stars if I hadnt gone that second time.

    LOVE the staff there. And the private rooms are great!! Except for the temp. Either blasting AC or none. But everything else was great. The fishbowls were delish. And they dont skimp on the booze either. The song selection was great, and we could hook our phones to it to control it. Will definitely be going back there.

    Best karaoke bar in New York! They have a wide array of songs to pick from and did a great job of transitioning the songs quickly and seamlessly. Our bartender Sebastian was always checking in on my group. He was friendly and really can sing . The bar had some great vibes and I will definitely be back.

    We love coming to this place for the private rooms. Im not a huge karaoke fan, but I love coming here with friends to hang out and be silly together. Lots of music options and different settings to fit your karaoke style. The rooms are a bit tight for larger groups so it can get cozy and a bit warm in the rooms. The staff is great and helpful. The drinks are mid, but not too pricey during happy hour. You can bring food or order in - Mamas Empanada is across the street which is always a solid option.

    Sanitize mic and booths. Good and updated music! No so busy hours from opening til 8pm for obvious reasons ($5 an hour per person) then after 8pm busy.     A fun time here. Private rooms and public singing area. Lot of reverb on the tracks which can really cushion your voice. Friendly bartenders, pay per song. Worth it to get there early to get a lot of singing done. After 11 anything goes.

    I really wanted this place to be a five. However the tone deaf guy singing in the front of the bar was so loud that he was heard loud and clear not only in the back room where we were singing closed door, but 100 feet away after we left with the front door closed. Dont get this review wrong though, its still a great place to do karaoke. The mics were clean and they use the healsonic app commonly used at many karaoke joints. I think when that guy sings they just need to turn down his mic for the sake of everyone else. At least he provided us with a laugh as he seemed to be strangling singing cats.

    Good spot for karaoke though there is room for improvement. Karaoke places are not too common in Astoria, but this one does a good job filling the void. The staff was great ; very welcoming and flexible with our party and attentive to our needs. The room itself was spacious allowing us to have fun moving around while singing. My only complaint would be that the remote (tablet) was rather slow. This however was countered with the convenience of being able to connect and control the playlist via a mobile app.

    Very fun hang out spot! Everyones there to have a good time. They accept reservations for 8+ for the rooms but if you’re less you can either take a chance and be put on the waiting list or just use the little cards at the bar to request a song for $1-$2 . The drinks are string which will get you in the mood to sing even if you cant get a private room! Great atmosphere! They also serve pitchers and fishbowls

    The private room for 20 people was so cool. A/c worked well. There wasnt seating for 20ppl but it worked out, so I room was spacious and nice decor. The song selection was pretty good but think needs an update. The worker was exceptional and very helpful. He assisted us with anything needed. Since we had teenagers with us no liquor was allowed in the room which sucked but it turned out successful. We brought in pizza and cake with no problem. Ordered pitcher of sodas for about $9 each. Great fun experience.

    I took a few friends from out of town here and they had an amazing time. The drink specials caught our eye but it was the bartenders that made the evening. The private rooms are well looked after; the shared karaoke space by the bar is a where all the fun is however! Helps that the subway is nearby along with late night eateries for afterwards.

    So my zumba students from 24 hour fitness arranged a karaoke and dinner outing. They invited me along and we went to this place called Shout karaoke in Astoria. Anyone who knows me knows that I love karaoke, and for many years, karaoke was a staple in my life. These days I don’t do it out often, but I regularly sing on the smule karaoke app. However, this Saturday reminded me why I loved doing it with friends so much. We had a great blast and lots of laughs.Shout Karaoke is on Steinway, it is an easy commute on the R line and we got there fairly quickly and easily. In the front they have a bar area where you can drink and sing if you like, much like most karaoke bars. They also have small and fairly large group rooms where you pay a set rate per person per hour. For the room we got, before 8pm, you pay $5 an hour per person and you have a minimum of 15 people. After 8pm it goes up to $9 an hour. I think the room prices are fairly reasonable.We didn’t drink any alcohol so I can’t comment on the liquor prices, but our ginger ale was about 3 bucks a pop, which is fairly reasonable for a bar like setting. As far as the music selection, they have a pretty modern setup with both book and tablet access for searching music. The selection is fairly extensive both in Spanish and English. The space was clean, cool, and the staff was super friendly.I will definitely return here for karaoke in the future. Awesome gem in the Queens area.

    Pros: the private room itself was very fun! Once my party actually got into the room everything was fine. There was enough space for all of us and all of the equipment worked with no hiccups. The service was also very prompt when ordering from the room, we never waited more than 5 minutes for drinks or whatever else we needed. The drinks were also reasonably priced.Cons: the customer service in regards to pricing for the private room was fairly predatory. It was like they were trying to make it intentionally confusing so that they can charge as much as possible. I called ahead of time and tried to ask questions about the pricing and was met with short, impatient responses that didn’t really answer my questions (I am not sure who I was speaking to). They told me that for a large party (my reservation was for 23) they charge for a minimum of 12 people the whole time which makes sense. Then they said to have everyone check in at the front when they arrive so that we can be priced accordingly for how many people were there and for how long.When we arrived, our room was not ready and we had to wait ~20min to get in (we were charged for that time). When we got into the room I asked one of the servers how the pricing was going to work and she told me that they took a head count when we went in and then we should go up every hour to update them on how many people we had. We did this but still at the end of the night they tried to charge us for more people than we ever had in the room instead of with the updated numbers we gave them by the hour. Because or that it took us almost 20 min just to check out because the servers were running around and helping other people while also trying to debate us on the check. Eventually they printed a new check with the updated numbers, but it took a long time and a lot of convincing. They need to have a better system for tracking the number of people in the room and how long they are there so that you charged accurately.

    I had a blast here. I requested the private room with the YouTube option however once me and my group arrived the room wasn’t ready so it cut into our time. When it was time to check out I notified the front desk about it and he graciously adjusted the time for us bringing our bill down by a lot! We really appreciated that. I would give this place 5 stars however we had issues with loading songs/ finding songs on the tablet with YouTube. we had to type the song in multiple different ways to find it and also we weren’t able to skip songs that we qued up so it took time away from us but like I said we got our time back when checking out so it all worked out! Will def visit again

    I absolutely love this place!I love doing karaoke and i just moved to Queens so i needed to find a place that was close to home.When you go you can either rent out one of their rooms OR you can sing with everyone by the bar.I rented out a room a couple times and it was wayyyyyyy to expensive. They charge per hour, per person (the weekends are double the price). But if u sing by the bar its 2 bucks per song 😑However.. the drinks are strong and not that expensive and the microphones are the best i ever seen, super clear and the staff is very friendly.If u love karaoke your definitely gonna love this place!!!

    I had a great time!!! I’ve never been to a Karaoke bar and I was surprised that I enjoyed myself. My coworker actually works her and she and her fellow colleagues were on point.     Did not think you could find such a fun karaoke bar in Astoria, but here it is. They have the latest karaoke tech for both their main public room/bar, as well as private rooms in the back.Staff are beyond friendly (and good singers too!), and the drink prices are quite reasonable. Lots of regulars who are very supportive of anyone who tries to sing anything. Worth a visit for sure.

    We had the best time! We came here for my friends bachelorette fun as we wanted to do something low-key. The people were super accommodating and on point. Any questions we had were answered in great detail. They even went as far as to give us great dinner suggestions. They have a camera in the room that allows you to get great group shots that you can email to yourself for free. The process are fantastic. We had a really great time.     I had made a reservation and when i got their they had said there was no reservation because of an error. The bartender explained it all and was very calm and professional. He made all efforts to apologize and offered us shots and champagne to make up. His name was Sebastián, these are the type of people who make or break a place. Later after hanging for a few he informed us their was a room available!! The main bar has karoke and is a decent size. Fun ambience. The room itself was fun and many songs to choose from. Overall a great experience that couldve been sour taste in mouth and never going back to a awesome night and great experience, shout out again to Sebastián. Will definitely be back!!
