    Nice place for a small or large karaoke group. Staff can be called to your room and you can order food or drinks. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good place for a night out.

    This place was a 5/5 ⭐️We went there for our friend’s birthday a big group of 20+ people and the staff treated us so nicely!! The decoration is superb!!! And the music catalog is extensive which is where many other karaoke places fall short ironically. Would highly recommend!!

    Such a fun spot for karaoke. The bartender is a kick-ass singer herself, and helped me out since I lost my high register to a bout with strep throat a few weeks ago. Just be ready to compete with legit singers, karoake in the Broadway district is no joke (people can say “it’s just karaoke” all they want, and they’re usually the ones who can sing REALLY well 🤣).

    In a word, AMAZING. Wonderful space, excellent vibes. Staff is friendly, flexible, collaborative, professional. A total gem in this city. I cant speak highly enough about my experiencing hosting a small party here. Would give six stars if I could!

    I went with 2 friends and rented a private room for brunch which was 2hrs and ended up extending our time 2hrs more because we were having so much fun, they have a great selection of songs, the cocktails were delicious, the food was good too, everything overall is pretty nice, and the ambiance its everything! We had a great time, definitely recommend.

    Quite literally, the BEST karaoke bar in all of NYC! The bar owner himself, Raj, was nice enough to accommodate my family’s last minute reservation on what looked like a super busy night. He was very welcoming and professional. One of the bartenders, Emma, even came into our room and sang a song with us! My family absolutely loved it. Huge thank you to her. The drinks were super strong. Thank you Sterling! They do not skimp on alcohol (anyone that’s been in an NYC bar knows how watered down some of these drinks are). Juli, the host, was super sweet and helpful. Sisloob, Lina and Kristen were very cool. The energy and service is different. It feels like a family establishment with all the late night NYC hijinks. Will definitely frequent this place and have all my events here!

    Incredible! Albums, Albums,Albums...You say it and Sam (owner) will know it and get it. So many albums, many original pressed too, but Sam is so pleasant this is your best place for LPs. OH make sure you head downstairs for Karaoke extreme, I mean semi professional when I say extreme, so sing away!

    Being a reputable location witha long history I expected the bar to be set high when i walked in here. Granted it was a Sunday night the service should still be up to par and I hate to say it was not. They do not have enough bartenders/servers for there private rooms and general spaces. Their penne alla vodka was weird and def not alla vodka lol. There drinks are pricey and for all of the specialty tequilas and such that they had the bartender had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about and attempted to order them from the menu. They had karaoke and I can see how on a Friday night this might be a fun place to party for a few hrs with friends. The crowd here is definitely the 40 and under generations. If your having a party here make sure they have enough of a staff to support it. Theres a fairly friendly atmosphere. I would go back if prompted but I would eat dinner some where else first. There margaritas were not normal either 🤷‍♀️.

    Food was the best I had so far in a karaoke bar. The room got too hot for 12 people but we had a great time and service was awesome. They have a lot of Latin song too ;)

    Fantastic Karaoke venue! I’ve arranged multiple large group karaoke events here, both in the evening and for their weekend brunch, and every time the friendly staff deliver. Two of my friends have celebrated their birthdays here and as of summer 2024 so have I. The venue even offers a non-private area. Could not recommend this place more highly 👌🏻

    It is fun with a BIG group of friends. They have a lot of rooms but it is best to cal in advance to make the reservation because it get busy.Been here private events. Its a really pretty place & I love their selection. Great colection ! Prices are great & so is their bar. However rooms can get booked out fast. Friendly staff very helpful ! Very clean ! Good service !

    I came here with a group of girls for a birthday karaoke night (we had a private room) and I must say I had the time of my life! Good music choices, great service and drinks! I would definitely come here at least once a month‼️(Fyi, the bathroom upstairs is unisex.)

    Great experience. We reserved a room for our team outing and everyone had a great time. The reservation process was very easy. I sent them an email and received a prompt reply. They had happy hour going on until 7 which was great and very reasonable prices. We enjoyed the drinks and the large karaoke selection. Everyone who worked there was very nice.They also had open karaoke in the bar but we didn’t participate.Would definitely come back,

    As someone who’s new to karaoke this place was great. the staff is super nice and accommodating. i was part of a big birthday group in a private room and it was overall a great time. food and drinks came pretty fast, they checked in occasionally if we needed anything and allowed us to extend our time when our session was up. i’m planning on going back

    Place is pretty cool. Prohition era style entrance: ground floor is an LP store while the actual bar is downstairs (it is much much bigger downstairs).Upon heading down the stairs, what greets visitors first are the karaoke rooms and a karaoke bar. Further inside is the real bar where people hangout.The decor is very retro, with lots of industrial era neon things. Crowd is mostly young working professionals.Music isnt too loud, and there are lots of seats. Toilets are clean. Great as a speakeasy where people hangout and ruminate on the nature of the universe.Only downside: I could be out of touch with NYC prices, but the drinks felt a little pricey.

    This is an extremely well put together space. There are private rooms and an open bar area. There is an amazing record shop on site. The atmosphere is friendly and attentive. The folks working the bar are amazing. Everything is put in place to make you feel welcome and to create a real great atmosphere. As you enter the space, youre greeted by a friendly face and are offered all the help you need.This is a fantastic place to come as a group, for birthday parties, or even going out for some fun with co-workers. With co-workers. Recommend this place. Definitely cannot wait to go back.

    I’ve been to RPM Underground several times now and it’s always a blast. Service is amazing, the staff is super nice and helpful, the price is very reasonable, and the amenities are awesome! Most songs have the music videos playing also which is cool. Definitely puts the KTown karaoke places to shame. Love it!

    The room was really nice, but I feel scammed, we arrived at 11:40 pm and the hour drink premium per person was $42 but the lady that was serving us came at 12:20 (20 minutes before the first hour ending) telling us that the hour was over and if we wanted to have an extra hour. I basically paid $84 just for two hours and 2 Prosecco glasses, because the premium package just included the alcohol plus one juice, not mixed drink.

    Birthday celebration here surpassed expectations. We did brunch, the food wasn’t ideal and only breakfast chefs were present so we couldn’t get anything else on the menu. Aside from that, we had a great time.

    My friends and I had a BLAST at this place! We rented a room for 2 hours and just sang our hearts out. The drinks were great, and we went during happy hour so everything from the room to the drinks were 50% off! If you dont rent a room, you can still sing at the regular bar, but you need to pay $3 a song. All in all, the vibe was perfect, the place is clean, and I am definitely coming back!

    Was there for a friend’s birthday party and had a great time. Drinks were a little pricey but to be expected in the city — if that’s what upsets you, stay home. Staff and service was wonderful as well. Just wish they’d check in a little more often even just for remote/TV help

    RPM hits what you need: karoake bar, huge song selection, and access to good drink options with heavy-handed bartenders.Honestly though, what makes this location a winner is the people who work there. Forgive any spelling errors here, but weve had events set up and tended to by Raj, Emma, Kristen amongst others? And they are literally part of the reason the times we had there went so well. Weve sang with them, theyve been nothing but professional and kind to us, and we have no reason to even consider going anywhere else for karaoke because theyre the best. I love RPM, but it wouldnt be fair to compliment the establishment without giving the all-stars who work there proper credit.In short: fun establishment, great staff, always have fun when I go there. Cant wait to go back.

    We came as a large group and had a wonderful conversation with the bouncer to start. Room was spacious and I loved the tech the room had- super easy to queue up songs via remote, and love the fact that they had a book of top songs used to do karaoke. Super solid place!

    I came here with some coworkers for a birthday party and we had the best time. All the staff are so courteous and hospitable, plus they treated us to a free round of birthday shots! The selection of karaoke songs is super comprehensive and fun. Afterwards, they showed us around the entire place (it’s huge!) and the vintage decorations from the owner’s personal collection are so neat, and add a very unique touch. Very wholesome and lovely place. We’ll definitely be back :)

    Wow, truly amazing staff. I go to school at a nearby medical college, we often come here to blow off steam of our long and hard clinicals and semesters of lectures. The bartenders always make the experience excellent, pulling us out of our shells to sing and really have a great time. Thanks for everything Raj, Kristen, Sisloob, Emma, Julie, Sterling, and others for making every time a great one! 6 Stars

    Such a good place. A hidden gem in Times Square. I have never had a bad night there. The one thing I will say though is that the singers are really good. Clearly some Broadway or off-Broadway folks showing off their mad skills. If youre embarrassed to sing, just book a room and belt out some bad tunes among friends. Equally as fun.

    This was a hidden gem not only did I feel like a tourist in a city I havent lived in over 20 years; I felt so understood; the record store was the icing on the cake. I facetimed my husband and he had me digging in the crates I found some gems for him and WE WILL be back when I visit again THANK YOU Lena for exceptional service!!!!

    Was fortunate to find someone to go with to tryout some karaoke. At 8:30 there were only a few people. The clientele were incredibly supportive and warm. People had great voices and harmonized beautifully. Couldn’t have wished for a better experience. The staff were friendly. attentive and fun. My drink was $17 and it was $3 a song. No other fees. Worth every penny. The place started to get busier around 11.

    Staff are all very courteous and quick to serve. The whole place is very well-designed and definitely has a really fun, unique vibe. Signage on the outside storefront is obvious and easy to find for large gatherings. Their VIP service is also innovative and is sure to grow in popularity as this place becomes more widely known. A great place to be for a fun night out.

    The bar has a very welcoming aesthetic. Even though it occupies a basement the ceilings are high and the charm of the music theming makes the environment really pop. The only criticism I have which is why I gave this review of 4 instead of 5 stars is that the karaoke system they use has a more limited selection of songs than most other karaoke bars that I rate 5 stars, and the tracks often are out of sync with the teleprompted lyrics. There are also often issues with the mics not working well or getting a lot of feedback from the speaker syste. If they updated their system in the main area I would rate this establishment 5 stars. The staff is charming and diverse. They not only display a positive attitude and behave as though they really enjoy their jobs, but also many of them will participate in the karaoke and have great pipes! The curated cocktails are on the more expensive side, and cater to a mostly sweet pallet rather than presenting a spectrum of flavors. Overall I have attended this place twice so far and would go back, though I prefer other karaoke bars in Manhattan more.

    Love this place. My only problem is that they charge the karaoke fee all the time even if you’re the only one in there. I know thats asinine but what else am I supposed to do while alone in a karaoke bar?But!!     I wanted to celebrate Me and My BFFs bday as a Karaoke Night, so I googled karaoke in nyc and this was one I found. I just want to say as a first time karaoke night for me I enjoyed every single moment there. The room, employees, drinks wow I’m in awe I had the best time of my life with my friends!     The karaoke and all-you-can-drink packages are much better priced than the competition, but the karaoke software is annoying to use and the wifi doesnt work half the time so youre just stuck with the songs in the book. It would be nice to have more of a selection for those into more obscure music.

    Ok so I didnt know about the downstairs room...I just saw this record store on Facebook and I wanted to see if for my self...I havent been on the subway for awhile but I took the trip from the Bronx...I saw some albums outside and they even had a box that said free albums I took twoGoing inside the guy behind the counter was really niceI told him I was looking for a jazz album that was Louis bellson and Gene Krupa playing drums together..we looked at the drums sectionThen under the L name and then the G name but they didnt have it ... not too many stores does.I ask him about the 45s... and he said you have to go down stairs and we did he told me about all the different types of music and he left me alone and I didnt see anything in the singles that I wanted... but then there it was a African drummer Olatunji album.In beautiful condition it only cost 18.00 dollars.I will be back again.... this was August 26-2023

    Absolutely the best place for karaoke and drinks in Manhattan! Private rooms (each themed) or larger bar areas, sing your heart out here in midtown. Great place to host an event or party. Friendly staff and awesome artwork and antiques decorating the walls. From now on this is our go to place for karaoke in NYC!

    Went to their debate party and the venue is *perfect* for this! Lots of space, unlike some of the other debate parties I attended. My one complaint would be their drinks are severely overpriced. $17 cocktails at a karaoke bar??? Its borderline absurd. I know this is NYC but I dont even pay that at premium cocktail places. Definitely go, but pre game elsewhere.

    We booked a private karaoke room for three hours because a friend recommended the place and it didn’t miss. Really good selection of songs, a small but reasonable menu of food, and a wide array of drinks to enjoy the night! The service was excellent, everyone was super attentive and they made sure that the reservation was secured and adequate for our needs beforehand.

    Such a sick place! I was with a huge group of friends and we wanted to find a fun karaoke to go to. RPM definitely delivered. Good song choice with a mix of new & oldies, and there’s private rooms available. It’s located in the basement of a record shop so unless you know it’s there, you probably won’t stumble upon it. The decor is a mix of old school mechanic and lots of neon lights, really cool overall. Best part was the bartender started singing too, and he was really good! Loved it, will be back!

    Had a great experience when visiting New York for a few days recently.If youre wondering they do have an open room with karaoke, so you dont _have to_ reserve a private room. There wasnt a big crowd, but the people who are around are lovely. Bartender Joseph was friendly and helpful with singing. My second time wasnt as great as the other bartender wasnt always around and some of the playbacks were faulty and she wouldnt react until someone called her over, but still had a great time.Theres no entry fee, but you pay $3 per song request (or is it $2? I think its $3...). Drinks cost about the same they do in any other bar.Be aware they have a website with a full list of songs, the catalogue on the table is just the most popular ones. The address of the site is on the cover of the catalogue but its easily missed.10/10 would recommend, Im definitely coming back when Im back in NYC.

    Absolutely love this place… If you love Karaoke like I do you must visit! They have an extensive list of songs to choose from which is updated regularly, great drinks and wings and best of all an awesome crowd! Everyone is so much fun and supportive, and with the close proximity to Broadway you’re likely to witness some amazing performers.

Given my group size, there was one specific room that made sense (the Avengers room), so I specifically inquired about that one. I worked with Raj, and he made the process seamless. I understood all charges, made the deposit, paid my balance that night, and everyone had a truly great time! Would definitely return!

    I love coming here for the open karaoke sessions. So much fun to meet new people and sing with them, all the bartenders are nice and attentive! I’ve introduce all my friends who are willing to go out with me to try this place at least once and every time those shy-bodies had a great time! 10/10 would recommend! I typically spend 4+ hours here.

    Great place! Love the vibe and all the decor- and the place is huge with plenty of interesting private rooms. I had an awesome time singing and hanging out late one Wednesday night. Our bartender, Kristen, was incredible- she sang with me when I was too shy to sing by myself ( and wow shes a great singer!) and really was looking out for me when another patron was getting weird. Thanks Kristen! You rock!

    Great store and very helpful staff. Mostly used stock. I was told they’ve only been open for 8 months. Stock is mostly all bagged with post-it notes identifying the pressing, year, and where the LP is the artists 1st or 8th release (never seen that before). That takes a lot of work. Most everything I bought looked like it had been well cleaned too. Prices are not cheap, but fair for the quality and detail. Interesting organization for jazz by artist, label, and instrument. The crates at floor level are on wheels. Why doesn’t every store door this?

    I hosted a surprise 30th birthday at RPM and it was absolutely perfect. We did the bottomless brunch karaoke option on a Saturday afternoon. The staff was extremely helpful in the weeks leading up to the party to help me pull off the surprise. They helped coordinate balloon deliveries and allowed people to come early to set up. During the party, they went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time and were extremely kind. I had so many people come up to me during and after the party saying how much they loved the venue. I couldn’t recommend them more.

    I used RPM Underground for a karaoke party. They were substantially easier to work with than other venues- extremely responsive over email, competitive flat hourly rate for the room which included gratuity, and even held on to something I forgot to pick up a different night! Room looked great and things ran smoothly. Highly recommend!

    Loved the ambience of this place. Went with a large group(about 10+ people). Got their bottomless brunch package(I think thats what its called). Got the quesadilla entree and it was sublime! Their tater tots were amazing as well. The staff were very accommodating and gave us another room when we decided to stay past our given time. Just wished they gave us more utensils and napkins, etc. because we had to keep going out of the room to ask for more, being such a large group.

    This place is incredible! One of the best Karaoke bars with private rooms I have been to. The service was so friendly and fast. The room was uniquely decorated (six of us were in the jazz room) and the food was exactly what we needed. The fries were the crinkle cut kind and so crisp in the outside - we all thought they were some of the best fries we have had in a long time. Happy hour was an amazing value, but would be totally worth it even without the amazing happy hour. Everyone in our group loved everything about it!

    Had SO much fun here for a birthday celebration! Booked ahead of time through the website and staff was quick to respond and helpful in explaining packages/deals. The day of, they confirmed the reservation via text. This was helpful because I was able to text and request if an additional person was able to join our group (which they were able to accommodate). When heading to the venue we were running a few minutes behind and I was able to text to inform them. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had originally booked the room for 2 hours but we were having so much fun that we asked if we could do another hour, which the staff was happy to do for us. The sound system was great and the song selection was as well. My only complaint is that the drinks were tiny and took awhile to arrive once the venue got busier. Despite that, would highly recommend karaoke here!!

    I’ve been to a few places karaoke around the city but RPM is hands-down my favorite. Every time I’m there I have an awesome experience. Great service, great food/drinks and a really awesome selection for karaoke. To top it all off, there are a group of some regular guests who are so friendly and inviting you would think that they run the place! The staff is also very friendly and among them are some WILDLY talented singers. This is always my go-to on a night out.

    Been once before and couldn’t find a better place in NY and NJ! This place is it!!I was planning my mom’s 60th and Raj was suuuper helpful and quick to respond. I had to cancel my plans unfortunately for my second trip to RPM but because of Raj going above and beyond I will never go elsewhere for karaoke and will sure spread the good word!!

    Rpm Underground is one of my go to bars when out with friends! Such a fun and judgement free karaoke spot! Bartenders have all been great and there’s always multiple groups of fun people here! Drinks are good and prices are fair for the area. One of my complaints is I wish there was more song selection. Sometimes we’ve had a hard time finding a lot of the songs we like. Otherwise I totally recommend checking this place out!

    Had a blast with my boyfriend. Drinks and food pretty cheap and reasonable. You can rent rooms, have a blast with friends privately and have a party or jam in the main room with everyone. Looks to be about 9 rooms. Old school music gear adorens the walls. Cant wait to go back.

    Had my birthday party here. 17 of us sang for 5 hours and the service was amazing. Shots were $5, buckets of $40 for 6 and prosecco$40 - $110 an hour for the room we had. The bar bill spoke for itself, we had an amazing time albeit a bit pricey but worth every penny

    Great place!!Had a Saturday night birthday party with 18 people and everyone had a great time! We booked a private room for two hours, and it was so fun we stayed there singing for an extra 1 1/2 hours.     The tech to choose songs is strange. Had to use a tablet to search songs but then get up to manually choose songs on the main device.
