My family and I went for Christmas Eve and although we had to wait a bit, it was truly worth the wait. Plus it’s always a great sign when the place is packed and everyone is enjoying themselves. We sat in the bar area for some drinks and were seated at a beautiful window facing the marina. Appetizers were delicious, especially the white arancini with honey, and the squid was beyond fresh and tender. Best squid I have ever eaten. I ate the Christmas menu special seafood fra diavola, and enjoyed every bite even the next day which I took home because portions are very generous which I appreciated. My mother ordered the seafood risotto… delicious. I must shout out the bartenders as well who made us delicious drinks and the servers who checked on us often. We had a great time and would come back again to enjoy.

Excellent views of Great Kills Harbor while dining. Food was excellent. Mozzarella coins, sausage and bean soup and fried cauliflower were very tasty appetizers. Fish tacos, grilled chicken and broccoli rabe sandwich and the marina cafe signature burger were enjoyed by all. First time having lunch here, but the lunch menu is just as good as the diner offerings. I would recommend Marina Cafe to friends and family for sure.

What a nice atmosphere for a birthday dinner. While we sat indoors because of the rain, they have an outdoor tiki bar area if the weather is nice. Food was delicious. Staff as friendly and attentive.The only negative was the staff they sent around taking photos of each table. It cheapened the dining experience. What we thought would be one photo turned into 10+ photos of our table. Eventually he comes back with all of these photos in frames (poor quality photos) trying to sell them for $20 a photo😳. My cell phone takes better photos.

I have been to this restaurant several times with family and friends and I can’t get enough of it. Eddie is the manager of this restaurant who is so awesome, accommodating, friendly, and attentive. All of the waiters are all great. The ambience has a great scenic view of the water front, the drinks are nice and strong the way I love it, food is fresh, seasoned and delicious, the service is fabulous and the overall environment is relaxing and comforting. The price range for meals is reasonable especially with the cost of seafood today. Parking is not hard to find whether your parking in the actual lot or off the street. For party size great than 3, I would definitely suggest making a reservations for meal times after 5 pm. Prior to that you could walk in and be seated with a table.

I had my sister’s bridal shower at the Marina yesterday and OMG it was perfect! Lou and Eddie, the owners, were so helpful and easy to work with, they really helped my vision for the party come to life as I was prepping and setting up. They were always so accommodating! The restaurant is beautiful with amazing views of the harbor, everything we ate was DELICIOUS all of my guests were extremely satisfied. The wait staff were all very friendly, professional and courteous throughout the event, HUGE shout out to them, my guests all had very kind words about the service. If you are thinking of having your party here DO IT!! You will not be disappointed!!

You can catch the Prie Fix meals Mon-Thursday before 7pm. Thursday they have pitchers of Sangria for 20 bucks ( normally 29). My co-workers and I go there annually to have a great meal! We always have great service and when we are done we go right next door to continue having a good time!

We new to Staten Island and we’re looking for a good restaurants marina café consistently came up as one of the best so when we had the opportunity we went for lunch it was Friday lobster day and we were in heaven six lobster dishes better than the next and non-disappointing the lobster with gnocchi Was a whole new level taste the lobster spicy sauce really hit the spot. It came with salad or soup and both were excellent. Of course we started with drinks and appetizers baked clams and clams on the house shell they were generous portions that did not disappoint by the time dessert rolled around we were too stuffed to even look at the menu, even though our waiter kept saying, but it’s included, we topped off the cappuccino and waddled out the door. I will go back! This place is worth all the hype and I’m glad I finally got to taste it for myself.

I recently visited Marina Cafe to celebrate a good friends birthday, and overall, it was a delightful experience with a few quirks.First off, the ambiance is beautiful—perfect for a special occasion. We were seated by a window with a great view, although the rainy weather kept us from taking too many photos there. Instead, we made the most of the lovely blue background in the lobby, thanks to our waiter, Largo (or something that started with an L). He had a charming smile, very distinct ears, and was a true gentleman. He even turned into our impromptu photographer, capturing some great moments!However, I have to mention that the service was on the slower side. My friend and I were having such a blast laughing and giggling that we didn’t mind too much. But had I been with anyone else, I might have been eyeing the kitchen entrance wondering, Where is my food? Despite telling Largo it was my friends birthday, there was no special birthday treat—no scoop of ice cream, nothing—which was a bit disappointing considering I spent $92 for lunch.The food itself was delicious but be prepared to season it yourself. If youre a fan of salt-free dishes or watching your blood pressure, this is definitely the place for you!Special shoutout to Marie, who greeted us upon arrival. Despite me being late for our reservation, she was incredibly accommodating, seating us immediately and bringing loads of fun and personality to our visit.In summary, Marina Cafe is a lovely spot for a leisurely meal with someone special. Just don’t come too hungry (or hangry) because you might find yourself waiting a while for your food. But with great company and a bit of patience, you’re sure to have a good time. Marvelous! Just visiting S.I. for the day and we were really not near the café but a friend told us it was excellent. For starters the Oysters were ideal and the Lobster bisque creamy but lite. Dont be disappointed when you first see the Seafood Sensation there is plenty of seafood swimming in that creamy risotto and the clam pizzette was filled with clams. And all that wonderful food is brought to you by professional, polite servers. Worth every penny of $30+ lyft ride.

I decided to visit this place after a long ride, mainly because of my friends recommendations. I must say, this place surprised me. It isnt exactly cheap, but its not overly expensive either, especially considering the above-average or might be even higher quality of the food they serve. The service, both outside and inside, was simply outstanding and maintained relatively high standard throughout. However, I did notice a few areas where they could streamline or offer more budget-friendly options without compromising the overall atmosphere and existing quality.

I would have given even 10 stars for atmosphere - but the music coming from the speakers all over the perimeter of the outdoor space was deafening and it was impossible to have a conversation. Other then that - I absolutely recommend this Staten Island gem

This place is beautiful. Very clean and updated. Fresh food and very nice service/wait staff. We sat by the window over looking the water and it just made the meal that much better. The food was delicious.But…..I would have given 5 stars but I just had one hang up. They have this huge gorgeous bar. I mean huge and stocked. But there were no cocktails list which I found surprising and a bit off putting. So I ordered a basic drink that all bartenders should know a cosmo. It was pretty bad. I think they should really utilize the bar. Get a list for one. Train the bartenders in some newer styles of cocktails as well as a refresher in the oldies.I would have ordered 2- 3 drinks with dinner but since the most basic cocktail was so off I didn’t want to risk it and just stuck to water. Next time I’ll probably just get a vodka soda if I do want alcohol.Other than that you go for the food. So delicious. And such a beautiful place.

A beautiful out of the way place on the south shore of Staten Island, my fish and chips was SOOOOO greasy and lacked any flavor or fish for that matter, my friends that ordered the steak had no complaint, or the salmon, maybe they should do away with the fish and chips, or make it fresh and not some frozen food. dessert was bland, the waitstaff rushed us and sometimes a little rude, and in the end he kept pacing for us to pay the check. The only nice person there was the valet.

I come here for the oysters and the great views of the marina though I am partial to since we dock our boat on the dry dock and have family and friends who dock in the marina itself. Great food , great service. But sometimes I feel they leave entrees under the heat lamps for a little too long. If there are no heat lamps then I think they overcook the fish just a little bit. This place is pricey but if you get the best items on the menu it is tottaly worth it. The service is always stellar. Staff is always extremely accommodating and friendly.

The restaurant was not crowded, but there was a waiter, a server, a bus person, so food was being brought out by everyone and in every instance we had to ask for serving spoons and dishes because the old dishes were spirited away the moment you stopped eating. more attention needed to be shown to the way the guests were moving along. also did not like that a credit card fee was automatically added to my check. we were paying in cash, so that fee of close to $6 should not have automatically been added. there was no option. poor judgment on managements part.All in all, a pleasant dinner

Had lunch today. Soup or Salad with a entree for $15.00 cant beat it. The food was so good. We had dessert however Mom and I were not pleased. Tiramisu was bland tasting and you didnt get that espresso taste until you hit the bottom point of the dessert glass. Brownies in the brownie & ice cream were hard and crumbled. Next time I am definitely getting the lunch but skipping dessert. PS the coffee was good. Oh pasta fagoli soup was more of a tomato minestrone BUT it was delicious. Was a perfect evening with perfect fiid and service. Went there for Valentines dinner. I had steak, lobster and creamed spinach. Steak melted in your mouth and the spinach was delicious. Portions were large. Even the pitcher of sangria was a real pitcherful. NO COMPLAINTS

We went to the Marina for my sisters birthday in the beginning of July - really nice. We were so happy we went back again for my mother and husbands in August. The food is terrific; there was not an unhappy person at the table. (Both times we were 9 people.) Some ordered a la carte others from the pre-fixe - which has awesome choices - and all were happy. The food is terrific - the stacked mozzerella, the Italian egg roll, and the fried mozzerella coins were favorites. The egg roll is basically a rice ball with a crispy egg roll outer as opposed to breaded and fried. The coins are a delightful play on Mozzerella sticks - and enough to share! We had all kinds of entrees from pasta to filet to pork chops - which are delicious; you can say we tasted the menu. Everything was cooked perfectly and presented in a timely fashion. The only disappointment was one of the desserts - it didnt appear to be homemade (sadly I cant remember which it was but believe it was the Tiramisu) and tasted a little old. But if thats our only complaint - it wont keep us away!Why only a very good for the service? Well it seemed that once our food was presented our servers would leave us - for a while. And it took a really long time to receive and pay our check. (I dont believe this is the norm so this also would not prevent us from going back!)The decor goes without saying - its a beautiful view of the Marina and the bay. Very serene and picture worthy!On a personal note - on our first trip I left my cell phone case containing my license and some other personal papers on the chair. 24 hours later - as I did have my phone - I remembered I left it there. It was in tact and with the hostess safe and sound for me to pick up. I really appreciate their safekeeping; its nice to know their servers are honest and trustworthy also as they were the ones to turn it over to be held.Cost per person was averaged out between a la carte and pre-fixe and included some drinks and the tip.

We went just to try it out. We havent been there for many years. I wanted to go to a restaurant by the water. The food was great we tried different things and my husband enjoyed them . The food was great more than enough service who were friendly . Expensive but you got what you paid for.

I went to the outside Tiki Bar on a beautiful summer day. Enjoyed lunch with drinks. unfortunately you cant get happy hour prices unless youre at the bar. two glasses of wine with about 3 oz of wine and each little cup cost $10 a piece! but the ambience was beautiful looking at the marina.

The cafe in the name makes it sound like a very casual place but it isnt. Its still a sit down restaurant by the water. Food and service are both good. The view to waterfront was a bit disappointing at night since there arent much activity or lights outside.

Very good experience. We didn’t have reservations and they told us 20 minutes. We sat in 5 minutes!!! Food was good as usual. The rib steak was juicy but cooked more than I requested. My wife had seafood risotto which she enjoyed. The Cream of Spinach was really good. Not too creamy, but tasty.

I went to the tiki bar to enjoy my dinner outside. Turns out they were short staffed for the night and I honestly did not want to end up waiting very long, but my waiter ( Adam ) was working so hard, I knew my food wouldnt have taken forever, and I was correct. He was excellent and the food was very good.

The food here is so delicious! Its fresh and just on point. The view of the harbor is sweet. The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff and great. Depending on what time and day you go the prices vary. Sometimes you can steal a deal other times like for dinner it can be costly. This place is great though. I would go over and over again. Definitely recommend it.
