Chef Robby and his team really have something special on their hands at Coral Omakase! What a phenomenal experience!! It was so well done that typing a bunch of words in order to convince others to go is futile….just do it! There will be absolutely no regrets! Make sure to add the wine/sake pairing to your meal!Thank you Chef for your adventurous artistry, exceptional execution and impeccable quality! -

One if the best omakases Ive been to in the last year, Coral is tucked away in a beautiful dining room hidden behind Point Seven restaurant at the Met Life building. Chef Robby Cook uses premium quality seafood for his dishes and its a nice mix of sashimi / crudo starters and sushi nigiri pieces. Each of the 17 courses is thoughtful, even the miso soup which had wild caught shrimp from Montauk. This meal was truly fantastic and felt personable. -

My partner and I dined on a Thursday night. This restaurant is hidden inside Point Seven. It felt very exclusive and intimate. The space was beautifully decorated and spacious for a 10-seater Omakase bar.Ive travelled to many parts of Japan and I will have to say, the ingredients they use are comparable, if not, closest to what youll find in Japan. Im more of a traditional sushi gal and so for me, the latter part of the fixed menu were my favourite. On the other hand, my partner enjoyed the first part of the menu. He appreciated the complexity of the sauces mixed together with the sashimi. We dont drink alcohol so we ordered 2 non-alcoholic beverages. My favourite one tasted like a pina colada. It was so good we ordered it twice.Overall, for the price point and the freshness of the ingredients used in each dish is well worth it. I would come back again for a special occasion, or, if I somehow win the lottery and can dine like a queen/king everyday. The only comment I have is I wish it had one or two more courses of hot food to offset the room temperature dishes. Nonetheless, I left very full and happy.Chef Robby was great. He interacted with all the guests and explained each course to you which I enjoyed.Give this place a try before it gets way too popular! -

Chef Robby is one of a kind. I could honestly say this was the best omakase I have ever experienced. The ingredients were fresh. The food presentation was on point. The service was incredible. The atmosphere was beautiful. My coworkers and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.I recommend to everyone to experience something like this at least once in their lives just so that you have point of reference! I plan, however, on going many more. -

In a (very) saturated omakase city, this was a extremely creative experience at a fair price point for 2024, and youre not going to leave hungry where, even at this price point, you might leave hungry at other spots. Getting to chat with Robby was a real treat, even if we might have talked about Taco Bell and Smash Burgers. My only criticism is the drink options aside from the wine list werent terribly clear, but the staff was very helpful when asking. Everyone was very friendly without being stuffy/pretentious. Keep in mind that this is a pre-paid experience, and anything additional purchased will be taxed and have automatic gratuity of 20% added. -

This was the most amazing omakase experience I’ve ever had in my life! The wine pairing is also incredible. Chef Robby Cook is beyond talented, knowledgeable and so fun to chat with! My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was one for the books! Highly recommend 👏🏼 -

So. we walked past this place randomly on a Friday night. Reviews seemed good and we were pretty hungry. Let me tell you this dinner and meal was a treat! Loved it.We ordered:- grilled faroe salmon- grilled swordfish al pastor with corn tortillas- basque cheesecake with almond brittleEach of these things were excellent. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Delightful to have. The lime with the tortillas and avocados are a treat. The cheesecake was divine and perfectly complemented by the brittle. None of the flavors in the cheesecake overpowered the other. Will definitely come back. This was an excellent meal!
