    TLDR: $3.50 for a large pistachio cold brew in NYC? Sign me up!If you download the app, you get an assortment of options for $3. If not, it’s $3.50 but these prices in NYC are extremely rare and the coffee is very tasty as well, I love the pistachio cold brew!! Definitely a great place in NY especially for the price

    I asked the hotel concierge for a coffee shop recommendation and he said “Matto”. Was a few steps from my hotel and quaint. This is a simple place with really good coffee and the kicker is “everything is $2.50” (when you use the mobile app) $3.50 in Store. The whole menu! This is coffee, pastries, and food perfection.

    Very friendly employees! The coffee is good; during our stay, we almost always got our coffee there for breakfast. Its convenient and cheap. You can also opt for a plant-based milk alternative for all your drinks for cheap; I find that very remarkable! Consider ordering via the app, as we did. The app is handy and easy to follow; your order will be ready when you arrive.

    I was staying in downtown Manhattan for a week and coming here regularly in the mornings. Even tho the place is small and doesnt have tables inside, its totally worth going to. The coffee is amazing, as is the pastry. cheap, tasty and cozy, the staff here It is the best and all the options I tried on the menu, none of them disappointed me. I recommend the pumpkin spice latte, the mocha coffe and the amazing chocolate chip cookie.

    I love Matto, I wish I had known about this place before. I used to pass by their branch in John St. in Manhattan and I thoughy their food and drinks were so cheap, and assumed theyre not good because its so affordable. How wrong I was! I love their banana date latte and their sandwiches, which are a lot better than DDs and Starbucks, and most food truck sandwiches. Also, I would like to give a shout out to Sultana of John St. branch for being an extremely courteous and friendly barista. Ty!

    It is a cozy place with quick and nice service every time! Really good tasty coffee and pastry! I like their app because you can order any drink or food for 2,5$. I recommend to try Ice Strawberry Latte, Mocha and Pistachio muffin.

    This is my favorite coffee chain in NYC and this location is where I almost always go. First of all, the price is right. However, the coffee is also fantastic, consistent, and on demand. I order through the app when I exit the subway and its on the counter when I reach the shop every time.What stops it from being a five-star place is the inconsistent maintenance of the outside seating. Sometimes it is clean and welcoming, and when it is its a great place to sit for a moment and people watch all the interesting sorts who traverse the streets. Other times, however, it is dirty and unkempt with some homeless or sketchy characters loitering in the seats. I hope it can be spruced up a little more regularly.

    Such a great bargain with delicious treats. Love the chocolate chip cookies and my favorite drink order is the banana latte with oat milk. Ive converted a bunch of my colleagues at work to fans! The app is easy to use and they make your order immediately.

    The man that ran this place made our mornings! He knew all of his customers which was amazing!Our eyes were barely open and he was chipper and kind! After 1 purchase he knew us and what we ordered & he was also kind to us!The flavor of the coffee is outstanding and I don’t know why any other coffee place should be visited this John street MATTO is fabulous and ladies if you takeAlmond or oatmeal milk there’s no up charge !!!     This location makes the BEST iced lattes! The lady and man who always work during the morning shift are so kind and always get my order correct. It takes them less than 5 minutes to make a drink which is great considering We’re all rushing to work. It cost around $4.50 for a small iced latte which is great compared to Starbucks :)

    Stopped by after seeing a sign offering free coffee! I asked the barista and he mentioned that this deal is for any of their drinks. I got a hot latte. I’m no coffee connoisseur but it was pretty good! The espresso was strong and did not taste watered down. Also, I can’t believe all of the drinks are $2! Most coffee shops’ coffee are double the price. Definitely will go to this place for my coffee fix even after the promotion is over :)

    The price is simply unbeatable. The coffee is decent, a bit over-roasted, however youre paying 2.50 for it. What can you expect? The folks who work here are always amazing though, fast service and very nice. I really appreciate that the low cost of coffee leaves lots of room to tip!

    Im so happy that this location is here. Most of my time is spent in the WTC area so its very convenient. As always the coffee is excellent.... My drink of choice during the summer months is an iced red eye, and pastry is usually the almond croissant. I never have any complaints about the beverages or the food. And the barista is as sweet as can be. Very friendly, and no matter what my mood always brings a smile to my face. My only issue is that theres a little seating area outside, which most times Id like to sit for a few minutes and enjoy my coffee and pastry, but its almost impossible to do so with individuals(99% of the time theyre not even customers) smoking both cigarettes and the other. As a non smoker its impossible to enjoy...

    Cafe is perfetto! Their bites: amazing!!! Egg white & spinach frittata is egg-cellent!!! No dairy either! The potato boureka is also simply amazing! Have it warmed up so it’s nice & crispy. I love the fact that they have these vegetarian options. I’m really sensitive to dairy so this place is ideal for me!

    I get my coffee here every morning! The staff (Beck & Stolvana) are so friendly and remember all their regulars. Coffee is also great and is the only fair priced place in the area. They are always playing the best music so its a great way to start your day :)

    I typically try 5-6 coffee spots in an area for espresso specifically for after lunch. This was my favorite place for quality, taste and consistency. After the 3rd time I came back in a week the barista smiled and called out my order before I said a word. Now it’s the only coffee spot I go too in fidi.

    Matto Coffee is a real hidden gem! Everythings just $2.50 - a total steal in a city filled with $7 lattes. No upcharge for plant-based milk either! Within 2 minutes of placing the order on the app, my order is ready for pickup at the counter. No need to order inside, though you still can.The coffee and food is really good, and even though theres no seating (small space, you know), the vibes good and the space is clean & tidy. Staff are quick and friendly, making the lack of space a non-issue. Definitely worth checking out for a quality, budget-friendly coffee experience in NYC. Solid five stars!

    I have been to several Matto locations and they are all good. But this location is the best. The coffee is always really good and the customer service is great as well.     Have never had a bad experience here, sometimes the best part of my day. Seems like a small hole in the wall coffee place at first sight but they also have a cute outdoor seating area. The owner is one of the nicest, enjoyable people to interact with as you’re getting your morning coffee. They have an app where you can order ahead and everything is $2!! I thought it was too good to be true at first, but everything I have had is delicious.

I believe the pricing is something like $2ish for a cup, so really affordable and much better tasting that drip coffee with creamer.
