Iced cappuccino was refreshing, service was pleasant and quick. Surprised not to see more people here. It’s pretty and it’s not a chain. Try it. -

Zibetto Espresso Bar.. I hit up their cortado, and it was seriously amazing! Plus, the service was super quick. Cant beat that vibe! -
Review 3 (2024-06-10 - Rating: 5)
Superb, tiny espresso bar not far from Central Park. No seating inside. Four small tables and six chairs outside.Best espresso I have had in Manhattan.First time I have had a barista in a tie serve me. 😊 -

Tbh I must say coffee was just fine. The milk foam was not that creamy but the cocoa powder that was added on was a plus.Pastries were delicious, although slightly expensive.I had the apricot cookie and a vanilla cream & cherry pie. Highly recommend the apricot cookie. The oval pie shell was good, cream filling was good too. But for the cherry.. it was literally ONE cherry, dried. So I’ll say just get the pie with only cream.Anyway, staff was the reason I enjoy my stay yesterday. 4 stars eventually. Other wise I’ll give a 3.. still, a fine spot to take a break! -

This is hands down the best lattes we’ve had anywhere!!! Staff is so, so nice and the whole place feels very family-like and authentic. Plus, they have vegan croissants and plant based milks!!! Visited this place every day when in NYC. -

Great little spot near Central Park. The Cappuccino was delicious and was perfect on a chilly, rainy, foggy day in New York! The croissant/cornetto and the little donut I ordered were a tad harder than Id have liked, but still tasty. The server was charming and energetic. She photobombed one of my photos below, while I was trying to snap a pic of the store hours. There are no chairs inside, as its very small and narrow, but there are four little stand-up shelves to lean on by the wall. Careful you dont bump into anyone in line behind you, though.Overall, I can see this place getting packed pretty quickly on days with better weather, but it wasnt crowded at all when I went on a Saturday afternoon in Manhattan. Definitely recommending the coffee, and try your luck with the pastries. Maybe youll fare better and get freshly baked ones.Cappuccino was $5.05Sfogliatelle (tiny donut holes) was $5.52 for 2Cornetto (croissant equivalent) was $3.44.Total spent: $18.30 with tax and everything.4/5 stars from me -
Review 7 (2023-02-04 - Rating: 5)
Perhaps THE best coffee and espresso I had in Manhattan. (And the service staff was insanely nice and happy-go-lucky). Highly recommend this place. -
Review 8 (2024-01-20 - Rating: 5)
This dark, poorly decorated, small place serves one of the best espresso drinks I’ve ever tasted. Dark roasted, full bodied packed with hazelnut and brown sugar flavors. Their cappuccinos and cortados are unreal, prepared so skillfully that you just have to order a second one after your first sip. Definitely a Top 3 among the coffees that I’ve tasted in the US. -
Review 9 (2021-07-05 - Rating: 5)
2021-07-04: Praising some higher power. Zibetto survived the pandemic! They are still making some of the best Espresso drinks in a great Italian way. Wonderful staff, and better coffees! The croissants are darn tasty too!2019: Genuine. This place is a styled as an old school Italian Espresso Bar. It is truly outstanding. They make a great drink. -
Review 10 (2022-02-12 - Rating: 5)
Great taste Italian coffe in Small space. In bussy Americas Avenue 56th streetRazonable prices. Attended by gently and kindly week dressed gentlemen barista. Sweet or salt sides for your preferred coffe. Paninis, Cornettos, pudín. Street tables are avaliable. -
Review 11 (2023-09-29 - Rating: 5)
Its a comparatively tight space with standing bar space and sidewalk seating. Great coffee and tasty treats.I was here many years ago. To my great surprise, not much has changed since, it felt like. Easy, no frills but elegantly friendly espresso based coffee bar, serving own coffee, teas, a variety of pastries, cannolis and sandwiches. It was pouring buckets outside when I stepped in. This part of the city that has always remained shaded through all kinds of weather is now piled with swatches of all degrees of grey, and a deeper, unrelenting blue. Everyone that walked through the door is a regular. The barista knew their drinks, knew their life events. And the regulars wished them luck on the broken dishwasher. I was welcomed, as a silent observer, to their tight community, surviving on these streets where no one knows my name. -
Review 12 (2022-06-23 - Rating: 5)
Lets face it, New York is a serious coffee town. There are a handful of other places in the world, Melbourne Australia, Rome Italy, among them that are also serious coffee towns. Entering Zibetto ... The atmosphere just says New York Midtown coffee. High ceilings, marble floors just like its Avenue of the Americas office tower neighbors, filled with serious bakes, powerful and flavorful coffee, and business customers who all look like they need to be somewhere, but are happy they took the time to stop here. I tried an Americano which came in a large cup, so large I wish the finger hole on the cup was bigger since it is too heavy to hold with just one finger. I also tried a vanilla cookie stuffed with apricot, and a chocolate tart. The chocolate filling was first class medium dark, not overly sweet, and the top had strips cut like a fancy fruit pie, very cute and delicious. Helpful and friendly staff, orders move quickly, good for all those customers on the go. -

The best italian espresso in Manhattan! Im an Italian flight attendant who flies quite often to NYC and always go to Zibetto for my morning coffee. Dont miss it if you are there!! -

If youre a coffee lover in search of a truly exceptional espresso in NYC, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You wont be disappointed! -
Review 15 (2023-07-17 - Rating: 5)
Super small inside, but nonetheless some of the best coffee you can find near here. Quality was excellent and lots of little cookies to accompany. -
Review 16 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 5)
The best espresso and the first real one, in week in USA, it was like coming back to Rome for 9th time, I took two of them. Also the cheapest one I ve found, 3 dollars. If you are from the Mediterráneo is your best option. -
Review 17 (2024-09-25 - Rating: 5)
Cappuccino was great, but we need to talk about the cornetti. Like, are you kidding me?? Even with the busy streets bustling around us, once I bit into my vanilla cornetti I was transported back to Sambuca eating the cornetto I enjoyed every morning from the local bakery. We devoured the chocolate cornetto next, and I almost got a third. These cornetti are simply heaven- soft and flaky on the outside and soft, buttery, sweet, and dense on the inside. Even the filling was perfectly moist and gooey. In general I eat a lot of sweets and pastries, but cornetti (and these specifically) blow everything else out of the water. Will definitely be back, may order a whole box of them. -
Review 18 (2024-11-29 - Rating: 5)
Expresso & coffee beans ( latte ) were simply amazing !! What a nice surprise ? We only went in since Quotien bread shop was busy ( long line up ) Now I will drink Zibetto expresso from now on. -
Review 19 (2023-08-22 - Rating: 5)
This is the ONLY Italian cafe in town. Perfect baristas, heavenly smells, and the best macchiato this side of the Atlantic. Please don’t come here because I want the morning bar all to myself . -
Review 20 (2024-06-04 - Rating: 5)
Service was great. Pastries and coffee were also wonderful. The place is super small so it can be a bit packed even with just a few customers, but they are getting orders quickly. There were 4 tables outside (6 seats), but besides that its more of a grab and go place. -
Review 21 (2024-08-31 - Rating: 5)

A friend recommended this place knowing how much I love my morning coffee. This place did not disappoint. We visited every morning during our weekend in the city. The espresso was delicious and the team was efficient. I even grabbed some beans to hopefully recreate my drink at home! -
Review 28 (2024-12-29 - Rating: 5)
I don’t think I’ve had a more perfectly balanced mocha. The staff were lovely and it was very quick! Don’t waist your time anywhere else in this neighborhood - this spot has it going on! -
Review 29 (2024-04-24 - Rating: 5)
Not very friendly service, but they were pretty busy. Such a great latte (one shot of espresso, cant handle two!). It was so good I barely needed any sweetener at all. Cant wait to go back! -

Review 31 (2024-05-09 - Rating: 5)
Outstanding coffee, passed by this morning for a cappuccino which was excellent. It’s a small shop so there are no places to sit, I enjoyed my coffee standing by the bar. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Will come back these days for sure! -

So good I went twice. Once before a concert at Carnegie Hall, and once afterward. I got a cortado the first time and a cappucino the second time. Amazing espresso. Sip on the counter like in Italy. Limited space. -

My absolute favorite and expresso/atte/Coffee paradise. If you love coffee then this place is for u. I am here 2-3 times a week.. the place has a charm and coffee takes you to a Paris cafe.. it’s well priced and they have a lot of bite sized condiments.. my fav fav fav thing is mini bambalini it’s a bite that’s worth it.. I highly recommend a visit . Crowd varies from suited finance bro’s , tourists to regulars like me -
Review 43 (2024-06-30 - Rating: 5)
Amazing cappuccino and great service. Chairs outside to sit down. I wish they had unsweetened almond milk. But other than that, my visit was more than perfect -
Review 44 (2023-09-02 - Rating: 5)
My favorite neighborhood spot to get coffee. The espresso shots are expertly pulled and all of the espresso based drinks are absolutely excellent. If you’re in midtown and need a coffee, look no further. If you’re a Cortado fan, this will be the best one you’ve ever had. -
Review 45 (2023-03-17 - Rating: 5)
I always pop in here whenever I am in the neighborhood. Such good coffee and lovely service. -
Review 46 (2023-08-19 - Rating: 5)
Visited the place twice during my week trip in nyc.I enjoyed the first visit as well but the reason I am writing this review is because of the second visit, which was right before my husband and I left for the airport. My husband accidentally dropped his coffee that had just come out. They were so nice about it and right away, made him a new one. He wanted me to write this review to thank the staff there and let everyone know that this place not only has great coffee but also great service. We will be back on our next trip to nyc and I will make sure my husband keeps a strong grip on to his coffee! -
Review 47 (2023-09-25 - Rating: 5)
The best espresso in town! Really classic Italian espresso, you can’t go wrong with that! My Italian friend said it was exactly the same in his home town in Turin, great approval! -
Review 48 (2024-04-03 - Rating: 5)
I had the silkiest, best tasting cappuccino AND expresso I’ve had in recent memory. Very small, quaint, and clean coffee shop. Definitely worth stopping in here! -

Review 50 (2023-11-11 - Rating: 5)
Old school coffee shop loaded with charm and personality. -
Review 51 (2023-07-12 - Rating: 5)
Excellent espresso can be found at Zibettos, a compact, standing room only Italian coffee bar with an avid following. This location also has two tables on the sidewalk if youre lucky enough to grab them. No restroom, no outlets, not kid friendly. -
Review 52 (2024-06-28 - Rating: 5)
Place fell off I was going here for the longest ! Espresso is bitter and sour ... the shots are so tiny below the average pour of espresso. The guy is trying to tell me what an espresso is after being born and living in Sicily for 30 years he is trying to explain coffee to me lmao place is joke wont be going back ! Lots of luck -
Review 53 (2023-09-20 - Rating: 5)

Review 57 (2024-10-11 - Rating: 5)
I expected great coffee here. What I did not expect was a fast, efficient line and welcoming service. Only disappointment was they were out of croissants, but I will get here earlier tomorrow. -
Review 58 (2023-08-20 - Rating: 5)
Wonderful little cafe. Great coffee; I was lucky enough to get an apricot croissant fresh from the oven too. Delicious food and the barista was very friendly. -
Review 59 (2020-01-02 - Rating: 4)
Very cool vibes. Had a latte - a bit too bitter for me and they do not have cream or half and half available. Great place if you like your espresso strong! Mini pie was pretty good. If youre looking for a pastry, they have a variety but they are of the sweet type so not really a place to go for a breakfast meeting. -
Review 60 (2024-08-12 - Rating: 5)
I’ve been coming here for years, and I can confidently say it’s the best coffee in NYC, hands down! If you appreciate a good café, you have to come here. The flavor is smooth, the aroma is incredible—everything about this coffee is amazing. It reminds me of Italy or Brazil. Every sip transports me to a different place. -

Review 65 (2021-09-26 - Rating: 5)
I almost never go for espresso in the US because of too many bad experiences. This is why Im so happy to have found this place! I requested a cafe ristretto as I would in Italy, and the friendly barista not only knew what I wanted, but also made it as it should be, short, strong and concentrated!Even the price is reasonable in US terms, much cheaper than Starbucks (if you can even call what these guys serve an espresso...)This will become a regular spot for me.Very well done! -
Review 66 (2023-05-26 - Rating: 5)
Cappuccino was one of the best. Great for a cool morning. Seems like a local joint (a good thing). Very small inside. Sandwich and pastry were also tasty. -
Review 67 (2023-01-28 - Rating: 5)
A little fancier than usual, but not nearly as expensive. I strongly recommend this place if youre in the area. -
Review 68 (2022-06-12 - Rating: 5)
Staffs are very polite, and the espresso was as good as it gets! Will return again! -
Review 69 (2024-02-10 - Rating: 4)

Review 71 (2019-12-28 - Rating: 5)
One liner review - the best Italian coffee in New York.If you are looking for authentic Italian coffee, look no further. I ordered a cappuccino and my wife ordered a latte. Both were amazing to Rome quality. They also serve tasty paninis and a variety of pastries. I would recommend a prosciutto panini and a chocolate croissant.Ambience is modern. Beautiful marble tops inside. No wifi here. Service was friendly and professional. Price runs at a high end, a panini is $12-13. -
Review 72 (2022-02-22 - Rating: 4)
Latte was good - smooth. The interior is very modern with marble countertops and high ceilings. -
Review 73 (2022-03-13 - Rating: 5)
11/10. best coffee in nyc. The marocchino is my favorite. Really yummy chocolates too! -
Review 74 (2023-09-10 - Rating: 4)
Great coffee near Central Park. Not sure why my decaf latte with almond milk came in a smaller cup than my friend’s mocha. Small place, gets crowded. -
Review 75 (2022-08-30 - Rating: 5)
Very smooth and delicious cappuccino. Plenty of indoor seating, no outdoor. -
Review 76 (2019-05-31 - Rating: 5)
Excellent espresso, made by a professional who cares about the whole experience, even roasts the beans himself at a nearby location. Well worth the extra cost, and seat-less countertop experience. The pastries look good, but I didnt try them. -

I liked this coffee place... cosy and clean atmosphere with good quality latte... I didn’t tasted their Snacks but they looked great... professional stuff as their service looked knowledgeable with everything... it was crowded when we arrived but I really liked it... A little strong for me but it tasted good... -

Great spot for a good coffee! Not much space inside, but drinks are quality, pretty close to Central Park as well - cappuccino was very good. -
Review 91 (2024-04-05 - Rating: 5)
Possibly the smoothest & the best latte I’ve ever had! Standing room only but I love the ambiance! -
Review 92 (2019-12-07 - Rating: 5)
The best cafe in midtown by far. No triple grande, double strawberry pump lattes here! The menu is just espresso drinks as they should be, and that is all they care about. The Italian influences add to the experience...an area to stand while drinking, and also the small cannolis or snacking sandwiches. I always find the service super friendly too. -
Review 93 (2024-09-02 - Rating: 5)
Cute little cafe on 6th ave. The service is very welcoming and the coffee and pastries are just right. -
Review 94 (2019-03-30 - Rating: 5)
This is it!This is my escape to Italy for a coffee in the middle of the city. Why anyone would go to Starbucks across the street is beyond me. This is an authentic place with small panini and pastries for breakfast. Great coffee. Simply great. Also love the barista/owners who work their butts off to make this a wonderful authentic Italian escape in the middle of the city madness -
Review 95 (2019-08-21 - Rating: 5)
Hands down the best espresso in NYC...I cant even explain it but nothing compares in the city and its not even a close one. The closest Ive had was in Europe which I would say is better but not by much. Its very deceiving here though because of the small and tiny space but you dont need much to brew the near perfect espresso -
Review 96 (2021-10-22 - Rating: 5)
Best way of going to Italia without a passport. Order one of everything since you wont be disappointed! Dont be fooled by the size since the baking is done on the premises in the back. Excellence is almost God like here. -

Wowww😍👌. Amazing espresso. -
Review 98 (2022-11-15 - Rating: 5)
Authentic Italian style standing bar. Cappuccino was top level, best I’ve had in US. -
Review 99 (2019-01-17 - Rating: 4)
The coffee servings are frou-frou small and expensive. The wait staff was nice, but gave the air that theyd rather be doing something different. Their coffee tasted good though, and the pastry was fresh and tasty! -

Nice and quick service. Basic offering but good overall for a quick espresso, cappuccino or a quick panino. Baristas speak Italian which was a plus of course and seating area was clean. Just a tad expensive but cinsidering the location pricing was within the expected range. -

Review 109 (2021-12-18 - Rating: 4)
Great little spot when we needed a quick coffee. Not too busy and barista was really friendly (bumped it to 4-stars for me). Atmosphere was decent, plenty of seating. Had an oat milk cortado and it was average, would come again if we wanted coffee in a pinch. -

I have fallen in love with their espresso blend during my week here in NYC. I am a huge fan of espresso generally, and a latte from Zibetto makes my heart sing. I have also tried the chocolate croissant and sfogliatelle, which were both wonderful. -
Review 113 (2020-02-10 - Rating: 5)
Best espresso and little pastry, felt like I was back in Italy. Everything very authentic and seemed like a truly a local spot. Highly recommend for coffee connoisseurs! -

Great cappuccino with an extra shot + croissant! -
Review 115 (2019-12-20 - Rating: 4)
The closest thing I had to a real Italian coffee over in the US, you can take it at the bar instead of having to find a seat (all cafes should be like this btw). Free WiFi, staff were friendly and they even sell Pocket Coffee too, which I miss from back in Italy -

Enjoyed a 3-day trip to NYC and got my cappuccino on each day at Zibetto! It was that good! Pastries are fresh and amazing, but the espresso is what had me hooked. -

There are fundamentally two main kinds of places that serve coffee: pastry shops and true coffee shops. For me, in the morning, I dont want a pastry I want a damned good cup of coffee. With that in mind I went to Zibettos, the only place nearby who seemed to be putting the coffee as the main selling point. I got a double espresso that was bold, flavorful, and so very smooth and just the thing to carry me through a busy New York City day. The coffee in the window shows that Zibettos is a roaster (I believe there are multiple locations) and the flavor of their black espresso shows they are a talented roaster. -

Most authentic Italian coffee bar I’ve been to in the USA. Best cappuccino this side of Atlantic. None of the overly milky stuff Starbucks et al serves. -

A great, little hole in the wall. Coffee is nice and cheap (compared to the area at least, it is still New York prices), staff are friendly too. -

If its all about the coffee, then its a five star. Super good espresso. The server was short, unhappy and wanted to be somewhere else. Ill be back for the coffee. -

Cappuccino and cornetto - freshly made and delicious. Zibetto is a small, clean bar with a welcoming, homey feel. I loved the marble countertops, just like at home. The service was delightful. I am definitely going back later for a macchiato after lunch. -

Review 149 (2019-10-21 - Rating: 5)
Finally - authentic Italian style coffee and espresso. No more hipster coffee shops that press down the espresso until it can’t breathe and ultimately burn. This place knows espresso - Italian style, fresh and crisp. They have a lovely staff and a stand up bar where locals and regulars chat with the baristas. Their pastries are no joke either. Nutella filled sweet bun - to die for. Love all the way from Toronto ! -

Review 154 (2017-12-10 - Rating: 5)
I can not start to express my love of coffee. I have been to many places and this place cought my eye right off with first the smell. Next the way in which the staff where having fun with their job even though it was very busy. The last was the taste of the coffee, deep, and rich. The foam was perfect and the modern feel was worth its weight in gold. Go, sit and enjoy. -

I loved this place. Cappuccino and espresso in the real Italian style. Particularly good the cappuccino with rich and dense foam as i was used to have in Italy. Large choice of cornettos, cannoli and donuts and professional barman. The place is tiny so its more to take the coffee at bar, again as italias use to take. -
