Overall, I was very satisfied with our stay. The friendliness of the staff was generally excellent. However, the friendliness of the staff at the Grab n Go Breakfast needs significant improvement. The response to the issue with the noisy ventilation system was fantastic. Within a few minutes, even at 10:00 PM, a technician arrived, although he couldnt fix it.On the downside, I was informed that a subsequent room change was not possible, which turned out to be incorrect upon checkout. The price reduction in the form of waived breakfast costs ($150) was a pleasant response to the inconvenience.Another negative point is that when I booked in April (8 months in advance), I requested a room as high up as possible. This request was not fulfilled, even though it turned out that such rooms were available (same price category).Overall, the service, facilities, and stay were very enjoyable. Regarding other reviews: The cleanliness was fantastic. A wear and tear on the carpet is normal and as long it is still in good condition and without damage everything is fine to me. -

Perfect location overlooking Central Park and a block from Fifth Ave and excellent shopping. Also walking distance to several museums. We had a beautiful view of the park from a very spacious room.Restaurants and room service meals were excellent. Check-in was smooth and we had our room by 10:45 am!All the staff members we interacted with were kind, courteous and helpful. We will return! -

This hotel was beautifully located across from Central Park, with quick access to all key tourist spots like Broadway/Times Square, 9/11 Memorial and more. The staff was top-notch. They went out of their way to escort my group to the rooftop breakfast so we knew exactly where to go.Very clean rooms and nice amenities! I would stay here again. -

When I read the negative comments I started to second guess my hotel choice. Once we arrived the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. It’s located near everything. The longest wait for an elevator was under 2 every time (and our stay was during the a thanksgiving holiday). All of the restaurants were open anytime we wanted to order food. The rooms are trendy in decor. I will always stay at this hotel going forward when I visit NY. BONUS!!! We could even see the parade from our room. Thank YOU Park Lane for making our trip amazing. P.S. The bed was so comfy and even compares to my sleep number at home. -

The location of Park Lane cannot be beat! The service and staff are top notch. The room was clean and decent size. I knock off one star, because despite the updates it is still a bit dated for the price. Overall, a great hotel to stay in the city and I would happily return. -

This hotel was great, particularly for a family with a young child. They were very accommodating and had everything for our son ready when we arrived. There was no noise in our room, and it was very clean. Great area too with lots of good food around. The service was great and everyone was spoke to were nice. Would stay again! Thanks! -

Hi I would recommend this hotel. Was a bit worried reading the negative reviews before we arrived but must say had a great 4 days at the hotel. We were there from 26-30th Dec. nice spacious family room with 2 queen beds. Clean and very helpfull staff. Great location. Would recommend. -

Beautiful hotel and extremely comfortable beds. For a hotel marketed as luxury I would expect crisp details. The heating unit is very old and loud that it woke me up several times (I’m a hard sleeper). The website clearly states the rooftop dining area opens at 7 am but when the door was locked staffed told me it’s actually 7:30 and the website was inaccurate. -

Fantastic hotel. The entire staff are friendly and go above and beyond. You can’t beat the location either. Our family will definitely be back for future NYC trips. Special shout out to the brunch staff at the top floor restaurant who every morning made our family feel like VIPs! -

The hotel’s location was fantastic! As a runner, being able to just cross the road and run in Central Park was a major highlight. The room was always cleaned well by housekeeping.I also loved having breakfast on the rooftop; the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special mention to Dwight, who brought a positive and welcoming energy every morning.Overall, the entire staff was respectful and made my stay enjoyable. -

I have stayed at The Park Lane several times when I go to the city for business. The location is perfect. The staff is always very attentive and the accommodations are wonderful, especially if you have a Park view. The rooftop bar, Darling, is a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink after a long day. -
Review 12 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 4)
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of Central Park. Just checked out today. Few things. For over $2,700 for 2 nights I would expect impeccable rooms. We had a hole in the bedding. Ordered room service and thank goodness I saw it fall, but a piece of glass fell off the ketchup into my food. Other than that staff was super nice and breakfast at Calverts was delish. -
Review 13 (2024-12-26 - Rating: 4)
Love the location and upgrade to 39th floor.A very enjoyable stay.Major complaint: NO COFFEE MAKER in room. 39 stories down is a long way to go to get a cup of coffee and bring it back to the room. The elevator is not express to the 39th floor! One morning, at 10:30, we were leaving for the day and went downstairs to get a cup of decaf coffee. We went to the first floor coffee shop and was told that they were already closed and preparing for lunch. They sent us to the second floor restaurant, which was closing for a transition to lunch. At the front desk, we were told to use room service. So where would room service deliver a coffee to? the first floor or the second floor or the 39th floor? That’s our complaint. No coffee at 10:30 to 1130 anywhere in that hotel unless it’s room service. The frond desk acknowledged the issue. But we had to go out for coffee. -

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, my wife and I; The hotel is perfectly situated, offering stunning views of central Park (if you were lucky and got the rooms facing the park :)). Its just a couple of steps from 5th Avenue and just 10 minutes walk to times square. the room I stayed in was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could ask for. -

Great location and view of Central Park. Nothing but positive interactions with all the employees and amenities. Special shoutout to K and Cathy in the Rose Lane first floor bar. Their friendliness and service made our night. It was our second time staying at the Park Lane. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to New York. -

I havent had the pleasure of staying at the Park Lane Hotel yet,but my experience there has me even more anxious to do so.I recently worked a security detail there and was greeted and treated with the utmost respect, professionalism, and kindness from every staff member I encountered. I also had the pleasure of meeting the Managing Director Niles Harris who was a true Gentleman and Professional. I highly recommend this hotel and cant wait to stay there as a guest. The beautiful environment and hospitality are above and beyond!! -
Review 17 (2024-11-04 - Rating: 5)
We loved our October 2024 stay at this hotel and will be returning but one or two things I feel could be improved:1. They charge a DAILY rather than one-off refundable damage deposit. This is what booking.com said and on checking today, still says in the fine print section for Park Lane Hotel; A damage deposit of US$150 is required on arrival. Thats about £115. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. When checking in, I was asked for my card to process this payment. I was very surprised to discover the next day that around £600 had been taken on a pending basis. I was not expecting this to be charged on the basis of how many days you are staying and booking.com did not make that clear. I hold the hotel responsible for this. When I messaged them, their response was unhelpful.2. Reception staff. They need to be more friendly, warm and welcoming. We arrived close to midnight after a long journey. There was one member of staff on at the reception at the time, he did not smile or exude any warmth. After paying a good rate and travelling so long and it being so late, it would have been nice to have been made to feel more welcome. Ive seen many other similar comments by others. This part of the whole experience really does need some work. Better trained front of house staff would make a HUGE difference to the overall client experience. The things I loved:1. Our rooms - we had two city view rooms for ourselves and our teen daughters. The views were incredible. Rooms were clean and well stocked with beautiful soft towels and Jo Loves (same lady who founded Jo Malone) toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser etc. The beds are amazing - I was unbelievably comfortable in ours. Decor is well considered. I really rate the rooms.2. The cleaning staff - friendly, helpful and courteous - and always smiling. The reception staff could certainly learn from them! Please look after your cleaning staff well, Park Lane - they are fantastic.3. Doormen and bellboys - friendly and helpful.4. Location - utterly fantastic, directly opposite Central Park and located just a few paces away from The Ritz, where Home Alone 2 was filmed. Bustling NYC energy all around, great deli & supermarket and a Pret a Manger around the corner. Times Square about 25 min walk away.We never dined at the hotel so I cant comment on breakfast or the restaurant.Overall Id give the hotel 8 out of 10. It really is an absolute gem and we will definitely be returning next year (though prices have hiked significantly already compared to what we paid for our stay this year - around £2k extra for the same dates in 2025 compared to 2024 and thats including my Booking Genius discount). But Park Lane, if youre reading this, please do invest in reception staff training. If you want to turn a gem of a place into something really very memorable and special, this would make an absolutely huge difference. -

What a fabulous hotel and the view of Central Park in the fall was stupendous! Room service was outstanding and the bar in the lobby served great drinks though a little expensive. But the overall expense was worth it. Would definitely choose the Park Lane again. -

It was not my first stay .. it’s the place that I prefer to stay on whenever I visit New York.. prime location, the rooms were renovated and the staff was very helpful especially Mr. Paul Beatty LOSS PREVENTION manger.. my son forgot his go pro camera on the car on our way to the airport. I have contacted the hotel and inform about this he helped me to ship the camera back home and kept in touch with me to make it the easiest way to! I really appreciate his efforts and honesty. Big thank you to him! -

I loved my stay here! The location was amazing, and I had a great time. But I wasn’t a fan of how everything had an extra charge. Like, it’s $35 for a coffee machine and another $35 for a tea tray. Still, overall, I really enjoyed it! -
Review 21 (2024-07-29 - Rating: 5)
Fantastic value and good views of the park the higher you go. Service is nice, but dont expect to be blown away. The bars and Darling are great places to visit!Id consider staying here again if I wanted to be by the park. It has great proximity to a lot if high end shops and great places to eat.Only callout is the small mini fridge and door less shower. Room service was kind and efficient in getting more essentials for us. -

Review 24 (2024-03-26 - Rating: 5)
I was very impressed with this hotel for the price and location. The service was excellent, almost 5 star I’d say, they greet you when you come into the building , free waters , robes and shoes in each room, 24/7 room service that got be a bag of chips at 2am Saturday night, amazing roof top bar and breakfast. The only downside I’d say is the rooms, the hotel was remodeled and you can tell the rooms / hallways are visibility old and very thin. The first night we had a family with 2 little kids staying next to us and everytime someone open and closes their door it shakes the entire hallway. The kids were playing in the hallway in the morning so we didn’t get a ton of sleep. David from the lobby moved us to a new room and it was much quieter but I think putting some more furniture and re doing the doors to each room would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. Also the windows are not insulated or sound proofed so you can hear the city very audibly. I’d expect more from a hotel if this star and quality. Also the views from the rooms and rooftop are stunning. Overall I’d give it 4 and bump it up to 5 if they made the improvements to the doors , windows and made the rooms feel a bit more luxurious. -

My stay at Park Lane Hotel in New York was nothing short of perfect. The room size exceeded my expectations, providing ample space for relaxation. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the breathtaking view of Central Park from my room. Waking up to such a stunning vista was truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is ideal, offering easy access to the city’s attractions. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend Park Lane Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable experience in New York City. -

Overall, the central Park hotel is obviously beautiful and the rooms have really great views. If you get the panoramic central Park king rooms it is however very busy and there’s a lot of people in the lobby. Guest services and check in tends to have a line and it’s quite loud, but the view from the room is fantastic -

Hotel & staff were amazing! Perfect location, stunning view of Central Park, everything was in walking distance or via subway across the road.Only negative was no aircon in winter, this left us with no white noise & we were able to hear EVERYTHING from rooms next to ours. -

Beautiful hotel! The room was lovely and quiet, with an incredible panoramic view of the park. And room service dessert was just perfect.I have to give the biggest shout out to Mr. John, the Bellman/Porter who was so friendly and helpful. He made us feel incredibly welcome, and share great tips and recommendations within the area.We can’t wait for our next visit. -
Review 31 (2023-12-09 - Rating: 5)
Great place to stay. Staff are helpful and welcoming. The Darling restaurant on top of the building has a great breakfast continental style with vodka/champagne included. If you have capital one venture x the hotel is a member of the premier collection and you get that breakfast daily for free ($75/per person value!). Highly recommend this place. Our view of the park from the 27th floor was incredible!!! 🤩 -
Review 32 (2024-11-29 - Rating: 4)
I enjoyed my stay at the Park Lane Hotel, thanks to its fantastic location just a short walk from Madison Avenue’s shopping stores. The view from my luxury room, overlooking Central Park, was absolutely stunning. However, the prices were quite steep compared to other times of the year. One downside is that they don’t provide a coffee machine or water kettle in the room unless you pay extra for it. If you’re considering a standard room, I’d recommend exploring other options in the area, as the views from those rooms are less impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful, though, and I would consider staying here again if the prices were more reasonable. -
Review 33 (2023-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Its pretty perfect as New York hotels go... Location, location, location near some of the best restaurants right across the street from Central Park right near the best shopping. Everything just steps from the door. The room was ordinary size...not small....not large... bathroom was nicely appointed...bed was comfortable.Lobby bar had great coffee and breakfast options. -
Review 34 (2024-04-10 - Rating: 5)
There are alot of reviews on here covering the last week or so, some of which really do go in hard where I dont think its deserved.Yes, system issues meant check in took a little time but only 20 mins or so and it meant room keys did fail occasionally and needed reactivating, not a huge deal.Other than a slight inconvenience there really isnt another down side to what I experianced regards the systems, perhaps other had it worse but I suspect not much worse. That aside and in the face of great stress that they didnt cause or want any more that the guests the staff were incredible. From the guest relations team, Cruz and Griselila, who smashed it out the park for my wifes bday surprise to Tim on the door who sorted our transfers out without a single hitch, they were all friendly, helpful, doing there best and at all time polite and empathetic.Hotel is a lovely old feel place, great rooms and facilities in a superb location for all your NYC holiday needs.Dont let a bad few days with the computers put you off, this place more than meets expectations.Thank you Park Lane team, sad to leave you, see you next time! -

10/10 would recommend a stay at the Park Lane! The staff have been so courteous and hospitable. We were upgraded upon arrival, the room amenities are wonderful. The bartender made a great cocktail and mocktail and the menu is wonderful. -
Review 36 (2024-01-02 - Rating: 4)
The view only the view. We had two bedroom for 5 nights. We chose the hotel for the location and the view and we were not disappointed at all, both are really great. Room as nice, and bathroom are really great, got a bit disappointed by the beds too soft for us.When it comes to service, this is one of the worst experience I had, the rudeness of the front desk is just impressive, I have never see that in any kind of hotel. Not welcoming at all, no question about our trip, you are just a random number and they dont give a s...t.After check in, one of the room, was already occupied, not an apology, nothing has been done, and I had to complain to get this solved. And we were downgraded to 6th floor because no room was available. The service was a continuous lack of empathy, lack of details that makes your stay something remarquable. Hopefully one lady at front desk (coming from Cuba) was really nice and change room for us after several complains.Housekeepers, ladys from breakfast and valet were really nice and providing good service. So management should react, keep the right people at front desk, and displace people who dont like their job or helping customers. -
Review 37 (2024-01-02 - Rating: 4)
We stayed for five days last december - the location is really great, you can get around northern manhattan / time square by foot, and as it is right next to central park it is also not too noisy in the rooms. the room amenities are a little sparse but other than that not much to complain, we enjoyed our stay. -

Review 39 (2023-10-15 - Rating: 5)
The view is spectacular!!! Hotel is not brand new, so no mega large windows, but still nice room and very friendly service. Great location, right next to subway. Perfect hub for city exploration in any direction. Moring run in Central Park was superb! Fair pricing, so booking is definitely recommendable! -

Review 41 (2024-10-28 - Rating: 4)
Traveled for work. Great value for location, appreciate being able to find an affordable yet quality stay for my business trip. The beds were very comfortable. Shower was comfortable, but the way the doors are designed the floor gets soaked which Im not a huge fan of. Staff were friendly and helpful where needed. All in all would recommend, if looking for a budget friendly option and within decent distance of sights. -
Review 42 (2024-12-27 - Rating: 4)
A great location right next to Central Park. Breakfast on the 46th floor is a must with great tasty food and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. We did have some minor issues with some individual members of staff who lacked the usual excellent hospitality you expect in America but on the whole the other staff more than made up for this.On that note I would advise people to check what is included in their booking as breakfast on the 46th floor might not be included and its not cheap. Also on arrival they charged our card $750 which was only refunded at the end of our stay so you may need to factor that in your spending plans.New York is a great city to visit and we would recommend staying here as it was the perfect location. -
Review 43 (2023-10-14 - Rating: 5)
The BEST hotel we’ve stayed at in NYC! As we arrived we were greeted by bell attendants / door men as they helped us with our bags and told us where the front desk was. After checking in, the bell attendants transported our luggage and came with us to our room. When our room door opened we were in so much awe of the panoramic view overlooking Central Park during sunset! The peaceful ambience of the room was complemented by singing birds from the TV and nature inspired decor. It felt like home! We spent about an hour or more taking pictures in front of the window.Next, we arrived to our 6:00 PM reservation at the Darling rooftop lounge. The waitresses sat us at a table with views of the incredible skyscrapers. Drinks were great! After temporarily leaving for dinner we came back to the room with warm and comforting lighting from behind the bed heads. The chirping birds helped us fall asleep so easily! In the morning, Central Park was covered by thick fog but cleared up a little bit later. We decided to order in-room breakfast and it was wonderful! Nothing better than enjoying breakfast together in the comfort of our room with spectacular panoramic views of Central Park!Checking out of the hotel was difficult because we really enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer! They offered to store our bags before checking in to our next hotel which was what we needed.Thank you for a great stay! We wish to come back soon!- Kevin & Desiree -

Our family loved our stay at Park Lane in New York. Its in an ideal location and the staff were so kind and welcoming to our family. The staff was very helpful and anything we needed, they assisted us immediately. The rooms were pretty, comfortable and clean. There werent many kids at the hotel (many people there on business and couples only) but they were treated so kindly - not all kids are at hotels in NYC. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you all so much! -

Everything about our stay was seamless and phenomenal! Location, service, accommodations…. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say. There was a gentleman, whose name was Tim I believe, who greeted us as soon as we pulled up in our van. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even escorting us down to the subway station and showing us how to use it to get to our Statue of Liberty tour. Whatever detail we needed help with, he was there with a friendly smile to help. -

If you’re looking to stay right in the heart of midtown Manhattan, look no further. Park Lane Hotel has it all! Fantastic views, exceptional service and most importantly, it is located within walking distance to most attractions and subway stations. The hotel itself is at a great price point for how luxurious it is. Service is exceptional! During my visit, every point of contact at this hotel was a memorable experience. At every request, they went above and beyond. We will most definitely be back again! -

Our September 2024 stay was our third at the Park Lane — but our first since their thorough and thoughtful renovations a couple of years ago. We were VERY impressed. The Park Lane is now in the uppermost echelon of New York hotels. The mid-town location, bordering Central Park, is unbeatable. Our upper-floor/park-facing junior suite was spectacular. The main-floor amenities are convenient, stylish and operated by gracious staff. The rooftop restaurant-bar Darling has its own sophistication, with commanding views in every direction, some open-air space and tasty food and drink delivered by cheerful servers. This was a top-tier experience at a top-tier hotel (and priced accordingly). -

The location is absolute perfection... we chose a king panoramic room and the Vista was incredible.service is outstandingvery helpful people at the front desk. we did have to deal with a manager as our first room did not have proper air conditioning, but it was resolved relatively quickly and we were pleased.we did not dine or drink in the hotel (we did pass through darlings. thats definitely a miss).interesting to know that. Leona Helmsley lived on the penthouse floor after her stint. Thats pretty cool history.love love, love the Le Labo toiletries. every time you walked through the lobby it smelled like Santal 33!The towels were super comfortable as was the bed and the sheets.definitely look forward to returning to this hotel!!!! -

I had a amazing experience at this hotel. From the early check in, welcome letter and gift, to the 24 Hr room service, everything was amazing. The view to CENTRAL PARK… OMG ! I’m definitely coming back to this hotel. I have been in 15+ different hotels in NYC, and this is now in my top 2 hotels. -
Review 52 (2022-12-23 - Rating: 5)
We travel to NYC a couple of times a year, but hadnt made it up at Christmastime since pre-COVID, so we wanted to treat ourselves to a Central Park view. We had come in for some lunch at Harrys Bar at Park Lane this summer, and I really loved the feel of the hotel, so it was an easy decision when we decided to make the trip for Christmas...especially with such fair pricing and value compared to other hotels in the area. The ladies at the front desk are so welcoming (...and very patient - one of them had to deal with a very rude guest in front of us, and she handled it so beautifully). Our room was beautiful and comfy - the art murals throughout the hotel are such a nice touch. We didnt go up to have breakfast at The Darling until our last day, which I DEEPLY regretted...the servers up there are so wonderful and cheerful, the atmosphere is impeccable, down to the music, and the food was all fantastic. I am so thrilled that we stayed here, and we cant wait to return. Thank you for a fantastic trip! -

I had the most marvelous panoramic park view! It was like looking down at the Earth from heaven. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and double queen is beautiful- with a spectacular, artistic theme. The environment at night is ebullient! I am highly satisfied with my stay. I definitely recommend.🥰 -
Review 54 (2022-05-25 - Rating: 4)
Front rooms with a spectacular view! No other option is worth it to book the hotel. The other rooms are nice but really too expensive without the breathtaking Central Park view. Very fresh and modern cosy look. Some rooms have very, very small closets and bathrooms. ...🤨. The rooftop bar/restaurant is stylish but with quite too noisy hip music... talk with your friends while you are sipping the good cocktails is difficult. The wonderful view is only visible for tall or non sitting persons. So, if you reserve a table because of the view....take a bar table outside. Breakfast is not yet good enough for the price (50$pp plus tax plus tip)...and while sitting at a table, you have no view because the windows are to high...All employees are very friendly! Special thanks to the wonderful Lady serving breakfast at the rooftop and to deep-voice-Dillon from the bar team at the ground floor 😉! ADA Rooms are good, but the entrance door is really, really heavy to open. Once, when you are inside, there is an automatic door to the bathroom. Why not add that helper for the front door? -
Review 55 (2022-03-24 - Rating: 4)
Great place right at the park. I loved my king suite with park view, but wished the hotel equipped all suites with a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave. There was a kitchen counter with a sink so these amenities would have fit well. Considering the price per night, these are basic amenities that would make the stay more comfortable especially for families. I’ve stayed at other hotel suites in Manhattan and these were provided for. The front desk and door men were friendly and helpful. -

This hotel was absolutely amazing. We had the panoramic park view room and it was beautiful. No issues with air conditioning I even had to turn it down a little because it was so cool! The guest service staff was very attentive and sent up anything we needed promptly including a crib for our baby. The room was big enough for him to crawl around and have a great time. 100% recommend. -

This was one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. We were celebrating our ten year anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our anniversary trip was a wonderful one. We had an amazing view of Central Park on a high floor that left us literally sitting in front of the window gazing and enjoying the beauty of the park. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, but especially those celebrating a special occasion. The staff was excellent, the amenities were excellent, and the rooftop restaurant (Darling) had amazing views of Central Park. It was a really magical stay for us. -

Attended a conference Nov 2023. I give four stars for the amazing dinner and dessert, best prime rib Ive had in some time. I had to take a star off for the sad ceasar salad I had in the first floor restaurant. When the lettuce looks old and its the whole salad, its not a good look. -

Lovely hotel. Was so welcoming to my young son for a special mommy trip and very accommodating. Service was top notch which I didn’t expect given our current state of staffing shortages everywhere and based on experiences elsewhere. Rooms were very quiet and impeccably clean. There is also a great cafe just steps outside the back door which was a nice bonus. -

Pros: location, Central Park across the street, walking distance to Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center, and Time Square. Friendly check in, valet, doormen, cleaning staff. Completely remodeled bathroom, fresh and modern.Cons: dated bedroom decor and carpet, limited hotel amenities, rooftop breakfast buffet $75 per person, and destination fee $49 per day. Considering the high costs in Manhattan, I think it’s still reasonable. -

I’m here from Florida and took an Uber here by accident and it was not my hotel! The hotel names were similar and fortunately not far from where we should have been. The woman at the front desk was awesome, very gracious, courteous and friendly. She actually called our hotel to make sure we had a reservation before we went there! I appreciated that so much! The doorman was friendly and helped us with our luggage while we worked this out and called another Uber. I just wanted to thank them again! You are lucky to have them working for you!! -

The Park Lane has some of the largest rooms of five star hotels in this area, and the price is half that of neighbouring hotels. So it’s great value for money if you really want to be on the park. However, the rooms are already starting to feel a bit worn despite the alleged renovation a few years ago - and we had two rooms so it wasn’t an isolated experience. Also, the aircon was definitely NOT renovated, because its an antique system which makes a terrible racket and can’t cool the room below 72f at best, with typically 74 being the lowest. And the doors make a huge noise when closed, so if you are a sensitive sleeper it could be an issue for you. -

Ive stayed at Park Lane twice. Loved it. Wonderful location on Central Park South. The manager who checked me in upgraded me to a high floor with a Park view. She was delightful. Not sure if they still have the Managers complimentary cocktail hour gathering for guests? A nice touch. Lots of nice canapés etc. -

I enjoyed staying at the Park Lane before they renovated, but the newly updated hotel is very chic and totally elevated the hotel beyond what it was before. I had the pleasure of staying there recently and from the moment I checked in until I checked out, my experience was nothing, but positive. The staff were always very friendly and attentive, the rooms are lovely (as a Le Labo fan, I particularly enjoyed that they now carry their products. Very nice touch!) I unfortunately didnt get a chance to visit the rooftop bar, but both the downstairs bar and restaurant upstairs were great (special thanks to Sam!) I look forward to returning soon! -

From the moment you enter the hotel, the entire experience at the Park Lane New York is simply terrific! The team is welcoming, courteous, organized and efficient. The hotel has a great vibe and whether the view is city or park, the rooms are updated and spotless. -

We had a delightful three night stay at the Park Lane. Every person on the staff was a delight to deal with and very kind to our young Granddaughters (ages 8 and 5). The room was large enough for the four of us, with gorgeous views overlooking Central Park. Air Conditioning perfect. Very quiet room and floor (32nd floor). Divine beds and plenty of pillows. Room Service (one dinner, three breakfasts, ) was quick and delicious. The Restaurant was excellent, both food and service. The location was perfect for us on this occasion. -

We had a lovely stay, not without its hitches, but the staff was quick to rectify our AC situation by moving us quickly and courteously. One staff member, in particular, will have us making this hotel our home base in NYC for the foreseeable future. The concierge Carlos. Always gracious, helpful and just made the stay everything we hoped it would be. Real New York, from a real New Yorker. -

Been here a few times and love it. Older historic building with all the New York charm. Clean rooms , friendly staff. Great location! Walking distance to so many great New York destinations, reastraunts and bars. directly across the street front Central Park. Cant beat it. I highly recommend. -

We had a wonderful stay at the Park Lane Hotel. It all started with a very friendly welcome. The staff was very courteous. Due to a special celebration, the hotel prepared us a bottle of sparkling wine with chocolate strawberries as a gift. The view of Central Park from the room was just incredible. We also visited the Darling Restaurant on the 46th floor. Both the breakfast buffet and in the evening for a cocktail was super nice. The view is great. The hotel is very well located to reach Central Park, museums, 5th avenue and co. With the nearby subway you can also quickly reach the rest of Manhattan. We had a great experience, thanks to the whole Park Lane Hotel staff who really did a great job. For a special occasion this hotel is definitely a recommendation. -

Beautiful rooms - if you get a view of the park you can’t go wrong.Food - tried the bar food only and had the pizza. It was solid! Love the tray delivered with the cheese, pepper and salt?Wine options at the bar by restaurant - not as great of options. Expected better options. I’d probably not order the reds there if you have a wide pallet.Atmosphere - cute and vibey! -
Review 76 (2022-10-05 - Rating: 4)
This hotel has transitioned from the very traditional place with gilded chandeliers I grew up with to a fashionista magnet with minimalist furnishings and a too-loud-for-my-taste EDM background track. Contemporary art graces spacious yet spare rooms with park views to die for. Attractive but not luxurious. Fun rooftop breakfast buffet is over-priced for the food, worth every penny for the views. Very nice staff made us feel welcomed everywhere. -

Excellent staff and location!! Employees are extremely helpful and the view is spectacular if you have the park view. Without the view you are still in the best area! During Covid we stayed here and had a great time. Only area could be improved may be the cleaning, there were a few pieces of hair found in the bathroom behind the door and in the tub. :-(Overall it’s a nice place, highly recommend!! -

In a luxury hotel overlooking Central Park, pretense is absent. The staff is kind, engaging, and visibly thankful for the guests in their care, beginning at the door and permeating the building. We had an exceptional stay - from the location to the food/drink to the great beds - and we have found our hotel for future visits to NYC. The Park Lane has created a thoughtful place and is run super professionally! A++… -

I loved this hotel, yes it may be a little old but its an old hotel. A historical one at that. The staff was wonderful, each person I encountered was very nice and helpful. We arrived early and couldnt get into a room yet but the front desk staff was wonderful, as well as the bell hop, baggage attendant and valet. All wonderful staff experiences, including the small gift shop and coffee shop as well. The room was nicely sized with a view of the park and partial city buildings. The carpets and walls were a little dated but thats to be expected with the age of the hotel. The bathroom was slightly small but not bothersome. We stayed for one night and I enjoyed it. The bed wasnt the most comfortable and on the soft side but again not everyone likes soft beds. I would definitely stay again. -

Stayed here on a trip with some family! The service was UNBEATABLE, and the amenities were very nice. The location is PERFECT. We had an amazing view of Central Park everyday we woke up. We walked down to the lobby for a coffee and were greeted by the doorman. Great job at an even greater facility! -

Nice older hotel. Rooms need more lighting and consistent features. We had a fridge in one room and not another. The Park view is worth it. Nice complimentary reception in the evening. One major negative is they have double beds not queen beds in some rooms. -

Top hotel. Good rooms. Fantastic view. Expensive breakfast with little choice. Room furniture is dated. No coffeemaker in the room? Elevators not all working. Airco not working well.Summarizing: old hotel, fantastic geography. -
Review 91 (2023-08-28 - Rating: 5)
Hotel and staff are very pleasant and service oriented providing a positive and memorable guest stay. Avoid Darling on the Rooftop - service is abysmal, food is disappointing and the views are better in the park view guest rooms. -

Wonderful experience at the Park Lane. Centrally located, very friendly staff.A special thank you to Leslie at the front desk, who was so personable and helpful. When she saw that we had booked there for our 20th anniversary, she sent a lovely note and a bottle of bubbly and chocolate strawberries to our room.A helpful concierge booked our shuttle to the airport. And when it was raining buckets, the front desk loaned us umbrellas.Would absolutely go back there and recommend to anyone wanting a central location, quiet, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. -

Nice view of Central Park from the restaurant on the second floor. Complimentary happy hour with beer and wine included. Continental breakfast wasnt bad, but not worth the $45 they were charging for it; luckily, mine was included with my room. Also, for some reason they shut the water off to the entire hotel the night of my stay, which was very inconvenient. Fitness facilities were surprisingly decent and not crowded. -

Review 95 (2021-02-01 - Rating: 4)
We stayed at the Park Lane for one night. The room was clean, the bathroom was beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. The downside was that we booked a room with a view of the park, and when we got there, they downgraded us to a room that did not face the park without notifying us. Once we got to the room and realized we didnt have a park view, we called the front desk and we were told that they had long term guests in all the rooms with views, so none of them were available. The view was what we were most looking forward to, and it was frustrating that they were offering rooms they didnt have! Otherwise a positive experience. -
Review 96 (2019-10-15 - Rating: 4)
Lovely hotel, the furniture is a bit dated but the staff are all very helpful and the views cant be beat! Comfy (firm)beds and pillows, the fitness room is better than most small hotelsNo in room coffee maker but they did offer an electric kettle and fridge. Plenty of closet space, good water pressure, lots of drawers. We did get a lot of noise from the street below but its New York. -

Had a great experience here celebrating an anniversary staycation. The view of Central Park day and night is something you can fall in love with, even if youve lived here for 30 years. When not galivanting around Central Park, there are tons of trains to get around the city close by. Service was super friendly, helpful and prompt. Shout out to Betty for an amazing breakfast hospitality both mornings! -

Lovely view to the park. The staff was efficient and kind. It keeps the Manhattan atmosphere alive and hope you will maintain it because although it is a big hotel, it still feels intimate. I would repeat m experience anytime. One suggestion: the lounge and cafeteria could use a good revamp. The staff there would also do good with customer service training. -
Review 99 (2018-03-09 - Rating: 5)

Stayed on the 38th floor in Central Park view suite and it was exceptional. The view was amazing and we were so happy with our choice to book that room while visiting the Big Apple. The room was huge and everything was nice and well maintained. Only feedback is that the room didn’t have curtains that blocked the light. 5 AM and it felt like all of the lights were on. -

I was amazed at how spacious the bedrooms were at Park Lane Hotel. Ive stayed in hotels in New York several times and the rooms are usually tiny. The rooms were spotless and the location of the hotel at the bottom of Central Park is super convenient. The bar is quite small and one night we couldnt get a seat there so went to a bar over the road instead. Overall, really great value for money. -

Love this place! Everyone at the front desk is kind and informative. All staff wore masks throughout our stays. Stayed here 4 times so far and will continue. Its old Manhattan. Clean, lobby is beautiful. They are remodeling the upper floors, can not wait to see them! -
Review 104 (2017-07-25 - Rating: 5)
We were on the 41 level of the central park view side. This was by far the best view Ive ever had in a hotel. The room was decent because the furniture could be updated. At 5-7 pm, the hotel provides free beer, wine, drinks, snacks, cheeses and finger foods which you could take up to your room and eat there. The staff was great too. Overall I will probably stay there again. -

Beautiful room which was very clean, great size, incredible view and perfect location! There was a $40 Resort Fee which upon questioning the hotel they said its for the free wifi! Very strange and I didnt even need wifi, but they said everyone has to pay. It was $65 for valet parking which isnt really valet, but a parking garage on the backside of the hotel, but fine. There was an additional charge to my credit card for $81. I called the hotel billing department a dozen times and left messages, but never heard back. Called the hotel front desk and he said that its only a hold and not a charge, to which I disagreed. Anyway, I had to dispute it with my credit card company and still never heard back from the hotel on this fraudulent/mistaken charge. Be sure to check your credit card statement! Id give five stars if it wasnt for the fishy resort fee and the incorrect $81 charge with no response. I did love the room/hotel. They were renovating the higher floors while I was there so its probably going to be even more incredible! -

Brought my son to this delightful hotel for a few days. This is easily one of the best locations in all of Manhattan. Between the serenity and beauty of central park and the hustle/bustle of midtown nyc, you simply cannot find a nicer place to stay. The room was quiet and very comfortable; the bed was incredibly supportive. The hotel staff was exceptional. I paid a very reasonable rate for a first-class experience here. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation! Treat yourself! -

Hotel reception and staff were great, and rooms are well equipped and very clean, but a little bit dated, especially the small bathroom. We had a partial park view looking over the Plaza hotel and it was still breathtaking.WiFi was included, and there is a guest reception with complimentary good and drinks every day from 5 to 7 pm. -

Clean spacious room, excellent location, lovely housekeeper from Jamaica who knew who Marvus Garvey was, Le Labo body lotion a joy, swanky roof top bar which almost compares with the best in Bangkok, friendly front desk, all the ingredients for a super stay. Pricey but worth it. -

We really enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Park Lane hotel. The city view rooms were good - probably worth aiming for the park view if you can. The decor in the lobby and rooms is really pretty and whimsical. The beds are large and comfortable - we had the 2 queens. The air conditioning didn’t feel terribly effective but was okay. Drinks downstairs were fun. We didn’t do the breakfast as it sounded expensive if you aren’t planning to drink alcohol. Central Park south is busier than I remembered but probably makes sense in the summer. It’s a good location for Fifth Ave shopping and the park and easy access to a few subway options. Overall I would recommend if you want to stay in this area. -

Really nice hotel in Manhattan right off Central Park. I have stayed here several times. The staff is very accommodating, I stayed there this summer when unfortunately the air conditioning went out in the building. The management was as accommodating as they could be. Betty who is a regular hostess at the Happy Hour is always great to get back to. If youve been to the Happy Hour youll remember Betty really sweet lady that takes the time to be truly hospitable to all the guests.
