I can only say it was a great hotel, the rooms could be improved but there is so much to do in NY that you dont spend a lot of time in your room. A big compliment to all the staff who are always polite and courteous. Special mention must be made of Toni, the man at the elevator to the roof top bar, with his empathy, help and absolutely terrific manner it was always a pleasure to enter the hotel. Thank you Toni! Greetings from Berlin Christian -

We were a little worried after reading reviews for the Empire Hotel. However, we LOVED our stay. Everyone at the hotel was kind and friendly. Our room was perfect. We had the two double bed, superior room. It was perfect for the family. The location is great too. We could have walked to most of the sights, but the weather was cold during our stay so we grabbed a car occasionally. It’s a block from our main event, which was the Nutcracker. It’s a block or two from Central Park. It was a short walk to Times Square and 5th Ave. All around, it was a wonderful NYC experience based out of the Empire Hotel. -

We stayed at The Empire Hotel for the week of our wedding. When checking in we were pleasantly surprised to find out that weve been given a complimentary room upgrade. The room (and the hotel as a whole) was gorgeous and clean. The dresser and closet were on the small side but we made it work. The free water is a big plus, many hotels charge for bottled water, but you can just go to the front desk and ask for some. All of the staff were so so friendly and always showed a smile. As a gossip girl fan, I had to go to the roof and try the namesake drink as well as take in the BREATHTAKING views. This hotel is in such a fabulous location that you can get to anywhere you need. Not even a 10 minute walk to central park and 30 minutes to reach practically anywhere by sub. It is surrounded by some of the most delicious bars and restaurants! (We highly recommend Joannes). All in all our stay was so magical. Thank you, Empire, for playing such a big part in making our wedding so memorable, stress free, and stunning. -

The Empire Hotel was great for our trip. We literally left each morning and came back each night. We weren’t visiting to hang out in our room. Bottled water at front desk whenever needed. Several restaurants and coffee shops right around the corner. Subway is super close and so is Central Park. Yes; the rooms are small. It’s NYC - what do you expect? Bathroom was small but fine.Maps available at the front desk. Lobby entrance was fun. Rooftop bar was eh. Pretty pricey, but it’s good to go once. There is a Target close by. Get supplies there if you want - Cokes, etc.Taxis waiting at the front if you needed one.We would stay again! -

My stay at the Empire was wonderful! its a gorgeous old place, perfectly situated, and very well kept up; spotless, and manages to be both retro and modern. It has an attitude, but the staff does not! Every employee I dealt with was friendly, cheerful and helpful. My room was tiny, but cozy and comfortable. If I make it to NYC again, will definitely plan to stay here again! :) -
Review 6 (2024-10-09 - Rating: 4)
We stayed one night and arrived extremely late, but the staff was great and accommodating. Book directly with the Empire Hotel on their website and you can get a reduced rate plus a late 1:00pm checkout. The code is DIRECT to save you the trouble of looking for it when you are at the booking page. The room we had was small, but its New York, so its actually quite spacious in relative terms. The place was clean and I love the decor, but its a bit past its prime and could use some new furnishings and window coverings that you can actually open instead of the Roman Shades without a pull cord and splines that are falling out of it. Absolutely would stay again, but there is room for improvement given the cultural history of the Empire Hotel. -
Review 7 (2024-07-30 - Rating: 4)
Absolutely great location for sightseeing, and going either up or downtown. Great food right there and desert next door. Visit roof top deck too. I had no issues with the room. It was well maintained and very comfortable. Not alot of services from the staff but its NYC and this is an affordable room. They were perfectly professional and friendly. Go there. You wont be sorry. -

This hotel isnt fancy. But if youre looking for a decent place with a great location, that it absolutely is. The staff were always very friendly. And the location... Did I mention that? Its great! I had no problems getting around to see what I wanted to see. That includes a major subway stop a couple of blocks away. I would stay here agsin and recommend it to friends. (Note: I never went to the deck, I was busy going about the city instead. The pool is small according to some reviews. That was zero issue for me, on loudly.) -

Review 10 (2024-08-03 - Rating: 4)
Absolutely fantastic location. Its right across the street from Lincoln Center and a subway stop. Bonus there are restaurants, an ice cream shop and a Starbucks on the street level of the building. Nice hotel desk staff and the cleaning crew does a good job. The only downside is that the hotel rooms/building are getting shabby. Uneven floors, creaky doors, cracked tiles in the bathrooms, wheezing clunky air conditioning units, lumbering slow elevators, no coffee makers in the rooms, tiny bathrooms, and a few instances of peeling wall paper. But really, who comes to Manhatten to stay in their hotel room? The rooms here are shabby but clean. And 1000 great things are just outside the hotels front door. -
Review 11 (2024-09-05 - Rating: 5)
Was walkable to everything. The staff were great and made me really feel welcomed. They were so friendly and helpful as well. I am sorry I didnt get any names, but all the front staff were great Friday - Sunday 8/23-8/25. There is a Starbucks just outside the front door and a few restaurants. Central Park is one block away. -
Review 12 (2024-08-27 - Rating: 4)
The Empire Hotel in New York City boasts an unbeatable location across from Lincoln Center, offering easy access to Central Park and numerous attractions. Guests enjoy spacious and comfortable rooms, some even with stunning city views. The rooftop bar provides a vibrant atmosphere with live music. However, some guests find the decor a bit dated and the Wi-Fi inconsistent. Overall, if you prioritize location and comfort over modern aesthetics, the Empire Hotel is a great choice for experiencing the heart of Manhattan. -
Review 13 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 4)
Staff is kind and helpful. Area is great and safe. We’ve enjoyed being a 15-20 minute walk from Times Square and about a 4 minute walk from Central Park. Highly recommend! -
Review 14 (2024-05-28 - Rating: 4)
This hotel was better than expected! Great location to many things. Roof top restaurant was awesome; great view, service and food. The lobby was beautiful and comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Smaller than a typical hotel room but very comfortable bed with a good layout to fit things in neatly and provide storage. I would say the room, sheets and towels were all very clean especially the bathroom. Overall the hotel was darkly decorated and seemed to have dim lighting. The service was some of the best ever. Helpful kind and professional! We would stay there again and have already recommended it to others. Thank you for a great trip. -
Review 15 (2024-08-28 - Rating: 4)
We stayed at the Empire for a week while our son moved into Fordham. Every member of the staff was professional and friendly. Front desk made sure we had a view of Lincoln Center/Fordham, housekeeping were fabulous cleaning the room and removed numerous empty boxes without complaint, and especially the bellmen - all of them - but special mention of Jose. He assisted us with moving everything from the room to Fordham. All staff were eager to assist us with anything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the rainfall type shower very nice. That said - the room could have used an upgrade like replacing old doors, adding more storage and little touches like provide paper and pen. However, the staff and location (especially for moving into Fordham) made it a perfect place for us. -
Review 16 (2024-06-23 - Rating: 4)
The room are little spacious depending on what you want, the color and light there a very dark, the bed are kind of, i didnt like it with the pillow, everything looks a little old, with some scratches, the rugs in the room, i dont know, but they are clean, no services, nothing. the location is good not far from times Square, i means. My stay here was not bad, it was quiet.I was there for 3 night with my mum and my kids (3kids, 1 infant), for a junior suite with 2 beds (full size) -
Review 17 (2024-04-30 - Rating: 5)
I think we have found our home in the city. The Empire was everything we wanted while spending a week in NYC. For a weeks stay, we needed a suite and the room was perfect. We had one of the King Corner Suites and we couldnt have had a better room. The view on 2 sides was terrific - a view up Broadway and Columbus on one side, and Lincoln Center right outside our other 2 windows. And of course there was no better location in the city. Lots of natural light created a beautiful ambiance. Service was attentive and extremely friendly. We cant wait to return! -
Review 18 (2024-08-06 - Rating: 4)
Beautiful hotel, but they dont have coffee in-room or room service, which seems silly. The mattress felt old, and the air-conditioning wasnt strong, but to be next to Central Park in a convenient location was nice. -
Review 19 (2024-06-13 - Rating: 4)
Overall, this is a good place if you’re staying for a business trip or a few nights by yourself. The rooms are very small and dark, so I wouldn’t recommend for a family trip. I did like the location and there are a lot of good bakeries/dessert places nearby. -
Review 20 (2024-11-24 - Rating: 4)
Great location, close to the Lincoln Center, some great restaurants, and a subway stop. Rooms could use some updating, but staff were great. -

Review 22 (2024-02-24 - Rating: 4)
The location is great, the staff is all very nice, and the rooftop bar/restaurant is very fun (but not operated by the hotel). The room was too hot, we had to keep the AC as low as it would go (55°) to sleep. We were on the 11th floor, thought wed have a great view...but it was a strange inside corner and all we saw were into other rooms. So, blinds stayed shut. And then no coffee in room was a bummer as we had to go to a cafe outside, next door to get coffee and start our days. I dont know if Id stay again... But we had a good rate, and again, great location... So Id possibly just ask for an actual view and that might help a lot. 🙂 -
Review 23 (2024-03-26 - Rating: 5)
The hotel is in a prime location, clean for the most part, close to a lot of stores and food options. Decent price for rooms a night. No coffee or tea machines in the rooms or options for either at the hotel. Only basic channels to watch on the television and service are not compatible with mirroring your devices or streaming app features. There is no streaming app feature at all. Staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. Check-in is at 3pm, our rooms were not available until 4:30pm. I would book again due to the prime location the hotel sits in; I now know what to expect and how to plan my stay in the future. Its definitely worth checking out. -

The location was great. I felt safe and was relatively quiet. There were some maintenance issues, like the shower drained slowly and the mini fridge didnt work really well but they replaced that for me. The rooms could use some updating, our chair was repaired with tape. Negative -

We spent a magical moment with our three children in the Empire hotel, a welcome with the greatest sympathy. In addition. For the occasion, the hotel upgraded us to a superior room, which made our stay magical. Thank you to your establishment for these unforgettable memories that we were able to offer our children, the rooms are spacious, the hotel is quiet and very well maintained. So yes there are small jobs to be done but seriously it did not damage the quality of our stay. Thank you again for all these moments. I hope to come back to your place very soon. -

We checked in for a night, and we ended up being late to arrive, and they were so nice at the front desk and even gave us an upgrade! We are returning for one more night next week, and are looking forward to it. -

Review 28 (2023-12-30 - Rating: 5)
Perfect for our one night stay in NYC. Great location for the main attractions at a really decent price. Mattress and pillows were really good, we slept great. They offered a crib for our baby, we sleep with him so we got the single bed but I always appreciate that they have that option. The shower was nice and tall, my husband is 63 so it really does make a difference. The only thing that would of made it better would have been the towels, they were small and very rough, there was no coffee maker in the room, and when we turned on the heater it made creaking sounds but it went away after a minute. They were minor things, we still enjoyed our stay.Staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived and gave us priority since we had a reservation. Valet was an extra charge (around $70) but you have to pay for parking anyway (around $50) and I dont think its close so we decided to upgrade and it was great not to have to worry about our car, we planned on walking to were we needed to go and it worked out great for us.Its a well maintained hotel, lobby is clean and spacious and was beautifully decorated, really gives you the New York vibe. There are 4 elevators so we never had long waits to get to our room. Didnt get to check out the rooftop restaurant because it was closed. Found the stairs to the pool but we have a baby and a stroller and couldnt find the elevator to take us all the way up but didnt try that hard so there might have been a button we didnt see. My only note with the rest of the hotel is that brightening it up might be more inviting, the rooms and hallways are a very dark theme that dont do the beautiful place justice in my opinion. We would definitely stay here again, however we will upgrade for the bigger room maybe with a view because its a great location. Has lots of restaurant options just a few feet away and target is less than half a mile for any essentials. We stopped at a coffee shop right around the corner on our way to the park, you arrive close to a playground and if you keep going a little bit you find the ice rink. Times square and Rockefeller were a longer walk but worth it, lots of places to stop on the way so didnt mind the walk at all. -

I was pleasantly surprised by our stay after reading the reviews that others wrote. The employees were very accommodating and polite, our room was clean and comfortable, and our view of the city was wonderful. Thank goodness for the air conditioning because outside it reached 100 degrees during our stay.. The beds were a bit small, but that is to be expected in a small room in the city. The pool was very small as well, but so refreshing in the extreme heat. Location was great - walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again! -

This was a trip for 6 ladies. The hotel is in a nice area of New York City. We felt safe. Walking distance to most sights. However it rained so Uber was our friend. The hotel is older but the room was spacious and clean. All 6 of us were able to stay in one room. The rooftop bar and lounge was wonderful, wish we could have sat outside. Service was great. Cannot beat the price. Would recommend it. -

Stayed here for a weekend and it was a nice stay! The hotel itself is nice, quiet, and well-maintained. The check-in process was quick and easy. The person who helped me was super friendly and accommodating! Im super picky when it comes to the “standard of cleanliness.” The room was nice and clean but the thing I felt yucky by was the carpet in the room. I would suggest for the hotel to deep-clean their carpet in the rooms. I would stay here again but I would only walk around the room with socks or flippers. -

Review 36 (2023-09-25 - Rating: 4)
Its a classy but old hotel, charm but a few details are overlooked. For NY and its history its delightful. The location is superb, walking distance to Tavern on the Green, Central Park, Cruise Piers etc. Fantastic views from Roof Top, some of the rooms youre staring at a building with its windows. Rooms are small but adequate enough but without window view it can feel confining. Concierge, Bell Hop, taxi and Uber are easy to get. Have cleaning service sit on toilet to see what we see and add a little extra detail for our comfort of paying the higher prices. -

Five nights before Christmas. Two rooms. Great overall! Very good location for us: Two subway stations a few blocks away, restaurants, Lincoln Center, Central Park, walked to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, short subway and short walk to Radio City walked back, etc.Staff responded right away to email notification about late arrival, we got rooms we requested, very fast check in.Not perfect: No AC in one room but they provided a new room the same evening. The windows open (good!) but leaked a little which could have been a problem. Our rooms were somewhat dated, but were very clean and plenty big (for New York). Plenty of power outlets for our too many devices. The mattresses were very good; we slept well.Wed happily stay at The Empire again. -
Review 38 (2024-03-31 - Rating: 4)
Very noisy room. We were on the 5th floor and it was almost like the dual glazed windows were open. We had a hard time sleeping most nights due to noise. This is an old style hotel with no fans in the bathroom and an overall tired dated look with odd dark wall paper in the narrow hallways. Our bathroom had paint peeling off the ceiling. Having said that and aside from the noise, the staff was great and the location was central enough to walk to most sites. They were also one of the few hotels that offered rooms large enough to accommodate dual beds and a hide-a-bed. -
Review 39 (2024-01-14 - Rating: 4)
The hotel sits in a prime location with many things within walking distance. The staff was courteous and professional. The rooms are where they lost a star. Our beds were made with only a top sheet, so you either slept with a comforter over you or nothing at all. There was no thermostat control in the rooms so sometimes a comforter was too hot. The toilet in the room had been installed crooked and against the wall. And there is no coffee anywhere in the hotel. -
Review 40 (2023-09-16 - Rating: 5)
Great location, quiet area, clean and safe which was extremely important. No too far from the sightseeing and close walking distance to central park! Close to the fashion are, museums, everything was close yet safe and peaceful. The rooms was a good size, I just wish a bit more updated. The roof top view is amazing! You can have dinner there, just make sure to make reservations. 😉 -

Came here for a networking party at the rooftop space. Nice space and friendly staff. The bartenders really know what they are doing. The passed hors d’oeuvres were tasty and the views are top notch. -
Review 42 (2023-09-11 - Rating: 4)
I wanted to come here for lunch on their top floor because I was a fan of Gossip Girl back in the day. I did not stay overnight so I cant comment on any of the rooms. But I can tell you that the staff in the lounge were so kind and sweet to everyone. They were patient, friendly, and professional and everything they did. I spent almost 2 hours there with my friend looking at the view, walking out onto the terrace, just enjoying New York City from a new view. I enjoyed it. -

We had a pleasant stay. Staff were incredibly welcoming and service minded, we arrived early and was offered an early check in which was highly appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located and we walked almost everywhere. Make sure to check out the rooftop bar as well. Great views, cocktails and food. The staff there is also incredibly attentive and friendly. The only downside of things would be the rooms. They’re pretty outdated and could really use some work. However for the price you pay, this hotel was great. -
Review 44 (2024-05-06 - Rating: 5)
I enjoyed The Empire Hotel. The service was great. We went to the rooftop bar (which was nice) but didnt stay because there wasnt much room left to sit or stand around comfortably, plus there was a private party on one side. I definitely liked that a lot of things were within walking distance. -

I didnt stay in the hotel. I had brunch at the Rooftop restaurant. The food was excellent and the drinks were good. Pearla was a great hostess and I will definitely return soon. The hospitality manager was very accommodating. Thank you so much for making my birthday a great one! -

I enjoyed my stay. There was a slight issue at check-in, and Adam, the manager, got it resolved easily. He even provided a room upgrade. After seeing my colleagues accommodations, I had even greater appreciation for the upgrade because the standard queen room was very small. The location was great, right across the street from Lincoln Center. The staff were all helpful and kind, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Thank you 😊 -
Review 47 (2024-12-06 - Rating: 4)
Its not a cheap place to stay.... But thats pretty common for NYC. Its a 100 year old hotel... Its true value? Its. closeness to the David Koch theater.... So after a performance of the NY ballet, it was literally just across the street.I wish they had room service... But there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. The neighborhood is fairly typical for a big city. Dont look like youre lost... And try to have someone with you at all times. There was a shooting in central park (near the hotel) but thats not typical -

I found this a really good hotel. Excellent service, nice clean rooms, great location. Next NYC trip I will stay here againI will say that although there was temperature control in the rooms, it wasnt very accurate and didnt persist at the consistent temperature it claimed. 70F felt more like 75F. -

My five star review is solely based on customer service alone!Steven helped me at the front desk and made my stay the absolute best. He was extremely patient in answering all my questions and worked to accommodate my needs during my business trip!I would come back to the Empire Hotel again the next time I’m in town for business, solely based on his customer service alone. THANK YOU STEVEN and everyone at the Empire Hotel. You’ve got a loyal guest for life! -

The reviews had me nervous but this hotel was great! I spend a lot of time in nyc but usually in the theater district. I picked this hotel bc it was right next to the venue of an event I was attending. The lobby was lovely, the elevators were fast and readily available (one of my biggest concerns whenever I’m in the city), the staff was incredibly nice, the rooms/bathrooms were clean, in good shape, and pretty standard size wise for nyc hotels, we had a lovely view, and the location was great. The rooftop bar was also a big perk - cute, solid drink options, and good food! I look forward to an excuse to stay there again! -
Review 51 (2023-11-11 - Rating: 5)
We stay here every year because it is convenient to Lincoln center and we go to an event at Lincoln Center. Otherwise, I would likely I would look for a different hotel. When we checked in Thursday night, the room was 67° and the hotel staff couldn’t help us regulate the temperature but brought up an extra blanket. They have no room for us to switch into and it was 10 o’clock at night and I wanted to go to bed. I had to wake up early. The next night seem to have fixed the thermostat. We stayed in room 115 and we noticed that there was also fruit flies buzzing around the room. Hopefully they were fruit flies. I’m a biology major and they did look like Drosophila. -

Great hotel and great location. The check in process was very easy and smooth. The clerk was very friendly. Rooms are super clean and the lobby is really cool. We picked this hotel because we were across the street from the Met and had tickets to the opera. Being in town for only one night made the location perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the great room and great service to check in. I will be coming back to this hotel. -
Review 53 (2023-05-14 - Rating: 5)
I did not book this room; a friend did. She noted that the initial room we were assigned was not nice and that the A/C was broken, but by the time I arrived she had already been upgraded to a better room. This was the only room I saw in person but I loved it. We had a view of Lincoln Center Plaza and were walking distance to a number of great restaurants and bodegas and coffee shops for meals whenever we wanted, and even got a late night cookie delivery (because NYC vacations mean on demand cookies).Cons are the elevators were too slow at peak times when everyone wants to leave or come back for the night, and it can take up to half an hour to get your vehicle back if you opt for valet service (or so we were told; our car took less than 15 minutes but the fact they said it could take a half hour probably means sometimes it does, so plan ahead for checkout if you have to make a flight or see a show. -

We had a great stay at the Empire Hotel! We are already looking forward to coming back! The location is amazing -- right next to Lincoln Center and all the wonderful arts events offered there and nearby in walking distance. Our room had a nice view and the beds were super comfortable -- not mushy at al! The staff was fantastic and the hotel has a relaxed vibe despite its over-the-top decor which has its own special high-energy appeal. The only negative was the hot water which was extremely hot -- on the one hand, this was reassuring because it speaks of cleanliness. On the other hand, if you had a little kid, this might be dangerous, so please, managers, at least warn people or re-consider that extreme temp. Thanks, Empire! -

Review 56 (2023-08-03 - Rating: 4)
I recently stayed at The Empire Hotel for a few days, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While there were some positive aspects, there were several significant issues that marred my stay.Check-in was a frustrating ordeal as I had to wait for approximately 45 minutes due to a malfunctioning phone in the room. The staff seemed ill-prepared to handle the situation promptly, and it was not until the next day that the phone was fixed, causing unnecessary inconvenience during my stay.Another disappointment was the lack of bed sheets and comforters provided for the sofa bed in the room. After requesting these amenities, I was surprised when they were delivered in a large black garbage bag, which was unprofessional and off-putting.Moreover, cleanliness was a serious concern throughout my stay. Upon entering the room, I noticed a spill on the sofa that had not been cleaned. Despite multiple reminders, it took the hotel staff two days to address the issue, leaving an unsightly stain for an extended period. One of the main attractions of the hotel was the rooftop, but to my dismay, it was closed for three out of the four days of my stay. Although I was informed that the closure was due to weather conditions, I couldnt help but question the validity of the explanation, as the weather appeared perfectly fine during those days. This lack of access to a promised amenity was disappointing and affected my overall enjoyment of the hotel. On a positive note, the location of The Empire Hotel is indeed pleasant, offering easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Additionally, the hotel staff members were friendly and accommodating when dealing with the various issues I encountered during my stay.In conclusion, The Empire Hotel fell short of my expectations. The check-in process was marred by delays and phone issues, the cleanliness of the room was subpar, and the closure of the rooftop was a major letdown. While the location and friendly staff were commendable, they were not enough to compensate for the numerous shortcomings. I hope that the hotel management takes these criticisms constructively and works to improve the overall guest experience. -

I visited the rooftop restaurant for a private event, so I dont know about the rooms. The rooftop is a decent size area thats more of a wraparound rooftop but plenty of space for a large gathering or even a smaller, intimate group. The environment is relaxed, like hanging out at a backyard get-together. They really do a good job of serving their guests with both food and drink. The appetizers were really impressive and had plenty of vegetarian options. I look forward to returning in the near future. -

The location is a block away from central park and near subways to get you around the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we got a great view of the city and Lincoln Center. There were some issues with the elevators while we were there but we werent held up for too long. We were just sad that we couldnt use the fitness center due to the unusually hot weather that caused them to close it temporarily. Their rooftop is also incredible! Super friendly and efficient staff too! -

We stay at The Empire Hotel whenever we come to the MET Opera. (Lincoln Center is across the street). The hotel is truly iconic: widely known and acknowledged for it’s distinctive excellence. The staff demonstrates a genuine sense of caring. Jose was exceptionally helpful when we arrived, caring for all our bags in a meticulous manner, making sure everything got to the room and greeting us coming and going during our stay. Dennis was very helpful navigating our shopping trip and always with a smile, asking us if we needed his assistance. The staff, 24/7 at the front desk were readily available to help with any questions. The Empire Rooftop Lounge is exquisite. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, plenty of towels and toiletries and wonderful housekeeping staff. We always feel welcomed and safe at the Empire. -

The hotel has no amenities at all in rooms. No ice. No coffee. But what it did have was an incredibly comfortable bed and great shower. Location is unbeatable. Especially if one has to get dressed and leave hotel just to have coffee -

The rooms are ok. They are clean but are really showing signs of wear snd tear. Our bathroom door was warped and cracked due to water moisture. The same for the bathroom Vanity. The furniture in general is looking quite tired.Having said that the staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. And the location is excellent for walking distance to restaurants, cafes and the subway. -

Lobby is beautiful and the rooms are nice. Its also in a great location. However, be aware that there isnt a coffee maker in the room and theres no coffee provided in the lobby so youll have to go elsewhere. Theres also a nightly residence fee that covers things you would expect to receive at a hotel anyway like WiFi and fitness room access. -

Location, service, cleanliness all 5 star. A special mention to all the boys in the foyer, super helpful and friendly.I did find the room a little dated and required minor TLC.If you get the opportunity I recommend the roof top terrace. Beautiful atmosphere but priced to accommodate. -

What an amazing hotel. Half a block and you are in times square. So many attractions are super close. We walked to the Empire State Building, Central Park, Minskoff Theatre, Julliard, Radio City. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again -

Great location, 5 mins walk from central park & columbus St subway, lobby is absolutely beautiful, rooms nice and clean, fridge and safe within. Bathroom could do with a wee upgrade however clean and no issues. Would love to revisit in the future, staff more than helpful too 🥰 -

Finding an affordable hotel so close to Central Park was amazing! Overall, it is a comfortable, good hotel. It is an old building, and the decor is steam punk, old 60s unique. The room was short on space, but it was ok. My major disappointment was the 24-hour air conditioning motors going on and on. The cheaper rooms are all in the interior walls of the building, so your view is other rooms to your left, right and across. All those AC units echoing from the walled canyon were very loud for me and non-stop. Good thing we were out sightseeing during the day! I struggled to sleep at night, though. I would not stay again as a better room is probably not in my budget. So pay less, get inconveniences! The Lincoln Center is right across the street! The restaurant next door was great (PJ Clarkes). Down the street, the Flame Diner has a terrific, NYC vibe and is open 24/7!! First time in the Big Apple, and Id like to go back. Will I stay here? Maybe... if I bring good earplugs!! -

I stayed at The Empire Hotel and loved the experience. The location is unbeatable, right by Lincoln Center and a short walk to Central Park. The room was comfortable and had a sleek, modern look. The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight the views were awesome, and it was a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring. If you want a stylish stay in the heart of NYC, this is a great choice! -

Empire hotel made us feel like at home. Checkin was a breeze, and rooms were neat. Housekeeping was amazing on a daily basis. With kids they made our rooms fresh each day. Staff was exceptional and helpful. The view from our 10th floor the best and was the crossroads of Columbus and Central Park. Pool was lovely with nice lounge chairs and cabanas. The restaurant was also great. -

Me and my mom recently stayed at the Empire hotel for the weekend and we loved it! It’s in a great location that is close to everything and a super walkable distance from great attractions. The staff was kind and always at your service, they even upgraded our room for free! The hotel is well designed and clean. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here! -

Alright, let’s talk about my stay at The Empire Hotel – that little gem nestled between Lincoln Center and Central Park. First off, the food? Chef’s kiss! I’m talking about PJ Clarke’s Restaurant – where flavor parties happen on your taste buds. From truffle-infused bites to melt-in-your-mouth delicacies, they’ve got it dialed in. I practically waltzed out of there humming a foodie anthem. But hold up – let’s chat about the drinks. Now, I’m all for adventure, but these concoctions? A bit like a jazz fusion band – unexpected notes, some hits, and a few head-scratchers. I mean, who knew you could mix elderflower with jalapeño? But hey, props for creativity. 🍹 -

The rooms are small but comfortable and had almost everything U needed. Good security that makes one feel safe. Not so close to restaurants and subway entrance, though. I had to order food online all of the time. -

Have been a frequent guest at the Empire hotel as it’s so reasonably priced and room size compared to many other hotels. The location at Lincoln Center, Central Park and nearby Columbus Corcle can’t be better.Pablo, who recently checked us in couldn’t have been more accommodating for our needs, was personable and professional. Many food options are in the immediate vicinity, there is no shortage to find something for every taste and dietary need.Rooms do show their age a bit (always clean), but we’re here in the room basically to sleep and not hang out.Checkout time at noon is an added bonus -

Stayed for 5 nights and 6 daysIt was a perfect location for the subway stations and easy check in process. Fatima I believe was her name, gave the best service at the front desk. The hotel also offered free bottled water at the front desk daily. If you can’t get an early check in they do hold your luggage until your room is ready. The only thing was was that when we tried calling the concierge desk from our room phone, no one picked up and we had to go straight to the desk to ask something. -

It’s been a while since I felt so welcome by all of the staff at a hotel. Definitely surpasses any reputation it has gotten from being featured in gossip girl… in other words they make you feel like you’re living it rather then being where it was filmed. Full of charm, character, and endless stories to be told. -

The rooms were small but very nice and had everything you want, including a great shower and a little fridge. The towels were just ok, and the AC would be out every morning or every time I came back to my room, but it was just an issue with a breaker needing to be flipped and an easy fix every time. There was no food or room service at all because the restaurant was closed for renos, and the bar was closed every time we tried to go. Excellent location right near a subway station and the Lincoln centre. -

All in all and even though there are a few issues, this is a decent hotel in its price range, considering it being a NYC hotel. The location is fairly good and perhaps one of the more important aspects of this hotel. It is close to a number of good restaurants, services such as pharmacies, coffee shops and more as well as good communications. Even though the hotel, and this goes for the room I stayed in, could come across as a bit worn it is at the same time clean and the staff is, from my experience, both helpful and friendly. A more troublesome issue in the room I stayed in was that every sound in the corridor outside of the room could easily be heard inside the room. One other issue that might sound less relevant but which could be troublesome for some: during my stay in the spring of 2022, the free wifi connection was hardly working at all. -

Decent hotel for very reasonable price.Very convenient location, across the street from Lincoln Center, less than two blocks from Fordham University Law School and Business School. Two blocks from Central Park. Lots of great restaurants in the area.Very helpful, friendly, professional staff. Room was very small but immaculately clean. (Would give 3.5 stars because of room size and tiny bathroom, but Google doesn’t give that option… so I’m giving 4.) -

We ate at Rosa Mexicano at Columbus in NYC. Fantastic meal. I got to meet an amazing chef, Mike Mulcahy. We sampled several dishes, and all were outstanding. My favorite was Elote, a corn dish. Each item we had was presented in a beautiful display only to be outdone by its amazing flavor. Cocktails well balanced. Pomegranate margarita is their hallmark drink. Highly recommend. -
