I can’t believe I’ve lived in Harlem for this long and only just now visited this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was fantastic (shoutout to Filip). I’m always hesitant ordering lamb dishes at restaurants because of how often they get them wrong, but I’m so glad I ended up ordering it. Made reservations for Valentines Day here and was absolutely blown away. The ambiance was great made for a great date. This place is amazing I love the atmosphere here especially the live music and warm vibes that the bar gives. Esp on Sundays my favorite bartender Jamila is amazing!!!! She makes the best drinks and makes you feel at home. The way she craft her drinks is addictive and definitely gives drinks lots of love! Sunday are definitely the best day to come and have a fun time with the ambiance.

This place is definitely a chill spot on a Saturday night, with a very good DJ that spins hip-hop and R&B classics. The drinks were tasty and strong. I had the steamed mussels and fries which I really enjoyed. The fries were crispy and the mussels were not over cooked. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. Great place for a drink and some good music for small groups of friends (4) in the front. The back is spacious and more for sit down dinner while the front is more like a lounge bar.

Happy hour was amazing! We enjoyed the charcuterie & will come back to try their brunch options. My only complaint was I ordered the angus steak “medium well” and I did not receive medium well, it was very chewy & cooked well done. But lovely ambiance, great wine selections.

Great restaurant in the heart of Harlem. Food was good, I really enjoyed the steak. Service was fast but a little off, not as friendly or attentive as I would have liked, plus I made a reservation but they didnt check it in despite me providing my name and reservation time and got a no show notification from OpenTable. The restaurant resolved it quickly though once I noticed. Ambiance was incredible for the neighborhood, I felt like I was further downtown and it reminded me of the restaurants near Lincoln center that I ate at growing up. Will definitely be returning soon!!

I live on east harlem and love this restaurant on west 120st street. The wine selection is great and vegan food has improved over the years. I always have a quinoa salad with that is perfectly seasoned and today had a tomato bruschetta that was incredible with some rose Wine . Music and the service it is Always great. I highly recommend you come to this restaurant !

Nice spot for brunch or cocktails, but I would appreciate more non-pork options for the charcuterie. I’m not sure if the server was new the last time I went, but she messed up our order a few times. We don’t hold it against her, though, because she was very pleasant and friendly. I would’ve given the atmosphere a higher rating, but they were playing loud music for brunch, which didn’t match the setting nor Harlem on a Sunday morning.

Ive seen this several times walking by and finally decided to try it. Made a reservation via Open Table same night which was great. Arrived about 25 minutes early and we were sat right away. The hostess was very friendly as well as the waitstaff. Order two glasses of white wine and I didnt take the name down. For meals, we shared the French Onion soup. Now you must love cheese...because it had the most cheese, Ive ever seen on top of French Onion soup! I did like that there was enough cheese to have some in every bite..so no complaints here. Escargot was next up and tasty....the bread dipped nicely into the leftover butter sauce.The didnt have the pork tenderloin as stated on the menu, substituting with pork chops. I cant recall the last time Ive had a great pork chop, it was delicious! And the sauce could have been more it was soooo good. Lamb shank was the second entree and didnt disappoint with the polenta on the side. Gravy/sauce was to die for.No dessert on this round...but I will keep in mind an try other items on their menu.

I went here on a Monday night for happy hour. The location is a short walk from my job which is directly in front of the 2/3 trains, which is a plus. However, my friends came to meet me from uptown and it was also a short distance walk from the metro north and other subway lines which was convenient for them as well.The ambiance was lovely. It was dark, cozy, and quiet. The bar was large enough to fit guest comfortably without being too close to one another. Also, The happy hour deals were great! $7 glasses of wine and $10-15 dollar apps. The food was delicious. I was nervous going to a French themed restaurant, since I eat a vegan diet, but the menu had really tasty options and was accommodating to my diet. My non-vegan friends got the burger and escargot, with creme brûlée for dessert. Everything was super tasty, especially for the reasonable price. I cannot wait to go back!

I took my family here last night and we all enjoyed our food. I had the Vegan Thai Rice Noodle and it was perfect. All the veggies were tender and the noodles were savory. My family got the wings, calamari, and truffle fries. The service was fantastic and even though the restaurant was crowded we never felt neglected. A+ everything!

I live near here and it’s an anchor of the neighborhood. Happy hour is a great value and the staff is friendly. The food is pretty good too. It has a great vibe and the countertop section isn’t a bad place to make a new friend. Also a great place for date night. I highly recommend the truffle fries.

Their selection of wines & spirits is large, and the cuisine is always excellent. I highly recommend the Bara fries and their sangria. They are the best fries Ive ever had. The atmosphere is generally very friendly. Things dont really get into gear until dinner time, and they stay open until the wee hours of the morning.

I went to Barawine Harlem with Armin as a pre Valentines day treat before we went off to a restaurant for dinner.The front area contained a coat rack that didnt require coat check, just casually placing your coats on the hangers for subsequent retrieval.We love going to wine bars and this place was no exception. The staff was friendly and greeted us immediately upon entering. The lighting was bright and the seating was communal in the area closest to the wines.We ordered 4 different white wines, all of them different and accurately described on the menu. We also ordered a cheese plate as well as a meat plate to enjoy with our wine.The crowd seemed to consist of regulars and the owner (we though), was engaged in a lot of varying conversations with various patrons. Our waitress was really nice and attentive and our wines and plates came out relatively quickly.The only drawback for this place as a regular haunt for us would be the pricing of the meat and cheese plate which were approximately 16 and 17 dollars each. For the area we found it to be a little pricey and we have been to other wine bars with cheaper plates.All in all its a great addition to Harlem.

Barawine has a great atmosphere and a Happy Hour drinks menu, making it a go-to spot for people grabbing a drink after work. They also serve small plates, but I wasnt a huge fan of them. I recommend sitting at the bar (near the end of the bar, theres seating on both sides which is great for groups). Also, the Sangria here is fantastic -- highly recommend trying it!

We went for a late brunch and loved the relaxed, unhurried ambience. Our group tried two egg dishes and a sandwich; everyone cleared their plates. The portions were filling without being too much. The side salads were dressed with a delicious light dressing. Both desserts were fantastic - chocolate lava cake and creme brulee. There is an extensive wine list as well as brunch options for mimosas and Bellinis. It was a treat to be able to linger over the meal; the staff was attentive without rushing us out. Food was divine! Super friendly and attentive staff and great music. I had beets with peas, corn and tomotoes with a delish vinaigrette. I loved that the beets and the salad were chopped too, you get to savor all of the flavors together. Also had the corn and poblano soup, mouth watering. My friend had the octopus salad and tuna tartare, which she also enjoyed. My only complaint, it was a bit cold inside since they had the door open (a Covid requirement?), but after 2 glasses of red wine, I was content.

Its an interesting place. It would make a great space for cultured singles with a touch of humility but it tends to attract groups. Good looking people dressed nicely frequent the spot and there is a wealth of wine to choose from. If you warm up to the people across from you then its usually reciprocated. My first time at Barawine. I was not disappointed! Suggested this restaurant to my date and we both ended the date on a high note. The music was jumping, the servers was excellent with bringing us our selections and ambiance was perfect. Glad O went to Barawine on date night.
