I was so happy to be able to eat things I would never otherwise be able to in a restaurant! On top of being knowledgeable about Celiac, staff were able to tell me what I could eat based on my other dietary restrictions and allergies as well! The atmosphere was really relaxed in a very nice way - it is a beautiful and clearly very tightly run restaurant but everyone seemed comfortable.

Had a cozy dinner here with a party of five, one of which needed to eat gluten free. After some back and forth, I went with the non-GF saffron pappardelle and a roasted beet appetizer. The wide noodles had a pleasant bite to them and held up well with the various chopped vegetables in the dish. I just wouldve liked if they were a little brothier/saucier. I tried my friends GF squid ink lobster ravioli and was impressed at the quality of the pasta, a little thicker skin than regular homemade ravioli, but not enough to compromise the texture or taste. The dessert was a highlight, a lovely GF carrot cake that leaned more dense than crumbly and wasnt cloyingly sweet.

Celiac safe. Everything on the menu can be made gluten free. The GF lasagna was amazing. They serve GF bread and butter. Pizza/flat breads are good. GF carrot cake was really good. Great food, great service. A great place, especially if you need to eat gluten free.

My family and I ate there Saturday night. I have Celiac Disease and my daughter is gluten sensitive. We were like kids in a candy store. Everything is gluten free and fantastic. The dishes were not the run of the mill that are usually made for gluten free choices. The desserts were also unbelievable; not the usual flourless chocolate cake or creme brulee like some other so called gluten free restaurants. There were three of us and we ate like six; bringing a lot home. We over did it and the bill was still within reason, $273. The place is spotless and the staff was excellent and very friendly. I can not say enough good things about this place. To all the staff at Bistango...Bravo!

This is a cute Italian restaurant that is located on the ground floor of the Kimpton hotel. This spot is cute and quiet and great for a midtown lunch or dinner. This place has the best gluten-free pizza and pasta options. You could accommodate any dietary restrictions you have, and the food still tastes absolutely delicious.

This was an exceptional culinary experience. We started with the Hummus, then enjoyed best margarita flatbread ever. For our entrees we chose the sqiud ink lobster ravioli and red snapper. The most delicious red snapper we’ve ever enjoyed. Topped off with an incredible lavender cake for dessert.

Starting off by sending a shoutout to our awesome waiter who made everything right after our somewhat disappointing trip to Bistango.I had high expectations based on the reviews, but our experience here was quite the opposite. Lots of parties (very loud), crowded dining room (we sat hidden in the corner), and not many staff on hand. Our waiter must have had at least 6 tables to himself, and we didn’t get our food order in for 30 minutes!The food itself was okay, with plentiful options for those with food allergies. Again, even though our expectations were not met, our waiter did his best to make our dinner as great as possible. Would like to try coming back again just to see if this was a one-off thing.

Absolutely love this place!! Bistango is literally my girlfriend and I favorite restaurant out of the whole city. From the first time eating at the restaurant, the food will make your mouth water and like my mom use to say is “it must be good cause y’all quiet” Then the staff provided exceptional hospitality that made the experience ten times better and makes us want to come back for more, along with the food.Now for the food, which by the way anything on the menu can be made gluten free!!! Making it gluten free you couldn’t tell the difference from gluten filled food. Our go-to food choices are: Charcuterie Board w/ gluten free bread 🤤, Green Spinach Ravioli*, Pancetta Mushroom Papparadella, Tiramisu, and Pistachio Cannoli. When eating this you can taste the freshness, all the individual ingredients, and the love & care they put into each of the entrees.*Honorable mention entree: The Lasagna Bolognese👌🏽was an alternative to when the Green Spinach Ravioli, even though my girlfriend was devastated, but the lasagna did not disappoint our taste bud.To wrap it up lol we will be coming back to be in foodie heaven again!

While on vacation in New York my family and I decided to have some Italian food. Bistango happened to be directly across the street from our hotel so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. The service was prompt and friendly. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu. He told me to get the veal. He was spot on. It was amazing. My wife had the pappardell pasta and loved it. I my son had the dry aged my steak it was delish. And my daughter had lobster ravioli very good as well. Not only is this one of the most delicious places you could eat, they have some of the most incredible staff, from maître d’ to chefs to anyone in their employ.The level of care and attention was outstanding.The gluten free EVERYTHING really made this celiac feel part of the real world. The prix fixe menu was an exceptional value, and their portions were substantial.This is going to be my go to place for anything Italian in New York. I have been unable to eat at an Italian restaurant in decades, but the separate gluten free kitchen allows for more than any gluten free person can hope for.

Definitely some of the best quality for the value in the midtown for a high end brunch... The price is below average for midtown (entrees circa $20, cocktails for $11 which is a steal) and the food is serval notches up from the price. Had the Benedict and the breakfast risotto with jumbo prawns.

We stayed at The Kimberly Hotel because of Bistango. Our son has severe food allergies and I had heard of their knowledge and care to prepare a safe meal. They did not disappoint! We ate dinner there 3 times. Not only is the food both beautifully prepared and delicious, the staff and general manager are extremely kind, food allergy educated and helped us to immediately feel comfortable which is very rare. I had also brought my son’s food allergy dining card which they gave to the chef each time and I appreciated. We can’t thank Bistango enough for being a huge part of our incredible trip to NYC. To note: even my non allergic adult daughter and my husband were extremely happy to eat there 3 times. Bistango’s menu is that good! Highly recommend and hope to return.

I almost dont have the vocabulary to properly describe to you not only how happy I am to have found such an accommodating gluten free restaurant (when the waiter said Everything on the menu I almost syncopized) but how impressed I was with the food. Its DELICIOUS. Excitement started from the flatbread that was perfectly crisp to the luscious french toast and they even know how to make great drinks!? (Pictures attached). I really enjoy the ambiance of this place, inside and out! I have dined here pre pandemic and during pandemic. The food is delicious, the service is fast, friendly and efficient!What I love most about this during outdoor-only dining is that I can actually sit comfortably underneath their heat lamps without a coat on and enjoy my food. I am very happy that the staff fought to keep this place open when management were considering closing the restaurant after in-door dining was closed in NYC.My favorite is the fig and spec pizza and the truffle fries!

My only issue, if you can even call it that, is that the servers didnt go into detail about the precautions they take when serving someone who is celiac. Best brunch experience in this trip. The service is super friendly and they make sure you are very comfortable the entire time. The outdoor heaters work very well making it very comfortable even during a cold fall morning. The food was absolutely delicious. Three people doted on us, including management, whilst we dined under the heated lamps of the surprisingly quiet outdoor dining facility. Arancini was perfect, homemade marinara. Atlantic chard was amazing as was the butternut squash ravioli. Price was in line, but if you throw in how very nice the service was, it was a true bargain. We appreciated the very genuine kindness of the servers and manager, no fakeness here! They immediately brought our beagle a bowl of water, which is always a good sign. Felt very clean and safe, the outdoor dining area was spotless! Having visited New York every year since 2015, I would say this was the best meal we have had in and around the city. We only had one night this time, but I would like to thank you for your great food and grace. I was close to licking my plate, ode to Chef. Fantastic food, you are magnificent!!!

I know Brits have a bad reputation for tipping, but were seasoned travellers and know the score! He would have got a decent tip, but not by doing that!
