We love visiting here on a relaxed weekend morning or afternoon. The cortados are always well-made. The menu is light but satisfying. The baguettes and the tartines are simple and good. The wine list is small. The interior is charming. During warmer seasons, the sidewalk seating is a real treat, providing a lovely spot to enjoy your meal. It’s the perfect place to unwind and savor a peaceful moment in the LES.

I can’t recommend this wine bar enough! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a cozy, inviting atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem. The decor is absolutely stunning— soft, dim lighting, and an effortlessly chic vibe that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a Parisian café. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to smoke a cigarette (even if you don’t) and throw on a beret to complete the mood. The wine selection is outstanding—carefully curated with something to satisfy every palate. You can tell a lot of thought goes into what they serve, and every recommendation I’ve tried has been spot-on.The service was warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. It’s clear the team is passionate about creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. If you’re looking for a charming spot to enjoy amazing wine and soak in a little slice of Paris, this is the place to be!

Really enjoyed having a drink here with my husband. Spaced out seating, cute interiors, good music that wasn’t too loud. A lady served us and was such a sweetie too. She was quick and super helpful with recommendations - asset to the team!

Absolutely beautiful space, stylish and simple menu, abysmal service and I would venture it’s bc they’re understaffed front of house. So whoever was there was trying their best but were understandably glum. Tainted the whole experience a. The tomato tartine was excellent add the anchovies for sure but the tuna tartare was flavorless. Also got the stracciatella and the eggplant caponata both solid.

Few orange wines - the olives with Aleppo chilis and orange peels alone makes this a destination. Tucked away and low key, perfect place to chill solo or with a close friend.

Another ‘vibey small bites’ bar in downtown. Got a beer & girlfriend got a glass of a delicious light-bodied red wine. The food was good, we got the finocchiona, eggplant caponata, and the soup of the day (tomato). The eggplant caponata was the most delicious, with the soup at #2, and the finicchiona as last. The cocktail onions are a good touch, but makes the dish too oniony & vinegary. Can’t really taste the cured meat flavor.Nice place to go after work, or on a date. Wasn’t that busy around 6-7 on a Friday. Eggplant would be my recommendation, along with their good wine selections.

Edit: went back this month and everything was tremendously better. Service was awesome and actually so sweet and kind (shout out to the girl with big boots) it’s a lovely block to take your time and catch up with friends. The stracciatella is delish——The ambience is tops but service was a bit rocky. Server didn’t really know much of what’s going on even though the menu was literally so simple. The food was decent. The Lou Bren (sheep cheese w raw honey) should be a soft cheese so I felt that was off. They also forgot the baguette that comes with it so we had to remind them. The fennel salad is decent and bread is decent as well. Will definitely give them another chance as the vibe is cute very euro

Casetta is the best place to hang in NYC. The server Katja was the most amazing server and was constantly making sure we had everything we could possibly need.

  • Review 9 (2023-10-27 - Rating: 5)

Loved it! The menu is simple but the quality of the ingredients is SO good! The baguette and cheese were absolutely delicious and the grapefruit was AMAZING!! Also such a nice atmosphere. We also came back in the evening for a glass of wine which was also delicious

  • Review 10 (2024-07-14 - Rating: 5)

Quiet at 9:30pm on a Saturday, simplistic ambience with round Parisian cafe tables and wicker chairs, inelegant petite plating, limited menu, cheese & pate & fish in tins & wine, servers who rarely bother you… what’s not to love?

Woah, what a wonderful experience. Canceled a dinner reservation to stay. My partner and I were drawn to the guy running the night. I think his name was Mike - we will be coming back ; as long as he is here topping up our glasses.

Had a great time, especially appreciated the service from katja!

  • Review 15 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 5)

Only got a coffee here, but could tell even from that that this is a true European style cafe. The vibes are wonderful and so was the coffee & biscuit that came with it.

  • Review 16 (2024-09-20 - Rating: 5)

Lots of people complaining abt “service” probably bc they are deeply annoying people no one wants to serve…

  • Review 17 (2023-10-10 - Rating: 5)

Dimmed lights, beautiful interior, great vermouths what else do you want on a summer night? Une vibe ** french accent**.

  • Review 18 (2024-03-22 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 24 (2024-04-28 - Rating: 5)

We came upon Casetta as the last restaurant within a 5 block radius that wasnt packed on Saturday night. After being seated by a charming server, we were brought menus, wine and our small plates promptly and graciously. Jay Wolman was the popup chef and his food is spectacular; clean, fresh, bright and balanced. Please give this wonderful spot a chance! It seems like the rotten servers noted in these reviews are gone.

  • Review 25 (2023-06-28 - Rating: 5)

Great food, super friendly stuff, excited to have them in the neighborhood

  • Review 26 (2024-04-30 - Rating: 5)

After circling the neighborhood on a Saturday evening trying to find a place to eat without a long line in front, my friend and I happened upon this little boite! Please dont let the negative reviews sway you, apparently there was some staff turnover that caused issues. Those issues have been resolved. We had fast and friendly service. The space is cozy and Parisian. The wine list is wonderful. We happened to visit on a night with a pop up menu by Chef Jay Wolman. We ordered just about everything and it was all bright and springy and delicious. Highly reccomend!

  • Review 29 (2023-06-21 - Rating: 4)

Great new spot. Would be five stars if they opened at 8.30 instead of 9.00 and take my and other parents money on the way back from school dropoff from the several schools in a ten block radius.
