This place is awesome! They dont take reservations so we walked in on a Saturday at around 6pm and the place was about 1/4 full. My party of 2 was able to be seated right away. The place is dark and cozy without feeling too crowded. The large wine selection was on great display. I really liked the vibe! They have HH from 5-7 from Tuesday through Sunday I believe. The HH deals are pretty decent! They had a special wine that was $7/glass. I really liked it actually! We also got the wings from the HH menu in the soy garlic flavor and they were great. We got the corn cheese as well which was good but nothing spectacular. We also wanted to get a glass of wine and couldnt choose between 2 and they were very kind enough to let us taste both of them.We got the kimchi fried rice and the soft tofu soup. Both were really REALLY good. Im Korean and was impressed by the soup. The owner and wait staff were all so friendly and kind to us.I would definitely recommend this place and cant wait to go again! -

Review 9 (2022-06-25 - Rating: 5)
We wandered all over the area to find somewhere to eat that wasn’t about to close and were so lucky to stumble upon this place! Amazing vegetable dishes, Brazilian cheese bread made fresh, and dumplings with great tasting Portuguese wine and a Portuguese creamy dessert liquor that was so amazing. The chili sauce was also delicious and very friendly and helpful staff. Can’t say enough good things so glad we came in! Would love to come back to try other dishes and wines. -
Review 10 (2024-09-22 - Rating: 5)
Had a few of their wines and they were all great! Owner was so passionate and knowledgeable on the different types of wines. Will be returning again. -
Review 11 (2024-09-24 - Rating: 5)
My boyfriend introduced me to this wine bar and eatery. The owner, Rafael, aka Rafa, makes you feel very welcome. Which is great all on its own. However, the food offerings are wonderful top! You can select some Korean dishes, Brazilian dishes, or a mixture of both cusines! Pão de queijo is one of our faves! Oh, and did I forget to mention that the owner is quite wine expert. Just tell him what type of libation you have in mind. Even giving him minor details, he will surely select a wine that is satisfying to your taste buds. -
Review 12 (2021-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Fantastic meal with great drink and wine selection!Would recommend the Mamamango and Mamapeach as sparkly fruity drinks.Highly recommend the bulgogi! The Ssam was okay but the experience of putting together our own bites was a lot of fun. -
Review 13 (2024-08-10 - Rating: 5)
A cool neighborhood gem for delicious international tapas and a well curated and affordable wine list. The service was fantastic. My friends and I felt like we were at home. We had Korean and Brazilian tapas that were delicious and nicely presented. My Brazilian friend loved the Brazilian coxinhas!!! The tasty Portuguese white wine reminded us of Portugal. Gomi rocks!!! -
Review 14 (2024-08-22 - Rating: 5)
Always a pleasure to drink/eat at Gomi. The owner is very sweet and took the time to say happy birthday to my friend and make her night very special. Obrigadão! -
Review 15 (2024-09-12 - Rating: 4)
Small quaint bar that serves a selection of Brazilian/Korean inspired dishes. Decent selection of white and a small but good selection of beer. Happy Hour specials are really good. I recommend the gyoza dumplings if you want to try an appetizer. They also have cheese platters, Brazilian fried meatballs among other dishes. -
Review 16 (2021-07-15 - Rating: 5)
Went with a Korean friend (Im Brazilian) to this Korean and Brazilian bar, which seemed a fun idea. We were not disappointed. We ate Korean hot wings, picanha, cold cuts and coxinha, everything delicious and reasonably priced, and were offered some hot malagueta sauce. We had a slew of drinks: beer+soju, Portuguese alentejo wine to pair with the picanha, soju blue bottle and something else that I decide not to remember [wink]. The food and drinks are already worth of five stars, but Kaley and Rafael made it a very special evening with their friendliness. Can I give five stars plus? -
Review 17 (2017-09-10 - Rating: 4)
Very welcoming staff, serving enjoyable and inspired blend of Korean, BBQ, and even Japanese. Rafael and his wife are a warm presence in this pleasant restaurant, coming out to ensure guests are satisfied. -
Review 18 (2023-11-30 - Rating: 5)
I love this place 🫶 ! This place offers wines that are carefully selected by a Korean owner who grew up in Brazil. The owner is so helpful and kind - he gave us such amazing recommendations and is so down to chat up with you. Amazing selection of wines and small plates too. I would love to return! -
Review 19 (2023-10-21 - Rating: 5)
This place is a wonderful wine bar 🍷 and restaurant! 🍴 Gomi Korean Wine Bar has a fantastic selection of alcoholic beverages 🥃, cocktail 🍸, wine 🍷, and draft beer. 🍺 Their food is great too! Definitely get the Broccolini (sauteed broccoli 🥦) and Cheese 🧀 Bread 🍞 - its absolutely delicious! 🤤 Staff 👨🍳 is super friendly and welcoming, service is quick ⏲️, and ambience 🎶 is fantastic! I wish I knew about this place earlier! -
Review 20 (2024-08-21 - Rating: 5)
This place is a real gem! 💎 I love the cozy atmosphere, the super friendly staff, and their exceptional wine selection. The food is amazing too - I love how it captures the true essence of Korean and Brazilian cuisine without any fusion gimmicks. My go-to menus are pao de queijo, katsu, kimchi fried rice, pork belly ssam, and picanha fatiada🤤🤍 -
Review 21 (2024-01-15 - Rating: 4)
Came around opening on a Thursday and there was nobody at the restaurant, but it got much busier as the night progressed. The restaurant accommodates both small and large groups and seems to be a great date spot. They have happy hour with some drinks and small appetizers – we got the chicken wings (tastes OK) but felt like we could have skipped it. They have a large menu selection but we opted for the pork belly ssam (available Thu-Sun), kimichi fried rice and the picanha fatiada (steak). All of the food was decent, but nothing great enough for me to want to come back. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful though, so if you want a place with great service and vibes, this would be the spot. -
Review 22 (2023-12-11 - Rating: 4)
The service is friendly and accommodating, but the food is lacking. The dish portions for the price are quite small. Taste and quality of food is average at best, nothing we tried stood out as great. We left feeling hungry still even though what we paid would have satisfied our hunger at pretty much any other equivalent restaurant. -
Review 23 (2024-10-05 - Rating: 5)
Great wine, food is cozy (like what you would eat in a shop in korea) -
Review 24 (2024-05-05 - Rating: 5)

Review 25 (2024-10-03 - Rating: 5)
A neighborhood gem! Ive been coming here so often and for so long that I cant believe I havent left a review. If you are someone who is open to trying different types of wine, this is the place for you. Just tell Rafael your preferences and he will take care of you.Food-wise, I love their interesting menu where you can get Korean and/or Brazilian food. The wine is mostly from Portugal, but he has wines from other regions as well. -
Review 26 (2021-03-26 - Rating: 4)

Such a lovely spot. Everything made with great care, heart & soul, excellent preparation & top quality ingredients. I’ve loved everything I tried! Today was my first time for their chicken Katsu which was wonderful. Wines are excellent & carefully chosen as well. 🌷 -
Review 28 (2019-02-17 - Rating: 4)
Stopped by on a Saturday noon for brunch. Love the vibe and brunch price. The deco and owner made my Saturday awesome. We ordered spicy pork belly and bulgogi, they were a bit too salty and the veggies came with the dishes had a bit too much black pepper. But I will be back again! Guess why? The portion is really good for the asking price, and the veggies are finely chopped and mixed with different vegetables. What other restaurants would do at this price range are 2 piece of cauliflower, or just some onion. Appreciate the cast iron and utensils. All together just show how the owner put his love and efforts. So, yes, I will be back. But still hope the food could be less salty. I will pack the food home and mix with more rice or noodle if that happens again though. -

Beyond the amazing food and the carefully selected wines, the restaurant has an unique atmosphere and good music. The owner is very nice, knows a lot about wine and brings an interesting combination of brazilian and Korean food in the menu. I cannot recommend more a place, will definitely come back every time I am in New York. -

Review 36 (2018-10-13 - Rating: 5)
So happy to find this absolute gem in the neighborhood. We ordered about half the menu and all of it was top notch — especially the steak, fishcake and broccolini with mushrooms. Sit at the bar and chat with the staff; super friendly and knowledgeable. Will come back again and again. -
Review 37 (2020-01-05 - Rating: 5)
This possibly my favorite place in the East Village. I have had multiple dishes on the eclectic fusion menu and from the extensive wine list and I am always impressed. Do yourself a favor and order the pāo de queijo right when you sit down. The owner and staff are delightful and I will continue to frequent this place as long as I live here. -
Review 38 (2019-12-04 - Rating: 5)
A wonderful restaurant, from the Korean pancake to start, incredible broccoli, soup, then protein offerings of short ribs, beef, tofu, the list goes on. There were seven of us, and I think we tried a dozen dishes, all flavored perfectly, a rare find. This gem is a bit out of the way, and well worth it. -

This is a little gem to discover near you, not only a great wine French organic list but skillfully - prepared Korean/Brazilian food.I love GOMI for casual, chic drinking, or just to hang out after work. Rafael the owner and the intellectual mind behind this idea, is a really smart and a wine connoisseur, he always chooses something for me which is handy because the wine selection is so well thought out that I never know what to order.I highly recommend cold red wine perfect for summer season! you can pair it with a plate of local hand- made cheese, ask for Crema de Blue. You must try the skirt steak wrap, one of my favorites. This is a perfect venue for your small private gatherings, there is big table that can sit 12 people, I love this idea because you can socialize and share wine & food, and have conversations, but also there are couples tables for your most intimate dialogue. I cant wait for my upcoming brunch family & friends get together. -

Good food, good vibes, good price and good host. What else to say you can have a big group (like Gomi’s popular monthly oyster event) or bring a date or a few friends and get 5 stars service. Their philosophy is to get repeat customer, not social media likes. And they do get rave reviews 👍 -

Review 101 (2021-05-03 - Rating: 5)
I came here for the first time with my dad. The food was amazing and the staff as well. Its a locally owned small business, the owner was actually working inside while we were there and he came out many times to talk with us. The waitress so very nice and was very knowledgeable about wines. My dad is a bit of a wine enthusiast and went crazy here! They have many wines that are not on the menu so if you truly like wine ask for a recommendation. The meat was cooked especially well! We will be coming back here! -

Weve been here several times and consistently have had good meals. The chicken wings, bibibamp, and katsu I recommend. Be Warned though!!! The very spicy sauce for the wings is halal cart levels of spice! Even gf with crazy spice tolerance was like Whew thats a hot one. I almost yelped! But its also extremely good sauce so Pain for Pleasure etc -

My roommate and I, we are Brazillian and Korean, so it was a no brainer to choose Gomi for our first night out to celebrate moving into our new house. It was a brilliant choice. The food was great (I had yukgaejang), the service was excellent, and we just had a such a lovely time there. The only problem is that we live 2 blocks away from the restaurant and we will be visiting way too often now—thats dangerous.감사합니다! 또 봬요 :) -
