Small and cozy bar with a clearly labeled happy hour that inspired us to stop in. Grabbed a window seat for ample people watching and waited upon by a lovely server with European flair.$10 martinis, we tried the dirty and the vesper which was a good balance of savory and sweet. Enjoyed the cheese of the day too.. but ate it so fast we forgot to photograph it!Would like to come back for a full dinner in the future, had already made plans elsewhere for this evening.

L’Accolade is a must-visit for French cuisine lovers! The $1.50 oysters were fresh and perfect, the smoked tartar was standout dish, and the rabbit was cooked to perfection tender and flavorful. Their huge selection of natural wines, paired with reasonable prices, makes this spot a true gem. Amazing food, great value—highly recommended!

Hosted my birthday here and had an absolutely amazing time. The outdoor space is so charming but the inside as well is very stylish. The team was so helpful and friendly. The food, cocktails, and wine were delicious. I couldnt have had a better experience and all my guests were raving about LAccolade.

  • Review 4 (2024-08-28 - Rating: 5)

Their happy hour is 5-7pm. We enjoyed every single menu there. One thing that i disappointed is the size of the oysters . But other than that the service and foods are great! I highly recommended it !

  • Review 5 (2024-06-30 - Rating: 5)

Gorgeous outdoor garden with string lights, a quiet gem in a crowded part of town. Not mobbed like some popular West Village woods. We had a delicious dinner here after comedy Cellar on Friday with two courses each and wine. I enjoyed the burrata pesto risotto and eggplant a lot! They have inexpensive oysters, $1.50 each. We had great servers who speak French, giving it an authentic feel.

One of our favorite spots in the neighborhood! We stopped in for drinks on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Our server was sweet and very informative. They had a happy hour going for $10 drinks and we ordered wine and martini, both great! Great ambience and reasonably priced.

L’Accolade is an absolute gem! The food is exceptional, crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The cocktail menu is equally impressive, with innovative and perfectly balanced drinks that pair beautifully with the dishes. Their natural wine selection is a highlight, featuring unique, high-quality options that cater to all tastes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, amplified by the incredible vibe of the staff—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their work. The music adds an extra layer of enjoyment, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.Whether you’re a food enthusiast, a natural wine lover, or someone who appreciates good vibes, L’Accolade is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

  • Review 8 (2023-10-26 - Rating: 4)

Food was delicious as well as ambiance. Scallops were out of this world. You can order a la carte or do their 3 course menu. Portions are on the smaller side, be aware. They have very interesting wine list.Service was not so good, considering our waitress was the only one that night serving whole patio plus couple of tables inside(plus support staff). Hope this is not the case usually because its a shame that lack of service ruin the whole experience.

  • Review 9 (2023-06-01 - Rating: 5)

A delightful little wine bar specializing in natural wines and comtemporary cuisine. The hostess is fun and friendly welcoming everyone at the table. Dishes came out great and accompanied by fine section of wine. A good option whether for a few drinks or a full meal.

  • Review 10 (2024-07-28 - Rating: 5)

We came as group of people! The service was great and warming! Happy hour drinks are great. The oyster is $1.5 for happy hour, good deal but you can’t choose the origin compared to some restaurants. The finger food is great especially the cheese plate but except the fried calamari, which was too much coating and tasted like frozen seafood.

  • Review 11 (2023-12-22 - Rating: 5)

Everything from our point of view was a 10/10.Food:We both opted for the 3 course selection. Everything was delicious, for the appetizers we tried the beef tartare, cavatelli, mushroom risotto, and scallops. The risotto was more aromatic than flavorful so beware of that, but each dish was delicious. We also had the $1 oysters which were solid as well. For our mains we had the duck and the beef strip loin. Both dishes were great, the beef with the bone marrow was unbelievable.Drinks:Extensive wine and drink selection, our server had great recommendations and we loved the wine she recommended.Ambiance:We went on a Wednesday night, it was a great vibe/crowd and overall not too crowded or loud.We will definitely go back, the whole experience was great and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, and try it all. It’s definitely worth it.

L’acclade is a delightful French bistro serving seriously good French creations. The menus is not large, but there is an excellent selection of diverse dishes. Service is friendly and helpful. The space oozes with charm and the dinner experience is wonderful.

  • Review 13 (2023-05-28 - Rating: 5)

Really liked the food! We came for brunch and had the beef tongue and the vegan culurgiones. Both very good! Portions arent huge, but they are quite filling. The Violette eclair was the star of the show! Theres a nice patio in the back, in addition to the outdoor tables outside.

  • Review 14 (2024-08-11 - Rating: 5)

We are stunned! Excellent restaurant- from vibes, to unique dishes delivered with detail, to warm, attentive and thoughtful hospitality. Everything was perfect. We love exploring restaurants in NY and globally, this one stood out among the rest. l’accolade deserves accolades!

  • Review 15 (2021-09-29 - Rating: 4)

Excellent service. Good ambiance. Now, for the food and wine..it was okay but you must choose well. The hamachi did not taste very fresh. It was..kinda mushy? the citrus flavors of the sauce covered it up well, but you could tell something is off- perhaps it wasn’t thawed properly? Scallop was surprisingly fresh and not fishy at all - enjoyed it. Beef tartar was enjoyable - nothing to hype over about. Duck was a tad stiff but we really enjoyed the beef strip loin! Tender and flavorful. Now, for the wine. If you’re used to regular wines…you maybe underwhelmed by the “natural” flavors.

  • Review 16 (2022-05-17 - Rating: 5)

Really solid meal and we were able to get a reservation night of. Huge wine selection and knowledgeable waitstaff. Tasting menu is a great deal- the lamb agnolotti is stellar.

  • Review 17 (2024-09-16 - Rating: 5)

We stumbled across this treasure. It was fantastic. The food, my son and I ate 30 oysters between us and the most mouth watering cheeses and wine. Highly recommend.

  • Review 18 (2021-07-15 - Rating: 5)

They have the best beef tartar in the world!!! All dishes I ordered are amazing. I really love it. I would say it is my favorite restaurant post-Covid! Btw, people work/come there are chic. Love their outfits. It feels Europe💜

  • Review 19 (2023-09-22 - Rating: 4)

L’Accolade could be added to my list of favorite wine bars! They host quite a respectable Happy Hour situation with $13 wines, $14 cocktails and snacks! The staff were welcoming, hospitable and knowledgeable about the wine and if you are lucky, the French.I’m not a huge fan of French food, but I’d consider trying the fare on a future visit.

  • Review 20 (2024-09-21 - Rating: 5)

This place has an insanely well priced wine list, outstanding food and an extremely warm & hospitable staff. 10/10 experience

  • Review 21 (2022-05-01 - Rating: 5)

You can visit this restaurant just to grab some drinks abd to take a wonderful dinner. The owner is French and has a deep knowledge of wines. The wine recommended was quite delicious. The dishes are also good. It’s worth visiting.

  • Review 22 (2024-06-21 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful service and flavors! This restaurant exceeded our expectations. Each dish was a work of art, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The staff made us feel welcome and ensured we had a memorable evening. Definitely coming back!

  • Review 23 (2021-04-29 - Rating: 5)

I was able to slip into L’Accolade the other day to check out some of their new menu items and boy was I blown Away. They have added Chicharrones, Ají Amarillo and Piment d’ Espelette which was absolutely delicious. For those not in the know, these are pork rinds with a yellow pepper paste and a dusting of red Espelette pepper powder. It was excellent and paired perfectly with a La Chouffe from Belgium and is a an unfiltered blond beer, re-fermented in the bottle, as well as in the barrel. It is pleasantly fruity, spiced with coriander and has a mild taste of hops. A La Chouffe embodies the sun in a glass with its splendidly intense golden-yellow color. I followed this with a bowl of the amazing fish soup that was absolutely delicious! A few different tastes of natural wines followed on a cold rainy night. This place is another hidden gem in the West Village. L’Accolade is perfection every time I go. Thank you Jacques, Benji, Claremont and Johnny, it’s always a pleasure to see you all!

  • Review 24 (2024-12-08 - Rating: 5)

Good little restaurant. Staffs were attentive and very helpful. Both atmosphere and food were great. Pekin duck was excellent. Excited to see what menus they offer on my next visit.

  • Review 25 (2023-06-10 - Rating: 5)

Best meal I’ve had in a while. The food was spectacular with beautifully plated dishes. The scallops were my favorite. Vibe was great. Will def be coming back

  • Review 26 (2022-03-22 - Rating: 4)

Very cute and romantic spot, food flavor is great, but a little salty to my taste, great for dates or friends hangout, they do have a bar area as well.

  • Review 27 (2024-06-19 - Rating: 5)

Swung by for a glass of wine on a Friday night and their selection and suggestions were too tier!! We ended up sticking around til closing because the vibe was chill and the wine options were interesting and great. We also were with a liquor-only pal and there were plenty of options for him too!

  • Review 28 (2024-06-22 - Rating: 5)

My family and I had a lovely brunch at L’Accolade! In addition to the delicious, light yet filling dishes, the bread service (olive loaf, croissants, and truffle butter) really stood out. The bathrooms were also very nice :)

  • Review 29 (2022-03-29 - Rating: 5)

Came here for happy hour - they make some of the best cocktails my husband and I have ever had. The Martini Noisette (photographed) on paper sounded strange but was absolutely delicious! Great selection of wines, too, if youd rather skip the spirits.

  • Review 30 (2022-05-17 - Rating: 5)

I loved it so bad!The duck was my favorite! If you are going with friends I recommend you to share, so you can try everything! The service was really nice and fast.Totally recommend you to visit this place!

  • Review 31 (2024-12-27 - Rating: 5)

This is my favorite restaurant in NYC ever!! I come there very often and always bring my people when they are in NYC for a visit. I really recommend it, especially the appetizers. Ive never been disappointed by any of the meals so far. The food is just original and refined, a good value for money restaurant. They also have a nice wine list and a cozy terrace in the back of the restaurant.

  • Review 32 (2024-10-23 - Rating: 5)

Best French restaurant in NYC. My French friends agree. The others are overrated. The wine is great which is unheard of in NYC.

  • Review 33 (2024-07-17 - Rating: 5)

Awesome neighborhood spot! I’ve eaten both inside and in the backyard and had a great experience both times. The food and wine are delicious.

  • Review 34 (2024-08-04 - Rating: 5)

Cozy, fun environment. Fantastic food. Wonderful staff. I highly recommend the baked eggplant appetizer.

  • Review 35 (2024-10-06 - Rating: 5)

$2 oysters paired with a Sauvignon blanc followed by an avocado toast with a perfectly poached egg. Staff is all around super- friendly and happy. The garden is a quiet respite from the busy streets.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at L’Accolade and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere thats perfect for a romantic date or special occasion. The server was very attentive and helped us choose the perfect wine to pair with our meal. The food was truly outstanding - every dish was a celebration of taste. The chefs skill and expertise was evident in every bite. From the appetizers to the main course, each dish was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor.Overall, L’Accolade is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves great food and drinks. The combination of amazing wine and cocktails, outstanding cuisine, and a wonderful atmosphere made for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and cant wait to visit again soon.

  • Review 37 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

This place is pretty legit. The whole French theme is debatable, but the service, cocktails, food and menu selections were nothing short of spectacular. The kicker is their happy hour specials. The specials would make this place an every day stop if I was here more often. A good find.

  • Review 38 (2021-10-22 - Rating: 5)

Really love their 2 course/3 course meal options. Great ambiance and service as well.

  • Review 39 (2020-09-25 - Rating: 5)

Great addition to the neighborhood. Food and service were both exceptional. Deserving of a Michelin star.

  • Review 40 (2023-05-12 - Rating: 5)

The food is excellent, every bite was an experience full of flavors and textures. Definitely our new favorite restaurant in New York. Incredible wine list and good recommendations to pair with food.Loved the beautiful garden, super nice atmosphere!

  • Review 41 (2023-11-24 - Rating: 5)

Food 8/10A hidden gem in the WV, it was empty when I came in for lunch, but slowly filled up later in the afternoon. The complimentary bread was quite fire, there were two varieties and a delicious butter. We ordered the avo toast and salmon croissant, and the ending bill was not outrageous at all, considering the location.Atmosphere 9/10Very elegant European vibes, I felt like as if I was transported to another country. Love the empty wine bottles lining the walls, and the art selection. Love the details.Service 9/10Super friendly service.

  • Review 42 (2023-06-21 - Rating: 5)

We randomly happened upon this place on a Tuesday night after cancelled plans at another restaurant. Long story short, we’ve returned many times and this is confidently now our favorite restaurant in NY.Some places you try and love - the food, staff, and setting is great - but it doesn’t necessarily draw you back. L’Accolade does. Not only do they nail everything, they do so in a way that feels welcoming, familiar, and easy. The whole experience here feels less like other high end french restaurants in NY, and more like a great low key fine dining restaurant in France. They don’t feel like they’re trying hard, even though it’s genuinely some of the best tasting (and presented) French cooking in NYC. There’s some dishes I would put up against Le Bernardin. The prices are completely appropriate, even during these inflationary times. The wine selection is always on point. The staff has never been anything but good. A true 5 stars so far every time we’ve been.

  • Review 43 (2023-10-27 - Rating: 5)

We spent an excellent evening at Laccolade. Cuisine, service (advice on the wine to drink with our courses), ambiance were really good. Only one thing that we should have done : keep a bit of place to take a dessert ^^

  • Review 44 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 5)

I highly recommend this French restaurant to any of you. One of the best duck I ever had from any French restaurant I ever been. Watermelon soup with crab meat is so refreshing. Beef tongue with chestnut is amazing. The mango pistachios tart tastes just right. Lobster spaghetti is tasty. Scallop sauce is a little too sweet for me. I like lamb chop be more spicy and salty side. The lamb is too plain for me. Oyster is fresh and tender. Steak is well present. Overall it worth a trip to go down and try it out.

  • Review 45 (2023-08-03 - Rating: 5)

I had a great dinner at this restaurant. It all started with a friendly and very attentive staff, and continued with a great selection of natural wines, interesting cocktails and an excellent menu. All dishes were beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and tasted great. Even though its a French restaurant, they have pasta on the menu, and it was perfectly cooked. This restaurant is definitely worth coming back to again and again.

  • Review 46 (2024-03-12 - Rating: 5)

The best French diner I’ve ever had

  • Review 47 (2023-05-18 - Rating: 5)

Amazing place ! Nothing much to say, the meals are very distinguished, especially the duck (to die for), the staff are super firendly and take good care of you. The only bad point is there are too many good wines on their menu to be able to try them all in a lifetime. Very good cocktails also. Dont hesitate if you are around i know i will come back ! Thanks for everything !

  • Review 48 (2024-06-11 - Rating: 4)

Fyi, the beef tartar is not available for brunch.

  • Review 49 (2023-06-19 - Rating: 5)

Outstanding French food! Service was +A. Server had excellent drink recommendations. We decided to go a la crate because we were not as interested in as many of the main dishes and I don’t regret it. Although, my favorite dish was the duck. Pastas and fig salads are divine as well. I ordered one of the wine desserts and it was *chef kiss*. Overall, this meal greatly exceeded my expectations and will definitely be coming back.

  • Review 50 (2023-11-26 - Rating: 5)

Small menu but absolutely delicious for brunch!!! The best chicken in NYC! Great service too. Will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try dinner here.

  • Review 53 (2023-05-27 - Rating: 5)

We‘ve had the garlic chicken, the culurgiones and some dessert. menue is quite small but everything was really good! staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. would highly reccomend!

  • Review 54 (2019-09-22 - Rating: 4)

Came here based on the strength of Google reviews so thought I should make a contribution. Overall we found the food quite good, though I wouldn’t describe it as excellent. Some dishes were rough around the edges. Roasted radishes were under seasoned and butter a bit greasy. BBQ carrots were too soft; any cooked carrot should be tender crisp imho. Flat iron with crispy rice, and grains with grilled lettuces were both well executed and delicious. Atmosphere amazing. Service a bit choppy. Several staff spent the better part of the evening polishing wine glasses when there were lots of empty plates to be picked up and glasses to be refilled.

  • Review 55 (2024-08-06 - Rating: 5)

Really great spot for happy hour. We were able to grab the two seats by the window overlooking a cute little street market. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The structure of the restaurant is cute, especially the bar area. The happy hour menu is actually pretty big for happy hour and the prices are great. Except for the starred wines (make sure to look for this), they are all $13/glass and were delicious. We also got the cheese of the day, which was a delicious Camembert. We would love to come back to try more of the menu!

  • Review 56 (2021-10-10 - Rating: 5)

Food is good! The style is just like a modern bistro in Paris. Wine selection is great too if you like natural wine. And the hospitality for us was really great! The host let us try 3 wines before committing to a bottle.

  • Review 57 (2022-03-05 - Rating: 5)

The best part is that all staff members on the floor are so so cool. Amazing personalities creating great service. Food was delicious. Very nicely plated and served on a right timing. Kind of more of a romantic dinner place. Good vibe. Definitely worth trying.

  • Review 58 (2022-10-16 - Rating: 5)

Had the pleasure of celebrating my anniversary here and had such an amazing experience. The food was great and the wine list is well curated. I can’t express how nice Jacque the owner is. Will definitely be coming back!

  • Review 59 (2024-12-03 - Rating: 5)

Must go and while not screaming off the plate authentic French, its new world vibe and French gourmet style has many yummy options. Maybe best wine list I have seen in that neighborhood and servers are so warm and helpful and attentive. Oysters a big plus. Rabbit a bit ‘pre-cooked’ and tough but beef, pastas, duck, and crudo A+

  • Review 60 (2020-08-09 - Rating: 5)

Great new restaurant to the area. Cocktails were awesome, food was fresh and tasty. Servers were really amazing - friendly and wonderful all round.... and the tables are appropriately spaced apart (notice more than a few places in our area that have been starting to push the 6ft spacing rule so appreciate the places that are keeping it up).

  • Review 61 (2022-08-14 - Rating: 5)

Delicious French food in the West Village. Ideal for small groups or datesLovely ambiance indoors, though I dined outdoor. Good shelter in place that held up on a very rainy Saturday.Service was good. Food was great. The prix fixe is an excellent value and satiated our whole table. Will be back soon! Such a treat!!

  • Review 62 (2021-10-26 - Rating: 5)

Phenomenal restaurant in the West Village, and totally underrated! Youve obviously got your big hitters such as Via Carota, Buvette and newbies such as Saint Theos. But LAccolade should totally be in that list! It has a very curated menu, easy to navigate with a great mix of French veggies and meats, and a wonderful wine list! Was there for a large party of 7 and it was perfection! As others have mentioned the wine list is exhaustive, impressive, and great price range. Natalie and Benjamin are a great team, along with everyone else. Once you enter, you can feel the energy they have created inside and out! They have three options for seating - two outside and their indoor dining. The back garden is great, with heaters, and feels intimate without being crowded.Re: food - the mushroom toast and the scallop crudo is fantastic! and the chicken is cooked to perfection.Go and enjoy another great West Village French affair, and have all the bubbles!

  • Review 63 (2023-03-02 - Rating: 5)

Incredible experience. This is where you take your first date and/or your anniversary dinner. All natural wines and a full liquor bar.You come for the food, linger for the wine, but come back for the amazing staff.(Also find 24 of the miniature figurines that are stashed around the restaurant and you may be entitled to a surprise)

  • Review 64 (2024-12-08 - Rating: 4)

We always try to mix in some new places so we do not get into too much of a rut with our favourites. Out of all the new places we tried this summer, our dinner was by far the best in terms of food and experience. The service and setting was great, and the dishes were all well crafted and balanced. There was a nice wine list with lots of options by the glass and by the bottle as well as cocktails and cordials. The staff put in an effort to make us feel welcome without feeling like they were always on top of you. We will definitely be back.December 2024 UpdateUnfortunately, we had to update this review from 5 stars across the board to 3 stars for service and 4 overall, because the last couple of times we have gone the service really has not been anywhere near up to the standard of our first couple of experience. The last time we felt boarder-line unwelcome. I am not sure when or if we will go back.

  • Review 65 (2022-07-01 - Rating: 5)

The best French cuisine I’ve ever had in my life!! The duck skin is very very crispy and the meat is very tender. The fluke is very good too! Honestl, I would recommend very dish I ordered.

  • Review 66 (2024-02-02 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful meal with great service. Interesting wine selection, the waiter offered us a taste before committing.

  • Review 67 (2023-04-28 - Rating: 5)

Had a really excellent dinner here. Some of the critiques in NY publications kind of undersold how solid this meal would be. Had a beautiful bottle of orange wine and this is the best duck Ive had in NY and maybe ever. Truly a perfect dish in my opinion. Also had the fig salad - beautiful - and the desserts were fantastic. Service was friendly, professional, attentive. I think this restaurant might be overlooked. Dont! Have a great date!

Great service & delicious food. get the medovik cake!!!

  • Review 71 (2019-09-14 - Rating: 5)

The manager was so personable and helpful to a first time Fench cuisine experiencer such as myself. Highly recommend either the duck or char (fish) for a main course and thw gnocchi was a great appetizer. Of course cannot say enough for the wines which were sulfite free. The seasonal wine they served was perfect way to enjoy the exquisite meal. Alongside the quaint but inviting atmosphere they treated myself and visiting cousin from CA so well. I plan to return again!

  • Review 72 (2023-11-22 - Rating: 5)

Superb service, and the food is truly elevated. Highly recommend. Im traveling in NYC for Thanksgiving and this is going straight to my want to come back list.

  • Review 73 (2023-09-24 - Rating: 5)

Had my birthday dinner here and the wine menu and all 3 courses were very good albeit a little on the smaller side (expected for French cuisine). The steak tartare and the veal cheek cavatelli were standouts. The tuna crudo is good but looks more like a tartare. The natural wine menu is really broad and diverse; one of the best menus for natural wine that I’ve seen in New York City. Considering the very reasonable prices, this is a no brainer.

  • Review 74 (2022-03-19 - Rating: 5)

Charming cozy classy spot with elegant and refined food. Happy hour wine was so good too, “natural” they called it.

  • Review 75 (2024-05-09 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 76 (2019-09-06 - Rating: 5)

The food is incredible, everything I tried was delicious (my favorite are the gnocchis, the best gnocchis ever!) The wine selection is amazing, not comparable to any place in the city, and waiters will always have your back if you dont know which one to choose!I would definitely recommend this place

  • Review 77 (2022-12-30 - Rating: 5)

Cute little wine joint that the staffs and owners know their wines and very passionate about it. A nice setting in the west village and highly recommended for anyone who wants to drink good wine in a chilled environment

  • Review 79 (2022-09-05 - Rating: 5)

A great French spot with friendly staff. Went for the 3 course menu of of English Split Pease Soup with Smoked Trout. It was a great summer soup, not too rich, with chunks of tasty trout. The Seared Scallops with bacon were tender and seared to perfection. The last course was duck. A little rare for my taste but delicious never the less.

Very good wine selection, duck and tartare was very nice, ceviche was a bit too acidic and needed more heat. Bartender was awesome. Nice, classy, chill place to hang out.

Absolutely fantastic hidden gem! I almost hesitated to write such a positive review out of fear this place would get too popular.Creative flavors and fantastic cocktails. Been many times and always had a positive experience.

We decided to stop by for the happy hour and enjoyed it enough to stay for dinner. The staff were welcoming and gave us some good recommendations - highlights include the Arctic char, gnocchi and duck. Paired with a well rounded selection of wines and desert made this a delicious meal! A great addition to the neighborhood and well be back!

And they do it very well !Gnocci are delicious, braised endives are tasty, chicken is tender all the way (with the really good aligot) and the duck was perfectly cooked with a crusty skin... I had a pleasure of visiting this place with my family. We had a table in a charming garden setting, the atmosphere was tranquil and inviting, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated in their picturesque garden. One of the highlights of the evening was the natural wine selection. Each wine recommendation from our knowledgeable server was spot on, complementing the flavors of our meals beautifully. As for the food, it was a parade of perfection. From starters to desserts, each dish was thoughtfully crafted, boasting fresh, high-quality ingredients. We tried almost every dish in the menu, there were 4 of us and we had 5 starters to share and each one had a main course. The presentation was immaculate, and the flavors were balanced and bold. Its rare to find a place that pays such close attention to every detail.I highly recommend L’accolade to everyone who is looking for the combination of a beautiful setting, superb wine, and culinary excellence. We left with full bellies and happy hearts, already planning our next visit.

My family and I went to celebrate birthday. Its our first time here and it was such a great place with amazing dishes. Nearly everything was on the point, but were just kinda disappointed with the famous duck breast which seemed overcooked. I dont know if it was not the best timing or it did go down in general. Besides that, I would say it was an impeccable experience.

I start this review at the end: We will be returning to Laccolade for dinner again. I made our reservations on the same night as catching a show after dinner and so, we did not get a bottle from the wine list. The next time we go back, my husband and I have agreed to schedule dinner on its own so that we may spend a bit more time and have a bottle from the wine list. The wine list is intriguing and electric, with many selections that my husband did not recognize, but is excited to try.I reserved at Laccolade because it was close to the venue where our show was scheduled that night and the restaurant that I first booked had removed duck (my favourite) from their menu. I wasnt sure what to expect exactly, from the online menu I was expecting something quite French, but I thought it would a bit more traditional? We were blown away and so happy I found Laccolade!Entering the restaurant we were greeted in a very professional and knowledgeable staff member, who had a great smile :)The place was hopping - lively music, lots of people having lively conversation and the interior felt like a very like we were about to dine in someones beloved wine cave.We were seated at one of the best tables in the restaurant, Im not sure how we got so lucky, this table was perfect for us.The gentleman was taking care of us primarily let us know we arrived at Happy Hour and that the drink specials were still on, so we began with a cocktail. I rarely have gin so opted for the Lavande, which features one of my fav flavour combinations, lavender and lemon and it was the perfect start to my meal. My husband requested a vodka martini on ice with three olives and our gentleman asked he if wanted it dirty - always the sign that someone knows their martinis! My husband answered A little and our gentleman knew exactly what was what :DWe greatly enjoyed our cocktails while we made our decisions about our meals. My husband looked over the wine list and was surprised to see many selections he was unfamiliar with, it was decided that if the food was good, we would be back to try a bottle from the wine list.At the perfect moment, the gentleman taking care of us returned to take our food orders and wine for our mains. We were very happy to be informed how each of our mains would be served - both medium rare, which is our preferred cook. I am not sure how others feel about this, but for my husband and I, we were reminded of our recent trip to Paris and take as a sign that the chef is well-trained in the French style. This was a touch that really made us smile, thank you.I had the Hamachi Tartare, it was beautifully presented, balanced, tasted of freshness and just a touch of acidity. I was worried it wouldnt taste right with my cocktail, but it was quite complimentary. My husband opted for the Seared Scallops which looked dramatic and perfect on his plate. He greatly enjoyed them and, of course, loved his martini. The staff is attentive without being overbearing, it reminded us greatly of French service with a friendly American twist. One of the things that stood out to us about the staff is that they genuinely seem to like working here and to also like each other, its a really great environment to spend time in.Our table was clear and our mains presented in perfect timing and our dinner wine were brought over at exactly the right moment. My husband had the Beef Strip Loin, which included a serving of bone marrow. His plate was dramatic and he loved it. My husband that although he doesnt usually enjoy bone marrow, it was delicious and he finished it all off. We really appreciate the staff member who was attentive enough to realize that my husband needed a spoon without us asking, thank you, thank was very kind.I had the duck. It was the reason that we booked here and it was wonderful - perfectly cooked, the sides were tasty and balanced. It was the kind of duck that I will think about for a long time.We are so happy that we had dinner here and have been talking about it since we visited.

I had an absolutely sensational dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I felt like a VIP guest. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The menu was masterfully crafted, offering just the right amount of options to choose from. Every dish was simply out of this world, taking my taste buds on a journey of extraordinary flavors and textures. The spinach tourtelini was a standout dish, bursting with amazing flavors. And the steak was cooked to perfection, served with a complimentary sauce and presented on a magnificent serving plate. But the real showstopper was the dry aged duck - the combination of juicy meat and crispy crust was nothing short of perfection. The service was impeccable, with the staff exhibiting an impressive level of knowledge about the origins of the wine and food pairings. I couldnt have asked for a better dining experience. This restaurant has firmly secured its place at the top of my list, and I wholeheartedly give it a five-star rating for its exceptional food and wine selection, as well as its top-notch service. I cant wait to come back and experience it all over again!

Great restaurant, amazing experience. Chef has put up a great menu. Highly recommend trying Spinach Tortellini, Scallop Ceviche, and Beef Strip loin. I dont drink alcohol, so I had lemonades, which were delicious.Had a bit of a wait to be seated, because I havent made a reservation on a Friday night, but it was totally worth it.Looking forward coming back to try the rest of the menu.UPDCame back here few months later. L’accolade is a hidden gem in the village. Their food is Michelin level and so so delicious. I have been 4 times and it’s always consistently good. The steak encrusted in bone marrow is the best steak I have had! They have a great natural wine menu. I take all my friends and family here!

Fantastique from the food to the wine menu passing by the ambiance. And what to say of the crew: delightful! French, like French do:) Been there a fee time on different occasions and never fails to impress! My wish is to come around more this year, and you should add this gem to your lat too✨

  • Review 137 (2023-06-04 - Rating: 4)

This was our 4th visit - the food and staff are great. We did the 3 course prix fixe and had a wonderful sampling of dishes that were beautiful and the service was friendly and well paced. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the coffee service doesnt stand up to the rest of the offerings. Its limited to espresso or americano, no decaf (which I realize is an American thing), but the coffee was served in glasses not an espresso or coffee cup. It was odd and wasnt that good. That was the only detractor, and not a huge deal, but not a great way to end what was otherwise a beautiful meal.

  • Review 138 (2023-10-24 - Rating: 4)

We came here for the 1 dollar oyster happy hour which is a very good price by current industry standards. That said the oysters should have been more briney. So basically they are over rinsed… especially as these are east coast (New Brunswick). It really is an easy fix and the shucker should be advised accordingly. In the spirit of adventure we then decided to try an appetiser and had the steak tartare. It was quite good but in the same spirit easy to improve. The problem is the prawn crackers don’t really go well with the tartare. The tartare itself was fine. Delicate but no need to overlay a prawn cracker. Some simple bread would work better. The wine was on paper interesting. A lot of natural or bio types and we tried 4 different ones. I felt none were particularly good and not for the price. They should add some more standard basic good value choices that are easy to find to broaden the list. It had a good vibe. Service is good but i feel they can do better so meanwhile not a rush back.

  • Review 139 (2022-07-14 - Rating: 5)

Really lovely wine bar. It felt quiet but not dead or empty - just a relaxing buzz to the place. Bartender was super friendly and helped us pick out wines we loved. Came here with friends, but it would be a good date spot too. You can easily talk to each other without having to shout. Ill be returning!

I almost dont want to review this restaurant because Im somehow still able to get a reservation most days. Simply put, LAccolade is my favorite restaurant in the city and has been since it opened. The food is elevated but accessible, and their flexible prix-fixe setup offers a great value. You cant go wrong with any dish, but they excel at their proteins and desserts. While they are a natural wine bar, that shouldnt scare anyone; the wine selection is phenomenal and the team can help guide you.The staff is a delight. Always so welcoming, helpful, and able to make your meal a memorable experience (for the right reasons).Aesthetically, Laccolade hits the nail on the head for me. Delightful mid century modern touches make for an elevated, laid back vibe that permeates through the buzzy restaurant.Come for: distinctive food, welcoming staff, and some of the best decor in the cityFavorites: braised veal cheek, Colorado lambWatch out: while still a good value, its not a cheap meal

  • Review 145 (2019-08-09 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 146 (2022-10-27 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic, delicious, creative, original food. Do the 3-course tasting menu. The food here is representative of current trends in Europe, not of old school bistrot French food.Seeing amazing half-off wine deals for happy hour when we had dinner, we asked about the wines and received actual, knowledgeable advice from the staff about trying organic wines we hadn’t heard of, and even when the place filled up the service was still attentive. Cool atmosphere, minimal but not too minimal, too. Could not recommend more highly.

What a wonderful addition to the west village restaurant scene! Friendly staff, fast and attentive service. Most importantly, the food is AMAZING. Their menu is concise but everything we tried was cooked perfectly. Seared duck breast was to die for, monkfish dish was light, flavorful and I would actually recommend it for an appetizer rather than the main course. Chicken breast was so juicy and cheese mashed potatoes it came with was just decadent! I am so glad i got to try it before it becomes too popular and too crowded and too difficult to get a reservation at:))

Dining at LAccolade is like stopping by a friend of a friends house. Youve heard theyre nice, that they are excellent hosts with phenomenal food, and that the vibe is chill. And so you go. And inevitably by the end of the night, youve found all of those points to be true AND youve become friends with them as well. That is LAccolade. There is nothing on the menu that I would not try again. And again and again....The gem salad is truly a gem, the scallops were our favorite and we asked for even more bread to dip into the cod dish. Do not leave without giving your tastebuds the chance to have the decadent chocolate cake. And believe their recommendations for their wine - spot on each and every time.Benjamin and Jacques - magnefique. Merci.
