Came here because it looked like a nice place to have lunch by the river. I got sat quickly but wasn’t greeted by anyone for almost 10 mins. But once I did my server was very nice. I had a delicious cocktail and ordered an app. I’ve had this type of app before with the battered shrimp in a creamy aioli type of sauce, but I did like the pickled onion component on top but didn’t love the nuts in it. The overall flavor was still good though. The views are nice and I did like their wine selections.

Great experience when the service is right. Live the pate selection, salads, oysters. Fantastic view and a lovely big terrace. Rose here in the summer - a true escape in NYC! Sometimes they have live jazz on weekends which is just a dream.

The girls who work in the crepes section are very friendly and provide excellent service. There are people who make comments here that dont tell the truth. They have bad days and go to these places to look for problems and annoy people who spend a whole day working and giving the best they can offer and many customers who go are very problematic and come here with bad intentions to tell lies. I hope the owner doesnt pay much attention to bad comments made by people who have bad days and throw it at these guys who work and strive to provide a good service that they do give it. Im a regular customer and I always leave happy and pleased

  • Review 6 (2024-09-15 - Rating: 5)

We have dessert take out! No too sweet! Yummy yummy!

  • Review 7 (2022-10-01 - Rating: 4)

Not bad.Overall food was great. I ordered the steak and eggs. Medium rare and over medium. Both were overdone but the eggs were redone to my liking the second time around. Oysters and cocktails were on point. Would definitely revisit. Beautiful setting surrounded by high end retail and yachts!

  • Review 8 (2024-09-29 - Rating: 4)

Its definitely a classic city marina style experience. The scenery is great and gives you a wide open feeling right being there. The food was good but very expensive for what we received. The service was also not amazing but OK for what it was. Fun for a walk around with kids so they can see the yachts in the port and play around the area. Lots of shops are scattered about as well.B+

  • Review 9 (2024-10-08 - Rating: 5)

Great atmosphere and great service. Try the onion burger. It’s amazing. Also the Fries are great. Juan and jewel was amazing.

  • Review 10 (2024-01-01 - Rating: 5)

I ordered a delightful Strawberry and Cheese Croissant that was wonderfully flavorful and delicious. Its truly the best croissant Ive ever had. Testing it before 2024 was definitely a great choice!😍😌

  • Review 11 (2023-08-09 - Rating: 5)

This is a Good place, nice view and environment. The place is beautiful, and has an unique design. The food is amazing, but they don’t have many options, specially the crepes, as they only have few options. I would come back to have some quite time.

  • Review 12 (2019-12-26 - Rating: 4)

Overall, solid. Oyster and drink special 4-6pm is excellent. Large selection of take home goods, as well as fresh meat that you can choose and they will cook for you. Service has been good in both dining and bar areas.Good place to browse a little and get bite.

A great place to try different French cuisines and shop for French specialty items. From meats to cheeses to wines to pastries, Le District has it all. A great place for families and friends to gather. Overlooks the Statue of Liberty which makes for a great sunset picture. They also have happy hour specials which makes it easy to try different wines and beers along with your food.

  • Review 14 (2023-12-04 - Rating: 5)

Amazing! The lights are charming and make the atmosphere wonderful and comfortable. I had good time and best salad! 👌

  • Review 15 (2024-01-13 - Rating: 5)

Le District have recently reopened their deli / fromagerie counter (cheeses and hams) and the gentleman serving was lovely. I treated myself to fancy cheese and ham to make an extra yummy sandwich (fresh bread from nearby Le Pan Quotidien)

  • Review 16 (2023-02-17 - Rating: 5)

One of my favorite places now! 💕They have everything you could possibly want! Ice cream, coffee, crepes, wine, cheese, specialty cakes and so much more.

If you are a fan of Eataly, European food/groceries, or French food/groceries, then head over to Boorkfield Place near World Trade Center for Le District. It is basically a French version of Eataly. When I walked in, I was really surprised how similar they are to Eataly! They had grocery section, and the rest is separated into categories, just like Eataly. The space was very clean, organized, and a bit pricey, as expected. They try to be unique with their name and concept, “district.” Within the Le District, they have “Market District” where they have bread, wine, cheese, and “Cafe District” where they have coffee and sweets, and “Garden District” where they have groceries, flowers, etc…We were looking for a light dinner, and as expected, everything was so expensive here… But then, we came across one section, Rotisserie, with several people lining up. They have this thing called “Plat du Jour” (daily special plate), and you pick 1 base, a protein, and 2 sides. The price differ based on which protein you choose, but it was between $10 and $13. No wonder it had a nice line of people! At the end, we received a pretty good amount of food for only $12.50! What a deal! And let me tell you, they were soooooo good! This food alone was totally worth the visit. I shared this with my mother, and we were full after finishing the plate. If you are not interested in dining there, or getting any groceries, they also have more of a gift section. They have all sorts of sweets and candies there, in really pretty wrapping or in super adorable tin cans. Read my full review of this spot and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

Got coffee and sweets here. Pistachio and Mango mousse. So delicious - not too sweet (in a good way!!) There is also a waterfront patio right outside where you can enjoy your take outs :)

  • Review 19 (2019-05-17 - Rating: 5)

The food is excellent. My friend and I had a fig salad and cheeseburger and it was perfectly prepared and presented. We sat outside for a late lunch and enjoyed the view of NY’s Harbor. I consider this place a bargain. We paid $47 but considering the quality, service and location Le District could command a lot more.A curious thing: The restaurants in the area are all top-notch and all have cloth napkins that leave behind lint. Ask for a paper napkin if you are wearing dark bottoms. The cloth napkin left my black pants filled with lint!

STYLISH TASTE OF PARIS IN LOWER MANHATTANThis food district located on the ground (first) floor of Brookfield Place is testament to the love of French food and lifestyle enjoyed by New Yorkers. It’s always full, from morning to night, with locals walking around the market stations selecting crêpes, sharing charcuterie boards at the bar and perusing the patisseries finest offerings.

  • Review 21 (2024-02-01 - Rating: 5)

Relaxed environment .. good American food & drink. Cool seating. Big screen TV too.Mario for Lunch, Enrique for Dinner

  • Review 22 (2018-09-01 - Rating: 5)

I do not give five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ often but this happens to be my favorite place to come get some coffee ☕️ cake 🍮🍰 and a drink 🥃 🍾🥂 to just unwind relax watch the boats enter & depart the harbor pier. This location on the West side near boat docks and WTC has lots of comfortable seating upstairs with many good restaurants, Beaubourg, Le Bar, Bar A Vin, L’ Appart and other shops & markets. There is also the most exclusive Caviar Restaurant in NYC if your willing to pay for it 🤑 but I come just for the simple stuff the coffee shop, meat market, french candy shop, and upstairs dining hall. The upstairs part has really simple but nice & comfortable seating with beautiful views of the Hudson Bay and BIG Boats in the docks. Le District is connected to the WTC mall Brookfield Place and has many stores Louis Vuitton, Theory, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, Papyrus and many others. It is also connecting to the the Oculus and the Winter Garden a huge glass dome with palm trees, where they have events and shows all year.

3.5 / 5.0 - On this very hot day, I was in much need of ice cream, so we stopped by Le District in Brookfield Place. They had a variety of flavors, along with a list of the ingredients in each, which was helpful.I wanted a waffle cone, but didn’t want it melting all over me, so I asked for a cup with the waffle cone.I didn’t love the cone, but the Cookies and Cream ice cream fulfilled my craving.

  • Review 28 (2019-03-17 - Rating: 4)

Ordered the cheese platter, oysters and mignon steak. The cheese platter is great. The steak is good besides I feel its still too raw for a medium rare. The oysters are not very fresh. Overall experience is good. Waiters are attentive.

French version of Eataly, but with much better service... Atmosphere also better, as it is not so crowded of tourist as the first one. But not food. The Italians do better

  • Review 42 (2024-03-29 - Rating: 5)

Love this place. It’s always fun. But, your website in no way reflects what it is like. There is no way I can tell my friends what it’s like or give them a feel for what to expect based on your website. You’re horribly represented on social media too. Insta doesn’t even know you exist. Your market place is awesome. Your media team really sucks.

  • Review 43 (2024-10-09 - Rating: 5)

The crepes, the lamb baguette and the jambon fromage baguette are so good. Great to go.

  • Review 44 (2024-12-15 - Rating: 5)

My husband I came in today to get a couple of sandwiches. The young man in the sandwich section was informative, helpful, patient and his overall vibe was a 10/10 …. The sandwiches were great and on point! No complaints from two happy customers who will definitely become regulars thanks to this young man and his overall service and the atmosphere.

Stopped by to browse after finishing a boat tour at the North Cove Marina. This place was amazing. So many food, drink, and dessert options. It was fun just walking around and looking at all the meat, cheese, groceries, ready-made foods, etc... Not just the food, but the ambience and decorations were very nice. Nice place to have lunch or brunch onsite or taking it outside to enjoy by the water.

  • Review 77 (2020-04-05 - Rating: 4)

A solid, upscale dining experience in what is basically a mall! You will pay for the experience though, the prices are pretty high for the area but again you get what you pay for.Good food, great cocktails and solid service. This is a good place if you were going out after work (either with clients or just some friends) and wanted to treat yourselves.

  • Review 78 (2023-06-29 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 80 (2019-07-10 - Rating: 4)

Didn’t like crepes until I had these. Fresher? Chewier? The times I’ve been to the crepe bar, service was prompt and crepes yummy. Made a mental note to ask for less oil if there’s truffle oil — a crepe was so drenched and the lady did not put it in a second holder, so the grease dripped all over me! A sad day for my clothes :( Also, salty mushrooms. Will be back for some spinach/chicken/cheese though!About the same prices as any street vendor, and larger. The crepe bar is only place I’ve been tempted to stop in Le District.

Ive been here countless times and I keep coming back! I used to work nearby and wed come here for a crepe for lunch or the cooked food towards the back. It is a tiny bit pricy but the food quality is stellar. They also have a great happy hour at the Bar a Vin. I havent had a single bad meal here. The bar outdoor area is also really nice and has a view of Jersey City and west River, the ferry terminal is right around the corner so youll get to see tons of boats. I work in midtown now but I still love coming here with former colleagues.

  • Review 88 (2018-10-10 - Rating: 4)

I came in maybe 3 weeks ago because I love sitting on the waterfront by the marina.. the bartender outside average height dark hair was really cool and was attentive, i witnessed some confusion with the seating area being split between table service and bar area, since it’s all identical— the servers were very short with some visitors it wasn’t cool at all.But the burger was nice with a caper sauce(nothing special, especially for the price) and decent beer selection. It’s a nice happy hour place but that’s all I see if for with the awesome view and it’s usually not a super crowded area. just the right amount of ppl.

Excellent French food court. There’s a great choice of typical French fare. My personal favourite is the steak counter at the boucherie in the market district. Choose your cut and size and have it cooked in front of you. The meat is excellent in quality. Other favourites are the bread and patisserie and cheese counters. A very good value eating experience.

  • Review 92 (2019-09-20 - Rating: 5)

This is essentially an upscale multi-discipline food court with a wide variety of options. I expected it to cater to tourists (since its situated not far from the Freedom Tower), and Im sure there were tourists there, but the overall vibe was very local. In addition, I expected service to be somewhat curt and unfriendly, but it was the exact opposite. The staff were true professionals as they dealt with a fairly large crowd on an ridiculously hot day which forced more people into the climate-controlled space. I sat at a very unique bar which featured seating on both sides, meaning that half of the patrons were essentially sitting behind the bar. Its very hard to describe, and way cooler that can be put into words. You have to see it to understand, but it really works well. The bartenders worked fast and were friendly, and the food was quickly delivered, and was delicious. I cant wait to go back.

Came here after the boat cruise and sat out on the deck for lunch. I was suprised at how good the food was - really impressed.Had the burger and the baby kale and salmon salad.. Absolutely loved both.Service was ok but its not what you go for.. Its the food and atmosphere.. On a nice day as it was it was perfect. Highly recommended.

Stopped by here to grab a drink while shopping in Brookfield; what a cool spot! The entire place was immaculate and beautifully designed. I ordered a chai with oat milk and it was perfect. Will definitely be back to try out the wine bar which looked really good.

This place is huge! Many packaged and prepared food products from France that are hard to find elsewhere. Great coffees, charcuterie, wines by the glass. A friendly atmosphere that opens to the beautiful Wintergarden. A nice place to pass an hour or two while seeing the sights of BPC, Ground Zero, Fidi. Pricey! Here are your riverfront views ... not bad!

Review of Le Bar:We were in need of something warming and hearty struggling late at night with jet lag. We had walked through Le District during the day and wanted to come back to dine. Late at night with Le Bar still open and inviting we decided to dine here. The decor is on point, dark and chic. I always like eating at the bar as it is more interactive and exciting. We ordered 2 different steaks from the menu and some french wines. The first wine was off but I quickly pointed that out to the waiter and he immediately poured from a new bottle. The steaks were excellent, well cooked but could have done with a little less flame grill as we witnessed the chef being over zealous with the flame. The accompanying salad was just right and frites a nice touch. Later we learned you can actually choose any cut of meat from the butcher and have them cook it with the same sides for just $12 more plus weight of the meat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The only negative was that service was a little slow at the start and not very attentive but one of the owners/senior managers quickly picked up on this.

I mostly love this place for its almond croissants. Very few places are skilled at making this pastry. And this place...💋😘😋😋😋Apart from that, the employees are nice. The store is bigger that initially expected. Its a pastry shoppe *and* a fry-fru-type market. Its neat, clean and a fantastic place for lunching, blind dating, or whatever small social occasion you have in mind.If you can find a seat in the right section, theres also a fantabulous view of the water over Battery Park.🗽🛳🚤🛥⛵️🏙

Too bad I cant give 5 stars to the shop and 2 stars to the restaurant. Incredible selection of products from not just France but the French-speaking world. Service at the restaurant was slow and uneven and the food was just OK. Its a huge complex so I understand how things fall through the cracks but you just cant make people wait that long and then forget half the order. It was very reasonably priced though, considering the location: 18 bucks for a hefty burger and a nice croque monsieur for like 12. Still, youre going for the location and atmosphere.

  • Review 106 (2018-04-11 - Rating: 4)

Good place, very touristic. That is reflecting the speed of waiters. The food is good, the only thing we didn’t like were the cheese - basically the cheese is fine, but the size of the portion is very small.

Stopped in while shopping for the first time in nearly two years. I purchased a great toasted gruyere and ham baguette, and a bag of not so great frites. The frites had too many small burnt pieces for nearly half the bag. Probably a good thing for the waistline, but thats not what I paid for.All other things considered, service was excellent and I was quite happy with the cleanliness of Le District and their dedication to Covid-19 sanitation.

I ate at Le District twice on this last visit to New York. You can buy food at the various counters or sit at a restaurant. The choices are great and the food looks as good as it taste. Sit and have a glass of wine with your lunch as you look out to the water. The food market is a part of a great high end shopping center. I love the Tribeca area and the beautiful pedestrian walk by the Hudson. Since our daughter decided to move there I get to explore more of Manhattan. Yeah!

Le District is a French food court / market across from the street of One WTC. This place is nicely maintained. In the market we found fruits for my kids. Im reducing the stars coz the items in the market sounded expensive.

Pleasant environment with great variety of food to eat and goods to buy!

  • Review 114 (2020-01-17 - Rating: 4)

One of the best and worst parts of Le District is the Sandwich area. Ham and cheese on a baguette is terrific. However, the workers there are awful. Disrespectful. Soup nazis when it comes to their line. Like I am at the Drivers License bureau. Its probably more about the nature of the process. Le District needs to hire and train these line workers with customer respect. I would definitely buy more often if I didnt dread the process and was treated with courtesy. @peter @harry

Market was not open but must visit place! they have great selection of cheeses , pâté, cured meats, fresh bread, wine bar, gelato bar, pastry shop and the list goes on.. you can spend the day here ,there is a mall attached to this section with high end shops . Davidoff cigar lounge is there for cigar lovers. once you are done, take an escalator down for Path or Fulton street station with main train line options.

Theres going to be the day that you will find yourself inside this Mega French Shopping District buying everything you see, even if you dont need it. This place is AWESOME. Theres plenty of snacks while you shop and customer service is SUPERV.I Highly recommend Poissonneire for your catch of the day. I shop there quite often. The fish is extremely fresh and delicious, also their prices are very reasonable. SUPERIOR QUALITY. THIS IS A MUST TRY.

Nice tea options and crepes with market cafe atmosphere.

  • Review 119 (2020-09-06 - Rating: 4)

Decent food and average service. Price range in the 20s for main entrees, so its pretty cheap for the location. Best thing is the view of the Hudson and Jersey City you get here. A lot of outdoor tables available even in the Covid era. My party was able to bring a dog as well and the waiter did a good job of giving her water through our stay.

Always so good. Food and servcie outstanding.Manager on top of everything, but not obructive. He was calm and oversees the restaurant in and out side. Good show by him and the staff. I have been coming here for two years and I live 5 blocks away. So conveinent and of course the views.

If you have ever had the opportunity to go to France, tried something incredible, and wished you could find it stateside, there is a solid chance you can find it at Le District. I recommend the truffle fries at the frites bar, the wine bar happy hour, and the pistou at the crepe counter. The restaurants are a classy date option as well.

Great space with really good fresh seafood and chops. You pick your piece and they cook it for you on the spot for 12$ + cost of fish. Manhattan pricing thats pretty good. 3/4 lbs of fish comes about to 25-30$ total.

  • Review 132 (2018-09-23 - Rating: 4)

    Food is okay, service good.

  • Review 133 (2015-08-01 - Rating: 5)

This is my favorite place in the city for really great prices steak and craft beers(not great prices but I expect that). On the lower level is one of the best steak places Ive been to. Its a deli counter style; pick your meat, the amount you want, and take it to go or cook it there. They charge $8 to cook your steak and it comes with fries and a salad. If you get a cheaper cut, like sirloin or flank, you can literally get away with having a top quality USDA PRIME steak in Manhattan for about $20 including tip! Thats insane!!!Now, get a couple beers, cocktails, or glasses of wine and kiss your cheap eats goodbye. $8 for beer, $12 for cocktails and wine varies. They have a wine bar which I cannot comment on since I am a beer guy. Everyone else seems to enjoy it though. The beer is mostly craft beer. I like a good kronenburgh or hoegarden off the draft with orange.Moving away from steak, they have cold cuts deli with a signature iberico ham leg sitting there(you cant miss it) $176/lb, yes you read that correctly, but ever so worth it. It is something to savor with enjoyment so Ill get 4 small slices for a serving which costs me $4. Thats good for me. They, of course, have all your other top quality meats like chorizo, prosciutto, salame, etc. The cheese deli is mediocre at best. Mostly French inspired American made cheese with a small selection of real French cheese. But the quality is high and Im sure you can find good stuff.Seafood! Theres a seafood bar too with the best of the best quality, again. Small selection but definitely Check it out. While I do like like them myself, I am told my many that the oysters are the best they have ever had in their entire life. By that logic, try them if you like oysters.Still at the first level, they also have a lounge bar which has a bit of a night life feel due to the low lighting at night and interesting light fixtures and selection of music. Great place to hang around at night. Theres also a small grocery store on the first level as well for your limited grocery needs.2nd floor: an artisan and top quality food court. This is not your kids cafeteria. Food and experience will vary of course. But they have a great selection of restaurants, many with individual locations elsewhere in the city, from bbq, Mexican, to sushi and cup cakes. Finally, its worth the mention of some fashion stores in the main area, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, omega watches, and more coming soon. Theres also an underground bypass to the path train which goes under the World Trade Center, if you can find it. Ask a security guard if you cant.Verdict: some of the best quality food youll find. It is inspired by French cuisine and culture, however, if you know anything about the French live, you wont find it here. They did not even have butter for a croissant that I wanted to order. Am I supposed to eat it dry? Anyway, I love this place but just remember that the only place to have a true French experience is where those people live, either in France, Montreal, or Quebec.Happy eating at le district.!

I am among those who will compare this to eataly from an experience point of view, especially since there is one the other side of the building. I’ll start by saying it’s still an upstart by comparison, but a very good start at that.I am here three times a week and am working my way around the shop and it’s goodies (budget permitting). The layout is a cramped, which would be a problem if it weren’t for the feast for the eyes in interior decor, and people watching if you are into that sort of thing. Now that it is open to the out doors, access to sunlight and the opportunity to dine al fresco makes the Le District restaurants a much more tasteful option than PJ Clark’s on the opposite corner.
