Had a great time here! I had the Penne a la Masseria and it was really good. Finished off the night with the cheesecake and it was an amazing way to finish up dinner. Would definitely recommend this place! -

Amazing Italian food but you should always make a reservation for this restaurant, walk-ins are extremely difficult to get. Get the Greek yogurt dessert, it’s out of this world. -

This place was really great! We picked it at random, and it turned out great. We were worried we were under dressed but id say causal is OK. Id definitely recommend -

Truffles anyone!? We put truffles on everything and it truly enhanced every dish. Our waiter was creative and flexible…one dish cake with red sauce and he recommended that if we wanted truffle to replace the red sauce with oil and garlic and wow! On the pricey side, but worth every bite! -

We came for dinner on Saturday night and was recommended by our hotel since it’s so close. What a great spot. Definitely not a touristy spot, seemed more like locals dining. We came with two kids and it wasn’t an issue. Service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. My kids loved the fried zucchini sticks. This and the fritto misto are perfectly battered. The vongole pasta was incredibly flavourful. So good. The bolognese was also delicious. For secondi we shared the pork chop which had truffle flavours. And the branzino was delicious too. We will definitely come back when we are in town. -

One of the best meals of my life, and I do not say that lightly!! The dressing on the Caesar salad was perfection, paired with the chopped lettuce and the fresh cracked pepper. The pasta special was a homemade linguine with an oxtail ragu that was out of this world! Savored every bite. The truffle pork chop was incredible, not to mention a very generous portion. I appreciate a restaurant that even goes the extra step of plating the mashed potatoes with a piping bag and a decorative tip. Finished off the meal with the ricotta cheesecake. Looking forward to returning again! -

We had an excellent dinner! Every dish was outstanding. Specifically, the veal tortellini with mushroom sauce was very good. We were a group of 7 with 3 kids. The kids found plenty to eat and the staff were very friendly. This is definitely a place we would go back to. -

Got a bite to eat after work and the food was really good. Sauces are delicious and not overly seasoned allowing you to really experience a balanced dish. Will be back for more! -

Excellent ossobuco and risotto. The service was great. Lentils and bread were delicious. Solid Long Island ice too as well! -
Review 10 (2024-10-12 - Rating: 5)
I treated my cousin, her daughter and husband at this wonderful southern Italian restaurant. They really felt comfortable and glad to be at the restaurant. They liked the choices provided on the menu. We started with the meatballs, the shrimp/calamari salad and the mozzarella. All the appetizers were excellent but the meatballs were truly a delight. Ive never had any better at any restaurant. They had many dinner specials and my cousin tried the pesto risotto. Her daughter just had spaghetti with tomato sauce. The rest of us has the fusilli with bolognese sauce. We were all smiling as we ate. Of course we had to try their desserts. Since it was my cousins birthday I ordered a plate with a selection of desserts. All of them were so fresh and flavorful even the tried and true tiramisu. Youll love the friendly and accommodating service. The wine list provided plenty of variety and value. -

Great restaurant and good food. We celebrated a Birthday here and this is the first restaurant that would not do anything special for such occasions. We informed the wait staff that we came for a Birthday and normally most restaurants would bring out a candle over small dessert etc, but they were least bothered here hence I am rating it 4. We were a group of 8 and service could be better. About time the owner reads this and makes some changes. Wine selection is good. There are better restaurants with impeccable service for special occasions. -

I was here to catch up with old colleagues. You will definitely need a reservation during peak dinner times. So make sure you get one. The food was very authentic and tasty. Great selection of wines. The pastas, the sea food and the steaks that our group ordered came out really nice. -
Review 14 (2024-04-09 - Rating: 4)
A little bit overpriced for the food. Not as tasty as I would expect and they did not tell us how much was the special, and it was very expensive -
Review 15 (2024-11-17 - Rating: 5)
Top tier food. Portion sizes very reasonable and the price is very fair. Highly recommend -
Review 16 (2024-05-15 - Rating: 4)
Good affordable and fresh food. Quick but a bit impatient waiters (but hey, its New York) A great food stop before visiting Lincoln Center. The place has a good vibe and tables are not too close. Toilets are clean. -

WOW. WOW. WOWGreat dining experience - super good food.My wife and I were in NYC for two performances at NYCB. Our usual hotel was booked up so we picked what was a new spot for us. We didnt know the neighborhood but being former New Yorkers we figured to walk around I look for something. We walked two blocks and saw the posted menu for Masseria dei Vini.Terrific selections!Food, wait staff, atmosphere, and floor plan all outstanding. We ate at MdV again the next night. Two memorable dinners. -

Review 21 (2024-06-04 - Rating: 5)
I hadn’t been to Manhattan since before the pandemic so it was good to be able to get back there and on this particular night it was a special occasion with friends performing at nearby Lincoln Center. We had somewhat limited time for dinner so I had made a reservation, we were greeted wonderfully in this Classic Italian Street, Café and shown to a lovely table that gave us some privacy and the ability to have a discussion. Our server was not only prompt. She was filled with information about the evenings, fare and shared the specials with us before going off to gather a sample of the Pinot that we considered. We decided to enjoy a few dishes as sharing, including their signature, zucchini, appetizer, a lovely salad and an entrée that was Devine with black and white pasta and shrimp. There was a secret ingredient that we just couldn’t pinpoint that really made the dish special. All in all a lovely evening and we got to our performance right on time. Salute -
Review 22 (2019-05-15 - Rating: 5)
Food is exceptional, and the service is even better. Very nice manager and wait staff. Wont go wrong with anything on the menu. -
Review 23 (2024-02-22 - Rating: 4)
Best cosmopolitan i have had in the city! A really great special dinner destination. We loved the vibe here.. a real authentic Italian style and great service! We shared a salad to start and the risotto and they served us our own plates each which was a nice touch. Nothing blew us away but you could tell the ingredients were good and we would defo come back for a special occasion as it was slightly on the expensive side for what it was. -

Neighborhood Favorite: Masseria dei ViniLiving in the neighborhood, Ive been hitting up Masseria dei Vini for years, and it never disappoints. This place nails that perfect mix of classic Italian vibes with a modern twist. From the moment you step in, the cozy farmhouse decor makes you feel right at home. Plus, it’s more spacious than your average NYC restaurant, so you can actually enjoy your meal without feeling cramped. The menu? Packed with deliciousness! We kicked things off with some mouth-watering appetizers. The grilled octopus is a must-try – tender, perfectly charred, and served with a bean puree so tasty it makes you want to lick the plate. For the main event, I had the Pork Chop Milanese – juicy and full of flavor. The Tomato Spaghetti was another win, with a rich sauce that tasted like it came straight from some Italian grandmas kitchen. The service is usually spot on, though sometimes it feels a tad rushed when the place is hopping. But hey, the staff are always friendly and make sure youre taken care of.Now, about that bread basket – it used to be epic with a bunch of options. Nowadays, it’s a bit more basic, but those addictive breadsticks and the tasty giardiniera still make it a treat. We wrapped up our meal with the cheesecake, and it was the perfect sweet finish – creamy, rich, and just the right amount of tangy.Sure, the prices are a bit higher than your average Italian joint, but the portion sizes are generous and the quality is there. The food is really good, but nothing thatll blow your mind. It’s a solid spot with a great atmosphere, even if it might not be the most unforgettable meal you’ve ever had.All in all, Masseria dei Vini is a fantastic choice if you’re craving some hearty Italian food in a charming setting. Whether you’re a regular like me or a first-timer, you’re in for a good time! -

Review 28 (2023-11-24 - Rating: 5)
I recently dined at Masseria dei Vini, an Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff was incredibly attentive. I started with their classic salad, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I ordered veal parmigiana. It was heavenly, with layers of perfectly cooked veal, rich sauce, and melted cheese. To top it all off, I indulged in a slice of their apple cake with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect end to a fantastic meal. This restaurant also offers delicious pizza and it will be my must-try next time. -

Review 34 (2022-10-16 - Rating: 5)
Very fancy. LOUD. I couldnt hear a single thing my partner said all night. They were very gracious about us sending an appetizer back because it was bad and didnt charge us for it. I had the pasta with broccoli and sausage, and my partner had the steak. The steak is freaking huge. They said it was the second best steak theyve ever had. Would not recommend getting an appetizer if you plan on finishing your food because the serving sizes are huge. The food was very good quality but I dont think it was as high quality as the price suggests. We paid $200+tip for two entrees, an appetizer, and two glasses of wine. -
Review 35 (2022-11-24 - Rating: 5)
Great meal 4/5. The service/hospitality was outstanding which gives it a 5/5; they went above and beyond. -
Review 36 (2024-12-04 - Rating: 5)
I haven’t been here, I had reservations on the 14th, but they had a fire and had to close and cancel our reservation. I’m leaving a 5 star review since they called me in advance to let me know what happened rather than canceling without explanation. I appreciate the customer service, I look forward to trying them next time I’m in New York. -

I stopped by for a quick bite around six. There were plenty of open seats at the bar at this time. There were a few diners in the restaurant. Service was good, attentive, and professional. Food was good and it came out in a timely manner. I look forward to coming back again. -
Review 40 (2023-09-18 - Rating: 4)
Enjoyed the food, typical of any white table cloth Italian restaurant. Wait staff was good - deducted points for the maitre d. their level of arrogance was off the charts. No smile. No humor. Bring all the tables with only women to the back of the restaurant. These two men are snobs and don’t belong in this business.I won’t go back - too many other options in Manhattan with out this class nonsense. They act as if they are from Florence and everyone else is from Bari. (Those who know, know.) -
Review 41 (2023-08-31 - Rating: 5)
An excellent Italian restaurant. We keep coming back at least once a year. Excellent service and excellent food. The pizza was excellent. Several pasta dishes were excellent as well. The deserts were amazing. Nice selection of wine and alcohol. My daughter is vegan as she had nice vegan options as well including and amazing sorbet with fresh fruit.Highly recommended! -
Review 42 (2023-01-02 - Rating: 5)
This place is beautiful. Service and atmosphere are awesome. Food was excellent, just a few tiny misses. A touch more salt with pasta and calamari in Frito misto are much larger than expected. But flavor, innovation and execution here is awesome. Cant wait to come back. -
Review 43 (2023-05-27 - Rating: 5)
The quality of the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. I walked in to take a look at the menu only to experience the best meal of my life. The reason why I gave this establishment five stars was not only for the taste of the food but for the most splendid service. -
Review 44 (2022-05-30 - Rating: 4)

Review 45 (2024-05-28 - Rating: 5)
This is a very good restaurant that’s kinda near Lincoln center and kinda near the Theater district. It’s worth the walk. -
Review 46 (2019-07-06 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely stunning food and I mean it. We were really impressed by the freshness and the quality of the pizza as well as the pasta. My wife had the crab special, which was 2 whole crabs to be eaten including the shell. She loved it. Overall very impressive food for a reasonable price. I have marked that restaurant as the one i want to get back to as soon as i come back to NYC!! -
Review 47 (2020-01-18 - Rating: 5)
This restaurant is a gem. I hate to rave about and make it hard to get a reservation, but its really worthy of the praise. -
Review 48 (2023-06-07 - Rating: 5)
I’m giving 5 starts just because I can’t give 10. The food is amazing, so fresh, so delicious. It’s the type of food you can taste the flavor. It’s amazing. -
Review 49 (2024-11-13 - Rating: 4)
Went to the restaurant based on the reviews that I read in google. For the ceased salad as an appetizer but I was disappointed. There wasn’t enough dressing and the taste was off even after putting more dressing on the salad. For main course I got Fusilli Alla Bolognese which was actually really good. The meat sauce was spot on full of flavor and the pasta cooked to perfection. The atmosphere of the place was nice and would recommend it. -

Review 51 (2023-11-18 - Rating: 4)
The bartender Alexander was pompous, arrogant, a know it all, unhelpful, and a non-customer focused individual. Would love to come back for the food and atmosphere, but if Alex is at the bar serving DO NOT sit at the bar. Move on to the next place if no tables are available. -

Review 54 (2023-05-21 - Rating: 5)
Masseria dei Vini (The farmhouse of wines) as twisted as the name sounds, the memory of the food here will stick to your heart like seeing a beautiful girl in Italy on your vacation. It ll keep coming back to you when you close your eyes and you cant help but just chuckle thinking about it. I came in hungry and grumpy and left the place with all of my dopamine centers saturated with happiness. The waiter was passionate and knowledgeable about the food and the specials of the day. Very friendly and all smiles. Impeccable service with attention tsmall details. All the staffs were working in harmony without any chaos.Lets talk about food. Before ordering, the bread basket was on the table with EVOO olive oil and lentils. They ll give you an extra basket but be careful as the actual food portion size is very appropriate. I munched on the breads and oil and couldn’t eat my pizza, which I am relishing now while typing this out. Started out with mixed salad with balsamic vinegar and artichoke salad. The artichoke salad was creamy, nutty and citrusy. Even the mix salad was fresh and crisp. I tried vegetarian mushroom soup, which was earthy and flavorful. If you eat meat, you can enjoy it with bacon bits. Then arrived the deliciousness on the plate. I heavily judge a place by the quality of Margherita pizza it makes. MDV hit it out of the park. Delicious Italian tomato sauce with excellent mozzarella and basil flavor. Each bite was exhilarating. Same for black truffle pizza, the flavors of which were accentuated by freshly ground black pepper . The pastas were cooked to perfection and covered with DOP italian tomatoes sauce and fresh basil. Squid ink pasta with clams had a perfect bite with each flavors shining brightly. The drinks were top notch excellent. We tried 3 different drinks and our friends jumped in ecstasy calling it one of the best cocktail ever.I dont have a sweet tooth but boy oh boy! Coffee tiramisu pastry and cherry panacotta was appropriately sweet and heightened our already delightful experience to a notch up!! I enjoyed it with my eyes closed and smile on my face.TLDR- highest quality ingredients with each flavors standing out. Excellent service and dining experience. Must visit. Expensive but worth it!! -

Review 56 (2023-12-11 - Rating: 5)
Fine dining with vegan options. While the dining room was quite busy it was still comfortable and inviting. Polite and knowledgeable staff were able to recommend excellent vegan options and they even had a vegan dessert option! They knew which dishes were most likely to be cross contaminated. -
Review 57 (2018-03-14 - Rating: 5)
Amazing food, service, ambience. A bit noisy on a Friday night, but just lean in when youre talking and youre fine. Wine was delicious and dessert delectable. You will not be disappointed. My dress is casual, but most were dressed to be out if you know what I mean. Service was on point and attentive. Will definitely be coming back the next time Im in NYC. -
Review 58 (2022-04-22 - Rating: 4)
A solid food and service experience, but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired - very loud, cramped, and completely unromantic. (This could easily be remedied by better design options, such as not covering the ceiling with laminate flooring!) At this price point I expect better. -
Review 59 (2017-05-21 - Rating: 5)
At a delicious dinner at the bar. I started with the stuffed mozzarella appetizer. It was superb! I had the ravioli stuffed with shrimp and artichoke. Lets just say I cleaned my plate. Great menu. I had a hard time choosing what to order because everything sounded so good. -
Review 60 (2015-08-07 - Rating: 5)
Great dinner! My husband and I stopped in for dinner after reading good reviews. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. The artichoke and avocado salad was terrific! I couldnt decide between two pasta dishes, so the waiter offered to split the dishes so I could try both. So glad because both were amazing! Will definitely be back to this gem in the future. -
Review 61 (2021-08-01 - Rating: 5)
Attentive, knowledgeable service, attractive dining room, beautiful food presentation and flavors. I have been to many Italian restaurants, also in Italy, and Masseria dei Vinci was among the best of the best. I have food sensitivities and the server discussed with the chef. Not a problem a all. I had one of the most delectable sea breams ever! Every dish contained quality ingredients and was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back when I’m in the city! -
Review 62 (2018-03-25 - Rating: 5)
Loved the food, ambience, amazing staff, cool manager, everything was just so AWESOME and PERFECT. -
Review 63 (2019-08-18 - Rating: 4)
Expensive but delicious and great service. Extensive and expensive wine choices. Dress nicely. You can sit outside or inside. Waiters seem to be Italian? So can speak English but with a pleasant European accent. Good for dates or posh meetings or get togethers. Gets busy and loud, not recommended for babies, young kids or buggies/strollers. Reservation is recommended. -
Review 64 (2022-10-04 - Rating: 5)
We had a lovely experience here. The flavors of our pastas were delicious as well as our desserts. Our waiter was very kind as well which contributed to our pleasant experience. Definitely a place to check out. -

Great real italian restaurant in Manhattan! Service is professional and kind, atmosphere is perfect to entertain conversations, weather is for a business dinner, romantic meal or even just to treat yourself alone at the bar counter! Great selection of wines and I suggest you to try the artichoke salad, my favorite plate! Highly recommended! -

Review 67 (2017-11-02 - Rating: 5)
I pretty much only rate 5 stars or 1 star. This place gets five stars. Its spacious, elegant, clean, relaxed yet effortlessly upscale. The food is consistently fantastic, unpretentious, yet still luxurious and deeply flavorful. Run by professionals, the service is excellent and they truly care about the quality of their work. It shows in the way the staff carry themselves. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food, drink, service and experience. Can you tell that I like it here? -

It is an authentic Italian restaurant in great location by the Lincoln Center. The service was attentive. The ambience was clean, intimate, elegant and simply good.I love calamari dishes. So, I really enjoyed the calamari appetizer there. In addition, the ravioli stuffed with shrimp and artichokes was also very good. The chocolate almond cake was also good. They also have an extensive wine menu.Reservation is highly recommended. It has the Manhattan quality with the Manhattan price.I highly recomend you this place for special occasions with your someone special. -

I have been here at least 20 times. Always good. My favorites are Spaghetti Nero Vongole. Diavola pizza. Agnolotti. Ribeye steak with amazing French fries. Pork chop. Ricotta cheesecake. The service is impecable. Pricey but good. -
Review 70 (2022-02-10 - Rating: 5)
Went to Masseria dei Vini on a Wednesday night, about half the restaurant was full. We were a 4 top and were seated by a wall of wine, very old and prestigious wine. Two of us had carpaccio, which was a generous portion topped by arugula and cheese, very good. With cocktails we had a platter of fried zucchini for the table, excellent. For entrees we had the duck breast, agnolotti, eggplant parmigiana, and another carpaccio, Excellent dishes and good portions. With entrees we ordered gnocchi with truffles for the table, fragrant with the aroma of black truffles. Service was simply excellent, always alert but non-obtrusive. No one had room for desert. I would highly recommend this restaurant, great atmosphere, excellent service and top quality food. -

From my experience this place offer one of the best pastas in NYC! Everything in this place is so fresh. Me and my fiancée ordered the crab special pasta! The pasta was stunning! We were impressed how good and tasty was the food there. In general the staff did a great job to recommend this pasta for us! I appreciate the quality of service and food in this place! Looking forward to come back! -

Review 73 (2019-06-29 - Rating: 5)
We had never been to this place and, because it was convenient, we decided to book a table for 12 (actually, one for 8, and one for 4).Everyone was really nice and they didn’t mind that the table for 4 was “for kids only”. The waiters were very nice and explained every special of the day with great detail. We ordered and waited... the pizzas arrived first and they were fantastic. Then, the rest of the dishes: ravioli, risotto, carpaccio... everything was really well cooked and tasted like real Italian food should taste.Desserts were also great.I recommend this great Italian restaurant, and I know o will be back soon. -
Review 74 (2020-10-18 - Rating: 5)
Consistently very good food, service & wines, in an upscale – but not fussy – setting. A bit pricey, but worth it. Limited gluten-free options, & (harder to fault, given COVID, but was always) somewhat less accessible to smaller parties (4 & fewer); sweet spot seems to be larger groups, ordering bottles of wine; often able to work in parties of two, if you call, & have some flexibility, the day of. -
Review 75 (2023-01-03 - Rating: 5)
My friends and I went here after skating in Central Park. It was on my friend’s radar since it offered gluten-free pasta. The truffle gnocchi was some of the best I’ve ever had. Gnocchi was super light and soft. Truffle flavors were well infused throughout and a handful of truffle slices adorned the top of the dish. Price point was excellent for a dish like this at $32.50. My friends were extremely satisfied with their dishes too. They got the gluten-free pene in white clam sauce and orecchiette with broccoli rabe & Italian sausage. Atmosphere was upscale and sleek. Service was great and they accommodated my friend’s allergies. Will stop by if I am in the area again. -

Fantastic food and wonderful service. Hostess and owner went to great effort to seat us without a reservation on a busy Thursday night. And, when a large group was seated next to us they offered a quieter table when one freed up. They did not have to do this but it was very much appreciated. You bet I am going back to this wonderful restaurant. They have earned my loyalty and I plan to let everybody know about it. -

Amazing food, next time Ill try the pasta. Appetizers were great and the branzino came with spinach and mashed potatoes on the side.Service is great as well, and the noise is moderate. The cheesecake, as well as the Masseria cake were awesome but too I could barely finish it - too filling. -

Nice ambiance and Food. I will definitely recommend if you want to have some nice Italian food. The staff was accommodating even though at times I found them a bit uptight and judging. One thing to note is that a 20% mandatory gratuity was added to my bill (even though I would have probably left the same as tip). That reduces the customer’s choice if you ended up not being happy. -

For the past several years, Masseria has been quite likely one of our all-time favorite restaurants in the country. The fact that Tammy and I lived a comfortable walk from the Upper West Side location was an added bonus. When I first arrived in NYC, in late 15/early 16, Tam was working for DWELL Magazine. The hours were long, the work was steady, and the pressure, intense. So, after many a long day, wed stroll over, grab a seat at the bar, order either a hearty glass of Pinot, or more likely their world famous Old Fashioned. Ah, that washed the dust off any difficult day with a robust flair. Now to the food. It is fresh, delicious, and plentiful in the variety. The wait staff was cordial and efficient. All in all, the experience was superb. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because, after planning for months and anticipating for at least as long, my wife, along with my beautiful sister and her partner, we celebrated my 60th there. And while it continued to retain the memories, the food portions had shrunk, the wait staff had lost their gloss, and the overall Homey Feel seems to have diminished. Perhaps it was because our favorite manager was not on duty, or perhaps it was an off night. Either way, Im sure the next time were in town, well stop in for at least an Old Fashioned. You should too. Cheers! -

Everyone should have a go to restaurant like this in their neighborhood. A pretty looking, quiet location with enough reasonably priced choices to make your everyday restaurant. But with a varied enough menu to make it your special birthday or anniversary place when you need that. Masseria fits this bill! You can keep it simple with over two dozen wines by the glass and a perfectly constructed salad and pizza or pasta. Or, you can make it fancy with a well paired bottle of wine with appetizer, salad/soup, pasta course, main course and a delightful dessert. Coffee was tasty. Space is flexible to accommodate both large and small parties. Service was good, with recommendations aplenty when asked. Host made a point to stop by and make sure our meal was to our liking. -

Nice Italian restaurant with an extensive wine list. Came for dinner before the Opera and we were very satisfied with the service and meal! We got the beef carpaccio to start which was very fresh. For dinner, we shared the squid ink spaghetti and sea bream - perfect combo to share. I got a glass of montepulciano which was nice and lighter. -

Their pastas are all great. I do recommend those with seafood over those with beef (just cuz they are so great with the seafood!)I ordered in after my first visit. They didnt have the full menu on grubhub, so I recommend calling them for delivery order. Thanks for the great meals 🥰 -

Awesome atmosphere, food and staff!A friends of ours from Capri, Italy recommended this place to us so we had pretty high hopes...and Masseria delivered 100%. It has a nice, well lit and classy atmosphere with a huge marble bar (yay!) that has a great buzzy vibe with good people dining there, and great, attentive and friendly staff as well.We had the Capricciosa Pizza, our fave at our annual trips to Capri, and it was every bit as delish as the ones at our top places in Capri. Excellent thin, yet slightly chewy crust and the toppings - mushrooms, artichokes, olives, ham and mozzerella - were really good. We actually went back a second time just for this pizza. We also LOVED the Ravioli De Angelina - Homemade fresh Caciotta Cheese Ravioli in a light Tomato Sauce Capri Style. Very simple, straightforward and awesome. My mouth just watered typing this! This dish is a must.I dont think you can go wrong here, and they also have an excellent wine list. Also ask for Mario, everyone here is great but Mario is THE BEST! -

Review 103 (2021-02-18 - Rating: 5)
For Valentines we ordered from Masserias special menu. Although costly, the homemade spaghetti with half a lobster and grilled vegetables were elegantly and generously presented. More than that, portions were doubled so one meal for two extended into the week. Our area needs this upscale, traditional Italian restaurant because the type of fresh original cuisine offered doesnt predominate on West 57th St. The service and delivery is first-rate too. We definitely will be ordering again on special occasions and when indoor dining is safe, sitting in Masserias beautiful interior will be a pleasure. Highly recomend this restaurant. -
Review 104 (2022-11-25 - Rating: 5)
The experience at this restaurant was top notch. Definitely a great place for a nicer meal as marked by the presence of tablecloths. Service was phenomenal and most of the food was extremely tasty. As someone who is Italian, I am also hesitant to order the meatballs as I am quite critical and they often dont live up to expectations. The meatballs here were extremely delicious and I could have had a whole bowl of them for my meal. Paired with the delicious homemade tomato sauce this appetizer was perfecto. The main courses was a bit more of a mixed bag. I ordered a chicken dish which was as described but very plain. My dad ordered Bolognese and they were accommodating enough to substitute orichiette for the original pasta.Overall, while I personally was not thrilled with the dish that I ordered, I would still recommend this restaurant and would come back myself but ordering something different. -

Just had dinner at Masseria Dei Vini, lucky we got a table without reservation. Place was very busy, but waiters were very observant and caring.Portions were big and food was ok.We had pizza, fried zucchini and carpaccio together with Red wine. Waiter granted himself 20% tip for the service. A lot in comparison for the service he provided.Let customers decide please ! -

I always get a little nervous about trying a new restaurant, especially an Italin one but we hit the lottery with this one, it was just such a great time all around! What a great experience dining at this very authentic Italian restaurant in NYC. The salads, beet, and artichoke with avocado were fantastic as were our pasta dishes. The lightest ravioli, delicious Orrichiette and amazing sauce on a shrimp/ Artichoke triangular agnolotti. The attentive staff was charming from our great waiter Issac, our bus boy Luigi and GM Alessio! We felt like we had traveled to Italy without the 8-hour plane ride. The restaurant was hip, had a nice vibe and we could hear each other talking. desserts were on point, like a trip to Amalfi! Fabulous Lemon cake! We cant wait to go back it was such a fantastic evening! Thank you all. -

My never-ending search for blissful fluffy homemade Gnocchi has brought me to the trendy, modern Italian eatery known for its innovative cuisine called Masseria dei Vini.Walking into Masseria I was pleased to find a beautiful bar area with a marble countertop and a display of premium spirits, followed by tables set with crisp white linens, stylish dinnerware, creating an elegant yet unpretentious ambiance. There is truly nothing better than Italian cuisine in a stylish and vibrant setting within two blocks of Columbus Circle. But most importantly the food! The gnocchi is tender and light, almost airy, with a slight chewiness that melts in your mouth. It rests in a pool of creamy truffle sauce, a sauce that is generously but not overwhelmingly applied, ensuring each gnocchi is well-coated without drowning.A great dinner provided by talented and very attentive staff who monitor the dining room relentlessly. I look forward to returning. Cheers! -

Very glad I picked this place whilst on holiday. Really nice meal last night. Service very good and attentive. Cheesecake lovely too. Prices arent on the cheap side but well worth it for the quality. $160 for 2 starters, 2 mains and shared dessert. 4 alcoholic drinks as well. Highly recommended. -

This is an authentic Italian restaurant— heavy on wine and only Italian beers. I wanted this to be a 5-star experience, but the food came up a touch short. It was good, but I’ve had better pasta on many occasions— good not great. The service was first class, very regular visits to the table to refill water and check on needs. Everything was wonderful and the service was excellent! We shared appetizers for the table. The best was the burrata special. The bread basket was generous, and there was a very nice dipping oil with lentils. We all ordered pastas for our mains. All were good, the best were the 2 specials: rigatoni with oxtail ragu and orecchiette with a seafood sauce. Desserts were also delicious. The standout was the service. It was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. Absolutely the best service we have had in a long time.We ate outside so can’t comment on the ambiance and noise level inside. -
