Overall rating: 4.5When I was out once, someone from Georgia told me this was the best restaurant NYC has for their type of food. I was very excited to give it a try with some friends. It’s very romantic and homey, but I will say it isn’t created for visitors. It’s a bit hard to order & trying to understand what kind of food I would like. The waiter was friendly but this vibe is more of a date spot than friends trying something new. At times, I felt l like I was too loud. The food was good but not sure if it’s for me. I was missing some salt & flavor in a few dishes. This is definitely more of an older & local spot. So if you live nearby, can be worth trying out!

I loved this restaurant so much I came twice during my most recent visit to NYC. Nicholas patiently walked us through the traditional dishes and wines of Georgia. It’s a great introduction to Georgian food and let the dining room transport you with its traditional folk art and collectibles adorning the walls. It’s restaurants like this that make dining in New York so special.

  • Review 3 (2024-12-27 - Rating: 5)

This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC! When I lived here, it was my go-to place to take out of towners. It’s good for all diets. There are many normally vegan dishes due to the cuisine. It’s all very good! Bread, beans and cheese! What’s not to like? I’ve never had someone walk away from the place unhappy.

  • Review 4 (2024-08-26 - Rating: 5)

This was my first time trying Georgian food and I dig it! The Pork/Lamb Khinkali dumplings are a delicious starter, very juicy and flavorful. I’d get those again. We had to get the Adjaruli cheese boat! One for the table is great since it’s quite heavy, but a total crowd pleaser. We liked the Kubdari appetizer which is like a Georgian version of curry seasoned beef inside a flatbread/pizza. The Mtsvadi lamb dish came with six savory medallions and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The whole meal consisted of new flavors, some I liked and some I didn’t but am glad I tried them. Atmosphere is cozy and conducive for good conversation while the service was fairly average. Georgian food is now on my radar!

I grabbed a drink after work and the bartender Gaila was lovely! I really enjoyed myself having tasty drinks and making small chat. A lovely way to unwind after a long shift. I will be coming back to Oda in the near future!

  • Review 6 (2024-12-29 - Rating: 5)

Oda House is warm and welcoming — thanks both to the atmosphere and the staff. The interior is cozy and the food is every bit as delicious as the setting is inviting. The staff is always friendly and I can’t say enough about the food — the dumplings, the cheese breads, the house special salmon — always fantastic! And you can’t go wrong with the appetizer sampler… OR of course with the desserts. We’ve been to Oda House several times and always look forward to going back!

  • Review 7 (2024-09-15 - Rating: 5)

Excellent meal with excellent service! The khinkali, lubdari, & appetizer platter were amazing. 100% recommend. The Georgian wine was amazing too!

Fantastic place to enjoy Georgian food! 😋 We ordered beef and pork khinkali, lamb khinkali, and imeruli khachapuri. Everything was absolutely delicious, with nice service and great prices.

  • Review 10 (2024-10-13 - Rating: 5)

An annual tradition in the best way. The best Georgian food in Manhattan and possibly NYC. I cannot find Georgian salad with walnuts anywhere else like this - the walnuts are blitzed into the dressing that I wish I could recreate at home. Ordering at least 2 types of cheesy bread is a must. The lamb stew and newly discovered pinto beans dishes are wonderful mains but chicken will be good too. Wonderful wine list, super friendly service, and yummy desserts. Go!

  • Review 11 (2024-10-11 - Rating: 5)

Well kept secret! Add this to your travel plans, accessible by subway. Unique Georgian food, very flavorful, large portions with sharing. The owner and bar tender are so sweet and attentive. Beautiful atmosphere is relaxing, romantic and quiet. Best dish is the house special, salmon and mushrooms baked, big enough for sharing. Potato With mushrooms was huge and took most of it home- a meal in itself. Thank you!

  • Review 12 (2024-07-15 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful experience! Gracious hospitality, beautiful decor, excellent food and nice ambient music. Attentive but not overly so service. Highly recommend :)

  • Review 13 (2023-12-25 - Rating: 5)

Such delicious food and the friendliest mixologist. The mushroom dumplings were amazingly scrumptious. I loved everything that I had including my cocktail. The decor is very elegant. A great place that I highly recommend to anyone

  • Review 14 (2023-11-01 - Rating: 5)

Incredible experience. We didnt even know this place was so close to us. The service, food, and drinks were excellent. We would be back to try other dishes. You should ask for the salmon and the bread with the cheese, which was delicious. Also, we walked to the back room, and it was gorgeous. Try this place out you wont be disappointed.

  • Review 15 (2023-07-04 - Rating: 5)

Highly recommended. A cozy gem with good service in the UES. Ill need to go back to properly explore the menu! The pork/beef dumplings are beautifully made and juicy, and the homemade cheese bread is so fresh and unique -- honestly, the cheese bread section on the menu alone is impressive. I love how the menu is authentic, and the wines (Georgian only of course). Make a reservation and enjoy!Update: I came back with a group and tried a variety of the foods and we enjoyed all of it. They were also able to accommodate us with last minute additions to our reservation. Enjoy!

Amazing staff and delicious food. They treated our whole family (newborn and pup included) with utmost courtesy - A+ service. Food was great; best Georgian in Manhattan.

  • Review 18 (2023-10-07 - Rating: 5)

Excellent Georgian food. Great texture, very flavorful, and not salty. Cocktails are not diluted or sweet. The restaurant is on a quiet block, and the atmosphere is very cozy with relaxing and music.

  • Review 22 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 5)

I can’t express how impressed I am with this place! From the incredible food and drinks to the inviting atmosphere and exceptional service, everything was simply outstanding.I hosted a party for over 20 people, and Maka was an absolute gem throughout the planning process. She helped me select the perfect courses and wines, making what I thought would be a stressful experience completely effortless. We were given a private area in the back, complete with a dedicated server, and every single guest raved about the ambiance and service. Now, let’s talk about the food and wine—it was phenomenal! Thanks to Maka, we enjoyed a private banquet menu that allowed us to try a variety of dishes. Each offering, from the hot appetizers to the cheese and bread spreads and the main courses, was exceptional. And the Georgian wines were a delightful highlight!I am thoroughly impressed and will recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC from now on. Highly, highly recommend!

  • Review 23 (2024-01-11 - Rating: 5)

Oda House in NYC offers a delightful culinary journey through Georgian cuisine. The vibrant flavors of khachapuri and khinkali are a true highlight. The cozy ambiance enhances the dining experience, and the attentive service adds to the overall charm. Its my first time trying Georgian food, and Im thoroughly impressed. To top it off, the honey walnut cake is a must-try dessert, adding a perfect sweet note to an already fantastic meal. A visit to Oda House promises an authentic and impressive taste of Georgia in the heart of New York City.

  • Review 24 (2023-04-18 - Rating: 5)

Beautiful place with authentic Georgian food. We ordered vegan choices, and everything was delicious. Our server, Sandra, was attentive, warm, and helpful. We had a lovely time!

  • Review 25 (2022-10-03 - Rating: 4)

Overall it’s pretty good. It’s my first trying Georgian restaurant. The waiter recommended us the soup dumplings, cheese bread, a appetizer like salad(??) and the kebab.Everything is a bit too salty🫠 unfortunately. I like the cheese bread the best, and the kebab is great too. The small salad ball things are quite interesting. The skin of the dumplings was thick and the fillings are too salty.

  • Review 26 (2019-09-07 - Rating: 5)

Everyone who works at the restaurant are very nice, friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. This is place has a cool vibe, the decor and ambiance is really nice. Most importantly the food is great, everything we ate tasted good. Its fresh, flavorful and delicious. Its like eating a home cook meal prepared by your mom.I had a great time and really enjoyed the service and the company.I highly recommend this place. Its a must when in NY.

  • Review 27 (2024-12-25 - Rating: 5)

I am Georgian, with minimal cooking skills. When I miss Georgian food I go to Oda House. Ive been in others too but experience has been always either too fancy or too home cookingly. Oda house has found a perfect balance between the two. It truly has the best Lobiani, best Imeruli Khachapuri, and the best variations of the famous Georgian dishes.

  • Review 28 (2024-08-24 - Rating: 5)

This was a truly authentic dining experience. The staff was exceptional, and the food was prepared to perfection. Our group thoroughly enjoyed every bite!

  • Review 29 (2024-10-24 - Rating: 5)

We really enjoyed this lovely restaurant . We had never tried Georgian food before and weren’t disappointed . New flavours for us and kind and attentive staff .We are looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu .Lovely ambience with a genuine and personal feel .

  • Review 31 (2022-04-23 - Rating: 5)

My family has been coming here for quite some time now and always raved about it. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. Meats were fresh and seasoned well. We ordered the khinkali (lamb dumplings), penovani (like a Georgian calzone), the chicken and pork kabobs and the napoleon for dessert. The service was a bit slow seeing as we sat outside, but they were transparent about the tip being included.

  • Review 32 (2024-01-26 - Rating: 5)

Very tasty n real Georgian cuisine. I’m telling like a person who’s worked 3 years as a server in Georgian restaurants in Moscow. I’m so picky with Georgian food bc that’s my fav. So yea I definitely can recommend this place🫶🏻 I’ve been here in different chama mama’s and there’s no positions of the menu what I expected to see in Georgian restaurant. So yea guys thank u so much, see u soon! 🥰🍾

  • Review 33 (2022-06-07 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic restaurant, with great food! We tried two varieties of dumplings, and two varieties of the cheese bread. The cheese bread with the egg was a particular favorite. The kebabs were delicious, and the cakes were great. It was our first time trying Georgian cuisine and we loved it.

  • Review 34 (2021-06-02 - Rating: 4)

Authentic Georgian cuisine indeed. I stopped by to try Adjaruli. Very rich and it definitely will make you full for a day. Nice outdoor seating but definitely pricey for a lunch special !

  • Review 35 (2024-03-03 - Rating: 5)

Oda House is my go-to spot for a decadent UES dinner — the adjaruli is unmissable, and they have a wonderful cocktail menu. The Fresh and Wholesome Chefs Salad, Tolma, and Lula Kebab are particularly delicious. The staff is lovely too! 10/10

  • Review 36 (2020-12-10 - Rating: 5)

The food was to delicious, and flavored. The Khinkali is really great, and I love the size. It was my firts time I tried the Khachapuri Shampurze, and was really good. The best Kabab that I ate. It wasnt crowded around 4:30pm. Good environment, and good services. They have a goodGeorgian wine selection. I really recommend Oda House. I want to come back again.

  • Review 37 (2023-12-30 - Rating: 5)

The dumplings were amazing! Oda House Special was out of this world with flavor! A lovely authentic spot, very cozy.

  • Review 38 (2022-07-17 - Rating: 5)

Delicious food, great service. It was great to try different cuisine, we came here twice over the weekend. The lunch was great, fresh food and amazing wine. The next evening came for their dessert, which was yummy and surprisingly light. Thank you!

  • Review 39 (2024-11-02 - Rating: 5)

I had a lovely time at Oda House last night with my friend. We shared 4 small dishes and a drink: Chvishtari Balls with ricotta cheese, Khinkali (dumplings), Adjaruli (egg and cheese bread), and a customized Salmon and Mushrooms with no sour cream and cheese, and bottled Georgian lemonade (very tasty beverage!). The servers and food were amazing. My favorites were the Adjaruli and Chvishtari!I will definitely be back! Many thanks, Oda staff!!

  • Review 40 (2024-02-10 - Rating: 5)

Everything was delicious. there was an amazing atmosphere. and everyone is very helpful. especially from the entrance until end of dinner everyone was very friendly. many thanks to Maka, the hostess of the restaurant for her hospitality.

  • Review 41 (2024-11-16 - Rating: 5)

This restaurant was amazing! The bartender, Gigi (hope I spelled that right), made the experience even better he was great and his bartending skills were even better. The food was incredible—khinkali and adjaruli are definitely some of my new favorites. One of the best spots I’ve been to!

  • Review 42 (2023-01-07 - Rating: 5)

What a delightful find! Everything we had was excellent and I love the small khachapuri option. Khinkhali (dumplings), with their thin skins, were on point. Loved the servers, too. Engaging, interactive, and fun! Can’t believe it has taken me so long to find this neighborhood gem.

  • Review 43 (2023-09-23 - Rating: 5)

100% recommended if you’re looking for a quiet fancy place to spend some quality time with important one(s). The environment is absolutely stunning and they have huge space without making you feel too spaced out. Very cute and functionally incorporated. Food is delicious, we ordered a three-course meal plus wine from Groupon, they’re very accommodating and welcoming. We did like the lamb dumplings, pork kabab. The chicken shkmeruli might be too much in terms of protein, we felt so bad that we can’t box the rest despite its great taste since we’re traveling. Nazy was very kind and patient to us and the rest of the service was also timely responsive and good. Whenever we’re back in NYC we would definitely revisit and maybe try more of their dry red.

  • Review 44 (2021-12-08 - Rating: 5)

The khinkali was delicious; loved that everything is home made. Had the khachapuri and it was great. Also ordered the Orange cake. I couldn’t taste the orange but my SO could. SO got the chocolate mousse and it had a fantastic flavor, it also had cognac; and it was too rich for my tastes. This place activated my SOs DNA so we will be sure to come here again. The ambience of the place was also great and it was very pretty.

  • Review 45 (2021-09-11 - Rating: 5)

Great Georgian restaurant. We ordered Matsoni qotanshi (yogurt soup), chicken liver pie, chicken wrap, imeruli, and lamb lula kebab. All delicious. For dessert we had Blomanje with a pot of black tea. Also very good. Well certainly be back. My only negative comment is that the outdoor chairs are a bit uncomfortable.

  • Review 46 (2024-04-14 - Rating: 5)

Delicious food. I loved all about the restaurant!! So good I forgot to take a photo of my salmon dish.

  • Review 47 (2024-11-08 - Rating: 5)

I happened to be in this neighborhood and I came across this Georgian restaurant. I got Khinkali and Chakapuli for dinner. The Khinkali was very delicious. The soup inside was very flavorful and well seasoned. The stuffing was tender and fragrant. It was a heartwarming dish. For the Chakapuli, the vegetables in there were so soft and tender, and so was the meat. It was great eating it with the Georgian bread. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It absorbed the stew, and balanced the saltiness. However, eating the stew along was quite salty for my liking. Overall, it was a very nice restaurant. I’d come back and try their other items next time.

  • Review 48 (2023-06-11 - Rating: 5)

The best khinkali I’ve had outside of Georgia. Khachapuri was pretty good, but it seemed like the regular size adjaruli might have been better than the small. The amber kveri wine was awesome. The service was bad but that’s how you know it’s authentic.

  • Review 49 (2023-10-16 - Rating: 5)

Amazing food and ambiance, felt very authentic! We loved coming here. Great service too. Great wine list as well

This restaurant is the best! Absolutely delicious Georgian food. Try what you’ve never had before—you won’t regret it. Soup dumplings, chicken stew, and salmon were delicious. Staff were so kind and were so sweet to our baby we brought with us too.

  • Review 52 (2023-10-23 - Rating: 5)

We love Oda House so much!!! This is seriously the best Georgian food in all of New York, and there are antique porcelain plates and fresh mint tea and my very favorite lobiani and khinkali dumplings and this place is basically a dream!!

  • Review 53 (2022-01-12 - Rating: 5)

Been here twice now. Such delicious food!! And great selection of Georgian wines too. Definitely a hidden gem of Upper East Side!

  • Review 54 (2024-02-19 - Rating: 5)

I would definitely come back! You must try the “Adjaruli” and the “Lula Kebab” .Service is good and the atmosphere is nice. Try asking the waitress for any recommendations.I would advise making a reservation.

  • Review 55 (2024-05-28 - Rating: 5)

Great experience! Food was 100% top quality and the service was excellent. We got the cheese bread with the egg and it was so delicious! We also got a salad and dumplings, and they were bothgood. The volume of the music inside was perfect and it was easy to talk to my friends. I had a great time.

  • Review 56 (2024-09-28 - Rating: 5)

I would like to thank Oda House for their hospitality. The food, environment, and Georgian culture was wonderful. If you’re into Georgian cuisine then you must stop by. Shen Genac Vale!

  • Review 57 (2022-07-30 - Rating: 5)

Absolutely mind blowing. Some of the best food Ive had in my entire life.Service was top notch, every single item was above expectations. Eveything came out on time, and very hot.Our waiter prepared our cheese dish for us and talked us though any questions we had on the menu.Bottles of wine were very affordable, and even though they were out of our requested item, they made recommendations on a substitution and lowered the price for us.

  • Review 58 (2021-12-16 - Rating: 5)

To give this five stars is an understatement. The staff were incredibly helpful and the food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered dumplings, cheese pie, and lamb skewers and they filled us up after a long day of flying. Was cozy and a vibe that could be casual or for a special occasion. I could’ve stayed all night.

  • Review 59 (2024-09-23 - Rating: 5)

I absolutely love Oda House! I was so happy to see their expansion and growth throughout NYC! I stop here every time I visit NYC and it’s like revisiting Georgia every time. It is my absolute favorite! Didi madloba!

  • Review 60 (2024-04-06 - Rating: 5)

I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional dining experience I had at your restaurant recently. If you’re a fan of Georgian cuisine or looking to explore it, I highly recommend visiting Oda House. The extensive selection of dishes coupled with the outstanding service truly impressed me. The ambiance is perfect not only for dates but also for celebrating family occasions. I will definitely be returning soon!

  • Review 61 (2023-11-02 - Rating: 5)

The Oda House stole my heart upon first visit. The setting, not only cozy and warm, was elegant in design as well. Georgian hospitality was evident and unmistakable throughout our time. The delicious meal of Khinkali and Khatchapuri was accompanied by Kindzmaruli, a famous wine of the country. Special thanks to our marvelous server, Tina. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time and we will certainly be back!

  • Review 62 (2024-08-08 - Rating: 5)

This place was highly recommended to us and did not disappoint. Never been to a Georgian restaurant before. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was cozy!

  • Review 63 (2021-10-09 - Rating: 5)

It might be the best-kept secret in the world that Georgian kitchen covers it all. I am not sure where to start... My Italian and Turkish heritage is making this very difficult and conflicted, but the wine was simply heavenly. The food was an amazing mixture of Middle Eastern and European food that I can not describe the taste. It felt like Georgia took the best elements of every country and combined them in perfection. So tasty, genuine, authentic and healthy! Amazing for meat lovers and for vegans as well! So many different and unforgettable type of food and flavors..Apart from the food, the atmosphere and the service were so excellent, clean and sincere. Excellent both for families, friends and for a romantic dinner. Many restaurants use the power of PR, Advertising, and Marketing in New York, and very selective and few that leaves you a strong mark. I am just dreaming of going back again and again! It is a rare jam that I want people to know, but I am afraid it will become too popular and will be difficult to book or loose its genuine soul. Until then, it will become my dream place to go back again and again.

  • Review 64 (2020-09-12 - Rating: 5)

If youre like me as of a week ago, and probably most Americans, youve never had Georgian food before. Well, if youre in Yorkville, change that at once at Oda House, which is absolutely divine. The cheese bread, the appetizers, and the mains are all unlike any genre of food Ive have before, and are extremely delicious.

Absolutely fantastic, from start to finish. We just got back from visiting Georgia a few months ago and were hoping to find somewhere to enjoy the cuisine upon our return to the states. This place offers incredibly authentic dishes and flavors tuned perfectly to my American pallet. Whether you are looking to re-experience the magic of Georgian food or even if you are totally new to this cuisine, you will have a wonderful experience here. Highly recommend the katchapurri, but nothing on the menu should disappoint whatsoever. Can’t wait to come back for another wonderful visit!!

  • Review 71 (2022-12-18 - Rating: 5)

So far its the most authentic Georgian taste I’ve tried in the city. The food that I tried was very delicious. Their traditional pastries, like Khachapuri (cheese pie) and Lobiani (bean pie), were amazing. I’ll definitely return here to try more and recommend to my friends to visit Oda House.

  • Review 72 (2022-08-02 - Rating: 4)

Dumplings were good, cheese bread was great. Servers were nice, kitchen messed up an order but made up for it. Would go again for cheese bread.

  • Review 73 (2023-12-31 - Rating: 5)

Firstly, the environment is warm and inviting and the restaurant has three different spaces, each giving their hospitality a varying atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing or keeping you on a timer. And then, lastly but not lastly, is the food. If youve never had Georgian, its hearty and healthy and has all the right mixes of savory meats, tangy cheeses, and surprising flavors accompanying the vegetables. This place has history you can experience and food you and your wallet will enjoy. Go and share a bunch of dishes with friends and family!

First time trying Georgian cuisine. The Adjaruli Kachapuri was gooey and decadent! The chicken soup was hearty and flavorful! The khinkali with mushroom was so special! Cannot wait to return and explore more of this hidden gem of a cuisine

Went through Cheers to Fall, great find. The stuffed grape leaves were DoPe!! Service was a little slow but not terrible. Looking forward to going back

My friend was insisting to go to this place for dinner because she was craving this food from oda house for a while and I saw why. I was impressed with the food. Tasty and fresh. Even the salad was amazing. We got the Khachapuri shampurze and the other thing with the bread cheese and egg. The dessert was decent but I wouldn’t get that again. The only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is because the waitress had a bad attitude for no reason. I understand you might had a bad day but it ruins the whole experience. The other tall waitress was pretty nice and polite though so she kinda made up for it 😄

  • Review 80 (2020-12-29 - Rating: 5)

We had the Lobio rachuli and the imeruli (cheese bread)! Delicious. The beans remind me of how we make them in Colombia, made in a clay pot, well-seasoned, slightly salty, they come with a yummy corn bread and salad. Portions are very abundant, we shared both between 2. The dishes are well-presented. What a cozy and warm feeling!

  • Review 81 (2024-03-24 - Rating: 5)

Have been here twice. The food is absolutely delicious, is perfect for a cold winter day, and one of the few cuisines I’ve craved / thoroughly missed after each trip to the restaurant. The staff is kind and gracious. The ambience is cozy. The music was perfect.I tend to be a picky eater and am not the most adventurous with trying different foods from around the world, but I am convinced there is something for everyone on this menu. You won’t be disappointed.

  • Review 82 (2023-09-09 - Rating: 5)

This is a GREAT spot. The staff is so attentive and the atmosphere is romantic and artistic. The food is INCREDIBLE. Whether you’re eating inside or out you’ll have a great time. I have been here twice and plan to return again and again.

Very delicious khinkali, and very good service overall

  • Review 84 (2023-10-18 - Rating: 5)

I went here with a few of my Georgian friends and had the most wonderful experience. The ambiance of the interior was perfect for a dinner to catch up with old friends. I appreciated the real candle lit table and flowers. The decor felt like an intimate dinner party and homey. The service was attentive and welcoming, we were there for almost 3 hours and never felt rushed to order or leave when we finished our dinner. The server allowed us to taste several wines before ordering a bottle and the Bar tender made us a wonderful lemonade for the table! On top of the great atmosphere and service, the food was exceptional and authentic to Georgian food. There are so many things on the menu that were great to share with a large group. My only regret is not ordering desert. Will definitely be coming back here when im in the city again! :)

I was thrilled when I learned Oda House opened on the UES and it did not disappoint. I lived in Georgia for a year and developed a fondness for the food. My friend and I split the eggplant quartet, Imeruli khachapuri, lamb khinkali and for dessert, we had Mariami - Oda special and black tea. The food brought back so many good memories and made new ones as well. It was all fantastic and I cant wait to go back again with more friends and family!

  • Review 86 (2023-10-04 - Rating: 5)

This was the second time I’ve eaten at Oda House, and it didn’t disappoint! The food was flavorful and comforting - very satisfying - and the service and dinner ambience were fantastic.

Went here while waiting for a family member to be done with surgery a quick walk away. Cozy, quiet place with kind staff and delicious food. Not sure why it was so quiet here at 5:00 but it was a perfect oasis with delicious options.

  • Review 92 (2021-09-26 - Rating: 5)

Cozy atmosphere with hardy dishes!Loved the pichini! The pastry and filling was such a surprisingly delicious combo. The salmon special was pretty good too.The serving size is fairly large, so be warned. Although, I was happy to have leftover pichini.I truly wish there were region inspired cocktails to go with the food. We settled for soda.Pictured below is the pichini (recommended) and the app sampler (not recommended).

  • Review 94 (2024-03-14 - Rating: 5)

The food was just as delicious as it looks in the pictures. They had great cocktails/mocktails as well. What sold me above all was their hospitality and kindness, especially from the server Gigi. It was our first time at a Georgian restaurant and he guided us through all the dishes in details. I will definitely be coming back.

  • Review 95 (2024-01-01 - Rating: 5)

First time having Georgian food, and wow, this place did not disappoint. The plates are easily shareable amongst four, and everything we’ve tried delivered a unique flavor profile. The Georgian orange wine was also a delicious pairing. The staff were super kind and gave us excellent descriptions and recommendations, so don’t be shy to ask. Strongly recommend.

The food is just amazing ! The best Georgian food in the city for sure ! The service is always amazing !

  • Review 97 (2020-10-21 - Rating: 4)

Their cheesy breads are delicious! A must. The dumplings are great to share as well. I had the chicken mtsvadi and it was ok. It didn’t have much flavor and the mashed potatoes were also a little bland.I’d give them 3.5 stars, but their cheese breads are very delicious and their Georgian wine was very good! Also, service was great. So 4 stars from me!

Came here for a casual dinner on a weekday evening. Very nice atmosphere. First time to have Georgian food but everything we tried was good. A tad salty for me but still great. Our server, Jacob was top notch hospitality. Explained all the menu in detail and his recommendations were great!

  • Review 104 (2022-05-08 - Rating: 5)

Came here for the cheeseboat of course and left even more impressed that I expected. Everything we had was a winner on the menu, from the dumplings to the various breads to the lamb stews.Given the type of food, you need to come here with a party of four or more to really enjoy everything across the menu. They have so many different varieties of breads and homemade cheeses - I definitely will be coming back here.A unique dinner in a unique setting sets this place apart from anything else you’ll find in Manhattan.

I have no clue why this restaurant doesn’t show up on more lists. We had:Chikhirtma - Tasty and flavorful just off of the herbs.Khinkali - Chicken dumpling with sour cream. This was a wonderful palette refresher.Imeruli - Really tasty but it felt a bit pizza like. I’d recommend the typical Khachapuri for a more traditional experience.Mtsvadi - omg, the lamb was so perfectly cooked! I adored it

Flavors are so cozy and familiar, but also super unique. Food was all perfectly cooked and filled with flavor. If you havent checked out Georgian food, please do yourselves a favor and spend a night with the folks at Oda House!PS - we went on New Years Eve for an early dinner - they not only accommodated us as a walk in, but also gave us a glass of champagne on the house to celebrate!

I love this place absolutely beautiful amazing place

  • Review 124 (2024-03-21 - Rating: 5)

I stopped in a couple times after work. I always get the Khinkali (Georgian soup dumplings) but I plan to come again for a meal sometime. I’ve had Kharcho before as a special at a Ukrainian place and look forward to trying theirs. I always get wine bc it’s hard to find Georgian wine in the states. However, the bartender told me I should try a Georgian cocktail. I saw her make the special and it smelled earthy and minty. My favorite thing about Oda House is the people. They are friendly engaging and excited to share their culture with this Americana.

This restaurant was phenomenal! The service was fantastic and I felt like I was in someone’s home. Maka and Maya were very helpful around the menu and how to eat the several dishes. We ordered and shared everything family style. Highly recommend the Adjaruli and the Khinkali!

  • Review 133 (2023-06-26 - Rating: 4)

The food and bread was lovely for the most part, especially the adjaruli which tasted authentically Georgian. We didnt care for the oda house eggs which tasted like nothing special. The service was slow and it was difficult to get our waiters attention as they were popping out front for cigarette breaks often. We probably spent 15-20 minutes waiting for our bills after we finished our meal but otherwise we had a great meal in a wonderful setting.

  • Review 134 (2024-02-25 - Rating: 5)

Dinner was incredible!! The 4 of us started with the Phkali Trio, Khinkali (Beef), and Adjaruli for appetizers. Every single dish was memorable fresh, flavorful, and homemade. From there we asked our server for traditional Georgian recommendations and everything was amazing! We had a bottle of Danieli; Mountain Saperavi Dry red wine and a bottle of Danieli; Kisi Dry White both stood out as some of the best wine Ive ever had. Then our shared dishes: Pork Mtsvadi with veggies and Chanakhi. If you didnt order these two dishes, youre missing out. This goes in the books as a top memorable meal for me and my family. Thank you for the beautiful ambiance, excellent recommendations, and bringing delicious Georgian food to NYC. This is our 4th time here, and we will be back 😃

  • Review 145 (2022-11-08 - Rating: 4)

The food was great I really enjoyed it. It was a little bit hard to get the water filled and it might be said that Georgian good night be on the saltier side so the water was more important than usual for me. I asked for some additional m sparkling water and they brought a bottle that was appropriate for the theme of the restaurant but it had more salt in it than the ocean. Perhaps a cultural barrier but I would recommend warning someone about the salt water if they didnt ask for it specifically.

  • Review 146 (2024-06-06 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 164 (2024-03-16 - Rating: 4)

Not a bad option for Georgian food in Manhattan. Nice decor and the food was all very solid. We started - as we always do at Georgian restaurants with the adjaruli. It was a bit smaller than ones you’ll get in Brighton Beach but that’s understandably Manhattan and the quality was definitely there. We had the Lula lamb kebab as a main which was also really good - very tender and flavorful and served with a great sauce. Service was a bit meh. It took a long time for our main to arrive and being in the back room, it was difficult to get the attention of our server.

  • Review 165 (2022-06-15 - Rating: 5)

Entered this restaurant never having had Georgian cuisine, left with my new favorite restaurant in New York. Dishes are fresh, flavorful, vegetable-forward, and focus on letting quality ingredients shine. This is the kind of place for a leisurely meal to catch up with friends and family, with friendly service that will not rush you. I recommend getting the sampler plates so you can get a taste of what is on offer, then going back again to try everything that isn’t on the sampler plates. Dessert is also out of this world, the Napoleoni was a really decadent treat.

  • Review 174 (2023-04-21 - Rating: 4)

Its my first time having Georgian food so I dont have a good comparison but overall its delicious. The adjaruli (cheese filled flatbread topped with running egg yolk) is as good as it looks, and the khinkali is quite interesting almost as an XL version of xiaolongbao. The lobio rachuli is just alright. The place looks more upscale than I thought, but the service is a bit on the cold side. The price was a bit on the high side, especially for the mains and drinks.

Interesting place with cool atmosphere. The food was good, the cheesy bread was exceptional. If you order wine talk to your server and explain what you like. The varietals seem similar but the flavor profiles vary. Servers are attentive and nice so as long as you talk to them youll be fine.

From the moment I stepped in, I felt welcomed and love what the hostess said when I told her it was my first time at ODA HOUSE: “Be ready for a surprise!” And surprised I was! The china is homey while the food is an amazing mix of refined flavors. The food was comforting and sophisticated at the same time. The house white wine was a perfect accompaniment, especially with the cheese bread. We had a variety of memorable dishes - even the salad had a taste & texture I cannot forget! The highlight, though, was the juicy dumplings with vodka shot! Thank you to the wonderful staff for the gracious attention and recommendations. I am already eagerly planning my return!

Excelente food! Best Georgian food I had. Better soup dumplings (Georgian dumplings) than in China town. The servers where really nice and the bartender was very funny.

This was one of the best culinary experiences of the year. The decor is unique and warm, the food is to die for, and Gigi at the bar gave us such a wonderful experience. Couldn’t recommend more!
