10/10 pizza and pasta at Ovest Pizzoteca.We got a takeout and ordered over the phone, 15 minutes later the food was ready for collection.The staff are super helpful and friendly and despite being very busy they made the time to cater to my pick up.The restaurant itself has lots of seating options but it is advisable to book ahead since they get full very quickly.Full bar in the middle of the restaurant serving everything to cater to your needs.

First time here. This place was amazing! For an appetizer we had the meatballs and sauce it was really good. Very tasty and soft, they were seasoned well. With really good bread made from the pizza dough.We had 2 drinks and they were very good. No complaints with food, service or drinks. Juan Carlos was very friendly and attentive.Next up we ordered the Martha pizza. Cheese base, no sauce, with a mushroom truffle oil. And cooked prosciutto on top with a basil garnish.We will be back!

Stopped in for lunch while walking the High Line. The Pizza Diavola was exceptional. The Pizza Arugola was very good. The Insalate on the printed menu was simple, fresh and perfectly balanced - outstanding. Service is effective.

We went in at 6 pm on a Thursday night for a quick bite before the Sleep no more show across the street. Ambience and service was really nice, open bar and see the brick oven towards the back of the restaurant. The food was average, the Capriccosa pizza had a pretty soft crest. My favorite was the chili olive oil, fragant and spicy, I enjoyed it a lot with the crest. My partners favorite was the free bread. (He finished all) And we both agreed the meatballs reminded us of subway meatballs. Quick service!

Pizza was really good! Can’t compare it to other nyc pizza places as this was my first time having pizza in the city. Gnocchi platter was really nice as well. Service was off a bit: the waiter told us we could only sit by the bar/stool area and not a booth (that was available!) meanwhile the restaurant continued to empty while we ate and we were the only people seated in our area. Not sure if I would recommend

I love these hole in the wall type restaurants. Just googled nearby pizza joints and we were not disappointed with our choice. This place has a very intimate dining room with a rustic appeal to it. Theres also a bar too that seemed to have a pretty decent selection. Got a pretty decent selection of pizzas too. Our food came out fast, it was fresh, and freaking delicious! The food was a little pricey, but thats to be expected with quality ingredients and the level of freshness we experienced.

I only recently discovered this hidden gem. The pizza is wood fired and the crust is perfect. The owner importa his own custom milled flour from Italy. The owner, Michele Luzzo is a celebrity chef in Italy and it shows. The atmosphere is great here and it’s busy at lunch. The service is fast and friendly. There’s a reason the local businesses come here for a tasty light lunch. 6 stars if I could give it. 🤩

Amazing napolitan pizza, probably one of the best I had in New York. If you like truffles, order Martha and you’ll have a blast. Overall ambience is cozy, staff super open and not crowded at all. Worth dropping a visit! Pizzas are around $20 each and can be easily shared. We had Martha, prosciutto with arugula and a Daviola. All of them were great!

Excellent service, with a very friendly staff. Small menu, but has a nice variety and some rather unique dishes. I had the meatballs, which were excellent, the roasted artichoke hearts, also excellent, and the Tagliatelle. The Tagliatelle was very tasty and the noodles were just about perfect, unfortunately, the pancetta was a little greasy and a bit overcooked, which is the only reason they dont get a perfect score.Highly recommended and wasnt too packed.Also, apparently great bartender who mixes a really good cocktail. My family had those, not me, so I cant speak on their quality personally.

Booked a reservation online through one of the reservation apps. When we got to the restaurant, they had no record of our reservation. They communicated that it was due to the reservation apps problem and nothing on their end. We showed them the reservation confirmations and while they acknowledged we had made a reservation, they didnt have any tables available for us and continued to seat other reservation guests that came in after us. We were a little annoyed having to wait but things happen so no biggy.Eventually a table opened and we were seated. The restaurant was very busy, seems like a hot spot. After being seated it was several minutes until we received menus. After getting the menus it was another 15 minutes or so before our order was taken. The food arrived fairly quickly after ordering and everything was delicious. Our table was cleared and we were provided with dessert menus about 15-20 minutes after our table was cleared. Once we decided on dessert it was several minutes again before we could place that order. Again, food came very quickly and was delicious.When the check finally arrived my husband was quick to hand over the credit card to avoid any additional wait. It seemed that there were two men responsible for seating and waiting all tables. They didnt seem overly efficient, while they appeared to be trying, it seemed the restaurant could do well with a more efficient waitstaff. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business off and on since the age of 15, all I could think of was how much money the restaurant was losing by turning the tables so slowly. It wasnt for lack of patrons waiting.All in all, food was delicious. Kitchen staff and bussers were fast and courteous. The only critique would be to quicken the waitstaff.

Stupid good pizza. I dont speak Italian due to it being a dead language but thankfully there were descriptions. I like the forever 21 music they play it reminds me that in a town full of hipsters. Great service, nice quiet place with such a nice setup. Feels like you’re somewhere else. And that’s not a bad thing with the hustle and bustle of the city. The pizza was soft and fluffy the cheese was just the right amount, and the sauce has a perfect balance with just a small hint of sweet. I had mushrooms on mine. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. I’ve had brick oven pizza in a lot of places all over the world. This one holds up against all of them. Definitely recommend.

I dont live in the city anymore. However, I had a CLE class downtown and I had planned on meeting a friend that works downtown, so I was lured back to TriBeCa. This time, however, I wanted to try a new sushi joint. So, I dutifully searched through Yelp and came across Tokyo Bay. The reviews are favorable, so I decided that we should go there. I arrived about five minutes earlier, and there were no other patrons there. I actually didnt mind at all because I prefer quiet dining experiences, especially when on a first date. The waitress immediately asked if I wanted anything to drink, and I politely declined since I was waiting for my friend. Once she arrived, we looked through the menu and quickly made our decisions. She ordered the spicy tuna rolls while I ordered the Philadelphia roll and the fried bananna roll (dont hate). While the sushi was decent, the pieces were too small. Yes, I know the old adage: You get what you pay for. However, I expected to get a little larger pieces. Alas, the place is nicely decorated and inviting. For the money, its not a bad dining experience. However, I definitely prefer other sushi places in the area. While I certainly want to go on a second date with the person I was with, if we want sushi again, itll definitely be at a different place.

Old New Yorker backup visiting looking for a traditional high quality New York style pizza that I cannot get in florida. Although the pizza is not totally traditional New York style pizza, the crust absolutely is. The crust was thin crispy and not chewy. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza here.

Four of us stopped in this place for quick drinks and ended up staying for appetizers as well. It is a very easygoing atmosphere with great service. The drinks were fantastic, and the appetizers did not disappoint. We ordered Melon Prosciutto, Mezcalito, Herring gin with tonic, Peconi, and a micro brew a cant recall due to feeling so good, if you know what I mean. We were also fortunate to be tgere during happy hour. They put out fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on beds of basil with a fantastic balsamic glaze on top. It tasted so fresh we were pleasantly surprised. We spent about $50 per couple, and we had a great time.
