I was very impressed with Refinery Rooftop. The food was very good- the dressing on the Caesar was delicious (though I thought a touch under dressed), the pizza with hot honey was delicious, and the yuca fries were extremely well cooked. Our drinks were also very tasty, I would certainly come back on a beautiful day for a nice outdoor cocktail or meal.

Food & Drinks were great, definitely a recommended brunch spot! The place was packed, service would’ve been better if they more people to take care of the tables. Host was a little rude when seating in and was nowhere to be found at the end to get our luggage. Again, probably overwhelmed with the volume of customers. Food and the aesthetic will bring me back on a calmer day/night.

A very satisfying combination of service, ambience and food in a relatively small but cozy rooftop on the 13th floor of a hotel with direct view to the Empire State Building. The service was perfect, as professional yet friendly as should be and the food a nix of casual (e.g. sandwiches / wraps) and more “elevated” (e,g, salmon tartare) choices all very well prepared and tasty, Highly recommended!

The Refinerey Rooftop was beautiful at night. Quite the view with the Empire State building twinkling in the background. I will be honest, despite having a reservation, we did end up waiting for our table. However, we really couldnt complain because they gave us complimentary drinks for our patience. And the service was so lovely, I have to give props to each and every one of the staff. They were very kind and attentive. We ordered our food and drinks, and we received them all promptly. They were delicious. We enjoyed our dinner with some nice music.

The nicest bartenders, most beautiful and relaxed ambiance, and awesome people around the enjoy the city. This rooftop had this antique early Italian feel to it with the bricks, maroon and cream colors, and wooden accents. It’s very elegant, beautiful lighting and everyone serving is so nice and efficient. Drinks and food come out fast and is at top quality! 😄 Love it here and will come back, go to summer spot ☀️☀️☀️

Very nice and relaxed vibe with rooftop views! recommend for a drink or a quick lunch with friends. Food was usual burgers and sandwhiches and light bites not a whole lot in the menu for lunch but the vibe was definitely 10/10 especially on a nice sunny day. Our waiter was okay and not great haha but we came for the views anyways. We also got a cheesecake for desert. For 3 people we paid around $120 with tip.

The Refinery Rooftop was the perfect venue for our work holiday event. The atmosphere is fantastic with beautiful holiday decorations and a spectacular view of the city. Warm, cozy, trendy vibe! The bar service was quick and friendly. A huge shout out to both Gabriel and Tina for exceptional customer service! We definitely will be returning!

I’ve been here twice, different experiences. The first one, it was happy hour time and it was packed! My bad, I didn’t have a booking that day. I didn’t stay because there were so many people that I couldn’t even get something from the bar.Second time, I did book a table for 2 (did it online, about 1 hr before, no issues; it was a Wednesday). The hostess was very nice and we had a relaxing afternoon with some Spritz (I recommend the Bryant Park one, very refreshing) and some yuca fries (very delicious, great snack for drinks). I believe if you have your booking it can be a great experience. One of the best rooftops in NY for summer so far

HIGHLY RECOMMEND =D 5 STARS *****Me and my wife celebrated her birthday at this beautiful and fantastic spot! Its an absolute gem of a place in NYC. What made it even better was how fantastic the team was, they gave us the best seat in the house, looking at the Empire state building, and also we were very attentive. They even gave us a little sweet treat at the end of the meal with a candle ^_^; thank you so much for helping make my wifes birthday a fantastic experience. Husband and I went for brunch. We made a reservation for 11:30 on a Sunday. We had a great view from our seat. Weather tent is still up so obstructed Empire State Building slightly but was able to sit “outside” the tent for an even better view after we finished our meal. Food was great- recommend the chicken and waffles, and drink thyme and a half.

Excellent views and service I dined here for my birthday and I will be coming back plenty of photos I took with my camera I have yet to post. Thank you for making my birthday so special with your generous staff and perfect atmosphere the fact your staff brought out my cake while the Empire State Building was glittering was nothing short of perfection. It will be a birthday I will remember for the rest of my life. I LOVE YOU TO THE END OF TIME NYC. The red white and blue for the rangers game was a pleasant surprise also. No better city or skyline in the world! New York State of mind!

I had a really good time here and its super beautiful. Unfortunately when I went it was raining but I enjoyed what I had to eat and the drinks were amazing. When I was there they had frozen apparel spreads and it was awesome! I dont even like apparel but that drink was insane ❤️❤️❤️!!! For vegans the hummus is pretty good

Went here for lunch on a stormy 4th of July, which is also happens to be my daughter’s birthday, to celebrate. The glass enclosure kept us dry but still allowed beautiful ambience and views of the Empire State Building. The space is truly beautiful, comfortable and inviting. Service was excellent from host/hostess, bartender, waitstaff and bus people. They brought out a birthday dessert for my daughter with a sparkler candle knowing we were celebrating. Food and drinks were outstanding. We had the truffle and yucca fries- both were great, sliders, shrimp tacos, meatballs. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. All great things which led to a memorable dining experience. Highly recommend Refinery Rooftop.

My only complaint is their food menu is rather simple and more like a finger food. It is tasty, but if you are looking to combine rooftop and dinner, then you probably need to consider this.Reservation is preferable especially if you want to seat outside.

Everything was on point here. Food was great, service was efficient, and the ambience is exactly what it needs to be. The terrace provides a perfect view of the Empire State Building and it feels tucked away but right in the busy heart of the city. This is a great spot for an outdoor lunch. The sun was indirect so you got some sunshine, but you were not burning up. The cocktails were great (I had something exotic with Tajin on the rim) and the food was flavorful and fresh. Has a good selection of food and drinks that are served fairly quickly. Atmosphere is good however, I visited on a weekday in November so I suspect it is a very lively place on the weekend.

Refinery Rooftop was by far one of the highlights from my trip to New York City!I was able to get a reservation for a Friday evening on the main outdoor patio space, and they gladly obliged my request for the ideal seating to look at the Empire State Building from (as first-time visitors to NYC).I appreciated that the patio space was kept exclusive to reservations (theres a bar space inside), even on a Friday night.Youd be surprised how many LA places have little to no concern for reserved spaces on the weekend!Service was very attentive and friendly, and any items we ordered were out in no time at all.She also offered to take a picture of my partner and I together when she saw us taking pictures for each other!For food, we ordered a plate of calamari, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious to enjoy.The cocktails were also creative, strong, and enjoyable!All in all, everything worked out perfectly and we had a wonderful evening on the rooftop while enjoying an unbeatable view of the Empire State Building.I not only recommend this spot, but I advise coming here over one of the observation decks, as the experience is far better!

I have always enjoyed the Refinery Rooftop for drinks! It is a great vibe for after work cocktails. Today, I went with my buddy for lunch and it was amazing. It is a more relaxed lunch/ chat vibe and they do allow under 21 for lunch. We had a good view of the Empire State building along with an amazing lunch and great service! Had the lunch rice vegetable salad and it was just right. Also had chicken clean wings that were definitely loved. The pear ginger fizz mocktail was excellent and hit the spot. To top it off, the sparkling chocolate strawberry cake was amazing!

One of the best rooftops in Manhattan with an amazing view of the beautiful and iconic Empire State Building. The best part about this rooftop is if you are a hotel guest then you can access it anytime with no reservation, you only need to tell the reception in advance that you will be attending that day. The food is phenomenal; the lobster roll and macaroni and cheese are to die for.

Probably one of the best views in the city. If youre looking for a fantastic photo op with the Empire State Building this is it! Great atmosphere and good drinks. You have to order food to be able to sit in the balcony area I think but you have a clear view and can take great pictures even if you dont. The staff, including the hotel staff, were friendly and helpful. Clean restrooms with an attendant. Its somehow both not as fancy and more laid back than you expect while being better than you expected.

Beautiful rooftop oasis in the middle of downtown NYC! The staff were very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. We loved the peach martinis, bacon and egg sandwiches, and flatbreads. Our waitress, whos name escapes me now (she had long, pretty, dark hair) and Leo were wonderful! The hostess was also a great choice for the first person you see when entering your establishment. She was very upbeat and personable. Definitely worth a stop on any busy NYC itinerary. We had such a great time and will definitely be back.

A nice airy place for an upbeat brunch. We stayed inside but they have all year round terrace and I saw people seating there (covwred in Jan) and they didnt seem cold. Plus there is a nice bar isle with counter seating and also a loungy area next to a fireplace.I wish they had more eggs options on the menu. I had an avocado toast and it was good, the sour dough bread was delicious.Our waitress was amazing and when my friend had a concern about her Bloody Mary, it got replaced without a charge, nice touch.

We ordered the **Crispy Calamari**, **Shrimp Tacos**, **Quesadilla**, **Tomato Bruschetta**, **Yucca Fries**, and enjoyed some delicious **Margaritas**—everything was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The calamari was crispy and fresh, the shrimp tacos had an amazing Cajun kick, and the quesadilla was loaded with tasty ingredients. The bruschetta was fresh and light, while the yucca fries were crispy and paired perfectly with the chipotle aioli. The margaritas were the perfect refreshing touch. We’ll definitely be back for more!Additionally , it was such a joy to see Carolyn again as our server. Carolyn is simply outstanding! She’s incredibly kind, always pleasant, and has such a warm and welcoming personality. The rooftop view of Empire State Building really was the perfect backdrop for a great meal.Apps - Ahi, salmon, meatballs, and the hummus were all awesome. All the food is a bit pricey, but well worth it.Syette took great care of us today and we will definitely be back on our next trip to the city!

The metal chairs were rustic cute but also super uncomfortable.The table was straight up broken, like the cross section at the bottom was split in half. The roof is also in need of repair. It was raining and we did get dripped on.But service was great and so was the food!

Today is a non conventional Autumn morning in NYC. Its late October and its hot in the sun, wow chilly under the shadows of the buildings. My friend and I looked for a rooftop place for brunch close to our hotel. This place, Refinery Rooftop, had a very good look, nice decorations. The dinning area is beautiful.The food on the other hand, I was quite disappointed. I ordered Eggs in Purgatory. The sauce surrounding the eggs was spice without a distinctive flavor, it was quite flat. My friend ordered Eggs Benedict, she said they were ok.The coffee... for all restaurants, please do not serve coffee from a pot you have prepared minutes ago, each coffee should be prepared at the time, using medium roast coffee beans, unless customers like bitter coffee. My coffee was very bitter and not warm enough, it became cold very fast. My friend ordered a cappuccino and I ordered regular coffee, both had to be returned and we received espresso, which were better.Come to this place for the view, the beautiful decorations, and good attention, just dont expect much from the food, which is just ok.

The refinery rooftop at the refinery hotel is a great spot for food and drinks. The rooftop patio Terrace gives off garden green room vibes in the heart of the city with a view of the Empire State building. They have a solid cocktail menu - the Duke being a juicy bourbon offering. Don’t sleep on the Sushido peppers as a starter. The sliders and grilled chicken club sandwich were delicious but the chicken and waffles and the French toast on their brunch menu are where it’s at. The service by Mackenzie was awesome. Highly recommend checking this spot out.

Love this place! Delicious food, beautiful setting, and they make a mean cocktail. Its a great place to bring a friend from out of town to show them NYC in the summer. Plus they have frosé and who doesnt love that? Only downside is that it gets really crowded and can sometimes be a bit too loud. I think they only take reservations for big groups (6+ if Im not mistaken), so just be prepared to wait for a table. Its totally worth it!

But the real winner was the S’mores Bread Pudding O. M. G, definitely too 5 favorite dessert ever tasted in my life! Recommend making reservations via their website in order to secure a table ahead of time.Definitely a must stop during your NYC visit!

Love this place! Very trendy, often crowded, great music. i’ve always gone to the bar so I can’t speak for table service or the extended rooftop area but the food has always been amazing. The drinks are very good tasting, not always strong. The bartenders are awesome. I love that they have the retractable glass so you can enjoy the open. Nice weather or watch a rain storm go by. My favorite cocktail is the Refinery sparkler. I like the citrus flavor, good amount of tequila and there’s actually sparkles in it. 🤯❤️🤣

This was my third visit to New York but my first visit to the Refinery Rooftop. A friend that lives in Manhattan suggested we go here for a drink. We only had drinks and sat on the rooftop by the lamp heaters. My friends had the #ingoodco. Cabernet, perfect pear, and I had the fall fashioned. The cocktails were delicious and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and lively all at the same time. I definitely would recommend stopping in for a cocktail on the rooftop, for the beautiful view.

The Refinery Rooftop was such a great experience, we had to repeat it. The service, hospitality, and food were top tier. Tina, the General Manager, and team displayed a warm and welcome atmosphere. We had the pleasure of receiving stellar service from both Ellie and Jason.The design and layout is breathtaking and did I mention that the food was amazing. Please try the spinach dip and the double patty burger.This was truly “Cheers”, where everyone knows your name. If the Hotel any resemblance of the rooftop restaurant, I will have to cheat on my Marriott loyalty and reside at the Refinery. 5 star service. I was staying at the hotel and visit the rooftop for a quick drink. Be aware they have no children policy after 6:00pm if you are planning to bring along the little one. ( check with the front desk before heading over there) The manager is very accommodating as this place was very busy with private function. He gave us a outside table with a very nice view. Price is reasonable and food is great. I would recommend making reservations ahead of time as this place gets very busy in the night time and I have seen many disappointed people walking away.

From the minute we entered the hotel lobby and were greeted by very sweet and hilarious security/host/guides at the elevators- we were delighted.We were seated on the enclosed patio with a view of the empire state building. Food and drinks arent cheap in NYC so this was what I would consider normal pricing but might be considered expensive to out-of-towners. Let me tell you though, worth every penny! We got the steak panini and the burger and mom got an expresso martini while I got their Up in Smoke cocktail. PHENOMENAL. Everything about the evening was just perfect- including the cookie skillet dessert too! 10/10 recommend.
