Finally got around here last weekend! I would say for it being the end of the season, it was decent. I definitely plan to try it again in the spring or summer. The red flight was fine, but the mulled wine was what really hit the spot on the chilly night. Highly recommend Porto as the food option!

Rooftop Reds is a true hidden gem in the Navy Yard of Downtown Brooklyn. It offers a nice view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines (though most of the manhattan side is covered by surrounding buildings). The vibes are relaxed with open seating, hammocks, large tables, and backyard games like cornhole. I especially like that the grape vines are intertwined with the seating, so that you can sit all around the plants while you enjoy your wine or cocktail.Service was spectacular with two sommeliers working the wine bar. They took their time to explain the menu and patiently described the flavor profile of each of the wines to me and my friend (two complete novices). I suggest trying their in house wines and the Le Mone spritz, which is similar to an Aperol Spritz but made with a lemon liqueur instead. It can be kind of difficult to get to the location since it in inside the Navy Yard and there is no direct access from the main street. Once you get there, you have to go up about 4 flights of stairs since the elevator is for special use only. They have a small snack menu but you can also order pizza from IL Porto, which will be delivered right to the rooftop. You cannot bring outside food or drink.Reservations are mandatory but I went on a Friday evening and there was only about 3 other groups there. There was also no cover when I went. Based on the other reviews, they must be more strict and charge cover on busier days or weekends.I plan on coming back here with more family and friends!5/5 stars!

This place is fantastic!! We came here for a group outing and had such an amazing time. Natasha and her team were so organized and attentive, they took incredible care of us. Devin hosted our group wine tasting which was fun and informative. This was a great interactive experience that was so much more interesting than just drinking on a rooftop. We had a welcome drink as guests arrived, then a charcuterie pairing during the wine tasting, followed by pizza/flatbreads when we transitioned to reds, and after the wine tasting ended we a more substantial catered meal, followed by some competitive cornhole games! If you’re looking for a place to hang out or a place to host a party, we had 40 people and everyone had positive things to say. I would definitely come back. Just note that getting into the Brooklyn Navy Yard is tricky, so if you’re bringing a big group, make sure you give clear directions so your guests don’t get lost.

As an event planner, I have always been on the search for new vendors to engage for both personal occasions and professional events on behalf of my employers.I first came upon Rooftop Reds at a street market in Dumbo while meeting a friend for brunch. I reached out to them months later to see if they were interested in being a vendor at my real estate companys community annual holiday market in November. Right away, they agreed not only to sell their wines for our exclusive market at West 57th street but also provide samples and recommendations for each resident.Three months later, I hired Rooftop Reds to host various private wine tasting events throughout February and March at all my residential properties. They were very professional, efficient, and knowledgeable, engaging my residents through an interactive setting. These were among my top sold-out events! After each tasting event, I gladly purchased a few cases of their wines for all my upcoming events. The residents were extremely interested in learning the founders story and tasting local wines. My guests even encouraged me to organize a private outing to tour their rooftop location at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I highly recommend hiring them for a special event at your home, office, or community. The rates are reasonable, wines are delicious, and their team is fantastic!

  • Review 5 (2023-08-13 - Rating: 4)

Rooftop that has a vineyard, hammocks, lounge area, live music and overall chill vibes. Do not recommend the June bug red and white wines but the reisling flight was good. There is a $15 entrance fee that comes with boxed water. It was very confusing getting to the rooftop.

  • Review 6 (2023-09-05 - Rating: 5)

Went solo and had a nice time. I felt very comfortable and safe. I had a glass of wine and enjoyed the scenery. Its in the back of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and walking alone can seem a little sketchy but it was totally safe. Its a lot of stairs to the rooftop, like maybe 5th floor walk up but Im not sure I just seemed like never ending stairs. Youre greeted with a box of water. The atmosphere was esthetically pleasing and the vibes was cool.

  • Review 7 (2019-07-21 - Rating: 4)

We didn’t really know what to expect and that was probably for the best. We went around noon on a Sunday and it wasn’t crowded until about 2 hours later. If you’re looking to beat crowds, that’s the time to go. The indoor stairwell is hidden and I’m not sure they have an elevator, so prepare to walk.We didn’t try the food, but the wine and drink list was great. Tried about 6 wines and none disappointed. It’s a great place to go during an afternoon when you don’t know what else to do. Awesome place to hang out with a group of friends since there’s seating areas and corn hole.I would eat before or after, the menu was lacking.

  • Review 8 (2018-10-01 - Rating: 4)

The place is in the middle of nowhere in the navy yard. There is parking inside the complex. If you have a car please bring it inside otherwise you would have to walk all the way in. The building doesn’t have a elevator so you have to take the stairs. Coming to the views. The views are good towards Brooklyn side but the Manhattan side is obscured by the tall chimneys of the factory there. The wines that they have are nice and their own. There is no food menu I believe and we had to order our own. It’s worth the visit, but don’t make it a go to place every time, especially due to the location. Nearest subway is an avg 15 min walk maybe even more. Make sure to come here with a large group so that you can either do a car pool or a cab.

  • Review 9 (2021-08-16 - Rating: 4)

Great night out! It was so hot that we were given a popsicle 😂 It gets pretty busy so service can be a bit slow, but the entire staff were incredibly friendly. Really enjoyed the Alsatian flight. My only complain was that its tricky to find even with the directions on the website. There should me more signs leading to it.

  • Review 10 (2017-06-23 - Rating: 5)

Rooftop Reds is quite the find in Brooklyn right now. Amazing views of Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn with a very relaxed atmosphere. They have fun movie nights in the summer and the staff is always pleasant. If you want to go, find their website and make a reservation - its never booked, you just need a ticket to get in the gate at the Navy Yard. Not to mention the wine selection pleases everyone.

  • Review 11 (2023-05-27 - Rating: 5)

Its a bit pricey if you want the local vintages, but overall really great ambiance, pizza delivery straight to your table, and some overall tasty wines to select from. Also the server was a sweetheart.

  • Review 12 (2019-11-25 - Rating: 5)

Cool location for social hang out within the Brooklyn Navy Yard campus. Rooftop location offers views Downtown Brooklyn to the southwest and parts of the Navy Yard in the opposite direction. The space itself is decked out with hammocks, bean bag toss, and other games, along with plenty of table and seating arrangements.

  • Review 13 (2021-08-31 - Rating: 5)

One of the first urban wineries on a rooftop on a vibrant neighborhood is a must. Is inspiring to see the vines on a roof, came with a couple of friends and had a great time on a weekend a couple of years ago then I came back for a private wine event and had a great time watching the sunset and sipping wine.

  • Review 14 (2019-09-27 - Rating: 5)

Great place in the city for wine. Love the atmosphere and the rooftop area with great views. You will have to use the stairs though!

  • Review 15 (2023-07-17 - Rating: 5)

Very chill place to hang and enjoy some wine. Just know that any cheese you order comes as a full package. The Camembert was addicting and very buttery. The cheddar had a pleasant sharpness. All the wines I had were very good. Friendly, helpful staff as well.Be warned- unless you have mobility difficulties and notify them at least 24 hours in advance you will be walking up five flights.

  • Review 16 (2024-06-10 - Rating: 5)

I love this place. It’s definitely an unconventional location but that’s part of what makes it such a gem. We factored in extra time to find it which meant we arrived before they officially opened - they couldn’t have been nicer and were rushing round to get everything ready for us quicker.Although there isn’t much food on the menu (they don’t have a kitchen) you can order pizza which gets delivered to the roof.Of course it’s not like visiting a countryside vineyard, but if you’re looking for something quirky to do with a few hours in Brooklyn I would definitely recommend Rooftop Reds. The wine we tried (Sparkling Riesling) was fab. The Hammocks are amazingly comfortable and loved the views of Downtown Brooklyn and the Empire State.

  • Review 17 (2022-07-10 - Rating: 5)

Amazing beautiful experience. The wines are very tasty and the atmosphere is very chill. Highly recommend this secret gem

  • Review 18 (2023-08-24 - Rating: 5)

Celebrated my little sister birthday here today. It is the best place to take pictures.

  • Review 19 (2017-06-29 - Rating: 5)

Great Thursday movie nights! $30 for a movie, a glass of wine, and 2 pieces of pizza. A little confusing to get to within to Brooklyn Navy Yard though!

  • Review 20 (2019-10-19 - Rating: 5)

Great spot for wines with an amazing view! We had the red and white flights. Both were very good!

  • Review 21 (2021-08-29 - Rating: 4)

Four of us really enjoyed the experience. Its not that difficult to find when following the instructions that come with he tickets.Service is good and staff are friendly. Wine is nice, pizzas are very good. The setting is lovely with great views of Brooklyn and Manhattan.Only negative are the prices, be prepared to dig deep into your wallet. Oh and its a little strange to be given chilli flavour chips on arrival, not the best palate cleanser before a wine tasting. But as a one off experience or occasional treat, its definitely worth a trip to Rooftop Reds.

  • Review 22 (2022-08-14 - Rating: 5)

I echo Kelly M. Mueller’s post that this place is fantastic!! Booked RR for a surprise birthday party and everything and everyone was so organized and attentive from my initial contact to schedule with Michelle who was so responsive, answering my many questions, to Natasha the day of, Irena and Rick, hosts of our group wine tour and tasting who were so knowledgeable and informative. We were well taken care of. If you want a fun interactive experience for a small casual get together or a large party for a special occasion, this is a hidden gem (yes, literally, a bit hard for our guests to find). Everyone loved it. As the host of the party I didn’t get to enjoy it as I was making sure my guests and the birthday girl were having a good time so I plan on going back for me!

  • Review 23 (2024-07-02 - Rating: 4)

Incredible location. Nice view. You’ll be able to relax and have a drink in a very unique setting, surrounded by vitis vinifera trees, the same that they use to produce their own wine. They don’t provide food, but you can order for delivery.

  • Review 24 (2022-08-02 - Rating: 5)

Super cute wine bar in a sort of hidden location in BK. Its in the Navy Yard so it could be hard to find but they send directions via email and its easy to find if you follow the map.I love the message of what they do there. Their focus is sustainability and bringing wine education to everyday people. Our waitress was super knowledgeable and guided us through the flights with us in a very interesting way.We had a great experience and I highly recommend anyone interested in local wine to visit!

  • Review 25 (2022-08-13 - Rating: 5)

The wines are amazing here! This was such a fun experience, getting in was a little confusing. You approach this vintage building and have to go up 4 big flights of stairs. When you get to the top your welcomes with a smile, box water and chips with an amazing view! This place is modern, bistro lights, hammocks, pretty chairs and tables with the grape vines and plants providing shade. We got the wine flights and they were perfect, you get to sample 3 wines with each flight. The white wine we had was amazing on the 1st flight so I had a glass of that. I’m not a big wine person but this was definitely a fun experience!

  • Review 26 (2021-07-27 - Rating: 5)

Really enjoyed this place, wish I knew about it earlier! Wine was great, the owners were so nice, had a nice view, and great vibes! Will definitely be back!

  • Review 27 (2023-06-21 - Rating: 5)

Movie nights here are amazing! The wine selection and taste is great! Loved it here! A lot of space to hang out and chill!

  • Review 28 (2019-10-06 - Rating: 5)

A little hard to find, you are supposed to make reservations in order to get through the gate of the navy yard. You must climb a few flights of stairs since there was no available elevator that I was aware of. The staff were very nice, they had hammocks and bean bag toss. A great place to hang for a while among the potted grape vines.

  • Review 29 (2021-06-06 - Rating: 5)

Had a fun time in the sun, drinking wine with friends! It was definitely not a cheap outing (admissions fee + not cheap wine), but was a good time. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. We ordered pizza from Il Porto and snacked on our complimentary chips and boxed water. Would go back if I were planning another special activity with friends.

  • Review 30 (2023-07-19 - Rating: 5)

I went with my sisters for movie night fory bday. I was nice. The rooftop vineyard over sees the city, which makes it very nice. Plenty of places to sit down and have a view. The extras outside of what is offered is about the same price as snacks at the movies. But everything else that is promised is offered. These are actually night time pictures I took of the vineyard

  • Review 31 (2020-09-28 - Rating: 4)

It was a little hard to find down in the area so definitely ask the gate guard or someone walking around if you’re unsure of where to go. Once we found it and got up to the roof I was taken back by the scenery and atmosphere. Nice spot to hold a conversation and just chill out and hang with a small group of friends or even a date night. They don’t have a huge selection of wine and beer to choose from but that’s ok. If you’re looking for hard liquor unfortunately this won’t be the place for you. But, we did however have a bottle of the sparkling Rosè which was pretty tasty. The Zapps Voodoo chips and boxed water were a great icing on the top. My wife and I will definitely be back when we’re in BK again.

  • Review 32 (2017-07-06 - Rating: 5)

This place is amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and the owner is awesome. Amazing selection of wine and the also have Ice Wine which I recommend trying if you like sweeter wines.

  • Review 33 (2022-01-06 - Rating: 5)

BOOK YOUR TICKETS NOW! Rooftop Reds is a vineyard in Brooklyn Navy Yard that sells wines by the glass, bottles & FLIGHTS! I found this after looking for a fun activity on eventbrite & purchased tickets with two of my close girlfriends. No outside food or drinks are allowed BUT you are given a bottle of water & bags of chips with your ticket. You can also order pizza from a partner restaurant that is delivered right to your table. We had an amazing view of Fort Greene & enjoyed watching the sunset. Would highly recommend for a mid sized group or fun date activity! Don’t think twice, BOOK NOW!

  • Review 34 (2019-05-07 - Rating: 5)

Just make sure you follow the instructions in the booking confirmation email on how to get there (or the advice in previous reviews here). Dont do what we did and spend thirty minutes figuring out how to get inside an industrial complex.. Once youre in, its a pretty magical spot by New York standards. It was empty when we went (we probably got lucky), and the skyscraper vista that is contrasted with the vines in the foreground is pretty unique. The wine isnt too badly priced by NY standards (around $9 for the cheapest glass), and it is excellent. Wonderful date night place; it still felt undiscovered, though that could be because we went on a rainy evening. No walk-ins, make sure you book.

  • Review 35 (2023-04-26 - Rating: 5)

How Amazing Time there !Ok just for us cause opening at 5PM, but wines are lovely tasting, the View IS exceptionnal even if its placed in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.Homemade wines, thx to the owner for let us have that wonderful Time there!

  • Review 36 (2023-09-02 - Rating: 5)

Celebrated my bday there. The ambiance is wonderful along with the view. Friendly staff

  • Review 37 (2017-06-01 - Rating: 4)

We met Devon and Chris on the way out on Sunday, which was overcast, windy, and a little chilly. Devon seemed pretty chill and laid back while I had a small moment with Chris over garbage plates. All in all, its a fun spot with a good number of picnic type tables, outdoor couches, and hammocks. The wines and beer seem like a good selection, so its a great Friday night spot to wind up the weekend or a Sunday spot to wind down the weekend. The staff is very approachable, so dont be shy!

  • Review 38 (2016-05-05 - Rating: 5)

If you love quality wine and a city, Rooftop Reds is for you! DC native, Devin, started Rooftop Reds after learning the art of wine in upstate New York and started the worlds first ever urban, rooftop winery. Amazing!Rooftop Reds is located in a historic brick building in the Brooklyn Navy Yards and has every charm a Brooklyn rooftop has to offer from amazing views of the city to Instagram worthy rooftop picnic tables. The rooftop actually has vines growing as you sit at one of the picnic tables or one of the four large hammocks. Enjoy a tasting or stop by the rooftop bar for other options. My friends and I did the tasting of their original wines and all were quality. Most were on the slightly sweeter side, but not in a way that non-sweet loving winos wouldnt love it.Definitely make this a must do in Brooklyn!

  • Review 39 (2022-09-07 - Rating: 4)

Heard about this place on a podcast so I added it to my list of BK spots to visit.Nice views.Enforced rules. Will have to revisit. My experience was so-so. The guard at the gate gave me exact directions to the location and then I was met at the bldg by one of the pizza delivery guys from Il Porto…so getting to the rooftop was easy.Customer service was ok with accommodating hosts. The waitresses that I encountered were aloof. I ordered the Riesling flight; which was refreshing, but small. I guess that’s ok since you have to take 4 flights of stairs to exit🤷🏾‍♀️Nonetheless, I’d recommended Rooftop Reds. Order some pizza and stay a while…

  • Review 40 (2022-11-06 - Rating: 4)

It is not a traditional space which makes it more attractive for a visitor. I don’t think they have regural customers as it is not an obvious choice. You have to make a reservation, nd show it to a guard outside a building in this complex, then you have to find the correct building and go to fifth floor with no elevator. So it is not for an average American :) wines are solid, not bad. It is though super overpriced. That’s the reason for 4* instrad 5.

  • Review 41 (2023-04-16 - Rating: 5)

Came across Rooftop reds by chance while strolling through a Christmas market in Brooklyn. The guy we spoke with was so nice and informative… we heard all about the amazing vineyard b a local rooftop! Unfortunately it was off season so we couldn’t arrange to go but along with our mulled wines we bought a bottle of sparkling reisling to toast together on Christmas Day… little did I know when we bought it that it would be an engagement toast 🤩💍💕 both wines were delicious and we will definitely book a visit for our next dinner NY holiday

  • Review 42 (2016-08-09 - Rating: 5)

Amazing urban space that will only grow in popularity. Another year or so until their own grapes are harvested. The view is spectacular. An industrial entrance within the Brooklyn Navy Yards. Game and movie nights throughout the week. Winter they will close and check their hours prior to visiting.

  • Review 43 (2019-07-13 - Rating: 5)

Rooftop Reds hosted our pre wedding drinks. The team completely exceeded our expectations - an amazing area reserved, great wine (obviously!) and pizza, plus super easy to deal with and reserve (we had a space for 60 people). Yes the place is tricky to find. But as soon as you arrive at the roof, grab a glass of rosé, its one of the best places in the City.

  • Review 44 (2021-06-10 - Rating: 4)

Innovative rooftop space with nice cheese & wine pairing.

  • Review 45 (2018-03-08 - Rating: 4)

Beautiful rooftop spot to drink wine on a sunny day. Service is a little chaotic, but will hopefully improve with time. Get there early as they have a limited capacity. #rooftopbars #brooklynnavyyard

  • Review 46 (2019-04-08 - Rating: 5)

Step 1: RSVP to an event here - to enter the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the security booth will double check your name is listedStep 2: Walk past the stop sign, steer slightly right to the brick building at the end of the road. Go in the unmarked doors and walk up 4 flights of stairs.Step 3: Go out the door at the top of the 4th flight of stairs and walk on the outdoor staircase. Dont wear heels and dont look down if youre scared of heights! The metal staircase is slatted and you can see right through to the ground.Step 4: Order a drink, swing on the bench swings, play a game of corn hole and take a wine induced nap on the hammocks.Would love to come back once the vines are in bloom - the roof looks a bit drab for the time being as theyre just opening up for the season, but can see this place shaping up in the upcoming months.

  • Review 47 (2022-06-06 - Rating: 5)

    Great venue for wedding

  • Review 48 (2022-04-17 - Rating: 4)

We really enjoyed our time here, and we stayed for almost 4 hours! The rooftop was well decorated and has amazing views if the weather is nice. Our only wishes were that it was easier to locate and a little cheaper. We tried a few wine flights (which were all fun), but think that ordering bottles would have been slightly more economical.

  • Review 49 (2021-09-08 - Rating: 4)

Loved the place. I went during peak grape time and the harvest was amazing 😍 I have removed one star for the crazy prices. But the place is definitely worth the visit and the experience.

  • Review 50 (2017-07-13 - Rating: 4)

  • Review 53 (2017-08-08 - Rating: 5)

Such a brilliant idea and experience. Went on a cloudy Sunday evening and suddenly felt like I was in heaven. Laid on a hammock among the vines, drinking NY rosé just felt so special. Delicious selection and great little areas to spend time with your friends. Cant wait to try their own yield when it comes. Ill be back.

Rooftop reds is a hidden nyc gem. The views are gorgeous. The wine selection is plentiful and if you’re a beer person theres something here for you too. Getting lost inside the brooklyn navy yard trying to find this place is also the best part lol.

  • Review 55 (2018-10-05 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 56 (2023-09-18 - Rating: 5)

I attended Rooftop for a private dinner event and the restaurant staff and owner where very welcoming and polite. The views of downtown Brooklyn were a nice backdrop as well as the grape vines growing around the seating. It was nice to enjoy the breeze and have some food with friends. All in all a great experience and a nice little gem tucked away in the navy yards.

  • Review 60 (2023-07-16 - Rating: 4)

Lost only 1 star because the food menu on their website for pizza is outdated and the prices are incorrect. I ordered a pizza for $21 and was startled when the delivery man gave me a bill of $30 for one pizza. Other than that atmosphere and drinks are great! Recommend going later near night-time because at 12 noon the sun is BLAZING and theres no fans or any other way to cool up there.

  • Review 61 (2023-06-05 - Rating: 5)

Fantastic experience here! The stairs were a bit of a surprise but once I got to the top, the staff immediately offered us water (I was a little out of breath lol). They were so helpful and descriptive of the wines and options when we asked questions. The wine, views, and pizza was so tasty. It’s a very cute experience. I highly recommend it for a day date with friends or a partner.

  • Review 67 (2021-06-19 - Rating: 5)

Neat location. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. You’re given water and chips when you sit down, they do collaborations with restaurants so the food menu is constantly changing, and the wines were all very nice.Beyond just the quality of the food/drinks, the place has a nice ambience. It’s more than a little impressive that the owner has managed to grow grape vines on a roof in NYC. You get to sit in a vineyard in the concrete jungle.Finding the location is a little tough. It’s in the back of the Navy Yard with effectively no signage to tell you where to go. You go up four flight of stairs and you’re there. If you want to visit a vineyard without the drive upstate, you can’t go wrong with Rooftop Reds. Highly recommend.

Cool place for a winery in town. Great location more than the actual wine.

  • Review 73 (2022-09-13 - Rating: 5)

Rooftop reds is a gem - one of the only (if not the only??) wineries around with an amazing view, great drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. There are hammocks, cornhole, lounge chairs, and great sights. A reservation is required so plan ahead!

Rooftop Reds is a hidden gem with great wine, great service and even better food. We came for the ribs and rose event and were extremely happy. Will be back soon with friends

This place has great views and has plenty outdoor seating. Access is a little quirky but there is plenty of parking. It has a small cover but it worth it. A great place for get togethers with friends or co-workers.

  • Review 76 (2019-07-30 - Rating: 5)

An oasis on the roof, relaxed spot for delicious wines and chillaxing. Loved this discovery

  • Review 77 (2022-05-16 - Rating: 4)

I loved the ambiance of the Rooftop. It’s 2 things I would want for Rooftop Red. I couldn’t find the space because the signs were not noticeable maybe decorating or placing a decorative sign so people know where it is. I was nervous walking and it seemed like I was the only one walking in the area. 2nd is the food choice and price range. We can’t bring our own food but the only choice is bites or pizza from outside. Maybe some sandwiches choices. Other than that. ❤️❤️

A group of friends and I went on a Friday night. As soon as we walked in we noticed that they were hosting a movie night. We paid a cover charge in advance to reserve a table. We were given chips and boxed water. The wine was great! It has beautiful views and even games like corn hole. I would definitely be back!

One of my favorite spots in Brooklyn!! Good people, great vibes, and awesome selection of wine. Check out their events for a good time.

  • Review 83 (2018-05-15 - Rating: 5)

This is the best kept secret in Brooklyn right now!! Youll feel like youre absolutely not going the right way as you walk through the Navy Yard, but keep going and youll eventually find yourself on one of the coolest rooftops with wine, corn hole, hammocks, and even outdoor movies some times. Best part is that its never crowded, and it offers a unique view of the Brooklyn skyline. You wont find a cooler place to chill this summer.

  • Review 84 (2022-06-21 - Rating: 5)

Very cool atmosphere, for getting away and just chilling

Had a surprise Bridal shower for my sis . The service was great the experience was fantastic. Deven was very knowledgeable about the wines and explained what we can pair each one with. Super cool idea we will all visit again.

Could be easier to find and access. U receive a code that has to be scanned at the guard house. Then u have to find the building, and walk up 5 flights of stairs. You kn not to take the elevator bc, youve read the threatening message included with the ticket that states you will be kicked out w/o refund if u do attempt to use the elevator (in case u forget, theres a sign on the elevator to remind u). Once u actually make it up to the roof top, its quite a nice, welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted and promptly seated. They did their best to keep guests in shaded areas, however it can become very hot up there. Wines were delicious, as was the pizza. Well worth the $$$ once u get past all of the minor inconveniences. $15 admission gets u a box of water and a bag of chips. Wines can be purchased from $10 - $22 dollars per glass if I remember correctly.

  • Review 88 (2019-05-23 - Rating: 5)

Came here on one of the first weekends they were open this summer and it was a great experience. Not busy at all with a great open space and delicious wine. Its a mini oasis in the heart of Brooklyn, well worth the trek over.

  • Review 89 (2020-10-21 - Rating: 5)

Yes, the wines here are a little pricey. Yes, you may not be getting as much wine as other wineries. I will say however, that the wine here was phenomenal. Everyone in my group was impressed. My bf who normally doesnt care for gewurztraminer loved it so much that he bought a bottle. My friend was obsessed with the rose. Another friend loved the riesling. Great views too, and really cool staff.

First time at a rooftop winery and it was a very good time. The only vineyards Ive been to were out in the west coast but this idea is very innovative and fun. The only difficult thing is that the building isnt very easy to find. But once you do find it, tlhe views are spectacular. To one side, you can see the Brooklyn skyline and on the opposite side, you can see Manhattan. The wines that they make is really good. I tried their rosé and their chilled Red blend. Delicious on both ends. You can order draft wine, bottled wine, or wine flights if youre a little indecisive. The staff is so friendly and down to eatch. the person that took care of us was Derek and he knew so much about wine. When a person is as passionate as Derek is about their product, it enhances the experience that much more. Would love to visit again for the views, the wine, and the staff.

Really cool place and great wine. Finding the place is a bit daunting as an out-of-towner (it’s in the middle of a naval shipping yard) but persevere because it’s worth it when you get there!

  • Review 105 (2019-05-23 - Rating: 4)

Beautiful rooftop, hidden in the middle of the navy yard in brooklyn. great for a warm day -- downside: way overpriced in my opinion ($100 for one carafe of wine, cheese and crackers)EDIT: ugh i hate to have to respond to this, but since the owner responded to my review I feel I should clarify certain things.- my bill was $83.83, if you add tip, it amounts to $100. so, yes, it was $100 indeed.- the brie cheese plate was a pre-pacagked brie cheese on a paper plate with a tiny serving of crackers.as i mentioned, though, the rooftop is beautiful, especially for on a nice day. but expen$$$ive

Great vineyardYou have to reserve online in advance so that you can drink really good wine upstairs (drank the Gewürztraminer and it was really good) and eat pizza. For every reservation you get a 0.5l pack of tetra pack water and chips. The pizza must then be ordered from a pizzaria and will then be brought to the respective table by a pizza delivery person. The atmosphere is really pleasant and you also have some opportunities to socialize with others. The view of the Manhattan skyline is another reason to go.All in all, it is a really good but also unusual vineyard that is definitely worth a visit, but a bit expensive. Remember that the wine bar is outdoors and dress accordingly as it can be relatively chilly.
