Salinas was a wonderful experience. Lisa took great care of us and made the night enjoyable. We tried several dishes, and everything was delicious, especially the octopus and skirt steak, which were real standouts. A solid spot for good food and great service!

Excellent experience but the tables are extra small! It doesnt get more uncomfortable than this if youre a party of four stuck into the cubby seats on the side as you enter the restaurant. The seats are upright and youve about 2 inches between your chest and the table (and Im not overweight).The food was very good though, delicate, delicious and a joy to eat. If it werent for the cramped quarters the rating here would be a 5.

Amazing! Amazing experience! Tapas were the best I’ve had. Our table tried most on the menu- the octopus, ceviche and croquettes stick out to me, but everything was outstanding. The drinks were fabulous as well. Our server, Israel, provided top-notch service and went above and beyond. At least five team members and the manager routinely checked on us. We even got a complimentary dessert!

We had a fabulous birthday dinner for my best girl Jordan. We had the whole tasting menu but my favorites were all the appetizers, grilled peppers, egg croquettes, potato’s with caviar, and salmon sashimi. For an entire I had the octopus. Every thing was delicious and gorgeous and they treated us so so well. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good restaurant for small groups, date night, solo dining or catching up with friends. The tables are quite small, so more than 4 people is a squeeze. The arugula salad, meat main, fish main were all delicious. Food is great. Skip the house wine, even during Happy Hour, its not great. Staff is friendly. Nice ambiance.

Amazing food! The dinner was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! We had few appetizers and main courses and they did not miss! My favorite was the salmon with baked potatoes and beef skewers. The desserts were also 10/10! For the drinks we ordered their signature ones and the mixologist did a great job, I loved the drinks so much! I’m definitely coming back again for the food, great service and amazing atmosphere.

My friends and I had a great experience here. The service was really good, friendly and attentive. I love the Balearic sunset cocktail and the food was amazing, I highly recommend the eggplant, one of the best things I tried this year so far. Also, the ambient is really nice, with live music on the background but not too loud, so you can still enjoy the conversation with your friends. Will be back for sure.

We walked up to some unsuspecting store front but after being walked down a long hallway We got sat outside in a beautiful open roof room. Got the brave potatoes with lumpfish caviar. Was outstanding. Got the octopus, was amazing as well. The Iberian ham was eh kind of tasteless but the quality was up there I think I might just not care for Iberian ham. The cocktails were excellent. Got the seafood rice which was on point. The service was very good as well the back waiter was on the ball and my captain was very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu items. The cheese cake was delicious and warm. The only negative things I could mention was some of the plating was a little lazy, sauce on the rims water spots on the plates that type of thing hardly worth mentioning. But my table was wobbly which was really annoying.However, I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant!

This place was a total vibe. We got a corner banquette in the back and it was great for people watching while dining. I had the grilled octopus, which was perfectly cooked and also tried my friends Bass that was so tasty. Such a beautiful space with incredible food and service. We showed up 20 min early and sat at the bar till our table was ready. Had a great conversation with the bar tender who recommended some dishes for dinner. I had the rice paella which was great. Full of flavor and fresh seafood. Had the squid ink croquets which were so damn good and filling. It’s so hard to find any kind of squid ink dish. And the steak was the star of the night. One of the best steaks I ever had. Cooked to perfection with the perfect seasoning and slight char. The desert was great as well. Had the burnt cheesecake and it was a perfect cap to the dinner.Definitely coming back for that steak. And hopefully the garden room roof is open next time.

Great dining experience at Salinas. Kind of shocked that its only a 4.3 Starred spot. Meanwhile the food is delicious, feels new and refreshing and is complimented by great service. We arrived a little early for a birthday meal and were accepted at the bar with no wait and got drinks almost immediately, no need to transfer bills to table. The first round of drinks (Balearic Sunset and Imitation of Life) were pretty good! and in 15 minutes or so we were brought to our table. The vibe is dim bar car on a midnight train. We sat in the beautiful atrium in the back perfect for a rainy night. We had Croquetas, Fried artchoke and beet plate which was amazing, some crispy potatoes and the European Sea Bass, which was some of the best fish I have ever tried. All in all a marvelous experience and would definitely go back!

Great experience! There were 4 of us to celebrate a birthday and the place is stunning. Its a great layout where they have small rooms with a few tables, a room with a bar and then also a back room with more seating. With the fresh flowers and the wonderful layout, this makes a great date night romantic dinner place.The cocktails were very good and the food was amazing. Such great options and creativity by the chef.The pulpo (octopus) was phenomenal and so were the sardines, oh they were so good!So were the branzino and the Iberico rice dish!Cant wait to go back!

This is a beautiful restaurant. The food is immaculate. My favorite is the bass along with the Japanese eggplant. The bartender Vivian is such a sweetheart. She has a lovely energy and accommodated me well Everytime. The waiter Irving is also very kind, he offered me free dessert which was fabulous. The texture of the cake was so good I must come back for it!

“What’s not to like here?” said the Michelin Guide back in 2017. I only discovered Salinatoday after living in Chelsea for over 3 years. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this place sooner. Food , cocktails. atmosphere and service all fantastic. Yes it’s a bit pricey but gosh was it worth it. Smoked salt cod on toast was fabulous, so was the bravas with caviar and beetroot with anchovies to name but a few. The basque cheesecake was a great finish. Thank you. We’ll be back very soon.

Super cute location in chelsea. Small venue but very cute. Went during the winter but during the summer the roof deck will open up. We enjoyed many different food options in tapas style including the shishitos, croquets, papas fritas, octopus, spaghetti, steak, and olive oil cake. Really enjoyed everything especially the octopus and the steak. Also had espresso martinis and vanilla martini. Service was amazing, very quick and very kind. Really enjoyed everything about this experience and one of my recent favorites in the city. Can’t recommend enough.

I looked up top Spanish restaurants in NYC and Salinas was high on the list. The 5 star reviews of this place are so true as the ambience, food and overall service was truly top notch. Our server Andrew was courteous, attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful which only added to our amazing experience. My wife and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary here and we will be back asap! Food was immense, the atmosphere was very romantic and refreshing, but the service itself was also very consistent. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate or just eat and drink at a nice place!

Salinas was a happy accident, after I got kicked out of Gin Bathtub next door. I traded a C+ crowd for an A crowd, including Tears for Fears, and Billy Idol (yes, both acts are still around) music producers. The crowd was approachable, chic, and well - dressed, but not pretentious. The food was amazing! How come Id never heard of this before, unlike my well - connected guest, who had? The service was on par with the food. $$$ - $$$$ out of $$$$$ The bathroom was clean. The establishment is handicable, and wheelchair friendly. Couldnt be happier - well maybe sitting by the fireplace. WARNING: 15 MINUTE HOLD TIME FOR A TABLE. Show up on minute 16, and youll be booted, so arrive on time!

Everything about this experience was amazing. From the decor to the natural light in the dining room to the food, all of my senses are treated to classy-yet-casual dining evening.Among the introductory dishes which were all very tasty, I was drawn to the coliflor al yogurt. This yogurt was a highlighted accoutrement that I didnt know roasted cauliflower needed. It was a refreshingly unexpected surprise.The paella was what you wanted it to be. The rice alone captured all the flavors which almost made the clams, shrimp, and chicken seem extra...almost. Add the entraña to the other proteins to grant the evening a decisive victory.And just when you think it couldnt get any better, the desserts where outstanding! The torrija was anything but what I imagined bread pudding to be. The passion fruit carried me to the end with the marmalade (and a slight hint of mint) to stick the landing.The pastel de queso vasco lists with a simple description, but it was more than the words. This has to be the creamiest cheesecake I have ever had. The burning gave the dessert a slight crunch yet caramelized it just enough to peak the sweetness. When you order one of these, order two.This was my evening. Its a pin on the map whenever I am back in the city.

Came here for dinner Friday night. We ate in the garden room which I would highly recommend! We shared everything: patatas bravas, croquetas, chicken and the rice dish with vegetables. Everything was amazing, its hard to pick a favorite. The white sangria which was also delicious. The croquetas of the day were steak, spinach and blue cheese which was a unique combination that I hadn’t had before but might have been the best croquetas I’ve had and we almost always get the croquetas at a tapas restaurant. Our waiter was also very friendly! 10/10 would recommend!

Even the desserts are fantastic and mouth-watering! Definitely fare you would not easily found at other establishments. The wait staff is attentive with out being overbearing, and the colorful ties are a nice touch!If you need to impress someone or treat someone to an amazing night out, this is the place to go! I made a reservation for late on a Sunday night with OpenTable, we received a large corner table with a lovely view very close to our reservation time.

Salinas is located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan. Located just a few blocks from The Chelsea Market on 14th Street. Salinas is has an intimate setting. It is on the smaller scale & very cozy. I loved how the lights were very dim & overall dark. Salinas is popular for dinning alone, but they can surely accommodate a large party. The restroom only has one stall, so be prepared to wait if you are visiting on a high peak day /hour. There is fire place all the way in the back, so if you do not want to sweat your makeup off or have sweaty underarms, make sure to dress accordingly. However, the fireplace is a beautiful touch! So the food and Service at Salinas - I was at Salinas in Dec, the service was phenomenal & EVERYTHING on the food menu and in the photos was DELISH. My favorite food was the branzino. Hope this helps!

One of the best Spanish restaurants in NYC, especially if you want to celebrate something special. Don’t expect the typical tapas in a wooden dish, this is more sophisticated and you can tell the chef is from San Sebastián because the food is outstanding. We didn’t have a reservation but the hostess was very kind and invited us to go to the bar and grab a seat. She came to see us a few times just to check how we were doing and after 20mim they offered us a table which we politely rejected because we like the bar. There we had a great time thanks to Daniel, who was extremely nice and attentive and made the experience 100% enjoyable. We tried the croquettes, the artichokes and the pulpo which was deserving a Michelin Star on its own. For dessert try the cuajada with the patxaran gel and a glass of “crema de Orujo”. We will go back for sure to try their fresh fish and many other dishes in the lovely open patio they have at the back

The food tasted amazing and plating was beautiful. The atmosphere is very elegant, pleasant, and clean. The server John was very attentive, polite, and charismatic. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice dinner out or even just a quick drink and tapas.

Sat at the bar for dinner. This experience restored my faith in a dining trifecta, service, food, atmosphere were spot on, even the patrons around us were so friendly. The bartender Steven is excellent. The owner made sure everything was good and really cared about the experience. We will be back.

Been here multiple times for special occasions with my wife. We have an amazing time always. Food is incredible, service as well. I love the atmosphere too. The walls are windows, so the space feels so much more open than it is. Our waiter/bartender Steven provided amazing service.

Excellent experience! Wonderful chuletón with vegetables sides and very enjoyable sangria. Fabian gave us a very warm and caring service as well as Vivian. We loved the atmosphere and the food’s quality is A+!!! We absolutely recommend the Salinas dining experience!
