I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Shiraz Kitchen and Wine Bar. From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was exceptional, making me feel instantly welcome. My server, Moses, was outstanding—his excellent guest relations skills, warm smile, and engaging demeanor truly elevated the experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The kebab was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and tender, while the Shiraz Salad was fresh, vibrant, and wonderfully seasoned. Every bite showcased the care and expertise that goes into their dishes. This restaurant has mastered the art of combining delicious cuisine with impeccable hospitality. I highly recommend Shiraz Kitchen and Wine Bar to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you, Moses, and the entire team for making my visit so memorable! -

Short review: I didnt actually eat much here, as I had an extravagantly expensive work lunch earlier that left me waddling like a penguin, and then a ridiculously lavish work happy hour. I *did* try a couple of bites of my friends Ghormeh Sabzi--my favorite Persian stew--and it was scrumptious. But mostly, I remember our drinks:- Call Me Honey: Sweet, just like the apologies I had to make to my liver when I went home.- My Heart Is on Fire: Tasty and perfect for pepper lovers- Mediterranean Mule: Spiced and spicy, like a certain 1995 world-dominating girl band.- Persian Queen: My favorite of the night.- Love & Poetry: More like love and regret at this point, but I had a good buzz going and this came with cinnamon.- Paris to Shiraz: Maybe the only cocktail dud. A bit too bitter and a bit too boring compared to all the other fun libation creations. Will come back to have a proper dinner one day. -

Been coming to Shiraz since they’re opening week and it’s so good to see how long they’ve came! Food is amazing, staff always go above and beyond and the atmosphere is fantastic specially with the live band which they’ve added recently. -

Oh my, oh my, oh myyyyyy- I truly fell in love with Shiraz Kitchen and Wine Bar. I was just swept away by the atmosphere, being accompanied by romantic jazz music in such a lovely and charming location. The server was incredibly friendly and kind, always with a genuine smile.I must say I enjoyed the best cocktail Ive ever had, the Fig in the Fog—it was heavenly. The Ghormeh Sabzi was outstanding, with perfectly cooked meat and incredible flavor. The beautifully presented ice cream was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.Thank you Shiraz Kitchen and Wine Bar for the absolutely amazing experience!!!!!!!! My favorite Persian restaurant!!! 😍 -

I was wondering in the neighborhood and happened to stumble upon this hidden gem. Walked in with no reservation, and was greeted by Lucino, who promptly accommodated me at the bar and was quick to take my order. He was very a attentive and cordial, made me feel appreciated and welcome. The drinks were also top tier! Would recommend. I don’t remember the name of the second drink, but it was his recommendation and it absolutely blew me out of the water. Would come again, can’t express how amazing my experience here was!! Give it a try! And shoutout Lucino for the amazing service! -

We had such a great dinner here. They have jazz playing on Friday nights. The band that played tonight was amazing. They played rag time and 1900 jazz from tin pan alley. Some music that had never been recorded. Our food was great. We had the chicken salad and the yogurt. The sea bass was amazing. The drinks were great too, with a solid mixed drink menu. Their wine selection is extensive including French wines. We didnt order any wine, but we did enjoy mixed drinks.Service was great and the restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. They have outdoor seating for those that are interested. We would certainly go back there again. -

The Mirza and Kashk Bademjan are delicious, we ordered Divan which was a big dish for 4 people, I recommend lamb shank of this dish. The saffron ice cream is one of the best in the U.S.It’s Ghormeh sabzi was too sour; the Gheymeh was not the one that I expected! -

Great experience of enjoying Persian food in the big Apple! Super friendly staff that go above & beyond to make sure you are comfortable. & understand the menu options! Food was super delicious their special rice is amazing as well as the saffron spice they use to cook! Highly recommended definitely won’t be my last time! -

Review 11 (2023-08-19 - Rating: 5)
The food was full of flavor and unique! Lots of options for vegetarians. They even tricked me thinking the eggplant in the Persian vegetable stew (which is amazing) was pulled pork cuz of the cool texture and visual presentation. My favorite was the soup ash-e-reshteh. The texture and depth of flavors were very memorable and delicious. They also give a plate of pitas, Persian cheese and tons of fresh herbs on the house to go with the dips we ordered. The varieties of spiced rice was also lovely.Only wish is they would make desserts free of refined sugar given the many natural sweeteners on Persian cuisine such as dates and pomegranate. -
Review 12 (2023-11-11 - Rating: 4)
We were craving some comforting Persian food and made reservations for this popular place! It was pretty packed when we got here, definitely a good call to get reservations beforehand. It is a VIBE here! Staff members are so friendly and nice. Got to learn a little bit about everyone and shared where we were from, such nice bantering! They also let us know what their favorite dishes were. We ordered:DOLMEHFresh grape leaves stuffed with rice and lemon juice. Great vegetarian app! Could have used a little more spice in the rice. Topped with pickled vegetables. I was not a fan of the pickled vegetables and thought it made the lemon juice in the dish have more of a vinegar taste to it.FRESH HERBThis is fresh herb plate of mint, basil, tarragon, scallion, spreadable feta, walnuts and crunchy radishes. The pita was just baked and nothing beats freshly baked pita. You just add a little bit of everything from the fresh herb plate and top your pita with it and the flavors are just phenomenal.KASHK-E-BADEMJOONThis is a super flavorful, but hearty fried eggplant dip. Finger licking good, topped with fried onion, garlic and whey. Just layer after layer of deliciousness. My new favorite dip if you ask me!MAST-O-BADEMJOONThis is also fried eggplant, but with yogurt dip. Simply delicious with the pita and herb plate!FILLET MIGNONThis was such a tender and delicately spiced tenderloin. With a nice lightly, charred crust, each bite was just meat heaven. The bed of saffron basmati rice paired very well with every bite of the tenderloin.GROUND BEEF KOOBIDEHSkewers of seasoned ground beef that are pretty similar to ground kebabs, but the Persian spices used to season the meat were sooo exotic. Nothing like I’ve had before!GHORMEH SABZII love this heart beef and herb stew, but I thought all the usual aromatic spices were missing their mark. It’s still a yummy dish, but was missing the fenugreek and different earthy herbs and spices that usually make this dish so wonderful. The beef could have been a little more tender. Disappointed I didn’t have a single piece of dried lime ball to make this dish more authentic and true to its roots. I think if you’ve never had this dish it’s definitely worth a try, but if you’re craving the rich and heartiness of Ghormeh Sabzi, I’d skip on this one.All in all, dinner was a wonderful experience and definitely worth a try if you are finding yourself wanting Persian food in New York! -

One of the best Persian restaurants in New York City. I have went to a few other so called Persian restaurant in the city but this stood champion. The food was amazing. There was a subtle modern touch to the food to make it more presentable to all cultures and match the ambiance, which I loved. Don’t skip the dessert, the faloodeh is a must. -

Review 18 (2023-07-02 - Rating: 5)
We ordered chicken sultani and fillet minion. The fillet mignon was so tender and juicy. Chicken Sultani has both chicken kabab and ground beaf. The ground beef had average quality but chicken kabab was good. Overal decent quality. -

This is one of our favorite spots for Persian food, and they have a fantastic wine list. All our meals have been memorable and the service warm & friendly. Most recently, Sophie made our family reunion dinner feel like a homecoming! And we hard to order two of the feta stuffed dates for the table, they’re just toooooo good. -
Review 20 (2022-06-26 - Rating: 5)
One of the best Mediterranean places Ive tried in the city recently. The staff was so kind and friendly. Reza (the owner?) took care of us personally and made a few recommendations. We first went in for just the starters and thought that would be enough but everything was so good that we went on to have an entrée as well.We had the hummus, mast-o-bademjoon, and Olivieh. All 3 were so delicious and perfect. Additionally we got some extra herbs, radishes and fet cheese. The feta cheese was the best part of the evening. It was melting in the mouth and so fresh. After we devoured these, we also ordered the Shandiz kebob. This also turned out to be perfect although the sour taste of barberry in the rice kinda threw me off but still it was a delicious dish.I would definitely visit again and try other menu items and also get a round 2 of the delicious feta cheese! -
Review 21 (2024-11-25 - Rating: 5)
Came for lunch. Huge wine selection , service was great and very attentive, server was very nice and accommodating. the koobideh had a nice beef flavor cooked just right and juicy, the barg kabab was also the closest thing i’ve had to authentic barg in new york, and it had nice peppery flavor, definitely will be coming back if im craving a good chelo kabab. -
Review 22 (2022-07-17 - Rating: 4)
The dolmeh was sooooo good, warm and delightful. I also had the lamb chops, which were ok. I did not enjoy the gin cucumber tarragon drink and the restaurant was kind enough to offer a dish to make up for it. Overall good place with great service. -

Absolutely the best Mediterranean food in NYC. I’ve been to Shiraz multiple times and can’t rave enough how good the quality of food and service is consistently each time. The red snapper was a special for the day and it was fresh, clean, and so flavorful. I always look forward to my next visit. You can’t do wrong with any dish at Shiraz. -

Stumbled upon this amazing gem of a restaurant. The quality is amazing and the vibes are unmatched. We ordered the Mirza which is a northern-Iran specialty dish that is not offered in many Persian restaurants. I got to say the quality of Mirza was amazing, must try. Order tahdig with a stew of your choice you won’t regret it. The Persian cheese and herb combination was delightful as well. And of course the desert- pistachio gelato with baklava just topped it all off. Make sure to check out this amazing eatery to take you deep in Iran. -

First time here and wonderful experience. I walked in and they checked my vaccine status and sat me immediately. The waitress Nomi was attentive and explained the dishes. I had the chopped chicken kabob. One word: JUICY! All Nomi. The dishes are meant to be shared, but if you’re feeling like me - you can take down half of one. They have a great one selection. Jazz music was playing and the vibe was chill. I had to the Tartufo for dessert (pictured below). So happy I stumbled upon this place. -

Very tasty Persian food, 100% worth to try, nice staff, great atmosphere, they do their best to keep the traditional way of cooking and original taste from Iran, they also have a very interesting drink menu, whoever design the menu is very creative, numbers of cocktails with Zafran, rose and rose waters which are delicious. The dessert are absolutely amazing. You should watch yourself to not overeating!!!This place is highly recommended for who loves Persian foods and who never tried Persian foods. -

I had the pleasure of happening upon this establishment while en route to my birthday dinner. How I wish that I had just stayed here and eaten!Linda was our server and she was a delight! We had wine and cocktails and enjoyed such a fabulous ambiance, good chatter and later on after dinner we returned for the most unique music experience that transported us back to the 1930s with its rhythm.Thank you Linda for making my birthday so awesome.I’ll make sure to return next time we’re in NYC!A grateful Canadian -

Review 49 (2024-02-04 - Rating: 5)
We arrived without reservations, and they were able to get us in. Unfortunately, the table was close to the front and was cold. They immediately reseated us in a warmer area. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant. Service was awesome. They proved recommendations, explained the menu, and did not rush us to decide. Water glasses were never empty. Food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. I mean everything from the appetizers, soup, and meal. There is nothing bad. The only issue was that they were sold out of most of their desserts. Once we decided to leave, the check came and was quickly resolved. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you like Mediterranean food. If you dont, try it anyway, and it may change your mind. 👍 -

10/10 - easily the best Persian food we’ve had in NYC. Not sure what was better, the food or the service. Every dish was authentic, had generous portions, and arrived fresh and timely. Our server was fantastic, but several other servers (as well as the owner) checked in with us throughout the evening. Will certainly be back soon. -

Oh my!! It was all good. We went in for a glass of wine but the owner and Monica (bartender) were so friendly we stayed for dinner. Don’t always get that in the City. Try this “neighborhood favorite “. -
Review 55 (2023-09-30 - Rating: 5)
Excellent Persian cuisine and very attentive but not overbearing service! -
Review 56 (2023-12-30 - Rating: 4)
The food was good, tried a variety of small dishes and two mains. The portions are big so think a main each and one starter is good enough. My favorite was the lamb shank and Kashke bademjan. Some other good dishes: sallad shirazi and gormehsabzi. Some bits of the menu is not at all Persian but I understand, maybe wanna please cust with other taste palettes.Cons and the reason why I didn’t give them 5/5: service was good but one thing that I never experienced before was them more or less closing the restaurant while we were sitting there. No communication of what time they close or anything, they just gave us the bill and turned on the lights. -
Review 57 (2024-02-19 - Rating: 5)
As an Iranian-American guy I was really pleasantly surprised by the epic food and atmosphere at Shiraz. Not only was the food delicious and beautifully cooked, but I can tell that the menu and the food was written and curated by someone who truly understands Iranian cuisine, and the vibe of the whole place was just awesome. I especially loved their mocktails and their mast-o-musir :)I want to also acknowledge how kind and hospitable the owner, Reza, is to all of his customers. He personally walks around to every table and welcomes them, asking how their food is and if there is anything they can do to make their night more enjoyable. Having the owner walk around any restaurant here in NYC is rare, but its so nice and refreshing to have that be a part of the experience, especially when it feels like Im coming back home to my own warm and loving Persian culture.Moteshakeram, Reza Khan -
Review 58 (2023-11-11 - Rating: 5)
We just discovered this restaurant a few weeks ago, and so far we have been there every week. We love the food, the service is great: people who work there are wonderful, and always remember you, and the owner just wants to please… He is wonderful! We just celebrated my birthday there and invited people who have never been there and they really loved it and the owner and the other staff couldn’t do enough for us! Great and super friendly, bartender, and great drinks too! My favorite food there is Gormeh Sabzii on Tadik, which is their appetizer… But it’s so much and so good! We always order for us the entry of Gormeh Sabzi, the Soltani, the Shirazi salad, and the eggplant appetizer… Oh, and when we were there for my birthday, we ordered baklava, and everybody agreed. It was the best they ever ate… And then the owner brought more warmed from the oven… OMG!!! Their two ice cream‘s are also delicious!Go and try for yourself; it’s wonderful!! -

For my sons birthday party, we decided to make it truly unforgettable by opting for the catering services of this remarkable Persian restaurant in NYC. What an excellent choice it turned out to be!The Ghorme Sabzi they provided for the event was simply the best Ive ever tasted. The tender meat and the medley of cooked herbs were a delightful blend of flavors that left everyone craving for more. It was the star of the party and received endless compliments from our guests. But the Ghorme Sabzi wasnt the only highlight. The entire menu they crafted for the occasion was a showcase of Persian culinary finesse. From the succulent kebabs to the fragrant rice dishes, every bite was a delight.Beyond the exceptional food, their catering service was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. They truly brought the spirit of Persian hospitality to our celebration. In short, if you want an unforgettable dining experience for your special event, this Persian restaurants catering services are a must-try. Your guests will be thrilled, and youll cherish the memories forever. My sons birthday party was an absolute success, all thanks to this fantastic restaurant! -

First of all, this restaurant has an excellent bar. Try the Mediterranean mule, which is made from saffron infused vodka. I had a high expectation for the food, considering it is one of the more expensive Iranian restaurants in NYC, and it didn’t disappoint. Also, I was there on my birthday, and the waiter was nice enough to bring me a piece of cake! -
Review 65 (2023-01-12 - Rating: 4)
Nice fancy Iranian restaurant. A bit pricey but the quality is good. The only problem I have with this place is that as an Iranian I was not happy with the portion of the dish, specially with the price. You see, us Iranians are used to have huge portions and their portion were okay but not enough kebob. Anyways I suggest this place and also try their fig in the fog cocktail, it tastes like heaven! -

This review is for the White Plains location. We absolutely love this restaurant. Reza, the owner, is the most friendly, kind, and genuinely caring person. He treats every diner as if he’s welcoming you to his home. Adela, one of the servers, is attentive without being intrusive. She too is welcoming and knows how the menu items are prepared. The food here is top notch. The vegetarian in our family always finds something to eat. The food is beautifully presented and is made using the freshest ingredients. The wine bar is extensive and the restaurant serves specialty cocktails you probably won’t find elsewhere. The White Plains location is beautifully designed. We have had several large family events at the old location in Elmsford. I can’t wait for another occasion to have another large family event at the White Plains location. In the meantime, we will continue having lunch or dinner here with our friends and each other. -

Our party of 9 had an outstanding dinner at Shiraz. The owner, Reza, helped us plan a beautiful three course menu, the wait staff were terrific, and the restaurant was lovely — (white table cloths, soft music in the background, conversational atmosphere). The Persian cuisine was delicious. We look forward to dining there again! -

Was in the mood for Persian food.. this place was highly rated esp in Chelsea.. so popped in Tue eve for dinner. Immediately palpable this was authentic, traditional high quality Persian food.. grade of meat was up thereLamb chops were .. chef’s kiss! Chilean sea bass was soft, buttery and yum. On bed of asparagus. Ordered the labneh so was able to add that sauce and dip.. otherwise this can feel a bit dryThe grilled chicken was delicious. If you like pistachio + almond, recommend ‘upgrading’ your rice to shirin rice (from white plain rice). Worth itAlso loved that you get real menus here.. no noise about scanning QR codes.. real menus with real prices that you can hold and understandHighly recommend! Hope to be back :) -

This is one of the best Persian restaurants around the east coast in terms of food quality and service. The staff are very attentive. The drinks were strong and delicious. The food also tasted great with the buttery and saffron- infused meats. The inside space is clean and classy. Totally recommend it if you are around New York. -

Ahhmazing! Service was impeccable. Waiters were so thoughtful. Food was perfectly timed - and absolutely delicious. The menu was very unique. We had the grape leaves, feta wrapped in dates… lamb shank with dill and fava bean rice. And the saffron ice cream was my favorite part - so refreshing. I would recommend this to anyone and would definitely return! Thank you!! -

Excellent Persian food, comfortable stylish space and solid cocktails, but the best part was our server Adeleh! She was so kind, caring, quick and intuitive. She knew what we needed before we ever thought to ask. She made our dinner with an old friend into a really special night. -

Shiraz kitchen is a fantastic restaurant. It has a great bar with unbelievably tasty cocktails and an impressive wine selections. The kitchen does an equally good job. The Persian food we have tried are great. I am personally a big Persian stew fan and love their Ghotmeh Sabzi. Very flavorful in a Persian (subtle ) way. Equally good if not better is their lamb Gheymeh.I have tried their falafel earlier and really like it. Last week I tried their Barg Kebab and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent taste and a big portion I must add. In occasion that I want to avoid red meat I try their fish (sea bass) and enjoy it with Sabzi Polo. All and all you cannot find a better place for Mediterranean food in the city. -
Review 82 (2021-07-10 - Rating: 5)
Stumbled across this place after 25 minutes of walking around the city incredibly hungry and unsatisfied by the restaurant options available. I’m SO glad I decided to walk to the west side because this place was fantastic. The service was amazing and our server was so kind and attentive. We ordered a bottle of their wine special and were VERY pleased. You definitely get your money’s worth here when it comes to food too. Needless to say, very satiated and will probably be coming back! -

As much as I look Persian, I am not. However the food is fantastic here. My wife and I (who is actually Persian) ate here and had a great time. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. It reminded her of home cooked food that her mom makes. And that’s the greatest compliment of all! Also the wine list is extremely well curated and is amazing and my wife loves the very large wine glasses that they serve in!I had the Sultani kebab and basmati rice dish, and it was excellent. The meat was perfectly cooked and the rice was extremely flavorful with their generous add of saffron. My wife had the Ghormeh Sabzi stew and rice and it was fantastic. Her words not mine “this was THE best I’ve ever had, probably the best on the east coast.” So I’d say you can definitely order this dish when you come and you’ll love it. (I never got the chance to try it because it was gone before I could blink!). She also had the yogurt and shallots appetizer which was amazing as well. Highly recommend for an appetizer.Lastly, the atmosphere is fantastic. My wife described it as Persian Buddha Bar. She ended up using Shazam to pick up a few tracks! All in all she and I highly recommend you come here! -

Yummy Persian food served at a sidewalk outdoor table. Delicious salads and fish, also variety of hot Mediterranean style specialties from Iran. They hold a Bib Gourmand award from Michelin, who cited their authentic cuisine and affordable prices. Agree and will add that their nice shed is a pleasant place to hang out on a summers night -

Previously have gone many times to the Shiraz Kitchen location in Elmsford NY with friends for “family dinner.” I came to the Shiraz Kitchen in Chelsea and brought my sister for the first time to try some delicious Persian food. The waiters and staff are so attentive and the food both gorgeous and exquisite. Shiraz kitchen has a lovely wine list and the kebabs are out of this world. So happy to have found Shiraz Kitchen closer to home. -

Excellent and pricey wine selection. Whole bunch of extraordinary hard liquors. Service is amazing: attentive, respectful and absolutely not annoying. Food is up to the par, prepared exactly to your taste. you will feel comfortable and relaxed. Nice place to have either a romantic outing or a family dinner. Not quite suitable for a big group although I am sure this can be arranged. Worth it, period. Go, try, enjoy. I did. -

Ive been to all of the persian restaurants in the city (and outside) and this is definitely my favorite. Apps and entrees were excellent quality and the drinks were a great addition. Ive been disappointed with persian apps in the city so far so i’m so glad Shiraz finally came here. Definitely try the yogurt and shallots!! -
