Really cool wine bar in NYC.All organic wines with really interesting flavor profiles.We had a bottle of orange wine with a low funk and a bottle of red wine with a higher funk level. They were both super interesting and fun to drink. The bartenders were super knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations!

It’s a good place to just get a glass or two of wine. The food was not worth it. The charcuterie board was just these slices of meat which tasted fermented and also kind of like Lunchables. The waitress was very curt and impossible to get ahold of. We would order one item and she would start walking away before finishing our order.

One of the best wine bars in the city. If you are a wine lover and adventures to try different wines, this is the plan to be. A great selection of skin contact wines ( just like the bar’s name) from all over the world, the staff has great knowledge of wines and can recommend you great stuff. It’s an intimate place for besties and lovers to share a bottle.

A wonderfully moody escape from the hustle and bustle of the Lower East Side. As soon as you walk through their unique red door, youre transported to a dimly lit dream - where it feels like anything is possible. Where it feels like you could meet someone that might just change your life. Thats the magic appeal of a wine bar - and one as curated, special, and unique as Skin Contact will not disappoint.The staff were friendly and provided excellent recommendations based on our personal preferences. We ended up trying seven different kinds of wine, and each one had its own excellent flavour profile. Kudos to the sommeliers and wine selectors.I loved this hidden gem and would love to come back on my next trip to NYC. Do yourself a favour and dont miss out on this wine haven.

If you’re looking for the dopest wine bar in Manhattan, look no further. The wine selections are eclectic and high quality. There are a couple of “crowd pleaser” wines on the list (to be expected) but the majority of the BTG list is funky, fun, and palate challenging. Try something new here, you won’t be disappointed. The staff are knowledgeable and love to geek out about the wines. Overall a 5/5 wine journey. Loved it so much, we came twice on our trip. Will definitely be back in the future.

This place is a fantastic wine bar! 🍷 Skin Contact serves wonderful selection of unique wines 🍾 including skin-contact wine a.k.a Orange 🟠 Wine (white wine where the grapes 🍇 are fermented with the skins on and is not removed). Definitely try their LAG wine! Staff 👨‍🍳 is super professional and friendly, service is quick ⏲️, ambience 🎶 is great, and the place is nicely decorated. 🛋️ I wish I heard about this place sooner!

Ok so if you don’t know this place yet you have to stop whatever you’re doing and go there !!! As a French girl living in the city, I’ve been looking for a wine bar that feels like home forever! and I just found it. The owner Salma is the most lovable person with such an amazing story and such an incredible smile !! The food is amazing and the wine selection changes almost every day - what?! I love it. This is my go-to place going forward. Hands down Salma, you’re such an inspiration!

Really cool wine bar with a very date-nighty ambiance perfect for date nights and friendly gatherings! My friend and I tried one of their skin contact wines as well as a bubbly rose, and both were great. The servers will give you great recommendations if you are not necessarily a wine expert.

Skin Contact is hands down my favorite wine bar in the city. They specialize in natural wines which really differentiates them from the crowd. Everyone, and especially Stefanie, is super welcoming, sweet, and knowledgeable about wines. No matter if youre a wine novice or connoisseur, the staff will be able to pick something that fits your palate.We came on a Sunday and it was bustling but not full. There is bar counter, table, and outdoor seating. The ambiance would make for a great date or catch up spot. There were plenty of regulars which really attests to how great of a wine bar this is. They get pretty busy Friday and Saturday, so I would definitely come early or make a reservation on Resy!Overall, would 100% recommend that you come check this place out before they become more well-known and hard to reserve! Its a wonderful local business and a great addition to LES.

A great place for a glass of natural wine. Staffs are friendly. The bar is on the smaller side, so prepared to wait on weekends. The bar is dark and romantic with exposed brick. But since it gets loud inside when it’s crowded, probably avoid on first dates? Actually, forget about dates. Just go and a beautiful bottle of white with friends. BTG ranges from $14-20. They have a patio on sidewalk for those who prefer outdoor seating

I love this place. New York has 2,500 bars and Im only slightly exaggerating when I say I would trade Skin Contact for all of the remaining 2,499 combined. The wines are consistently memorable and the staffs recommendations are top notch — at this point, I think Semi knows my tastes better than I do. The space feels intimate but not cramped, quiet enough for a conversation but not stuffy. Best for a group of 2-4, although the large table at the back can seat more.

Stefanie was fabulous and really made us feel at home. Great recommendations and conversation. Took me back to what I used to love about 10 Bells circa... 10 years ago.
